A non-tf story, astounding right? Anyway, got inspired to do this and wrote it quickly while on this strange tangent. But I am rather pleased with the results. This story contains some medical details, and I hope no one is too offended by that, but I do think the particulars aren't too bad. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

What to Expect When it's Unexpected

by Chickenboy

It was late that night in mid-May, and there was a great deal of commotion around the park's lake. It wasn't just from the boisterous, intoxicated group of college students making their way through the darkened groves, wandering aimlessly after the party had ended. Noise also came suddenly from the two birds now wildly angered, and attempting to chase the intruding thieves in the dark. Ducking this way and that, narrowly avoiding trees and shrubs, the group stopped running , having lost the two swans some ways back.

"Whew," said one girl in a mix of laughter and relief, "that's done. You got it, right?"

"Sure did!" exclaimed a young man, holding up an oval shaped object, white colored that glinted in the faint moonlight. "But you don't dare for that kind of shit ever again."

"You baby," the girl said as the others chuckled. "It was just a couple overgrown ducks."

"Fine then, *hiccup*, you do it next time."

"Oh shut up you two," a second girl said. "You just are doing this crap 'cause you broke up last month?"

"Says the girl without a boyfriend who banged half the water polo team," another man said as he leaned against a tree.

"Stop trying to impress him!" another voice called. "You know you just want to fuck him."

"Oh what the fuck ever!" the second girl exclaimed, knowing all too well the rumors about her. "Screw this. Who's turn is it?"

"Brian got the egg, so he gets to ask" someone in the crowd said.

"Alright I, *hiccup*, pick Stacy," the inebriated man with the swan egg said. The girl who had just yelled out rolled her eyes in frustration.

"Yeah," someone from the crowd jeered.

"Make her do something nasty!" someone else shouted.

"Yeah," Brian snorted in bemused agreement. "I'm, n-not sure what we should make her do."

"She might pick truth, not dare," the first girl pointed out.

"Oh, she-she'll do dare, alright," the drunk man by the tree put in. "B-because she's nasty like that."

"Come on, show us some tricks!" another random shout came.

Fed up with the calls and taunts, Stacy grabbed the object out of Brian's hand.

"You want to see something nasty!?" she yelled angrily. When the shouts of encouragement roared through the air, Stacy undid her pants and pulled her panties aside. Everyone watched aghast as the young woman, with a huff of pleasure, brought the egg to her crotch and gently inserted one end into her folds. Eyes went wide, those that weren't so drunk as to believe what they were seeing, as in a few seconds the ovoid was pushed inside the woman's body. Stacy shuddered, feeling the large, round object slide into her passage, each movement of her body making it slip up or down, sending odd but pleasant sensations through her body. Removing her hands from her crotch, she stood there with a look rather between smugness and contempt directed at those around her. "Nasty enough for ya?"

A murmur and a couple lone cheers rose up from the crowd. But they had not long to think on what had happened. Just as Stacy was about to push the thing out of her, a couple flashlights appeared from the bushes, followed by loud whistles.

"Cops!" someone shouted, and the group suddenly splintered and ran in all directions. Stacy barely could get her pants buttoned before taking off through the darkness, a couple people running besides her. In her intoxicated state, Stacy all but forgot the object still tucked inside her cunny, only feeling intense pleasure as her inner walls clenched and slid around it while she ran. In the gloom, Stacy did not see the root protruding from the ground, her foot catching on it and sending her tumbling forward. As she landed flat on her stomach, she yelped as a strange, pinching feeling from inside caught her attention, almost like a popping sensation. Another yell from the pursuing police soon had her on her feet and sprinting onwards, forgetting such things.

Soon she was out of breath, collapsing in a stand of trees near the edge of the park. Looking back, she saw nothing through the dark, and figured she'd lost the police. She was startled as, a split second later, another form ran quickly into the sheltered glen, panting for breath as well. Looking down, she recognized Brian hunched over as he also checked for pursuers. As she looked at him, a rather handsome young man, she couldn't help but feel attracted and turned on. The liquor, excitement of the chase and the lingering pleasure she felt from her sensitive inner walls made her mind want only one thing at that moment.

