Stuck in Orbit: Chapter 8
#8 of Stuck in Orbit
Miktes wakes up on board the Wild Comet, meets Moah, and finally gets to speak with his mate.
Chapter 8
"Chief Daleer!" A voice rang out through the dark of the Verdomo night. "We've found something sir!"
Heading the call a frantic looking Daleer raced off towards the source of the outcry, a legion of guards and warriors that he had brought with him following after their leader, ready to defend him in case anything happened. As the jungle flew by him Daleer once again cursed himself for allowing his son to go out into the jungle after the two intruders who had stolen their sacred artifact. He should have known better, it was too dangerous. Especially with the weapons the two creatures bore. Miktes could be gravely hurt right now for all he knew. Bleeding and near death and all because he had forced him to come to the temple and take part in the ritual of destiny.
Coming out of the thick foliage of the jungle and entering a large field. Daleer and the group behind him approached two guards who were crouched down looking at the ground. As they got closer the Verdomian chief realized that the grass beneath their feet had strange scorch marks burned into it. "By the strangers what has caused this?" He said out loud.
"We don't know Chief Daleer." One of the two guards replied. Giving him a grim look he stood up. "But this is the only sign we have found that might lead to your son my Chief. That is this has anything to do with his disappearance."
The older male looked around in search for anything else that might give them a clue as to where Miktes might be. For the first few moments nothing caught his attention. Then suddenly a sparkle reflected off of something in the grass. "What's this?" Heading over to whatever had shone in the moonlight, robes swaying as he rushed. Daleer reached down and was surprised to find the necklace Velloy had given their son in the dressing room in the temple.
Trying to hold back a sob the dark haired Verdomian picked the family heirloom up and moved it around in his hand. He knew Miktes would have never intentionally left it behind, it being a gift from his mother. With a heartbroken sigh he looked up into the sky and muttered an ancient prayer of protection. Wherever his firstborn was right then the old man knew that his little one would need it.

[Barnabus: You know, you think of a lot of weird stuff when you dream. Sometimes it's really fun. Like the time I dreamt I was bed with a pair of Irish twins and let them go to town on me. Talk about a spit roast. Another time I dreamt about sitting on my butt and letting this hotdog vender stuff a huge E-cooleye dog into my mouth. Wonder if there's something Freudian about that. Anyway... the dream I'm having right now tops any of them. I'm wearing a loincloth and making my way slowly through that jungle we just left. I look to my right; I look to my left my ears twitching for some reason. I don't know why but for some reason I know I got to hide. But I'm not really afraid or anything. Seeing a tree I laugh and bound towards it, hiding behind the trunk. Quietly I peek around it, glad that whoever I'm hiding from hasn't found me yet. Suddenly a pair of arms wraps around my waist and I'm lifted into the air as if I'm a little kid. Squirming in my attacker's grasp I begin to giggle as they tickle me. Shifting I look behind me and I'm greeted by the face of what I assume is a female Verdomian. She smiles at me and says the words. "Got you little one.]
Barnabus let out a gasp as his eyes snapped open and the sights and sounds of the Wild Comet's medical bay rushing into his senses. Giving a groan and moving his legs and arms, double checking to make sure all his parts were still there, the laying man tilted his head to the side so that he could look across the room. Sitting in his office chair was a worried Alfred, the younger man scouring over a stack of papers in his hand. "Heya Alfred." Barnabus croaked with a dry throat.
Hearing the sound of his captain's voice Alfred dropped the papers in his hand and turned towards his patient. "CAPTAIN!" He cried out happily. Getting up he made his way over to the resting man and began checking him over like he had done before. "Are you feeling better? Is there any more pain? How many fingers am I holding up? Are there any other symptoms that I should know about? It may help me figure out what- oomph."
Wanting to get a word in Barnabus had reached up and took the blonds lips between his fingers, sufficiently getting the overzealous man to stop in his rapid fire questioning. "I'm fine Alfred." Barnabus said with a hint of amusement. "Now I'm going to let you go. Promise me you won't bombard me with any more questions."
