Team Canine Episode 1: Leader Greyfus Materializes
#2 of Team Canine
Greyfus has materialized into the Team Canine headquarters. Silver greets him, but it takes a bit for Greyfus to warm up to being the leader of this new team. Five canines still remain to be materialized. What will happen? Read on!
Greyfus opened his eyes. All he could see was darkness. The muscular armored gray wolf extended his arm, only to have it be stopped by a wall that he could not see.
"What...where am I?!" He thought as he pounded his fists against the unseeable wall, "Where are Beakwood, Garriell, and...Tedium?! And Touya!!"
"Don't be afraid, Greyfus," said a voice that sounded cool, calm, and collected.
"What is going on?! What has happened to me?! And how do you know who I am?!" Shouted Greyfus.
"Relax," said the voice, "You are not dead."
"Then who, may I ask, are you?!" Shouted Greyfus, "Explain yourself!"
"The name is Silver. You and six other canines have been selected to defend the anthro world, 'cause it's in serious trouble. But only, you, Greyfus, were selected to become the leader of this team."
With these words, Greyfus calmed down.
"You need a leader to prevent serious trouble?" Asked Greyfus, "Well, I am the leader of my team. I would be more than happy to help."
"Cool," said Silver, "come on out."
With those words, Greyfus saw light slowly pierce the darkness in front of him, as if a door had opened. There was a blinding flash of light, and Greyfus slowly pieced together that standing in front of him was an anthropomorphic coyote with a turquoise mohawk that also doubled as a mullet. His arms and legs were a bit strange because his fur was a silvery gray from his paws to halfway up his limbs. The rest of his body was covered with brown fur and tan markings on his belly, tail, ears, and muzzle.
Then once the bright light had vanished, Greyfus saw that he was in a huge circular room that was blue in color. The ceiling seemed to be nonexistant and the room itself had five hexagonal doors. Then Greyfus looked behind him to see that he had come out of one of the hexagonal doors!
"These are...?" Greyfus began.
"Trans-media dimensional transporters," replied the coyote, "They can teleport anyone or anything from any media universe."
Greyfus turned around and saw that the hexagonal door that he had come out of had an LED screen that read "WILD KNIGHTS GULKEEVA" in glowing red letters. Then he turned back to see the other screens above the doors. "SMILE PRECURE" was in orange, "STAR FOX" was in yellow, "LOONATICS UNLEASHED" was in green, "ROAD ROVERS" was in blue, and "POKEMON BLACK & WHITE" was in purple.
"What do all of these mean?" Asked Greyfus in awe.
"Those are the worlds that the other team members come from," replied Silver.
"Are they already here?" asked Greyfus.
"No, you are the first one here," replied the coyote, "welcome to your new headquarters."
"This is better than constantly being tracked and having nowhere to go," said Greyfus, "But I really miss my teammates."
"I know that this is going to be tough," replied Silver, "but I...no...my entire world needs your help. We are counting on your superior leadership skills and battle tactics. I know you can help us."
Greyfus smiled. "No matter who you are," he said, "I am honored that you know of my skill. As long as you promise that I one day may return home, I will serve as the leader of your team."
"Awesome!" Beamed the coyote, "Now you can do whatever you want until-"
Suddenly, there was a beeping noise. Silver and Greyfus's ears perked up.
"Another team member is here!" Exclaimed Silver, "But I can't tell which door it's coming from!"
A gruff voice boomed throughout the large room: "What the HECK?!"
"Oh," said Silver, "I know EXACTLY who it is."
