A Screwed Hypnotist
Well, here we are again with a hypno story, for once NOT commissioned by Zsisron. Instead, the naga's friend bluedude commissioned this one, and it's his hypnotic skunk vs the hypnotic naga. See who wins.

A Screwed Hypnotist For Bluedude By Draconicon
Getting to college was one thing; unpacking once you got there was something else, and Azure hadn't expected it to be such a chore. The skunk grunted as he carried his possessions from one part of the room to another, lugging a few boxes around until they were in a good spot to be unloaded, only to decide that they should be somewhere else a second later. They were heavy too, making him jerk and wobble while he moved, and his signature amulet thudded against his chest every time he stopped. His roommate wasn't much help either, though considering he was still something of a stranger, the skunk supposed he shouldn't have been too surprised.
He looked over his shoulder, shaking his head at the naga sprawled out on the opposite bed. The blue scaled serpent was in the middle of reading one of his textbooks, but every so often he swore that Zsisron looked around the pages at him. It was a little strange; he wasn't used to people staring at him, and he had mixed feelings about getting the kind of stare that the serpent sent him.
Shaking his head and doing his best to ignore it, he focused on getting his stuff out. Most of his clothes were already put away - for that matter, most of them were waiting to be worn, as they'd been bought fresh - and all that was left were several things like his computer, some books, and other little knick-knacks that he had brought from home. Just personal things, but ones that he hoped would make the year a little more comfortable. The room itself was pretty sparse and spartan, after all. Despite being wide enough for their beds to stretch from the walls and not quite touch each other, the room was bare and empty, with only a white wall and red carpet to give it any color.
Well, at least he could add a few things to it. He walked around his bed, setting up a small desk that he'd picked up from a nearby furniture store. It was a cheap one, but that was all he needed for the semester. Once the next loan came in, he could afford something a little better.
He was about halfway through putting it together when the snake started talking.
"So, Azzzure, what'd you ssssay you were here for again?"
"Eh, psychology mostly."
"Hmm, interessssting choice. Figuring out how the mind workssss issss a good thing for anybody to know."
"I already know enough to get into the advanced classes."
"Really? Well, I know a bit more than that, but it'll be niccce to have ssssomeone elsssse to talk to about it. What'sssss got you into it?"
"Not really sure. Just sounded interesting."
"Heh. It issss interessssting. Very, very interessssting."
The skunk paused, turning to look over his shoulder at the snake again. Zsisron had put the book aside and had come as close as a naga could to standing up. His hood was slightly spread, and the way that he loomed over him was not precisely comforting.
"Um, something wrong?"
"Oh, nothing, nothing. Just looking at sssssomething elsssse interessssting."
"Pretty sure that you can't say that my ass is interesting, considering that's where your eyes seem to be glued."
"Oh, you wound me, but you diminisssh yourself. Ssssuch a lovely backsssside you have, and ccccertainly interessssting."
"Heh, to you, maybe."
Heh, so his roommate was something of a flirt. Not what he expected, he admitted as he turned back to the desk. It might even lead to a little fun later in the -
"Of coursssse, I imagine you'd look even more interessssting without your pantssss."
He froze in the middle of turning a screw, slowly turning around again. This time the naga was half coiled around himself, 'seated' on the floor beside the skunk. One of his hands hovered inches over Azure's hips, as if stroking him. The skunk shook his head as he slid back from his desk, getting to his feet with a small chuckle.
"Okay, you wanna look? Can't stop you from that, but stop the silly stuff before it gets creepy, okay? I don't want to call the people in admin about this."
"Oh, but you just invite it. Besidessss, you can alwayssss look at me, if you want. My tail, my armssss, my eyessss. Go ahead, I won't sssstop you."
It was something of a temptation, but Azure shrugged and looked away. He had more stuff to work on, and the snake was just being silly. He needed to take this seriously, even if his roommate wouldn't.
He barely made it a couple of steps before he felt something wrap around his ankle. Grabbing hold of one of his bedposts, he caught his balance before he could fall over. Looking over his shoulder, he saw the naga's tail wrapped around him, keeping him from moving away. The tip of it slid over the bottom of his foot, almost tickling him with the end of it.
"Come come, I looked at you, now you look at me. It'ssss fair that way, issssn't it?"
"You're not going to let me get back to work until I do, are you?"
"Nnnnope."
"Alright, fine."
It wasn't that hard to look at the naga, he admitted. The smooth contours of his body and the way that the scales just seemed to guide the eyes along were admittedly enticing. Zsisron must have kept the scales well polished, too, because they caught the light remarkably well, shining and reflective, almost like a mirror. He could almost see his own reflection in them, and it got clearer and clearer the further up the serpent's coils he looked.