Alfred grew red in the face; the crew was always saying that he talked to fast sometimes. Giving a nod the medic waited as Barnabus removed his hand from his mouth and gave him a grin. "Sorry about that captain." Alfred spoke. "I was just worried. With what happened to you and all."
"Don't worry I get it kid." Barnabus gave a yawn and stretched. When he did he noticed that he had somehow been stripped down to his underwear in-between coming on board and waking up, his bright yellow ducky boxers and ratty yellowed tank top proudly displayed for anyone to see. "Um... Why am I in my skivvies?"
"Oh, we had to undress you so that I could do a thorough investigation." The younger man explained. "Moah had a heck of a time getting your boots off. Said something about building an electronic super shoehorn after he finished." There was a small pause as Alfred pointed to a chair across the room. "Your clothes are all over there if you want to get dressed."
"Thanks." Sitting up and sliding off of the bed Barnabus wobbled for a moment then went over to the chair and began to dress. "So doctor you figure out whatever the hell was wrong with me down on the planet?" He asked as he hopped/slipped into his cargo pants. "I don't feel any more pain in my chest so I assume you solved the problem."
"Actually... no." Alfred picked up the papers he had dropped when he first saw that the captain was awake. "I did blood tests, x-rays, and even a CAT scan. But I found nothing wrong with you. It's strange."
Barnabus glanced over to his crewmember with confusion. Usually Alfred could find out and fix whatever was wrong with you. Be it a simple cold or a sprained leg. For him to actually be stumped by something was a bit unnerving. Becoming serious for a moment Barnabus asked. "So, what do you want to do about the pain I felt then?"
The blond seemed to mull over the question for a few moments before speaking. "I'll keep running tests ti see if there's something I missed. But I think you should see one of the doctors back at the Jack centers when we get back to the colony. They have better equipment that will find the problem if I don't"
Barnabus gave a groan, he hated going to the doctors that worked for the U.I.G. they always poked him with a thousand needles and questioned him about every man he had slept with since his last physical. "You really think I need to see one of them doc?" He gave Alfred a hopeful expression praying desperately that he would change his mind. When all Barnabus received for his question was a small nod the bearded man let out a huff. "Alright fine." Fully dressed Barnabus turned to leave the sick bay, but before he did he turned around. "Heya Alfred?"
Alfred peered up from his paperwork. "Yes Captain?"
"When we get all the money from this job the first thing I'm buying for you is a whole new sick bay! All new equipment, stethoscopes, everything." Barnabus said striking a pose and pointing at the younger man. When he got a smile for his silly pose the older man laughed back. "That way next time I get sick you can patch me up right here no problems."
***************
A happy sounding humming rang out through the large cargo hold of the Wild Comet as it traveled through hyperspace. Its source, a smiling and jolly looking Moah was gleefully making his way through the room, a large box filled to the brim with computer components in his clawed hands. Despite the unpleasantness of their daring rescue of their captain and pilot the Girunjh had to admit that he had had a good time on their little visit to Verdomo. He had gotten to explore an old abandoned outpost, collect lots of new and interesting parts for future experiments, and to top it off he actually got to fly the ship when they picked up Barnabus and Rana. The only thing that could have made it better was maybe getting a chance to meet one of those green aliens that lived on the planet. The female ones were a little cute in the big man's opinion. Their curves and sturdy bodies reminding him of the women from his own home world
But of course he knew none of them would have been interested in talking to him. Not many did because of his perceived... oddness. The only people who did were his friends and he was happy enough with just that. Walking behind a row of shelves and over to where him and Alfred had been watching some dumb movies Moah had to do a double take as the prone form of a man caught his attention. "Dufuu nosai?" He said confused.
