Chapter 3
Electron jumped from roof to roof floating effortlessly around Angel City. His parents were in Europe as their non-hero personalities helping to research an alternate to fusion energy in the countries too poor to afford the state of the art fusion reactors that were being produced. In their place Electron had found himself taking more and more missions that his parents would usually take. All that extra hero business had distracted him from his personal mission.
It had been nearly two weeks since Kyle had disappeared. At first it had just been strange that he wasn't in school, but then, when Electron had called Kyle's house to talk to his parents they had told him what was going on. Apparently one day after school Kyle had just wondered off, leaving the house unlocked and everything. Electron couldn't help but think that somehow the Pack had something to do with this. First the two thugs in the street and now Kyle goes missing. It was too suspicious not to try and draw some connection between the two.
On the plus side, all the extra hero work was really getting Electron into shape. He was feeling stronger than ever, but his trainer, the Neon Flash, still said he was in no way strong enough to take on the pack. Sure, they had some pretty weak punks working for them. They called those guys thralls because they followed the orders of the wolves. The second ups were called Fangs and then you had the wolves. Nobody knew exactly how many wolves there were, but all in all the ones the Brotherhood did know about were bad news. The two top wolves had been Timber Wolf and Black Wolf. Timber Wolf was the general of sorts while Black wolf was Victor's right hand man. In the court battle Black Wolf had sold out his boss and his fellow wolf brother for his own freedom. As a result he had been allowed to go on the promise that he cease all functions as the Black Wolf. Even the Brotherhood didn't know who he was in real life or the name he lived under. It made finding him extremely difficult.
Electron found himself floating over the park where he and Kyle had met twice before. He landed at that silent table that had witnessed their confession of attraction to each other and sighed. Electron thought being a hero would be fun when he had agreed to take up the mantle of Electron, son of Proton and Neutron. He had known about his powers for a year before he knew what they meant. It started with controlling the electricity in the house and then evolved into super speed and strength. It wasn't till later that he learned he could fly.
Yet, all those powers couldn't find his friend when Kyle needed him the most. Electron resolved to do a better job today. At least he would as soon as he knew where he should start looking. As the hero sat there alone in his contemplation a loud crash came from up ahead in the park. Electron jumped into the air and towards the source of the crash, but he arrived just in time to see a large black shape retreating into the woods he had just flown over. Electron would have pursued right away, but he was distracted by the large sign announcing the construction of the mall. A huge chunk had been taken out of the sign and claw marks and gashes covered it's surface. The crash had been from a large metal trash can that had been thrown into the sign imbedding itself right where Gadstone should have been written. Ironic huh?
Electron shook his head and looked to where the shape had disappeared. Normally he would have called for backup, but this looked like something connected to the pack, and if he could catch whoever did it he could ask them about Kyle. After a quick glance across the road at Kyle's house Electron was determined he could do this by himself.
Super speed was draining, but Electron would have to chance it if he wanted to catch up to the perpetrator. On top of that Electron could illuminate the area around him by creating a faint but consistent ball of lightning in his hand. It was more than enough to illuminate the dark forest, but the red light didn't do much to disperse the shadows. Electron stopped about half way through the park in a particularly dense part of the woods. "I know you're out there, show yourself!"
"Well well, if it isn't the new hero on the block?" A deep grating voice said from the shadows. "I don't think we've had the honor of meeting each other," the voice said as its owner stepped out of the shadows.
Electron looked up at the nine foot tall monster peering down at him. Neon was right, he wasn't ready to fight the Pack. "Listen I don't want to fight," Electron said and backed up a few steps.
"Good, I hate when heroes put their noses into my business." The wolf monster said and dropped to all fours so it could look Electron in the eye. "You can call me Black Wolf, what might your name be little hero?"
"Electron."
"Sounds familiar," The wolf said and sniffed at Electron and then smiled. "Oh yes, you're Proton's kid, I've heard a lot about you."
Electron shook his head, this monster was really good at getting under his skin. "Listen, I know we're not supposed to be talking to each other, but I have something I have to ask you."
The wolf monster paused and seemed to smile, but Electron couldn't tell for sure. "What do you want to know?"