A slight blush filled his cheeks as he passed over the snake's sex, an exposed slit with just a hint of something else poking out. Logic said that the serpent couldn't really wear pants without legs, but it was still a surprise to the skunk to see it so blatantly shown, and he kept looking further up, shaking his head to avoid thinking about what he'd seen.
Past a surprisingly smooth chest and decent arms, he found himself looking into the naga's eyes. They were swirling with colors, and Zsisron slowly bobbed his head side to side, his hood fully flared to focus someone's eyes onto his own.
"Yes, Azure, you've enjoyed looking at me, haven't you? Just keep on looking. The besssst is yet to come."
"What are you doing?"
"Just a little trick, Azure, nothing bad. Just another lovely bit of color for you to ssssssee."
The skunk watched as the naga bobbed back and forth, the colors in the eyes mildly interesting but not so much as his roommate suggested. However, the longer he watched them, the more he felt the amulet on his chest warm up. It never burned him or anything, but it was definitely active.
Azure smiled. So, the naga really was trying to hypnotize him instead of just play around. It wasn't that surprising; he'd seen a few others of that species try the trick in high school. Most people succumbed to it pretty quickly, but then again, most people didn't have the sort of help he had. He cocked his head to the side as Zsisron continued moving his head back and forth, whispering hypnotic words.
"Ssssuch a lovely show, issssn't it? It's a beautiful ssset of colorssss, sssssuch a lovely sssset. It wouldn't hurt to keep looking at it for a little longer, would it? It'sss sssso colorful, sssso ssssoothing. Go on, keep looking. I can keep thissss up for a long time, if it's for a friend."
I'll just bet you can. Azure stifled a chuckle as the snake kept up the hypnotic head bobbing, letting him think it was working for another minute or two. However, he soon started feeling bored, and he decided to move the whole thing along.
"Is that your best? Really?"
Zsisron blinked. The naga's tail slowly unwound from the skunk's ankle, but Azure didn't let his roommate pull too far back. He took a step forward to keep the distance constant, tugging slightly on the chain of his pendant. The light shimmered off of the metal on the rim, and as soon as it caught the naga's eyes, Zsisron's gaze was drawn to it, just as Azure had expected.
The skunk moved the pendant from side to side, watching as the naga's eyes followed it from left to right, up and down, and even diagonally. It was almost funny, and it was definitely a bit of a power trip. Azure shook his head at the would-be hypnotist before getting a better grip on the chain. If his roommate was going to pull crap like this, he needed to learn that the skunk could do it right back to him, and better. He didn't take the pendant off, but he did hold it up so that it was between the two of them, letting the serpent get a good look straight into the blue center.
"You have a lovely light show, Zsisron. Now, why don't you take a look at it for me?"
"What are you, what are you talking about?"
"Oh come now, don't be coy. You have such a lovely set of colors in your eyes, so relaxing and de-stressing. Why don't you take a moment to enjoy them yourself? You are so busy, after all, and psychology is such a difficult subject. You could really use the break."
"But -"
He twitched his fingers, setting the pendant to saying gently. Just as before, Zsisron's eyes followed it, the glimmering lights coming off of the blue center and the metal around it keeping his gaze glued to it.
"You can already feel it, can't you? It's just a lovely pendant to look at, so warm and gentle a light. Just a simple look at this is making you feel so relaxed, so very limp in your coils. Can you imagine how much better it would be with your own lovely colors?"
"Yessss...Yesss I can."
"Come on, let me see how beautiful you can make it, Zsisron. Show me your colors bouncing off of my pendant."
It could have been that the naga was trying to turn the tables, or he might have already been in enough of a trance to actually listen, but he did as he was told. The colors bloomed in the naga's eyes as he watched the pendant sway. From experience, Azure knew that the colors were already being reflected back, and he saw a secondary swirl bloom in the naga's eyes, bouncing off of the colors that he was trying to project. He grinned; it was always so delicious when the other person did half of his job for him. It was even better when the other person was so used to getting their way and hypnotizing people without a struggle.
He kept the pendant swaying from side to side, letting it gather a little more momentum as it swung around. It didn't move much faster, but it did cover more of an area, forcing the naga to turn his head a bit more to keep his eyes glued to it. The colors were swirling faster, probably Zsisron's attempt to fight off the hypnosis with more of his own. Of course, in this case, more hypnosis would only make the battle harder for him.
"That's it. Such a lovely set of colors to watch, isn't it? Look at the rainbow that you make in the blue of my pendant. It's such a cascade of wonders, isn't it? Such a relaxing, lovely rainbow, something you could fall into, something that you could enjoy for hours."
"Hoursss. Ssstare for hoursss."
"Yes, that's a good snake. Keep going. Make a rainbow of colors for yourself."