Placing down the box of junk in his paws the mechanic went over to the person lying on the cargo bay floor and squatted down. Looking their new guest over he realized that it was one of those Verdomians they had just escaped from. This certainly was lucky! He could finally get to talk to one of them. Poking the unconscious red haired orc in the cheek with his clawed index finger a few times Moah said a gruff. "Pooka" trying to wake him up. When that didn't he went around the man, squatted down again and tried the other cheek. But still he didn't get any response. Pursing his lips together now, not liking that there was something that he was failing at Moah thought for several seconds on what he should do. Finally with a bright expression he exclaimed "Tuzaruu!" And pinched the Verdomian's nose shut with his fingers. This should do the trick.
{Miktes: Ugh, I hate dreams. The weird ones are the worst. Once I dreamt that I was getting chased by a heard of Bahjack who were laughing at me as they chased me down. 'Nother time I had a dream where I was having sex with a bunch of submissives and halfway through it they all turned into monsters and ate me. I still shudder a little at that thought. But I gotta say the dream I'm having right now is the strangest thing I've ever seen. I'm standing in the middle of some weird metal hallway and for some reason I'm scared. I look to the right and then to the left seeing that there are other people around me moaning and crying. They all look like shit, bleeding and cut up. Suddenly there's a banging from behind us and we all scream. I turn around and raise what looks like a piece of strange metal and slowly back away as a door behind us rattles from something large striking it on the other side. I shout telling someone to call... to call something called a captain. Too bad that whatever it is doesn't come fast enough, because as soon as I finish asking the door bursts open and a monster in black armor rushes at me its fangs barred. But instead of eating me the creature stops dead in in tracks in front of me. I slowly look up to it my eyes coming face to face with something that looks like a lizard with a strange snout. Suddenly it cries out, "Tuzaruu" and pinches my nose between its fingers.}
Coming back to the land of the waking with a snort Miktes slapped the hairy hand restricting his nasal airways and sat straight up with a growl, his eyes snapping open. "Who the fuck is messing around with my...." Looking around himself as he shouted Miktes turned to his left and was shocked to see a large hairy creature sitting on its haunches next to him. Whatever it was it grinned at him and gave him a small wave, muttering a word that he didn't understand.
Now usually being the "brave warrior" that he was Miktes would have remained calm as the beast loomed over him. But he must have been having a bad day because when the creature stopped speaking all the Verdomian could do was let out an unmanly scream and scramble away from the creature as fast as his feet and hands could carry him. In his blind panic Miktes failed to notice what was behind him until it was too late, the warrior crashing into the shelving on a far wall and dislodging an empty box which fell on top of his head, cloaking his vision in darkness.
Watching the silly antics of the green skin man in front of him, Moah let out a deep baritone chuckle. This guy certainly is a lively one, he thought. Standing up the hairy alien lumbered over to the orc and lifted the box which had fallen on his head off of him. "Justey rasha?" He asked, trying to see if he was alright.
Miktes blinked up at the monster above him for a few moments then, acting fast he swept his right leg out trying to trip him. Unfortunately the beast was just as quick as him giving a small hop before Miktes could strike and avoiding his attack entirely. 'Think you're smart, huh?' Miktes thought bitterly. 'Let's see how you like this!' Drawing his fist back the Verdomian tried again, this time hitting the monster in his doughy stomach with a hard right hook. Again though Miktes' actions didn't have the desired effect.
Moah let out another laugh as the orcs fist made contact with his belly and sank into the layer of soft fat under his fur. He had always been a ticklish man. Reaching down the Girunjh took his new friend by waist and lifted him into a standing position. "Gusha nosalle guyto jippy futoo!" He said holding out his hand for the Verdomian to take. It wasn't something he usually did, it being impersonal. But the hairy man remembered what Barnabus had said about hugging people.
Miktes stated down at the paw of the creature in front of him. What the hell was wrong with him? 'It must be a trick.' he reasoned. Trying to make me let down my guard so that he can kill and eat me. Looking past the monster the warrior saw an open entryway behind him. Miktes usually wouldn't run away from a fight but the beast had deflected all of his attacks. Maybe he could find a weapon in the other room and come back to kill the hairy thing.
