The Adventures of Stevo-Chapter 8-Pokemon,2012,Part 2
The next morning, Stevo woke up by the smell of hot coffee. He got out of his sleeping bag & slowly walked to where the rest were eating their breakfast.
"Good morning, all." Stevo said as he walked towards them.
"Good morning." They said in union.
"So, what's for breakfast?"
"We've got some coffee & some candy bars. Here, take one." John said to him & have him a candy bar.
"Eh, I'm usually not that hungry in the morning, but okay." Stevo said as he unwrapped his candy bar. He then looked at the thermo Lucario had just put down.
"Lucario, can you give me that thermo, please?"
"Sure, why not?" He gave him the thermo like he was told. Then he realized he forgot to tell him that the coffee they had wasn't filtered.
"Stevo, be careful, the coffee's not-*Stevo blows raspberry*-filtered. Ew." He looked at himself covered in coffee grain Stevo spitted out.
"Ugh, no offense, but this is probably the worst coffee I've tasted since Horse Branch." Stevo said as he wiped the grains off his mouth with his shirt.
"What's Horse Branch?" John asked, while helping Lucario get the grains off of him. Stevo looked back at John.
"Oh sorry about that. Horse Branch is a small community church I went to a few times when I lived in America."
"Oh." John's watch went off & he looked & saw that it was a few minutes past 11.
"Guys, we've got to get a move-on if we want to meet Sensei." So they quickly packed their things & began continuing their journey.
When they arrived, John gave a good look at the Japanese-styled building.
"Well, this is it. Hosokawa Fighting Dojo." They all entered the door & Stevo shut it behind them. Then a large man popped out in a battle stance. *Siegfried's language is translated for now on*
"Why do you come here?" The large man asked.
"My Lucario & our friends & I have come to seek training under Sensei Hosokawa."
"If you want to see Sensei, you have to go through me first!"
"STOP!" a voice yelled. They all looked to see a small old man wearing traditional Japanese attire. He stroked his long white beard, while walking towards them.
"Siegfried, what is the meaning of this?" The small man looked up at him.
"I'm sorry, Sensei! These four unwittingly stumbled here looking for you."
"Siegfried, wait there." The man looked up at them as Siegfried walked away.
"I'm sorry for his behavior, he has yet to learn his place. Anyway, have you all come to seek training under me?" They bowed at him.
"Yes, we wish to improve ourselves through your training." The old man smiled.
"Excellent. Follow me." They all followed him inside his HQs.
Inside, they looked around as they walked, amazed at such oriented decorations. Then Sensei sat down on his pillow & struck the cane against the floor, which got their attention.
"So, you came here to train under me?"
"Yes, we do."
"Good. Your training will begin in the morning. Now, let Siegfried show you to your quarters & introduce you all to the other students."
"Thank you, Sensei." They all bowed & left with Siegfried to go to their quarters.
When they came back from their quarters, they went to see the other students, who were sitting around a Japanese table eating.
"Students, let me introduce you all to our newest ones. John, Lucario, Stevo, & Combusken."
"Hello!" The students at the table said to them.
"You four, take your seats, I must go & tend the garden." Siegfried told them, then left with the door shut behind him. They sat down with the others & began eating their rice that was prepared for them.
"So, who are you guys?" Stevo asked them.
"I'm Kyo, this is Donal, & our Pokemon, Ninetales & Mankey." One of the students said as he pointed out & they waved at them. Donal took his hand out & spoke.
"Nice to meet ya, mate!" He was about to shake hands with him when Kyo grabbed him by the collar & whispered to him.
"What are you 2 whispering about?"
"Oh uh, nothing." Donal gave a nervous smile.
"Anyway, nice to meet you all. Where did all of you come from?" Stevo asked as he ate his rice.
"I came from America, & Donal here is from Ireland." Then Stevo saw that he forgot to mention where their Pokemon came from.
"Uh, what about your Pokemon?"
"Oh that, it's a long story if I told you about how I met Ninetales. What about you two? How did you meet yours?"
"Well, I met Combusken when I fell out of a tree, but John knew Lucario when he was an egg." Kyo looked confused on the first one.
"What were you doing in a tree?" They all looked at him.
"Um, I rather not explain that." The room went silent for a few moments.
"So, mind if I show you all to your rooms after supper?"
"Sure, why not?"
After they finished eating their rice, they went outside & walked towards the rooms, & then they all went to theirs to rest for their morning training. But just as Stevo was about to fall asleep in his quarters, the figure came in a cloud of smoke.
"What are you doing here this time? I hadn't seen you since Stormalong." Stevo whispered. The figure looked at him blankly.
"Stevo, this is your final mission." Stevo's eyes widened as he heard those words.
"Wha-what do you mean?" He looked worried.
"Stevo, from making friends & saving the day, to fighting villains & dodging trouble, you've done quite well going through all of it. But after this, you are relieved of your duties. Now I must go. Good night."
"Wait! I've been wondering: What's the point of doing all this?"
"You'll find the answer when you sense it. Now I must go." The figure left in a big ball of flash as Stevo looked confused on the answer it said.
"Stevo, who are you whispering to?" Combusken called him.
"Oh, I'm just thinking of a little song." Stevo answered back.
"Okay... night, Master."
"Night, Combusken. *whew*" He started to fall asleep after everything went quiet.