"I think they're go-" Brian tried to say, only to be cut off by Stacy planting a kiss on his lips.

"Yeah," was all she said.

"The hell is going-" he tried saying.

"Oh shut up," Stacy said, kissing him again as she fumbled with his belt.

At first trying to resist, Brian was in a similar mental state and soon gave in. The two, overcome by their inebriations, spent the night in the grove, sharing the quick but intimate moment, then passing out on the cool grass once sated. The next morning, they woke up in the awkward place, their clothes disarrayed but showing clear signs of what had transpired. Both had almost no recollection of the previous evening, and as it turned out so did nearly all the others who were in the company. Hung over, and thoroughly embarrassed, both briefly talked about what had happened, remembering only enough to know they had acted the fools. With no other words needed, they dressed as much they could, and simply walked away.

The short remainder of the term ended, spring turning to summer. Stacy was eager to take the time off, especially as she hadn't been feeling well for a few weeks. As time ticked by, though, the young woman began to notice odd signs. She had begun to gain weight, having acquired a bit of a tummy already. People had commentated she had been slightly moodier than usual. Stacy at first dreaded what it might mean, suspecting what it was at a subconscious level. She waited another few weeks, knowing she had already missed one period and hoping the next one would show. When it didn't however, Stacy bolted to the drug store and purchased the best pregnancy test she could find.

Back at her apartment, she sat on the edge of the bath tub, waiting anxiously for the time to elapse and the results to be shown. She wondered what she would do if it turned out to be positive, what it would mean for her studies, what her family would think, if she was ready to be a parent. Stacy knew already, if she was indeed pregnant, that Brian would in all likelihood be the father. But as soon as the term had ended, the young man had dropped out of college and, to the best of her knowledge, enlisted in the army and was now deployed somewhere overseas. She wondered what he would think, or if he'd be willing to help with an unplanned pregnancy and child.

The beep on her watch went off, signaling the time was done on the test. Taking a breath, she reached over and checked the indicator on the stick, double checking the box to be sure. She sighed heavily as she read the result again, seeing the mark for positive.

Over the first part of the summer Stacy could do nothing but sit on the couch and ponder her situation. She had already visited a doctor as soon as she had taken the test, and she had no idea that such a visit would be so difficult for her.

"Well, from what I'm seeing," the doctor had said, "you're doing very well, and I see no signs of any problems for the baby. Though I would have recommended you to have come and seen me earlier."

"That would have been, uh, hard for me," she replied.

"How so?"

"This was, well, not exactly, planned, per say," Stacy answered reluctantly.

"Oh, I see," The doctor said in compassionate understanding. "Does the father know?"

She shook her head.

"I, um..." Stacy stammered, "I don't even know what I'm going to do."

The doctor nodded solemnly, but with the practice of doing such things many times, he began to ramble into the speech he gave to all hesitant potential mothers.

"Just know that you're not alone in any of this," he said. "There's plenty of help out there if you need it, whether you decide to keep the baby or not."

"No, no I didn't-" she started in shock. Stacy was rather on the fence about abortion, but never thought she would be in a situation where she'd have to decide.

"I don't necessarily mean that," the doctor replied. "There are people who can help if you decide to keep it. Or, of course, there's the option of putting it up for adoption. But don't feel like you have to decide today, you've got time to think it over, for whatever recourse you wish to take."

Stacy only nodded, not feeling like answering.

"I'll have the nurse give you some of the information on these options, and on the things you need to do to keep healthy now. Feel free to come back anytime you think there's a problem, and for standard check-ups."

Stacy had left the doctor's office overwhelmed by emotions. Fear, apprehension, anger and to some extent, shame, all boiled up inside of her. As the days passed, though, she was able to calm down and think on it more rationally. As days turned to weeks, Stacy had contemplated her situation, consulted her friends, the doctor and family, and made up her mind on the course of action to take. She knew she had not the resources to care for a child the way it should be, but she still wanted to let the baby come into the world. After careful consideration, she resolved that as soon as the baby was born, it would be placed up for adoption, so it would have a better home than she could hope to provide.

