At the Grand Duel Academy, the entrance exams have just finished. Out of the 200 entrants to the academy, only half of them make it in. We focus ourselves on one of the entrants, a male Lopunny named Rose Lapine. He had nearly been late to his entrance duel exam, causing him to be forced to duel against one of the head proctors, Dr. Growler. But through a massive turnabout using his Ojama deck, he was able to take down Growler's Five-Headed Dragon and finish him off in a single move. The rabbit took his written placement exam, and soon, the new recruits were sitting in the main hall, awaiting their dorm placements. There were three dorms in the school. The highest was Galaxy Gold, where those who aced their opening duel exams and got near to perfect scores. They were the elite of the school. The second highest was Bujin Blue. These duelists had a fair grasp of the game, and very adequate skills. Duelists in this dorm had the potential to be great duelists, and just need to work on honing their skills. The lowest of the dorms was Photon Purple. Those in this dorm were on the lower end of the skill spectrum. While they are by no means bad duelists, they have limited knowledge about the game. Those in this dorm are the lowest in the school, but shouldn't be counted out on their own natural skill. The students get their blazers, and Rose is placed down in Photon Purple, donning his uniform, taking his spares after getting his ID card and dorm D-Gazer. He opted out of getting a dorm duel disk.

Rose: I fixed up and used this disk for years. I'll keep it if you don't mind.

The teachers were confused, as they at least gave him his D-Pad, for his schoolwork, as Rose smiled, going off to the transport ship. It was a long plane ride, but it was an enormous carrier, the students staying around their own dorm areas, as the amenities given were different, getting the better you placed. The Galaxy Gold level had high-class food and drinks for the students, as well as posh furniture. The Bujin Blue level was a bit less, with comfy furniture and tasty snacks. The Photon Purple level was really boring, barely enough chairs, and cheap snacks like on any old flight. But Rose didn't care, smiling as he was at least socializing, learning about other's decks and how they liked to play. After a bit, Rose sits at one of the tables by the window, going over his deck. However, as he did, someone was watching from a distance. The pokemorph creeps up, soon after going up and wrapping his arms around Rose's chest.

???: Hey baby. Wanna see my big deck? Rose: AH!

Rose turns around, slapping whoever it was. It turns out it was the Gallade from before, Hudson.

Hudson: Gah! Feisty little bunny girl. Rose: Girl? I'm a boy, thank you very much. Hudson: Wait...DAMN IT Allie was right! Crap and here I thought I would get laid sometime soon.

Rose giggles, helping him up to sit on the chair across him on the table.

Rose: You really should try to be more of a gentleman. Hudson; But where's the fun in that? Rose: Eh, while true, better to be nice. I'm Rose by the way. Hudson: The name's Hudson. You're the guy that OTK'd Growler. I gotta say, never saw those ugly little things used so well. Rose: They aren't ugly! They're adorable! Hudson: *laugh* Well, that's your opinion. So, they put you down here, and you took out Five-Headed Dragon and won the duel in one go? Rose: Eh, I don't' care. It's a chance for me to learn more. Hudson: Whatever. Rose; So, what do you use? Hudson: It's a secret. But just know that it's fast. Rose: Hmph, and what's that supposed to mean, blunt-blade? Hudson: Blunt-blade?! Coming from you, fluffle puff!

The two glare at each other for a bit, then burst out into laughter.

Rose: Well, we still have about three hours left for the flight....may as well get some rest. Hudson: I'll see you around the dorms.

He gets up, going to the resting quarters. Rose smiles, relaxing. After a few hours, the giant carrier plane lands on the island. At the island was a massive building, a large school with a technological feel. It was in the center of the island, the dorm buildings placed around the island, as well as administration. Once in, the students filed off the ship, going to the main building's auditorium. They all take their seats, smiling as they all chat. Soon, the lights dim, as a Blaziken female steps up to the podium.

Blaziken: Welcome to Grand Duel Academy. By passing your entrance exams, you have passed and entered the most prestigious Duel Academy in the world. I am Chancellor Ignis. And may I be the first to say, congratulatioins.

There was a speech from Ignis, as well as a few of the key positions, and then they go over the basic rules of the campus. After that, the students are released to their dorms for their first dinner social. Of course, just like the plane, the three dorms were of differing calibers. The Galaxy Gold dorms were located in a high-class marble building, the structure and all rooms high-class and high comfort. The meals were all high-caliber, made by professional chefs. The Bujin Blue dorms were a bit lower, but were the quality you'd find at any normal sit-down restaurant, the dorm rooms about the level of a 3-star hotel. And at the bottom was the Photon Purple. And their dorms, while not holes in the wall, were what you'd expect from a motel, hard beds and not much lighting, and their welcome dinner was just simple and cheap food. While many of the students didn't like this too much, Rose could've cared less, just glad to be here. After a bit, their dorm head came out, a Delcatty female, wearing a purple vest over her black t-shirt.

