Classroom Zoo-- Part 2
After contemplating on this story a bit, I expanded this chapter and fixed it up a bit.
No one dared move or speak, in fear that they would be the next one to be zapped. Except for Paul, who looked around at the animal students and figured, what the hey. He had always fantasized about being turned into an animal and he wasn't crazy about the apparent two-leggedness of his animal classmates but he would take what he could get.
"Um," he raised his hand, "can I be next?"
Darwin gave Paul a surprised look, but then chuckled and shot a beam his way. Paul smiled wide as his body was engulfed in a golden light and his form shifted to that of a blue heron. A needle-like beak shot out of his round head. His hands were covered in fluffy blue feathers. Skinny bird legs came out of his shorts and rested on the floor with long bird feet- three toes ahead, one toe behind.
Paul looked at his hands and legs then laughed.
A girl nearby raised her hand, "How about me?"
In no time at all the girl was zapped into a brown-scaled raptor. A smooth bald head went down into a short snout with many teeth. A fair neck went down into a bright purple T-shirt. Its V-cut top gave a clear view at her round breasts. She could have sworn she was wearing something more conservative, but was too excited to care. Out the back of her jeans was a girthy tail. Her pants cut off at her cavs and her legs went down into big digitigrade feet with a claw on each toe.
The girl looked behind at her tail and grinned, "Did you turn me into a lizard or something?"
Darwin nodded, "Better than a lizard- a dinosaur! It's that retro craze, after all."
The floor continued to eat itself. In many places, the dirt had swallowed the tiles and concrete. Patches of grass had erupted do. Near the walls, weeds and vines were growing out of the floor. These wall-scaling plants were just getting started on climbing towards the roof. All that, and a few student could have sworn that they saw a rat- a normal rat- scurrying along the walls.
The purple mist pumping out of the professor's workcase slowed down. The roof was shrouded in the stuff, dimming the lights and making it hard to see the roof.
Another girl towards the front raised her hand, "Um... professor Darla?"
Darwin chuckled, "You want to be next?"
The girl nodded.
One more zap and the class was down a human and up a kangaroo. Tall ears, a long snout, golden fur, the works. Strangely, it seemed her breasts has shot up a few sizes. The were almost bulging out of her grey longsleeve. A girthy tail came out the back of her pants. Underneath the desk, she rested long clawed feet upon a dirt floor.
She looked over herself with a lukewarm reception and rubbed her feet together wondering where her shoes went.
Darwin paid it no mind and looked over the class. Just about every students, human or no, had terrified eyes locked on her. Some students were crying a bit or looking like they were just about to.
A boy near the front raised his hand, "Hey, can I be a lion?"
Darwin gave a thoughtful look then said, "Sure."
In a zap of light, the boy was turned into a lion. His head was shrouded in a wild brown mane with golden fur making the rest of his body. He had a wide noise at the end of a snout full of teeth. His glasses had reshaped to fit his new face. It looked like he had gotten taller and he definitely had some weight to him. His arms and shoulders were larger and he had something of a belly on the front of his t-shirt. His shorts had grown a few sizes to compensate for his chubby butt. There was a hole around back for his lion's tail. While fat, his legs were also strong and went down into big lion's plantigrade feet.
The boy looked at his hands and under his desk, "Oh my god!"
The kangaroo girl looked at the lion boy and raised her hand, "Uh, can I be a fox?"
Darwin gave the kangaroo girl a funny look and shot a beam at her, thus turning the kangaroo girl into a frog girl. No fur or hair on her body. She was complete bald like a real frog. While she was slim before, her frog form was a little chunky and flabby. The tail hole on the back of her pants closed up since she no longer had one.
"Wha-a-a-a-at!?" she said, "I said fox, not_frog!_"
"Once you have been morphed," said Darwin sternly, "it's been set in stone."
The frog girl groaned and sunk back into her seat. Her new froggy feet were just as long as the kangaroo ones she had. She felt so vulnerable touching her bare underfoot on the warm soil. Ignoring her lack of shoes, she watched the lion boy as he examined his tail excitedly. The smile on his face just got bigger and bigger.
A boy across the room raised his hand, "Can I be a fox?"
Darwin shot a beam at him, "I'm not taking any more requests."
In an instant, the boy was turned into a pig. A bit of drool hung from his new porcine snout. He had put on some weight but underneath his baggy sweater it was hard to see. He could feel the flab hanging off the top of his jeans. His butt had expanded a deal too, stretching out his pants. His hooves were digitigrade. He knew right away what he had been turned into. He said nothing.
At the front row at the corner closest to the door, Anya slowly raised her hand. She spoke, "Please... can I please stay a human? I don't want to be an animal!"
Darwin thought for a second, then shot a beam at Anya. Anya looked at her hands, her tail, and felt her face. Not a human, but close.
Anya then realized what she had been turned into, "A monkey!? You turned me into a monkey!?"
"It's as close to a human I'd feel comfortable with," said Darwin.
"I'd rather be a dog or something!" said Anya.
Darwin scowled, "Keep complaining and I'll turn you into a primordial soup!"
Anya flinched, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" - she paused - "But what's primordial soup?"
Darwin groaned, "Never mind..."
Some students noticed butterflies fluttering around the walls. Macey, a student seated on the right side of the room, looked down at the floor to see two chipmunks digging away at the dirt. She flinched a bit- one would forgive her for being unusually jumpy around innocent-looking creatures- but kept herself from yelping, lest she would be the professor's next victim.