The end of summer drew to a close and the semester started again. She was actually glad most of her friends, a year ahead of her, had graduated in the spring. She already got enough stares from other classmates and did not want to endure questions from them. She resolved not to tell Brian, knowing that he too could not properly provide for the infant, and not wanting to pressure him when he was already stationed in who knows where.

Stacy had actually begun to change her perspective on the situation, refusing to feel sorry for herself or sink into depression. She was optimistic the child would be placed with a good adopted family, and this experience would give her the insight on what pregnancy was like, so when she was ready for a family of her own she would be ready. Most of her time was spent writing her thesis, so it was an easy enough work load. She was as nervous as anyone could be, made worse by her raging hormones, but Stacy worked all the more diligently to make sure her life did not take a down swing.

Early on in the fall term, though, she made a decision that her doctor did not fully support. Encouraged by an acquaintance, who had a similar experience, Stacy opted for a more natural pregnancy and eventual birth, not relying on hi-tech or invasive procedures to check the health of the fetus. Her doctor didn't have much to complain about initially, as her routines had her cut all junk food out, eating much better and exercising regularly in the gentle ways other pregnant women do so as to not put unnecessary strain on the baby's development. And already having given up drinking for the time of her pregnancy, Stacy also decided to give it up altogether, remembering times she had gotten into serious trouble, or woken up in unfamiliar places after a night of overindulgence.

In truth, some of the only things he did hate were when she opted out for what, to him, seemed like regular and simple procedures like sonograms, and having him do only simple tests with his basic instruments. He made his objections plain, but Stacy stood firm and resolute on the matter. As weeks passed, though, no adverse signs appeared and she seemed like a perfectly healthy woman with child.

As fall began in earnest, her figure had by now filled out. Her healthier diet and regular exercise had done wonders to keep most of her shape in check. She had the prominent belly, but aside from that she still had her curves, sinewy arms and strong legs. More than once she was stopped by another woman on the streets, pregnant or with kids in tow, asking her about when she was due, if she knew what gender it was, and complimenting her on how amazing she looked, joking that they wished they had her body when they were pregnant. Stacy took it all in good stride, but couldn't help but feel a twinge of pride every time that happened.

The holidays came, and Stacy almost dreaded returning to see her family. She had to endure the ordeal of having her mother and father lay out what their thoughts on the situation was, feeling almost like a child being scolded. But it turned out to be far less severe than she thought, though no one could have missed the slight hints of frustration in their voices. While relations with them had definitely been strained, they also assured her that they believed her decision of adoption was for the best, and they would support her in whatever way they could until that day came. After the happy, if awkward, holiday season passed, Stacy returned to school as she entered her third trimester.

She spent the weeks in January getting in touch with a few adoption agencies, choosing to remain anonymous but getting assurances that the family lined up to get the child was indeed eager for a baby and could provide a future for it. Time continued to pass, and so far all through her pregnancy Stacy had remained healthy and active, with no adverse or odd signs that something might be wrong.

As she passed the seven and a half month mark, Stacy felt the need to eat more, not to any extreme proportions, but enough to be noticeable. She had expected that she would be very hungry quite often, but it seemed to her this was odd. A call to her doctor and the health consultant both told her it was typical to have increased appetites and strange cravings, so she put it out of her mind. As time dragged on, though, she couldn't help but notice her gaining weight at an ever faster rate.

During that same time as well, the baby, which had often made itself known as it kicked and moved within her, seemed to do so more frequently and with greater and greater force and effort. On more than one occasion she had actually seen her belly bulge and contract prominently as the life within pressed hard against her uterine walls. The entire scenario seemed to be changing ever more quickly, with each day bringing increased vigor from her baby and an ever growing appetite. Despite all reassurances, she couldn't help but feel something was not quite right with her pregnancy.

