Ainoko watched as they sat to eat, then he went about gathering their supplies and doing a checklist on what they were low on. He grabbed a pouch of coins and headed into town to the local general goods store run by the lizard race known as a Bangaa.

The bangaa looked him over curiously then shrugged his shoulders before he took the paper Ainoko held with the list of medicines and potions. "Where you headed that you need so many remedies?" The bangaa asked. His words were spoken with a slight lisp.

"The Paramina Rift." Ainoko replied.

"Ah, so you're traveling through the Golmore Jungle. You need the remedies then. Be wary of the treants in the area. They're relentless."

With the supplies tucked away in a knapsack Ainoko headed back to the inn. He watched as his masters paid the inn keeper and headed towards the door with the rest of the gear. Ainoko fell in line behind them as they head towards the city boarders.

Ozmone Plains was lush and green. Several creatures ran around not paying them any mind as they walked the trails.

"It's a good day." Laerion commented close to noon. "It feels so fresh out here. Not to mention we haven't had any troubles with the local wild life." He chuckled spying a pair of giant birds known as the Wu squawking at each other over a nest.

"Be careful." Laerion called out to him as he crossed his arms over his chest. Nystra held his bow at the ready. It was the usual song and dance for the group. One moved in to distract while the others took care from afar.

By nightfall the Golmore Jungle was in sight. It loomed ominously on the horizon.

Ainoko set up the tents in the Nomad camp they were settling in. The people welcomed them and shared their food. Ainoko sold off the viper skin and fangs to their healer while his masters enjoyed the stories and food.

When they had laid down for bed Ainoko ate his dinner and curled up in a smaller adjoining tent.

When the sun crested on the plains, they were up and packed ready to go. Gathering the supplies Ainoko waited for Laerion and Nystra to finish with their talking. It wasn't long before they were on the road again.

~The Rustling Ruins~

"We are following up on a Mark." Nystra said.

"I am Joht." The woman said. "Come, I know to whom you must speak to."

Ainoko stepped back as the woman reached to touch him.

"You must venture to the Rustling Ruins, there you will find the black hare. Be wary though. It won't submit easily, and if you let your guard down, it will take you."

"When's the best tie to hunt it?" Nystra asked moving close to Ainoko.

"You don't hunt the Vorpal, it will find you." She turned hazel eyes upon Nystra. "But only he," she pointed to Ainoko. "Can take it." She looked back at Ainoko, her eyes glowing ominously.

"Rest for the night." Jote said pulling Nera away from Ainoko he had taken to hissing at the female as she tried to cup his face in her hands. She seemed almost entranced by Ainoko.

Ainoko nodded and began checking his weapon. He tested the blade against his paw pad before grabbing a whet stone and proceeding in sharpening the blades edge.

Laerion walked over to him and rubbed his ear. "You do good and we'll reward you handsomely." Laerion grinned. "So do a good job. Okay?"

Laerion patted his head. "I'm going to speak with Nera and see what I can find out about the vorpal hare."

~Rustling Ruins~

"Well we'll still rest tonight and leave in the morning. After all we have to travel the rest of the journey and head to Mt. Bur-Omisace."

Ainoko gave a nod and walked to the tent.

"How was the battle?" Laerion asked hiding a knowing smile.

"It kept going, and going, and going, and going..." Ainoko trailed off as he crawled into bed and curled up.

Nystra and Laerion chuckled and walked into the tent. They curled up in their respective beds and fell asleep.

~The next morning~
