My Fox
Sorry I took so long to post this. This is from Valentine's Day and I'm a lazy bum so I'm posting it now. Hope you like my poem anyway.
PS-If anyone cares I added more to my story called The Odd Couple. I don't know if it shows up as a new story or not so I'm mentioning it here.
Truth be told my fox is no fox at all.
His paws run with the beat of a fox's pawsteps,
While his hands are pale and hold me when I fall.
The fox tail waves in pleasure when I return,
When emeralds glow from un-foxlike eyes.
Though his heart glows with the soul of a fox,
He is a fox with a human's guise.
The being inside strives to be free.
Each day the love inside us grows stronger
And each day the fox longs for the key.
At times I can feel it, just underneath,
Then, like a flash, it is gone once more.
One day the animal will escape
And my fox will be himself to the core.
I love every part of my fox.
Each quirk of his is endearing.
From his failure to clean up his socks
To apologizing for each little thing
Naught matters, but the love we share
Not one person is without fault
And I love him because he does care.
His every thought seems to be of me.
Whether I want to talk or just cuddle.
What I might want or need he seems to forsee.
My fox holds me close and calms me if I cry
And cheers me up when I am depressed
I think the world and more of my fox,
To love him as much as he loves me is my test.
Happy Valentine's Day My Fox <3