"A young boy went missing lately, his name is Kyle Sparks, he lived right next door to the sign you just vandalized. I've suspected he was taken by the Pack this whole time, but I haven't been able to link your group to the kidnapping, and nobody else has taken credit for his disappearance." Electron said and looked squarely at the wolf monster. "I must know, did you kidnap Kyle Sparks?"
The wolf laughed a surprisingly warm laugh and turned away from Electron for a moment. "I don't know anybody named Kyle Sparks, and I haven't kidnapped anybody lately. I like to let my victims come to me." The wolf said and started to walk on all fours towards Electron. "Now, about that fighting you were talking about..."
Electron held his hand up in self defense, but to his surprise a blast of blue electricity shot between him and the wolf. "Leave him alone, he's not our enemy... yet." Another grating wolf voice said from where it had been hiding. "We didn't come here to kill heroes today."
The other wolf turned to its hidden compatriot and laughed. "This is your hunt anyways," the huge black beast said, and then it ran away into the forest.
Electron was about to pursue, but the voice called out a second time. "The pack didn't kidnap that kid, if that's what you're after." the voice said from the shadows.
"Wh... Who are you?" Electron asked.
"You can call me Blue Wolf, and that was my father, Black Wolf." The voice replied, "Don't follow us Electron, and don't try to stop us or I can't guarantee you won't get hurt."
"Why do you care?" Electron asked in anger.
"If I didn't I wouldn't have stopped him/" Blue Wolf growled and then, as mysteriously as he had come, he was gone.
Electron was more confused now than he was before. He stood in the darkness for a while longer before leaping through the thick green canopy and into the broad daylight. He might have been in the sunshine again, but in a way he was still lost in the darkness of the woods. He wanted more answers, but he only had more questions, and the two wolves were gone.
...
That night Electron was at home when his watch went off and Neon Flash's head popped into the holographic viewer. "Hey Electron, remember your report from earlier today about the pack supposedly vandalizing that sign at the park?" Neon said through the watch.
"What's up?" Electron asked in confusion. It was ironic that he had been looking over his own report at that moment
"Well, somebody just broke into the Gadstone and Rib office down town and there was another attack in the industrial district against their warehouse. Apparently whoever attacked the warehouse had super powers, because witnesses report seeing large flashes of lightning striking the building." Electron thought back to the flash of energy he had seen in the park. Blue lightning...
"I'm heading to the warehouse"
"Wait! You can't go in alone man, that's suicide! If this is the pack we're talking about you'd be outnumbered and out gunned!"
"I'm still going," Electron said and punched his watch. The special temporal suit modifier buzzed as it changed his clothes into his normal super suit. Electron was ready in a moment, and he didn't waste any time as he opened his window and leapt out into the cool night air. He headed straight for the soft glow of a burning warehouse in the distance.
It only took about ten minutes for Electron to get there, and when he did the structure was already fully involved. Fire crews were being thwarted by two hulking monsters on the main road. They were obviously wolves, but neither of the ones he had seen the night before. Electron threw a massive bolt of energy at the closer of the two wolves but the creature was able to dodge before it got hit. "Lookey here, Blue Wolf said you'd probably show up," the goon said. He wasn't a thrall due to his full wolf form, so he had to be a fang. That meant he didn't have much in the way of super powers.
Electron landed and held his sparking hand up. "Let me pass, I have business with this Blue Wolf of yours."
"He said you'd say that, but he also said not to let you pass under any circumstances. I'm sorry chief, but you aren't getting by me." The fang said and growled as he bore his teeth at Electron. In simulation training Electron had been taught not to fear things just because they were bigger than him, but it was hard to stare a seven foot wolf monster in the face and tell it you aren't afraid. Regardless, Electron wasn't letting some goon get in his way.
"This is your last chance, stand aside!"
"Let's dance punk."
The wolf went first diving at Electron and forcing him to use his super speed, but somehow the Wolf was just a tad faster and able to reach out and grab Electron as he barely missed the hero's face with his sharp black claws. Electron felt himself get yanked backwards by the clawed hand that grabbed his shoulder, but flight was a tricky power and it gave Electron the advantage. He surged his powers into his flight ability, temporarily increasing it to where he could stop mid air and grab the air-born wolf man. Electron used even more of his reserves to increase his strength for a moment. As a result he was able to swing the wolf around a few times and throw him into a heap of trash making a satisfying crash as his enemy landed in the filth.