The eighth month passed with much the same, her belly now looking extremely pregnant, as if she were fully due and then some. By the first days of her ninth month, however, Stacy knew something was wrong. It started soon after her rapid weight gain, with some minor difficulty breathing. It felt like there was a constant weight on her chest that, over the next few days, had grown until she felt out of breath after only minor activity. By the time she had called her friend and the consultant, she felt like she could not catch her breath even while sitting down. When they found her, even they were all for taking her to the hospital.

Stacy lay propped up on the couch, her belly swollen and body drenched in sweat. She was breathing heavily and her complexion was a bit pale. She had eaten hardily and had drunk plenty of fluids, but nothing seemed to give her enough energy any longer. The consultant, a private practice doctor, thought it might be some kind of illness that had hit in her fragile state. At eight and a half months, they felt confident that, if needed, the baby would be fine outside the womb, especially if it turned out they needed to get it out right away to keep Stacy from harm.

After loading her gravid form into the car and checking her into the hospital, the doctor went to see to getting some initial tests run. The preliminary examination the on call doctor had given was that her body seemed starved for nutrients and oxygen, the baby taking perhaps more than was needed. He recommended delivery as soon as possible, to which Stacy agreed to after a brief period of thought. Leaving her to get everything ready, Stacy lay in the hospital bed alone in her room and trying to sleep, awaiting the doctor's return or a nurse to take her down for one thing or another. She felt exhausted, and was about to nod off when a sudden, cramping pain rippled through her.

Stacy yelped as another hit a few moments later, followed quickly by more. All the while, she could feel the baby kicking and squirming with vigor like she had never felt, as if trying to break out of her. As another contraction hit, a gush of fluids soaked the bed. Stacy cried out, wondering where the hospital staff were, but paralyzed and unable to reach for the button to call the nurse. The labor pains came in rapid succession, and she knew something was amiss and very wrong. She felt a pressure building inside, like the being within was trying to force its way down and out of her womb. As another contraction rippled across her body, Stacy felt her cervix dilate and something slip into her birth canal.

Whatever it was seemed to be pushing out on its own accord, but also seemed to be moving rather quickly with each contraction. It still took several minutes, but she soon felt her walls stretched around the mass inside as it was nearly at her opening. It felt strange, and Stacy was certain that giving birth shouldn't feel the way she was feeling. There was pain and great discomfort to be sure, but it felt as if her insides were being pushed and prodded, as if dragged around by the mere effort of the birth. Also the emerging mass didn't feel large and shapely, but rather elongate, as if snaking its way out of her. She couldn't think too much of it, however, and just focused on pushing.

She pushed hard, feeling the first hints of it emerging. She relaxed, leaning back to catch her breath, preparing for the last great effort. With a series of guttural groans she bore down, willing her internal muscles to work and push the baby out. The mass within began to move, rather quickly, and Stacy could only clench her eyes and gasp in a mix of pain and pleasure as she felt something slipping easily out of her, inch by inch by inch as if it were several feet long. But rather suddenly, it stopped its emergence. She could feel the large mass still inside her, but it felt as if it had lodged itself in and could not budge another inch, and trying harder only induced jolts of pain. Still, she could feel herself stretched around the foreign mass, as if it were only part way out. Her pain died away slowly, and she was left feeling rather comfortable, and enjoying the feeling. She sat back with her eyes shut, waiting for the next contraction, but it never came, as if her labor was done but left the baby still mostly inside her.

As her breathing slowed and quieted, Stacy became aware of the gasping hiss of another's breath, and then was startled as she felt the mass protruding from her vagina twitch and move on its own. Her eyes bolted open, afraid if the baby was alright, but she was struck dumb at what she saw. Emerging from her body was a long, white, feather covered neck, crowned with a rounded, bill-adorned face, the entirety of it still slick with fluids. It turned, the motions sending shivers of pleasure through Stacy's body, and stared up at her with ink black eyes. It was no illusion, what stuck out from her opening was the head of a swan. Stacy felt light headed, the world around her spinning and going dark as she fainted in shock.