Delcatty: Welcome to the Photon Purple dorm. I'm Professor Delia, your dorm head. I'm also the history teacher for the school, so you'll be seeing me this semester as first-years. I'm looking forward to having you here. Well, feel free to dig in.

They all eat up, and soon everyone went to their dorms. Rose found his, smiling as he opens the door....and seeing a familiar green and white pokemorph.

Rose; Hey! Hudson! Hudson: Huh? Oh, what's up, bunny? You my roommate? Rose: This room 34? Hudson: I'll take that as a yes.

Rose smiles, taking a bed, sighing as he relaxes.

Hudson: Tch, this place ain't too bad. A bit of a dirty hole, but livable. Rose: I'm just glad I got in. Getting into the Grand Duel Academy has been my dream ever since I was a little kid. I was so happy that my deck was able to beat such an amazing monster! Hudson: Yeah, not many have been able to take it down. And even then in one turn! How did you end up using those guys anyway? Rose; Well, I never had that much money to get the best cards. I was forced to scrounge for my first deck actually. And the first card I found was my Ojama King.

Rose dug in his extra deck, taking out the very card it was. He had three of them in his deck, but this was an extra one. It was crumpled, torn in a couple of places, and dirty.

Hudson: Sheesh, that card's been through a lot. Rose: Yeah. I just found this as a sign to go with these guys. So I looked around for the cards that went with this guy, and I built my deck around them. I finally have the deck I have now, and I've used it ever since. Hudson: Wow, impressive. Well, it's getting late. We'd best get to bed, got some big things happening tomorrow. Rose; Yeah, the big school beginning of the year festival! I can't wait! Night, Hudson. Hudson: Night.

The two of them go to sleep, ready for a big day tomorrow.

The next day there were no classes. But there was a big festival for the tournament, as all the students gather in the massive front lawn of the school. Nearly 2000 students and over 50 faculty joined for the big school festival. Just a big day to welcome everybody to the GDA. The festival had games, food, and of course, duels. There were plenty of mini-tourneys and random duel fields all over, plenty of students, even the teachers, having fun all day. Rose and Hudson were walking around, Rose holding several new packs of cards he got, Hudson holding plenty of snacks as he chowed down.

Rose: You know, you'd better hold back on the food. Hudson: Are you kidding me, this stuff is great!

Rose and Hudson laugh, but something catches Rose's eye. He turns to look at one of the small buildings around the courtyard, where there was a lone pokemorph sitting there. It was a Zorua, and a young looking one at that, no older than 12, and female by the little bit of chest that she had. She was just sitting there in the shade, in her gold vest.

Rose: Huh, hey, Hudson, you know who that is? Hudson: Huh? Her? Not really, but I heard she aced both of her exams. Rose: Whoa...hey, what's going on?

A group of large male students, wearing blue and gold blazers, go up to the girl. A Machoke smirks, staring at her.

Machoke: Tch, so, you're the little bitch that so-called got perfect on her entrance exam? Shimmer, I believe?

She looked up, not an emotion on her face.

Shimmer; Yeah, what of it? Machoke: How the fuck did a little girl like you get a grade like that? Bet you just sucked the proctor's dick to get a grade like that. Shimmer: Screw you.

He flinched, growling as he grabbed her by the scruff of her neck.

Machoke: You little slut! Shimmer: I'd rather not get physical here. But if you'd rather duel, by all means. Machoke: Heh, fine. But if you lose, you come clean about your lies. Shimmer: And if I win? Machoke: I'll do your homework for a month. Shimmer: Eh, fair enough.

The two of them go to an empty duel arena. Rose and Hudson go to the field, and they tune their D-Gazers into the duel. The two duelists get their duel disks set. But while the Machoke has a plain grey one, the Zorua had an incredible one. Her disk was designed after a scythe, the disk a curved blade. The blade was a shiny chrome black, and the rest was a deep blood red.

Machoke; Sweet disk. Shimmer: Thanks. Let's get this over with.

He smirks, drawing.

Machoke: I'll start by activating Double Summon! It allows me to Normal Summon twice this turn! And I think I'll set two monsters in face-down defense position! Then I set two cards facedown and end my turn. Shimmer; Oh gosh, one of you guys. Machoke: What's that supposed to mean? Shimmer: Those monsters obviously have massive defense, and you're a turtle-style player, stalling for time, obviously going for an instant-win card. Most likely Exodia or Final Countdown.

The male flinched, as that was exactly what he was going for, already with two pieces in his hand.

Shimmer; Whatever, let's just get this over with. I think I'll start off by special summoning Evilswarm Mandragora. Then I summon Evilswarm Castor.