Tilting his head at not knowing why the Verdomian hadn't taken his hand yet, Moah was about to ask what was wrong. But before he could the orc let out a growl and sprinted around him, bare feet slapping against the cargo bay's metal floor as he ran through the cargo bay and out of the door into the hallway. Well that was rude, Moah thought. Shrugging his shoulders the mechanic went over to the com device on the wall and hit the on button. Maybe Barnabus would know why their guest was acting so weird.
Meanwhile while Moah was calling for reinforcements a panicking Miktes was wondering through the hallway just outside of the room he had just escaped from. Where was he? What was that thing back there? Why hadn't the guards found and entered the building. Looking at his surroundings he was once again confused by the sights of all the blinking lights, metal objects, and closed doors around him. Whatever this strange building he had sneaked into was it was amazing. But as wondrous as this place was, he knew that there were more important things to attend to. Like his mate. He had to find that strange hairy skinned creature and take him back to the temple, by force if he had to.
"But where is he?" Miktes asked himself out loud. Scenting the air the warrior picked up traces of his new mate. This had to be where he lived. Maybe they could move the building into the village after they consummated their union and show off the amazing new property he now owned. Dropping onto all fours like an animal Miktes began following a trail of scent that the creature had left.
Eventually the trail led him to a strange indent in the wall with a crack running through it. "Can he go through wall or something?" He wondered.
Standing up he pressed his palm flat against the cold metal. Magically the wall split apart and losing his balance Miktes fell forward and into a new room which clashed with the corridor he was just in. giving a growl the Verdomian regained his balance and stood up straight, vision darting across the area he found himself in. The room was strange with brightly colored walls. There was some sort of fabric on the floor which tickled Miktes feet as he walked further into the space. Hanging from the wall were a verity of images. Most of them were of smiling faces, one of them being the hairy monster that had awakened him a few moments ago. Still other images were of strange creatures which from what Miktes could understand were not wearing clothing.
"Weird." Miktes mumbled. Taking in a deep breath the warrior realized that somehow he had found his new mates sleeping chambers. The whole place reeked of the creatures sent, continuing to sniff Miktes walked over to a raised platform against the far wall of the room. Climbing on top of it Miktes was surprised to find out that it was as soft as feathers. 'This has gotta be where he sleeps at night.' Miktes reasoned. Giving into an urge the Verdomian pressed his face against the soft surface, inhaling deeply and becoming more and more aroused as he did. Oh, the things he was going to do to the artifact thief on top of this bed.

"And Alfred really can't find out what happened to you down on Verdomo?" Rana asked. Turing away from the wild comet's flight controls the dark haired woman shifted in her seat to look at her captain.
Barnabus picked up his favorite "I heart beer guts" mug and pored himself a cup of steaming coffee from the small pot they always kept in the cockpit for emergencies. "I know the kid usually can fix everything when it comes to patching us up." he said turning back to her. "And if he doesn't find out by the time we get back home he's sending me to one of the center doctors." Barnabus shuddered.
"It won't be that bad Comet." Rana snickered. "After all I'm sure they'll want to get you out of there as fast as possible. Especially after the last time you dripped by."
"You promised you'd never bring that up again!" The middle aged man huffed with a red face. The last time he had the misfortune of having to go to a doctor it had been because of an incident involving a horse-like alien he had slept with. Having to get his subscription for ointment filled had been embarrassing. Pushing away thoughts of doctors and large packages Barnabus sat down in the copilot's chair. "So where did you stash away that ugly rock we picked up from the Verdomians?"
Rana nudged her head towards the common room. "I put it in the safe." She informed him. "Thought it was better than having to look at the dam thing all trip."
