Tenacious (http://www.furaffinity.net/user/tashkara)
It was another showery summer evening when a
raccoon and a fennec fox got together for pizza and a film. The rain clattering
down on the tiles of the roof and the windows sounded like a heavenly
percussive orchestra and the sunset imbued them with a dancing golden glow. The
trees quivered in the gentle twilight zephyr and drank from the torrential
offering of twinkling raindrops. The forest was a beauty to behold on such a
glorious evening, but Allison and Benedict's attentions were firmly focussed on
the selection of DVDs and Blu-rays laid out on the coffee table before them.
"Hmm...this one!" Benny said,
picking out The Princess Bride.
Allison smirked. "As you wish."
Benedict looked bemused. "I have claws
and I'm not afraid to use them."
Allison refrained from quoting the film
throughout its duration, but still could not help challenging Benny to an
impromptu swordfight with some wooden swords afterwards. Allison's raccoon feet
carried him swiftly and gracefully across the floor, but Benny's Bonetti Defence
cast off his attacks. Allison lunged in with a Capo Ferro, but Benny countered
with a Thibault and swept Allison's legs out from under him, standing on top of
the raccoon to win the duel.
"Okay, okay! You win!" With their
energy now expended, the fennec and the raccoon sat together in front of the
roaring fire and debated what film to end their evening with. The pale blue
radiance of night shone in through the windows and seemed to have its own duel
with the warm firelight spreading through the room. Allison stared outside at
the forest canopy above them and pondered for a moment.
"Aha!" he cried. "I know the
perfect film!" He pounced on his pile of DVDs and popped up some time
later with his choice: The Evil Dead.
"Coon...you want to watch a film about
demons attacking a cabin in the woods...while sitting in a cabin in the
woods?"
"Oi! This is much more than a cabin!
Besides, the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan couldn't get through those
doors!"
Benny was sceptical, but soon settled in as
the film progressed. Allison on the other hand was cowering behind a throw
cushion and only looking out when Benny told him it was safe. After an hour
more of gore and shocks, the film came to close...and the power cut out.
Allison's den was plunged into thick darkness and a sense of dread fell over
the two. Benny squeaked and cowered into Allison's arms.
"Coon...you don't happen to have the Necronomicon
Ex-Mortis down there in your vault, do you?"
Allison whimpered. "I-I don't know...you
think there could really be d-demons out here?"
Benny's reply was cut short by a flash of
lightning and a booming crash of thunder from outside.
"All is well," Allison said softly,
rising to his feet with the fox still clung to his side. "The storm's just
cut the power! I can just turn that back on, and then-"
DING DONG.
Benny screeched and pulled Allison back as he
headed to the door. "Oh, there's the door bell!"
"Coon, no! It's the demons!"
"Why would demons use the doorbell?"
"They're lulling you into a false sense
of security!"
Allison took a deep breath and pulled the
doors open. Another flash of lightning illuminated the silhouette of a tall and
wide fox, towering over the raccoon and fennec. His fists were clenched and the
disquieting smell of wet fur drifted from him, soaked from the storm. The
dripping water gave his brown fur an eerie shimmer.
Allison gulped. "H-hello?"
The fox shook gently on the porch and wrung
out his tail. "Tenacious, by name...and by nature." The starlight
twinkled from his pearly fangs as his mouth split into an sinister grin.
Without invitation he pushed past Allison and stepped into the foyer, looking
around at the kitchen and back across to the living area, seemingly drawn to
the warmth of the fire but still standing unnervingly.
"I'm sorry, can I help you?" Allison
enquired. "It's late, I was just about to take my friend back to town
and-"
"I was just in the area when I suddenly
grew hungry." As if on cue, Tenacious' stomach let out a howling growl
that almost confirmed the raccoon's fears that demons had arrived. "I came
this way when I thought I smelled...food."
There was a look of mischief on his face.
Benny hid behind Allison and peered out at the big intruder. It seemed as
though he was referring to the empty pizza boxes when he mentioned food, but
the fox's eyes were firmly focussed on Benny when he spoke. Allison seemed to
catch on to his intentions and held the door open. "I'm sorry, Tenacious.
I can't help you."
Tenacious growled softly and stepped towards
the two. "Oh no, you don't understand! I'm not leaving until I've had
something to eat!"
"I can see where your name comes
from," Allison said, suddenly ducking around the strange guest and darting
off down the hall. His attempt to escape was futile as the fox dived after the
raccoon, his muscular arm catching Allison by the ankle and easily lifting him
off the ground. The captured raccoon looked up to see Tenacious' other arm was
already funnelling Benny into his gaping mouth. With his head tipped back, his
progress eating the tiny fennec was fast. The fox's long tongue was extended
and was tasting Benny as his hand pushed him down. Benny quivered and squirmed,
his legs suddenly surrounding by the warm, wet walls of the predator's throat.
Allison could see Tenacious' throat distend as Benny was sucked in up to his
hips, his tail already somewhere deep down inside. Benny's kicking feet made
bulges in the skin of Tenacious' neck, but the feeling only seemed to make him
enjoy it more as he let out a series of approving growls. Giving one last push
on Benny's head, Tenacious was able to fit the whole fennec into his mouth and
close his mighty jaws around him. Allison saw the fox take a huge gulp, the
bulge of the fennec travelling down his body and plopping into the stomach with
a wobble. Sighing happily and rubbing his distended belly, Tenacious turned his
attentions to Allison, flipping him over and holding him head first above his
gaping mouth. The raccoon could only dangle there and stare down into the
gaping throat of the beast. Sharp, white fangs were set in a bed of pink gums
and slimy strands of saliva hung down from the roof of his mouth to his long
tongue. He licked his lips and started to pull Allison inside. Allison threw
out his paws desperately but they just slipped off the slimy tongue and got
pulled down into the throat. Before he knew what was happening, his head joined
his arms in Tenacious' gullet. Being used to being a predator, the whole
sensation was very unusual for Allison. The first thing that struck him was the
immense pressure of the throat around him. The oesophagus squeezed and
contracted and pulled him further down, the slimy walls rubbing over him almost
like they were tasting him. The outside world was now a memory as Allison's
senses were overwhelmed. Every growl sounded like a thunderous roar from inside
the tight passageway and Allison relaxed to ease his journey down. Before long
he felt his nose pushing through a ring of muscle and soon his head was inside
the fox's stomach. There was one more sudden push as the predator swallowed and
Allison suddenly felt his whole body slipping down into that belly pouch,
expanding it even more though still squeezing Benny and Allison tight against
each other.
"So," Benny said, looking bemused
again. "Those doors could keep out the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan,
but you still let this guy in?"
Allison lowered his ears and pulled Benny into
a snuggle. They might as well get comfortable if they were going to be trapped
in the dark belly. As Allison let his eyes close, he found something strangely
comforting about being curled up in the big predator's tummy. There was a
gentle but distant beating of Tenacious' heart and a cosy warmth radiated from
all sides. The belly pouch moved and bulged inwards slightly as the host rubbed
it and the whole thing rocked gently up and down in time with the fox's
footsteps. Soon Allison and Benny couldn't help but fall fast asleep in the
comforting cocoon of the stomach.
Tenacious grinned to himself and stepped out
into the rain again, holding his bouncy belly as he walked. These two critters
were a very nice meal...and probably not for the last time.