"Damn you hero you got my fur dirty, now you're gunna pay!" The wolf shouted and roared as it lunged at Electron. This time the beast went all out, catching the hero unaware and succeeding in grabbing him and slamming him into the cold concrete. Electron felt the meaty fists of the monster pounding into his face, but he was too busy focusing his energy into hardening his face bones to prevent them from being crushed under the monster's attack to do anything.
Electron could feel his energy draining when a mournful howl went up over the burning wreckage of the warehouse and the wolf got off him. It gave him one last punch to the nose causing blood to gush out of Electron's face despite the mithril helmet that protected his head. "Wait," Electron said and reached out towards the wolf as it got up and started to walk away. "I must... find him!" Electron said before he collapsed.
The wolf monster just shook it's head and walked into the night.
...
Kyle staggered towards his house and through the unlocked door. His mother was the first to see him on the couch and she shouted at his father as he fell to the floor of the living room. "I'm... Back" he said just before fainting.
Seven hours later Kyle found himself on the couch. He was still pretty weak from the night before, but he was able to sit up. "Oh my precious little child," his mom said and stroked his filthy hair and kissed him regardless of the dirt on his face. "Where on earth have you been my baby?"
Kyle endured his mother's smothering touch for a while before shooing her away. "Honestly mom I can't remember for the life of me," he lied and sat up. "But I would really like to take a shower."
Thirty minutes later Kyle was dressed in his own clothes in his own bedroom sighing as he picked up a manila envelope he had forgotten to open more than two weeks ago. Kyle frowned when he saw what was written on it. "To Kyle Sparks from Electron," he read and then opened the manila envelope. A side of him Kyle thought had died sprang back to life as the newest issue of The Mithril Brotherhood comic and the secret character background of Electron slid out of the envelope along with a letter from Electron himself.
"Dear Kyle,
It took me a while to find this, but I knew how much it meant to you so I made sure to get it to you as fast as possible. I'm so sorry that I was unable to save the ones you lost on the day we met, but I was glad that I got to meet you that day regardless. Thanks for keeping my secret and if there's ever anything you need just call the Mithril Brotherhood and ask for me. There will always be a special place in my heart for you.
Sincerely, Electron"
It seemed so strange to Kyle, holding this letter after the week he had been through. It was still so fresh in his head. After he had been turned there was the sickness, and then his powers started waking up. It wasn't anything special, just general lightning powers and the usual powers pack members had. Kyle healed super fast and was ridiculously strong. He was faster than any normal human and had a nose that could sniff out a cheeto in a square mile of potato chips, but beyond that he still felt like a normal human. Kyle couldn't change all the way yet. Black Wolf said it took a while to get that power. Till then he had to make do with what he had.
Destroying Gadstone hadn't taken long. In the end Blue Wolf had won and Gadstone had been nothing but a stepping stone. The poor sop had shit himself just before... "Kyle?" A gentle voice said and knocked on the door, "Kyle can I come in?"
Ben didn't wait for a reply, he just let himself in, but Kyle was glad to see his handsome face. "Oh, hey Ben! What's up?"
Ben looked shocked, "You disappear for two weeks and ask me what's up? Kyle, everyone was so worried about you... I was worried about you!" Ben said and sat down on the bed in front of Kyle, he looked strangely concerned.
"Sorry," Kyle said and looked down in shame. "I don't remember what happened," Kyle said and frowned. In a way it was true. Blue Wolf knew the truth, but Kyle wasn't his evil alter ego at the moment.
"You're parents told me everything," Ben said and reached out to place a hand on Kyle's hand. "Listen Kyle, don't ever do that again... I thought I was going to go crazy without you... you're... you're special to me." Ben said and looked away from his best friend.
"Do you really feel that way about me?" Kyle asked and looked at his friend in a new light.
"Of course Kyle," Ben said and smiled, "I really do."
Kyle reached out and sniffed as emotions seemed to flood into him. All his regrets about... about killing people as Blue Wolf, and the realization that he actually liked it. When he had discovered his power and strength how he had taken a thrall and fucked him right there. For a moment if felt like Blue Wolf really was someone else, and as Kyle wrapped his arms around Ben, and his best friend wrapped his arms around him, Kyle felt like a human again. If only for a moment.
Ben hugged Kyle protectively and thought to himself about how his innocent little Kyle was back from whatever evil had dragged him away. He could never have known what lurked inside his best friend at that moment.