After taking a long sip from his coffee Barnabus made a humming sound. "Good. I'll be happy to hand it back to Professor Tworows and get our money." Growing more relaxed as the coffee began to work its magic the Jack captain began leaning back in his chair. But before he could fully recline the screen on the com device next to the cockpit suddenly turned on and Moah's cheery face came up, the bearman shouting a happy, "BARNABUS!" as he saw the human sitting in his usual spot.
Rana had to lean back as Barnabus let out a yelp and almost spilled his drink on her as he reacted to Moah's loud greeting. "Watch it!" She warned him. "We don't need you frying the controls again."
Barnabus frowned at his second for a second then turned to the com device screen. "Heya Moah, what's up?" Acting casual Moah began saying something while making various hand gestures. It wasn't until he said a word that Barnabus recognized that the he interrupted his hairy friend. "Wait, wait, wait! Did you say intruder?"
"You understood that?" Rana asked from behind him.
Barnabus nodded to her question but didn't turn away from Moah. "Please don't tell me it's an animal or something." He asked. Moah shook his head now and said the Girunjh word for no. a creeping feeling began to settle in Barnabus' stomach. "It's one of the Verdomians isn't it?" Moan nodded again and touched the hair on his head while holding up a red colored pipe. "He had red hair?" Another nod.
'Crap, it must be that one I ran into back at the temple.' Barnabus groaned and handed his mug to Rana the as he stood up. "I'll be right back ok?" He told her. "I got to handle something apparently."
"You going to need any help?" Rana wondered with a touch of concern. She knew Barnabus could usually handle himself, but with his mysterious illness and the fact with how big and strong looking the Verdomians were she wasn't sure he should go alone.
Barnabus waved her concern off with little thought. "I don't think so. The poor savage is probably pissing his loincloth scared out of his mind by now." He said. "It'll be easy to take him out with my weapon." leaving the cockpit Barnabus looked up, saying. "Computer: Tell me where the intruder that was in the cargo hold is right now!"
There was a few seconds of static before the ship responded to its captain. "That little doggy has himself held up in your own bunkhouse Cap'n!" The AI answered in its Texan drawl.
"God I hate that thing." Barnabus moaned into his open hands. The second thing they were doing, after getting a new sick bay, was getting a brand new ship's Ai. One with a gruff and sex voice that he could make say dirty things when he was feeling randy. "Computer: What do you mean by bunkhouse?" He sighed.
"Tatnation!" The computed shouted. "Don't you understand how to speak English proper-like partner? Ah was gabbing about the place where you hang up your hat and get some shut eye."
"Ah, my bedroom." Barnabus said finally understanding. "Of course the Verdomian would go into my bedroom." walking through the common room and up a flight of stairs Barnabus came out into the hallway which led to his, Rana's, and Alfred's personal quarters. Peeking into the cargo bay he saw that Moah was still inside sorting through boxes. "Hey Moah, you alright by the way?"
Not taking his attention off of his work Moah held up his right hand and gave a thumbs up. "Yaggho."
"Great, um..." Barnabus felt a little wimpy for asking this. "..If you hear me shout or something could you come to my room and help me with something?" When he got another yes in response the Jack captain continued on his way to his room and opened his door. Peering inside he was immediately presented by the sight of a Verdomians black shorts clad bottom as it wagged in the air.
Not paying attention to the swoosh of the doors closeting behind him Barnabus slowly walked further into his room. 'What the hell is he doing?' he asked himself confused. The green skinned orc was on all fours on his bed sniffing at his blankets. 'Must not have a lot of hobbies down on Verdomo.' realizing that he was staring at the orcs ass Barnabus shook his head to gather his thoughts. 'Guess I better let him know I'm here. Better then sneaking up on him.'
That smell... what was it about this smell, Miktes wondered. For some reason it tickled his nose and made a fire ignite in his belly. 'It's gotta be because that creature's my mate now.' He reasoned. The warrior had seen other Verdomians react the way he was to their mates scents. At the time he had thought them weak to get so turned on by the simple smell, but now he understood. It was so heady, so incredibly mind numbingly appetizing. He wanted more, craved more, needed more.
