So Young, So Dear
I would LOVE so critique.
A sorta-personal thing... About my dearest childhood friend. She's the best friend I ever had, and she's not that person anymore. She just doesn't know it.
When we were young
I held you dear
We lived, We laughed,
We conquered fear
We dragon-slayed,
we challenged fate,
we beat all foes,
but as of late
The thing of life
that once I knew
fell away
and so withdrew
The light once held
in shining eyes,
Day by day
I watch it die
We are so young,
and you so dear,
I only wish
you were still here