Their embrace ended when Kyle pulled away from Ben, "I like you too Ben, and not just as a friend either," Kyle admitted.
"I understand Kyle, but we should talk about that later. For now, let's go downstairs and see your folks. They're worried about you."
Kyle found himself being led downstairs by Ben, and from there the night progressed onwards. Kyle's mom had invited some of her friends over, and his father had some work buddies come over for dinner. Everyone ate well, and Kyle had to admit he was having fun. Ben stayed at his side the entire time. He even offered to stay the night if Kyle wanted him too. It was a magical night, and in a way Kyle was sad to see it end. His parents had to go to work the next day. Kyle had school too. He had already been told he would have an excused absence, and be allowed to make up his tests and other such things so Kyle wasn't worried much about school.
After his parents were in bed Kyle found himself sitting next to Ben in the living room. It was getting Late and that meant that Kyle would have to be careful. As a rule the pack gathered at ten sharp, so most members changed at nine. Tonight wasn't a Pack night, but habits were hard to break. "Let's watch a movie!" Kyle announced and hopped up. He caught a glance of the clock above the mantle 8:46, he still had some time. "American Werewolf in London," Kyle said as he grabbed the first movie on the top of the stack. "How ironic" he mumbled.
"What was that?" Ben asked.
"Nothing," Kyle said and turned as he popped the DVD into the player and then smiled. After dimming the lights Kyle sat down next to Ben. The movie intro played and then the movie proper. Sometime in the beginning Kyle felt Ben put his arm around him. Not long after Kyle felt the unique pricking sensation of fur starting to push out of the skin on his neck and back. He didn't know why it always started there, but regardless it was starting.
By about the time the first transformation scene was happening Kyle was really struggling against his inner beast. Blue Wolf was just under the skin yearning to come out and play. Plus Ben was right there and Kyle could SMELL his attraction. Wait... Ben was attracted to Kyle? Well Kyle guessed it kind of made sense after all, but the other male could have picked a better time to get turned on.
Maybe it was the dark, or maybe because Kyle was oozing pheromones, but Ben was getting harder by the minute. He eventually found himself unconsciously rubbing his groin against Kyle who was progressively getting closer to being laid upon. Kyle was having trouble resisting his own instincts and he knew he might not be able to hold himself back. "Oh Fuck," Ben moaned as his hand unconsciously rubbed his raging erection and he realized how horny he was.
Kyle smiled to himself as he felt the wolf inside him growing stronger. It wasn't used to being denied what it wanted by the weaker human side of Kyle Sparks, but fucking Ben might be fun even if Kyle didn't want to let go of his waning control. Ben in turn was succumbing to the powerful pheromones Kyle's body was oozing into the air. Kyle felt Ben lean over and their lips met. The innocent part of Kyle surged forward pushing Blue Wolf down and down. As they kissed it was Kyle that kissed Ben, not the wolf inside him.
Kyle felt Ben peeling his clothes off tenderly and gently as if he was precious and delicate. Unlike all the raw bestial sex Kyle had in his brief time in the pack Ben was gentle and tender. Kyle whispered sweetly "I love you" as he felt Ben caress his frail naked form. Kyle was glad it was dark and Ben couldn't see him clearly or he would have surely seen the super thick black fur covering most of Kyle's balls and the base of his cock. It was only the start of a much bigger development, but for now it was all he had to give away his wolf heritage.
There was only one moment while Kyle submitted to Ben that the wolf inside him came out. Kyle felt Ben on top of him and growled angrily when the other boy pushed his cock against his ass hole. "Am I going to fast?" Ben asked softly from above him.
"No, not at all... it's just..." Still sore from the last time papa wolf fucked me like a wild animal... Kyle didn't say it though. Instead he moaned softly as Ben pushed his pre slicked head into Kyle's ass. From there things progressed softly and steadily. Kyle savored the warmth of his lover's embrace and the heat of their coupling. The wolf inside him was bored.
Ben worked steadily in and out, testing himself, seeming to learn as he went. Kyle realized then that this must have been his first time having sex with another guy. Probably his first time period. Something in Kyle felt honored to be Ben's first, but another darker part felt like he had betrayed Ben for having fucked and been fucked more times than he could count in the last two weeks. Sex was a regular and persistent part of the pack. More importantly sex between men was important. It was practically essential to how the wolves kept their fangs and thralls in line.