The next few days saw a flurry of activity, tests and examinations the likes of which no one at the hospital had ever seen. The nurse who first walked in took one look at the avian head that stared at her, protruding nearly two feet out of the girl's nether lips, and had screamed bloody murder running down the halls. Many other nurses and doctors nearly did the same. By the time Stacy awoke, she hoped it had all been a bad dream, and nearly fainted again when she saw that it wasn't. She tried to keep calm, but the sight and sensation of such a thing nearly drove her mad. Eventually with some persuasion, and mild dose of sedatives, she had calmed down enough to let the doctors examine her.

She answered their questions as they poked and prodded not only the head and her vaginal lips, but her still very gravid-looking belly. One thing they all noticed was that she felt and looked much better than before, being able to breath easily again. When they brought in her lunch, she ate it hungrily as if she'd fasted for days. But they all halted in mid-sentence and mid-chew as without warning, the swan head pivoted around and snagged a piece of bread, quickly devouring it. Doing their best to conduct the basic physical, and finding nothing overtly wrong with her health aside from the conspicuous swan itself, they quickly wheeled her down for an x-ray and MRI.

The doctors had trouble getting not only Stacy to hold still, but the animal as well. It showed no interest in remaining in one position, especially inside the machine, and each time it moved it sent shivers of pleasure through Stacy as her walls were stimulated. A nurse had cleverly suggested anesthetizing the animal, and a quick call to the local veterinarian gave them the right dose to put it to sleep while the images were shot. When the results came back, no one could believe what they were looking at.

The pictures showed the skeletal structure and outlines of soft tissue one would expect on any woman. Her womb, however, appeared completely full and stretched, containing within it the body of what appeared to be a full adult swan, its long, tapering neck pushing past the cervix, then down and out of her vagina to emerge into the open air.

"I've never seen anything like it," the doctor proclaimed as he looked at the images. Aside from himself, there was only one nurse and Stacy in the room, as they were trying to limit the frenzy that had sprung up around her.

The nurse who was with him looked on in equal shock, turning her gaze back and forth from the x-ray and the woman sitting on the bed, the avian head poking up from under the sheets she had covered herself with. Stacy lay there gently stroking the head, something that oddly enough had calmed it after it awoke startled from the anesthesia. It now was quiet, but darted its gaze this way and that. Stacy, meanwhile, had the look of shock and bewilderment she had had since awakening after her labor.

After the strenuous process was done, Stacy was very eager for answers and to be done with the gossip and circus spectacle nature that hung in the air. To Stacy's further embarrassment, already one girl from the eventful night had shown up, recalling how Stacy accepted the dare and had shoved the egg into her body in the first place. The doctors surmised that, with it likely not coming out, some fluke of nature had let it not only slip into her womb, but that she was at the right time when her body was fully ready to be fertilized and bear young, so as to let the egg survive and grow inside. The months the egg, then the chick and finally the adult pen, for it turned out to be a female bird, had spent within its human host, no one had suspected a thing as there were few apparent problems, and Stacy had not undergone any more thorough examinations.

"I'm amazed the labor ended of its own accord," he continued, setting the picture aside. "Not that it would have done much good had it gone on anyway."

"What do you mean, doctor?" the nurse asked, seeing Stacy still too shocked to form a question.

"The animal inside is too big to fit out of her vaginal tract," he answered. "In fact, it seems her pelvic bone has made it lodge itself this way, and the head is the only part small and slender enough to have emerged. And it seems fortunate it happened that way."

"Fortunate!?" Stacy exclaimed.

"It may not seem so now," the doctor continued, "but beyond the fact you gestated a swan to its full growth, if it had been able to slip out, it likely would have torn the flesh in your birth canal so bad you might have bled to death, especially with how fast it happened. Now it seems that with the head out, your muscles have closed around its lower neck to seal off your womb."

"But what about her other symptoms beforehand?" said the nurse. "She was suffering oxygen and nutrient depravation throughout her body."