The purple mist clouding the classroom above began to disperse. The roof had noticeably heightened and now looked to be about fifteen feet to twenty feet above the floor. The trees growing out of the walls tangled into each other up there. Spotlights with cords wrapped around tree branches replaced the traditional lighting fixtures the classroom had before.
There was a knock on the door. Darwin looked over, chuckled, and walked over. Opening it up, in walked a ten feet-tall, bulky lion man wearing a blue security uniform, hunched over so that he'd fit under the doorframe. Marching in front of him with a terrified expression was Randy, the rabbit boy who had escaped the classroom not a few minutes earlier.
"Welcome back, Mr. Rabbit!" greeted Darwin. She then looked down at Randy's jeans, which were soaked starting from the crotch and going down each pant leg. Darwin chuckled, "And was that your doing?"
Rabbits were never meant to blush, but Randy blushed indeed!
The lion man chuckled, "Yeah. He was almost at the door before I grabbed his shoulder. When he turned to face me his eyes went wide and he peed his pants. When I tried asking him his name he just stuttered and teared up a bit."
Darwin chuckled, "Wonderful! That'll teach him a good lesson. Thank you!"
The lion turned around and lowered himself through the door. Randy tried to avoid eye contact with the dozen students staring at him and his wet jeans. Darwin shook her head, "Alright then, rabbit, return to your seat."
After hesitating for a few seconds, Randy finally got the willpower to take a step forward. Then another. He slowly made his way back to his seat. It must have been a nightmare, he thought. Getting turned into a rabbit, faced with crushing humiliation, and now walking barefoot on a floor that looks like it's been run down a hundred years' worth.
The classroom door shut and the lion man was gone. Darwin clapped her hands together, "Okay, let's carry on."
Audrey, a taller girl sitting in the center of the classroom, was looking around curiously before she heard a few light taps on her desk. When she looked down she saw an iguana on her desk, standing on two feet and looking up at her. While she would usually jump out of her seat and maybe scream, Audrey was eerily calm. She just stared at the thing with glazed eyes like she was in a hypnotic trance, and the thing stared back.
"How is my darling?" the iguana spoke in a throaty voice.
"Your darling is well, master," said Audrey monotonously.
"The people of this room will soon shed their human form," the iguana walked over and gently stroked her hand, "Will you do the same and take my image in your name?"
"I will, master," said Audrey.
And just like that her form shifted to that of an iguana. Her hair receded into her head's scaly flesh. Her mouth stretched out with many teeth taking shape. Although rather un-reptilian, her bosom grew a few sizes underneath her plaid shirt. As the iguana stroked her hand, it grew scales and the nails turned into pointed claws. A big girthy tail came out the back of her jeans and crept down her chair. Her shoes disappeared and reveal big, clawed lizard feet.
The iguana smiled, "Thank you, darling. You look lovely! How are you feeling?"
The nearby students were in shock at Audrey's sudden transformation. Not only was the teacher morphing students, but also the little critters new to the classroom. From the perspective of the students sitting nearby, the iguana and Audrey exchanged animal-like chitters before Audrey "burst" into her new reptilian form. Where Audrey learned to speak iguana, none of them knew.
"I am sexually aroused, master," said Audrey, "I wish to mate with you."
The iguana chuckled and ran up her arm. He perched himself on her shoulder and said, "That's wonderful, darling. Let's go back to my room, though. I wouldn't want to disrupt this class with our activities."
The classroom's back wall had been eaten by the jungle vegetation. If a student had looked behind their seat they'd see that the back wall had vanished and a tunnel of thick jungle forest continued past the end of the classroom. A green light glowed down into trees but one could only see a few dozen feet before the jungle faded into a dark mysterious mess.
Audrey stood up and turned to the jungle behind the classroom. Professor Darwin didn't seem to care that one of her students was walking off into the foresty abyss. Both the iguana and Audrey continued their chittering conversation as they disappeared into the darkness of the trees.
Rob was seated beside Audrey. He watched her get up and walk out of the classroom. After Audrey vanished he leaned over to the girl sitting beside him and said, "It looks like everyone is going to get turned into an animal!"
"Yeah," said Edelle between heavy breaths, "I don't know if I can take it. This is too much!"
Rob looked at Edelle's trembling arms and chortled, "Look at you! You're shivering!"
"I think I'm going to pee my pants!" said Edelle.
Rob giggled, "If you do that then everyone will laugh at you."
Just as that last word left his lips, a bolt of energy fired at Rob. In less than an instant, Rob was transformed into a badger and a chubby one at that. It was the same deal as the other transformed students. Clothes re-tailored for his new form. Shoes vanished.
Another bolt shot right into Edelle and turned her into an elephant. The floor suddenly dropped a foot or two as her new form gave her more height than she was used to. The size difference was staggering. Not only was she taller but she had put on a lot of weight. Elephants were big creatures and the anthropomorphic kind were no exception. She had lots of mass hugging around her torso and legs. Her butt was hanging off the sides of the chair.
"No talking during class!" said Professor Darwin.
Rob's eyes were wide with terror. He couldn't even let out a whimper. His whole body trembled as he turned back towards the front of the classroom.
Edelle had to breath out of her mouth so her trunk wouldn't make any noise. The room was nearly spinning and she felt like she was going to pass out at any second.
'Oh my god, this is happening,' she thought,'She's turned me into an elephant!'
In the midst of her panic, she suddenly heard a sprinkling sound. She looked over at Rob to see droplets falling off of his chair seat while Rob stared out into space with a terrified gaze.
Edelle snerked, "Someone had an accident!"
Other students chuckled and pointed at the small puddle underneath Rob's seat. By the look of his eyes, he was too far out to notice.