Even though Kyle had been given Wolf status in The Pack he was still hardly the most powerful of the Wolves around. Black Wolf took whatever he wanted and for more than one reason he had a very strong claim to Kyle's ass. Kyle had lain with another two dozen wolves since the day Black Wolf had taken him the first time, but only Black Wolf took him like a little bitch. Ben was speeding up, and Kyle was amazed at his stamina. More than once he felt Ben's body tiring, but somehow the young man would find a second wind and surge forward gathering the strength to prolong their incredible sex.
After about thirty short minutes things were really heating up, and considering this was his first time Ben was riding Kyle like a pro. Kyle in turn moaned to the rhythm of Ben's thrusts. Their passion surged forward again and again until at last Ben pushed hard into Kyle, letting loose his seed. Kyle gasped as he too exploded into the space between himself and the couch. His tainted seed filled the air with a musky odor that didn't belong in this place.
In the throes of their passion the two young men struggled to remain silent, but their moans were hardly as loud as the screams of the movie on the TV. After a while of laying together Ben pulled out of Kyle and they both got up. "I should probably head home, it's getting late," Ben said and looked tenderly at his first lover.
Kyle glanced at the clock. Only 9:24, if Kyle hurried he might still make it over to Black Wolf's den before everyone left to hunt. Kyle smiled at Ben and gave him a short kiss on the lips, briefly interrupting him as he put his clothes back on. "I'll see you again right?"
Ben nodded and smiled wrapping his arms around Kyle. "I'll see you in school tomorrow."
After a quick hug Ben finished dressing and was gone. Kyle looked at the mess he left on the couch and frowned. He could clean it up, but it would smell like sex for a week. He turned the cushions over in a last ditch attempt to hide the smell, but it still lingered over the couch like a phantom of wolf cum and sex. Kyle would have to avoid sitting there for a while.
After cleaning Kyle didn't bother dressing, choosing instead to sneak out his window in the nude. Blue Wolf was quickly taking over as black fur raced across Kyle's skin and his form shifted to that of a large bipedal wolf man. Kyle didn't have much time to enjoy his transformation so he just grunted as he forced himself to finish changing. In moments Blue Wolf stood in Kyle's back yard at nearly eye level with the window he had just crawled out of. He chuckled for a moment before vaulting off into the night.
Kyle arrived about five before ten much to the surprise of the two thralls on guard in the bushes of Black Wolf's house. "B... Blue Wolf!" one of the Thralls said in surprise as he landed between them, "the boss said you wouldn't be showing up for the next couple of days."
"And you thought you would take it easy while I was gone huh?" Blue said and growled at the Thrall. The guy whimpered in respect and looked away from the glowing blue eyes of the wolf looking at him.
"No sir, not at all, we just weren't expecting you," he whined.
Blue decided to go easy on the Thrall, he had been punished enough, and now that he was scared he might even be useful. "Who's here tonight?" Blue asked with less malice in his voice.
"Black Wolf and Timber Wolf sir... plus a few fangs."
"It's not a meeting is it?" Blue asked in confusion.
"Not officially sir, but there is some talk among the thralls that..." the thrall trailed off.
"That what?" Blue said with a low growl to get his point across.
"That they're planning on getting Victor Fang out of prison; I mean an attack on the vault," the Thrall said softly as if speaking of such a thing was taboo.
"It's about fucking time," Blue said and woofed, turning towards the darkened house. "What is your name Thrall?"
"Douglas Sir."
"How old are you Douglas?"
"Sixteen sir," Kyle was shocked, this guy was as old as he was. Not that you could tell. The Pack was a place where age and race didn't mean anything.
"You must go to school here in south side don't you?"
"Well... yes sir I do..."
Kyle smiled at the thrall and laughed to himself when the thrall jumped in fear. Smiling wasn't something most Wolves did to thralls. "I want you to watch and listen for me Doug, and when I ask, you tell me what you hear. Don't tell anybody else about this or I will kill you without even thinking about it. If you please me I might just make you a fang. You know what that means don't you?"
The thrall nodded and then added a "yes sir" for good measure.