"Well the nutrient one we can remedy in time," he began. "The oxygen problem was by far the most serious as it seemed your body simply could not take in enough to supply itself. I think having such a large creature inside her, taking up so much oxygen from her blood was a major factor. But now that its head is out, and it's breathing for itself the demand on her lungs is dimished. In fact, from what we've seen, your body is rather accepting of this new passenger."

"H-how so?" Stacy asked shakily.

"All our tests show the animal is healthy, and that you are on the mend as well," he began. "But it seems you two have a rather unique arrangement, and are actually in a kind of symbiosis."

Stacy looked confused.

"Basically," the doctor went on, "you both are living off one another. What we saw from the endoscope is that the bird is still attached to you via an umbilical cord. And also your placenta shows no signs of degeneration. Quite the contrary, in fact, as we found many rather substantial blood vessels flowing into it. And just as you gave the bird sustenance during its gestation and growth, it now seems it is returning the favor."

"What does that mean, exactly?" the confused woman asked a bit agitated.

"From what we can tell, the whole animal is acting like another set of organs for you. As soon as it was able to draw breath, your body ceased being starved of oxygen and we saw a drastic shift and increase in your metabolism. If anything I'd say with the second heart and set of lungs, you're using oxygen far more fully, and your body is recovering much faster than anticipated. We also think this would work for your nutrient deficiency as well, as it seems your swan has a full gastrointestinal tract. The only difference I see is that, with it attached to you by the umbilical, nutrients it consumes are shared with you, and your regular liver and kidneys do the job of treating all the blood in both your systems. That could mean no more drinking indefinitely, of course. But more than that, it seems you have a metabolic rate far more efficient than any I've seen. You seem to eat less than is usual, yet your nutrient levels are on the rise. It seems with two systems to extract nutrients from the blood and make use of them, your body is operating at a whole new level."

"Forgive me if I withhold my enthusiasm," Stacy said sarcastically.

It had been a little over two years since Stacy had 'given birth', and she had since come to terms with it. The media craze had hung around for weeks, some for a few months, and she still got the occasional reporter following her around, and people snapping pictures wherever she went. She was rather hard to miss, bearing such a prominent sign of who she was and what had happened. Everywhere she went the swan's head protruded from her crotch, like a flag or banner heralding her presence.

The doctors said they were unable to remove the animal, as the major blood vessels attaching it to her were too big and would likely make her bleed out with any attempt to sever them. While still in the hospital, Stacy had found she could still walk easily enough, but that whenever she did the neck would tickle her inner walls, sending constant shivers of pleasure through her. While on her feet, the swan would angle its neck upwards, so it stayed rather vertical with the head roughly level with her belly button. She had been forced to buy men's pants and underwear, letting the head slip through the front holes so it wasn't crammed down her pants all day, making it that much more visible, like a large, ivory colored penis with a beak, but providing enough comfort for both of them. The swan, for her part, caught on rather quick and would deftly insert her head through the clothes when they got dressed in the morning.

Stacy and Cygna, the name she eventually gave to the bird, soon settled into a routine. The animal caught on quick, learning not only how to cooperate in dressing, but other useful traits like when to remain still and quiet, especially in class, and to Stacy's surprise, even how to pick up objects with her beak and hand them over, like pencils or small books. She was even more surprised, albeit very happy with the results, when a man had begun following her, badgering her for pictures of the 'freak', almost going so far as to accost her physically. But as Stacy confronted him, and he succeeded in seriously agitating her, Cygna had taken a few cheap shots with bites to his hands and a hard peck to his junk. With a loud hiss he had run off, and Stacy had yet to see him since. She had petted and praised her swan adamantly the night after it happened, and admitted she actually began to feel a more complete emotional attachment.