The two monsters appear on the field, the Machoke laughing.

Machoke: Those cards are far too weak! You'll never- Shimmer: You know, for being so big, you're really just a weakling that just barely got in. So just shut up, and let me continue, kay? I use Castor's effect, allowing me to summon another monster with "lswarm" in its name. I summon Evilswarm Kerykeion. Now I overlay Castor and Mandragora to complete the overlay network.

The two monsters became purple forms of light, as they were DARK attribute, combining in the vortex.

Shimmer: I XYZ summon Evilswarm Ophion!

The giant black bird rises from the ground, screeching loudly.

Shimmer: Now I activate Opion's effect. By detaching an Overlay Unit, I can add an "Infestation" spell or trap card to my hand. I think I'll add Infestation Infection.

The card came out of her deck, and she added it to her hand.

Shimmer: Now I activate Shield Crush, destroying the monster on the right.

It ended up to be Destiny Hero Defender, a powerful wall monster.

Shimmer: Knew it. Alright, Opion, attack the monster on the left!

The bird screeched loudly, firing a massive blast at the monster. It was Mystical Elf, the female monster shattering.

Shimmer: Kerykeion, attack directly!

The monster charged in, slashing as the Machoke grunted, going down to 6400

Shimmer: I set two cards face down and end my turn. Machoke: Tch, you little bitch....I activate my facedown Silent Doom, allowing me to bring back Mystical Elf!

The monster reappears on the field in defense mode.

Machoke; I then set another monster and end my turn! Shimmer: Finally. My go. And I'll start by activating Opion again, adding my Infestation Pandemic spell to my hand. Then I activate Kerykeion's effect. I can banish an "lswarm" monster from my grave to add a different one from my grave to my hand. I banish Mandragora to add Castor to my hand. Then Kerykeion gains a second effect, allowing me to normal summon another "lswarm" monster this turn. I think I'll begin by summoning Evilswarm Heliotrope, then summoning Castor using Kerykeion's effect. Then I use Castor's effect, summoning another Heliotrope.

Her field was now full, as she smirked.

Shimmer: This duel is just about over. I overlay a Heliotrope, Castor, and Kerykeion. I XYZ summon Evilswarm Oroborous!

The three monsters go into the vortex, as the massive dragon appears on the field.

Shimmer: Good luck getting me now. I activate Oroborous's effect! By detatching an overlay unit, I can use any one of his three effects. And I think I'll go with returning a card to your hand! Say goodbye to your facedown monster.

The monster pops off the field, returning to the jerk's hand.

Shimmer: Ophion, attack Mystical Elf! Machoke: Not so fast! I activate my trap, MIRROR FORCE! Say goodbye to your prescious monsters! Shimmer: *sigh* You fucking idiot, did you already forget? I activate Infestation Pandemic from my hand! Now all my monsters are unaffected by spells and traps for the rest of this turn!

The monsters pass through the barrier, Mystical Elf shattering again as the other two deal massive damage, bringing him down to 700 life points.

Machoke: How...HOW?! Shimmer: Admit it, you're weak.

His eyes were on fire, as he yelled.

Machoke: Gah! Fuck you, you little bitch, I activate Double Summon, then I set a monster, then sacrifice it to set another monster! That's it. Shimmer: Probably Millennium Shield or something like that. A pitiful attempt to stall. Let's end it, shall we? I activate my facedown Infestation Infection. I activate its effect, returning Ophion to my extra deck, allowing me to add another one to my hand. And I thinkn I'll add Castor. I summon him, then use his effect, summing Mandragora. Now I overlay Castor and Mandragora to XYZ summon Opion all over again!

The dragon reappears on the field, the units back around it.

Shimmer: I use his effect, adding Infestation Terminus to my hand. I then set a card facedown and end my turn. Machoke: No....no....

He draws, then smirks, laughing wildly.

Machoke; You lose, you little bitch! Now you'll never get by my wall, I activate Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying Terminus!

The whirlwind goes for it, but the little girl just smirks.

Shimmer: You fucking loser. I chain it. My card goes first, as I banish Ophion and return your shield and your facedown to your hand.

The Machoke gasps as the cards are back in his hand, his field empty

Machoke: I...I... Shimmer: End your turn? Alright. Oroborus, end it.

The monster fires a massive energy blast at him, as his life points drop to zero. She sighs, putting her deck away.

Shimmer: I'll come by every day to bring you my homework. Enjoy...dumbass.

She walks off the field, the Machoke just in shock. Rose and Hudson were amazed, watching from the side.

Rose: Well...that was interesting....

Hudson: Definitely...looks like we might have some good competition here.

Rose smiles, as he watches her walk away, blushing a bit as the two of them head off to enjoy the rest of the festival.