"Good," Blue said and left the thrall to ponder what he had just been told. Blue Wolf made his way to the house and knocked the secret knock. There was a gruff reply from inside as a fang he didn't recognize opened the door and then blanched at the site of another Wolf. "Sorry sir," he said and stepped aside for Blue to squeeze through the door.
Blue made his way to the back and growled at the fang guarding the door to the meeting room. As a rule nobody was allowed into an active meeting, but there were only a few wolves in the area. Not only did a fang have to follow an order, but part of just being a member of the pack forced a fang to do as they were told by a higher ranking wolf. Kyle let himself into the room and smiled when he saw that his father wolf had stood in anger at the intrusion.
As soon as Black Wolf saw his cub he smiled. "Blue! Glad you could make it," he said as Blue relaxed and his fur melted away. Kyle knew it was absurd for a sixteen year old to be one of the most powerful wolves to ever join the pack, but it had come as a surprise to his father wolf too. Not a day after Kyle was turned he started to change into a fully fledged wolf, and then his super powers clicked on. At first they had been violent and hard to control, but with a teacher like Black Wolf you learned fast or you got fucked.
Black wolf was a super as well, but his power source was sex. The more he fucked the stronger he got. He used his sexual power to charge his massive werewolf body with super speed and super strength. Any wolf, thrall, or fang created by Black Wolf inherited a portion of his powers, and for that reason Kyle was feeling stronger than normal after his romantic encounter with Ben. His eyes practically glowed with blue power as he sat down beside his father and accepted the passionate kiss and deep growl from the heavily bearded man on the couch. There was a snort from the other side of the table as another man looked at the two and blanched. Timber wolf was much better kept than Black Wolf, but in terms of power was not as strong.
Timber wolf was one of only three men turned by Victor himself. The three original wolves used to be super heroes themselves, but nobody knew who exactly they were, or who they had been before becoming wolves. Timber Wolf was an empath of sorts. He could absorb energy by feeding off the emotions of others. For that reason he was often called Fear Wolf by the thralls and fangs that served him. He kept his troops in constant flux and by the word between pack members he was a pretty scary guy. Seeing him in his human form... Kyle would have never guessed.
The well groomed man smiled at Kyle. "It's been a long time since we had three wolves in one place."
"Since before Victor was captured you mean," Black Wolf said and frowned at Timber.
"I mean; since they killed Saber." Timber said and smiled evilly.
"I left that particular detail out on purpose Timber," Black Wolf said and frowned as he glanced at the cub in his arms.
"Then you left out the best part," Timber said and turned to Kyle. "There were three of us you know. Back when The Pack was whole and Victor was still around. Black here was the second in command, and then there was Saber, and then me. After Victor was exposed, and caught, we had to offer up one of our number as a sacrifice of sorts to spare our leader's life. Saber volunteered, and so they took him; they killed him in front of the whole city. He was a monster of a wolf, second in size only to Victor," Timber said and frowned. "You know they made him watch. They made Victor watch as they killed Saber, but that's not the best part you know..." Timber wolf said and smiled.
"Don't say it Timber, it wasn't right then, and it's not right now!" Black said and put his arm around Kyle protectively.
"That was his son Black! They killed his son right in front of him!" Timber said in anger.
"The Mithril Order did that?" Kyle asked in shock.
Timber laughed at the mention of the order. "Don't be stupid, those self proclaimed heroes were the first ones to protest. They said a public execution would be too harsh. It would give their little hero club bad publicity if they supported an execution. It was the High Court, those ruthless bustards who built that hell hole that Victor is in now, that overturned the ruling of the Angel City council and ordered a public execution."
Kyle tried to take it all in, but something still stuck in his mind. "You said Saber wolf was Victor's son, but not like his wolf son, his real son?"
"Yes, he was, Victor's oldest son that is. His younger son is a wolf too, but Victor never gave the command for him to join the pack, so he's still not allowed in meetings." Timber Wolf said and smiled. "You should have seen the fit he threw when he heard about you."
"So why did I get to be a Wolf and not him?"
"Because your papa wolf here is the 'acting' leader, and in Victor's absence he made you a wolf. We got a letter from Victor about it just the other day authorizing the addition of a new wolf to the pack anyways, so it's not like I can argue about it." Timber said gruffly and exchanged a look with Black Wolf.