He barely had to do a thing. As long as the pendant kept swaying, Zsisron couldn't look away, and as long as the snake couldn't look away, he was as good as hypnotizing himself. The naga couldn't give up the contest, not when his own pride was at stake, and with his only weapon being his hypnosis, he just kept pouring it on. The secondary spiral of colors spun around the edge of the naga's eyes, slowly pushing further and further towards the center. With every passing second it dominated Zsisron's eyes that much more, pushing him further and further into a self induced trance.
"That's it. Just stare into the colors. Let the relaxing rainbow just take you away. You're almost there, Zsisron. Just a little more, and -"
The naga slumped forward. His eyes never left the pendant, but the former prideful stance he'd been in faded away, replaced with the simple, relaxed pose of someone that was deep in a trance. The colors swirled inwards on his eyes rather than outwards, and his mouth was slightly open, forked tongue swaying in the way another species might like their lips as they daydreamed.
Azure smiled to himself, letting his pendant fall back to his chest. Now that the naga was down this deep, there was no need to keep the swaying up. It was a pretty cute sight, he admitted. The naga was usually so very controlled, so focused on things, so seeing him with his mind elsewhere and relaxed like this painted a very different picture of him. It almost tempted him to do some very naughty things.
But he wasn't that sort of skunk. This was more a lesson than it was anything else, and he wanted to make sure that it stuck without inspiring revenge. Of course, that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy it a little.
Stripping down, the skunk piled his clothes onto his bed before waving his hand in front of the naga. There was no response, so he was still out. Good.
"Zsisron, wouldn't you be more comfortable if you coiled yourself up? Why don't you wrap your coils together, make a little place for me to sit on."
The naga nodded his head with a small smile. That massive blue tail wrapped itself in a figure eight, with one loop nearer to the naga's chest and one further out. There was enough tail that it laid on top of itself several times before it reached the end of the coiling, making it more like a couch or bed than a simple mat on the floor like he'd expected.
The naked skunk settled himself on the coils, sighing as he leaned back against the naga's chest. It was surprisingly comfortable, and when Zsisron folded his arms around him, it was a nice support as well. He patted the naga's head before wrapping his arm around the serpent. His eyes slowly drifted towards the doorway. The door was closed, but he wasn't so much looking at anything physical so much as he was thinking about the future.
Zsisron hadn't managed to hypnotize him this time, but he knew that it was only a matter of time until the naga found a way to really get at him. He'd just have to boost his own abilities with hypnosis to stay ahead. Psychology classes would help with that, but now that the naga knew he wasn't all powerful, he had little doubt that his roommate would hit the books as hard as he did.
There was a chance that he could deal with Zsisron, plant a suggestion to keep him from doing this sort of stuff without reason, but he doubted it would sit in the naga as permanently as he'd like. No, he'd need to do something different, something that his roommate would want to do without being forced into it.
Thankfully, he knew just the thing.
Grasping the edge of the pendant's chain, he lifted it up a bit more to let Zsisron see it again. Immediately the naga's head started to sway back and forth, following the gentle arc of the pendant. He smiled at the nice feeling of scales brushing against his shoulder, but shook his head after, not wanting to get distracted.
"You're a good hypnotist, Zsisron. You know it and I know it. You know how to hypnotize people, and you'll want to hypnotize me after this, I bet."
"Yessss...sssskunk sssshould be hypnotized."
"And to hypnotize me, you'll need to stay close, won't you? As close as any friend, as close as anybody can stay to someone in college, won't you?"
"Yesss...ssstay closssse to ssssee when I can hypnotize you..."
"Yes, you'll stay close and watch me, and I'll stay close and watch you. We have so many similar classes. We'll be talking and walking together every day, won't we?"
"Walking...talking..."
"So much fun, talking about the mind, talking about hypnosis."
"Hypnosssssisss."
"Yes, that's it. Just talking about hypnosis with your new friend, with your new roommate..."
"With my rival..."
Azure paused before shrugging his shoulders. It was true enough, he supposed; they were going to be rivals like this, particularly considering that the snake would be searching for any way around his pendant. They'd be working their asses off to stay ahead of each other, so rival was a good way to describe it.
"Yes, around your new rival. Do you understand?"
"Yessss."
"Good."
"....Hypnossssissss."
Later that day, several people in the same dorm hall were surprised to see the naga following the skunk. The two of them hadn't seemed that close over the last few days, and they'd seen the kind of people that normally hung around Zsisron. They always ended up weird, following behind the naga and doing all sorts of favors for him. That wasn't the case here. This time, the skunk seemed to be on equal footing with the blue serpent, the two of them sharing foods and spending time together in and out of class.
Yet, some of the students noticed that there was this shadow, this glint to their eyes when they looked at each other. They never dropped their smiles, but there was the feeling of a small razor's edge between them, something that kept their wit, banter, and behavior razor sharp.
Something was going on between the two of them, but nobody could figure it out, and soon nobody cared about it but the two of them.
And that was just the way Azure wanted it.
The End