Over the months that followed, Stacy discovered other positive effects resulting from her odd circumstances. What the doctor had said about increased and more efficient metabolism held true, and her exercises were soon not enough for her. She found that, with the ability to process more oxygen, she could run faster and longer, impressive considering her gravid appearance, and lift more weight than before. Soon, with diligent work outs, she looked more toned than at any time before, aside from the ever present, pregnant stomach she would seemingly possess for the rest of her life. But even that bothered her less and less, as she had grown accustomed to the contented weight, the feeling of her hands massaging the swollen tummy, and the constant presence of what was, in essence, still her child. By the time she had grown accustomed to the stares and occasional media, she could scarcely imagine being without the soft, elegant, lovely creature that was now very much a part of her.

It had been a hard couple of years, no mistake, and Stacy had to learn to grow accustomed to many new things. After a time, though, she had come to grips with it, going on to finish college and begin her job as an historian. She liked the quiet life, especially now that it provided her an escape from prying eyes and cameras. She worked in her office, the research library and from home, and still had her friends who, despite being weirded out to exponential degrees at first, had gradually come to accept and help her whenever they could.

Stacy was busy one day sorting various files when a message was delivered. It was from a Dr. Branson with the university medical institute. It apologized to Stacy profusely for the inconvenience and for asking her for a favor, but the doctor had studied her case and was writing a paper about it. She wanted Stacy to help lend first-hand accounts, release some of the medical records from the initial examinations, and consent to an interview and evaluation by Dr. Branson as well. Stacy at first was going to just turn it down, but the offer near then end of the letter for $50,000 caught her attention. Stacy figured if an interview and a basic check-up netted her almost a year's salary, then it couldn't hurt considering all the previous ones she endured.

Stacy showed up to the medical clinic bright and early, ignoring the glances and stares as she was lead to the doctor's office. Being let in, she saw a woman perhaps in her mid-thirties sitting behind a desk who introduced herself as Dr. Kayla Branson and beckoned her to sit. She did so and shook the other woman's hand, all the while the doctor did not rise. The doctor took a few moments looking over the desk at the other woman's body shape and especially her crotch and the head staring back. Stacy noticed, though, that Dr. Branson's stare was not shock or disgust or sick curiosity, but admiration and wonder.

"Oh, forgive me for staring," she said.

"That's alright," Stacy replied, not put off by the doctor's reaction.

"Thank you so much for coming. I have a lot of questions for you, and I hope we can shed some light on your case and why such things happened. It's remarkable, I must say."

"That's not how a lot of people describe it," Stacy said, gently stroking the Cygna's soft, feathered head.

"Don't worry about them," the doctor continued. "And I hope you can be fully at ease here while we conduct our business."

"I hope so as well," Stacy said. "But I am a bit curious as to why you seem to take such an interest in me and Cygna here."

"Oh, you named her?" less of a question than a statement of happy approval.

"Yes I did, last year. Something I would think didn't end up in the reports the hospital filed."

"Oh not at all. They don't care too much about follow-up details like that," Dr. Branson continued cheerfully.

"But, as I said, I am wondering why you decided to pick this back up. I mean, two years later, and the hospital doctors already publishing several dozen reports. I mean, do you think you can figure out the fluke, or whatever, that caused all this?"

"Perhaps," said the doctor with a grin on her face. "There's been, well, a recent development."

Stacy only raised her eyebrows slightly.

"What would you say," Branson began, "if I told you someone had deliberately tried to repeat the conditions of what happened to you, and succeeded?"

Stacy's eyes went wide in what could be described as stunned disbelief.

"I would say," Stacy said, "it would be quite something else. But why? And who? Are you including them in this study?"

The doctor grinned mischievously, pushed back her chair and stood up. Kayla watched, her eyes going so wide that they might almost fall out of her head as she saw what was before her. The doctor stood there in the lab white coat and blouse, but was completely naked below the waist, showing off her extremely pregnant appearance. But what shocked Stacy the most was what was emerging from the woman's crotch. Stacy, and even, it seemed, Cygna, looked on in surprise at the black and brown feathered head and long, tapering neck of a Canada goose emerging from her vaginal lips.

"I most certainly am," The doctor replied proudly. "So, are you interested?"