There was a heavy tension in the room, and for a moment Kyle felt like barging in was a bad idea. "Who cares, let's get back to business, what did I miss?"
...
As Kyle listened to the two wolves talk, another meeting was going on high above them. In a shining room in the middle of the Mithril Fortress six high backed chairs sat around a circular white table. In one of those chairs, beside where his mother and father usually sat, Electron listened to Righteous Shield as he spoke. The holograms of his parents turned to him briefly before smiling and looking back at the leader of the Order. "... and if the information provided by Electron proves true than we can expect more activity from the Pack." Shield said and smiled at the newest member of the order. Electron had already proven a useful, if impulsive, addition to the ranks.
"Perhaps we should alert the Court and let them know about the movements of the Pack," Neon Flash suggested.
"I can't say I approve of that decision," Neutron said beside Electron. "The last time they dealt with the pack they caused more sympathy for Victor than I would have liked. The Pack still has many public and political supporters who would love to see Victor return to power," Neutron added.
"Are you suggesting that unleashing the pack again would be better than dealing with the Court?" Neon Flash asked with a hint of anger in his voice.
Proton stepped in to defend his wife, "What Patricia is saying here is that at least when the pack was still around we had some help in controlling the crime rate. When we invited the High Court into Angel City nobody could have guessed how ruthlessly they would attack the Pack or the other criminal elements of Angel City"
To everyone's surprise it was Silver Striker who spoke up next. "And now they are petitioning Angel City council for more land to build a vault even bigger than the first! How many people do we need to lock up before the streets are free of crime? How many people need they pass judgment upon before we are free from the laws of the Court. Where once we held righteous power over the weak; now we are comic book heroes with little more than a police badge to our names! How do you justify that Neon?"
Neon looked surprised at the outburst from one of the most productive and agreeable members of the Order. "I didn't know that was how you felt Silver," Neon said and frowned. "Regardless, I still say the High Court is better than the Pack."
Neon crossed his arms and looked to Righteous Shield for support. "Electron," Shield said and looked across the table at the sixth member of the order, "Since you were the one who provided this information I want you to keep looking for evidence to back up your claims. If you can prove the Pack is planning an attack on the Vault I will authorize the remaining members of the Order to act according to your findings."
Electron was shocked. He had never been given an assignment this big before. "I'm still on call officially right?" Electron asked.
"Silver Striker and I will take up the slack. You may focus on your investigation in the next months as you see fit," Righteous Shield said and smiled. "I expect you to make the right decision in this matter Ben."
Electron nodded as Righteous Shield placed his hand on the glowing orb of light in the middle of the table. The other members followed suit except for the holograms which simply winked out of existence. A surge of energy flowed into Electron and he felt the goodness of the light flowing into him.
Ben stood and smiled to the present members of the Order. He felt a hand on his shoulder as Righteous Shield silently bade him to wait for the other two to leave. After they were alone Ben looked at the leader of the Order and wondered what he would want to say without the others around. "There is a reason I chose you for this task Ben," Shield said and looked into the young man's eyes. "There are many among us that would influence you to make a decision without backing up what you decide, but I want you to do what you think is right. If you should find, like others have through the years, that the Court is indeed in the wrong, then I would want to know, but if the Pack is indeed planning an attack than I want you to tell me that as well, understood?"
Electron nodded and Righteous Shield patted him on his shoulder and made his way out of the council room. Ben was confused, why would the leader of the Order put him in charge of something so important, and what had he meant when he had said that the Court might be wrong?

As Electron made his way off the flying fortress above Angel City Kyle was just getting home from his own meeting. Getting into his window was a chore, but he managed without much sound. Kyle's ass still hurt from where Black Wolf had fucked him just an hour ago. The exhausted teen groaned as he collapsed into bed still half covered with fur. He knew the more he was mated the faster he would gain the secondary characteristics of being a member of the Pack, but he didn't really care. Black Wolf was his wolf father and their mating was instinctual. No wolf had ever created another wolf before. Only Victor had that power, so the fact that Black Wolf had done it was a miracle in and of itself.
Kyle hit the bed like a brick as sleep stole over him. The human inside him was dead tired, and the wolf needed to rest and gain strength from the seed churning inside Kyle's ass. Oddly though, his body had another's seed inside it. And even though Kyle didn't know it the heroic essence inside his backside was becoming part of him as well.