Someone clearing his throat behind him cause Miktes to stop in his sniffing and look over his shoulder. Standing in the middle of the room was his mate! Getting off of the bed and standing up Miktes looked the thief over. He noticed that the whatever it was, was shorter to him. It's hairy head only coming up to his nose he guessed. So obviously, in his mind that made it a submissive. That would make things a lot easier. Miktes didn't want to waste time fighting with another dominate for dominance. He wanted to get right to the fun part of their newly formed bound.
With a lustful growl Miktes began to walk slowly towards his new mate. "You know I had to go through a lot of trouble to find you... you whatever you are." he said. "But I've found ya at last you little submissive."
Barnabus blinked in surprise as the Verdomian suddenly spoke to him in English. None of the others down on the planet had spoken it. Whatever the reason Barnabus knew that he had to try and convince their stowaway to remain calm so that they could turn the ship around and return him home without any fighting. "Ok big guy." He started in the same tone one would use when talking to a child. "Now just calm down and come with me. There's a nice broom closet I know you'd just love to stay in."
Miktes squinted as the creature made a series of strange noises while walking towards him slowly. Maybe it couldn't talk. If that was true then there would defiantly be a problem. Then again maybe it wouldn't be. Having a mate who couldn't argue with him might be nice. He'd never be able to tell him no when he took him to bed. And speaking of that, they needed to consummate their bounding. "Enough!" Miktes commanded with a shout. The creature took a step back and stared at him wide eyed. "Stop making all those noises and start taking off those strange clothes right now. I want to see what I've got to work with over there."
Barnabus' face turned beat red at the blunt command. As if he would actually strip down naked for some strange alien who ransacked through his room and tore up his sheets. "Look I don't know who you think you are Mr. Green but I'm keeping my clothes on!" He shouted at the Verdomian.
"More of that funny noise." Miktes harrumphed. Obviously the creature was stupid too. "Guess I'll just have to get you naked myself." With his usual gracefulness the warrior stomped over to his new mate, coming to a stop right in front of it as it stared up at him in fear, and tried taking off the padded thing over his chest.
It only took Barnabus a few moments to realize what the alien was doing and when he did he slapped the brute's four fingered hands off of his vest. "Heya what the hell do you think you're doing?" He said hopping out of his reach.
"Stop fighting!" Miktes growled. It seemed that he'd have to teach this little thing some manners if they were going to get along. "Now listen, you whatever you are. You're going to stop being a bad boy or girl and be a good submissive and let me see you. I'm the dominate here and I want you naked so that I can fuck you the living hell out of you!"
At the phrase "Bad boy" Barnabus begun to grow angry. That was the same thing Ekkar would say to him whenever he didn't do as the dragon wanted. When the Verdomian brought up that he wanted to have sex with him the last straw broke. This big olive colored thug was trying to get him into bed. Raising his fists Barnabus got ready to hit the other man. "Ok loincloth boy, knock off trying to undress and screw me and come along peacefully before I make you come."
This wasn't the reaction he wanted from his new mate, Miktes thought. The hairy little thing actually looked like he wanted to hit him. That wasn't how a submissive should act he should do as he said get on all fours and present. Getting tired of having to wait Miktes tried undressing his mate again while saying. "I swear if this is how you're going to be every time I wanna fuck then I'm just going to have to tire you to the bed or something." He joked.
Barnabus on the other hand took it as a serious threat and drew his fist back and took a swing. The Verdomian saw his fist coming and ducked just in the nick of time, ducking out of the way with a surprised look on his grumpy looking face. "Back off." Barnabus warned. "I'm. Not. Taking. My. Clothes. Off."
"Bastard." Miktes cursed. "Just who do you think you are doing that?" He asked angrily. The red head quickly got an answer of sorts when another fist was thrown at him, this one hitting his left cheek and sending him staggering back. "Hey!" another fist hurtled at him this one hitting him dead center in the face. "You fucking little!" it was then that a knee found its way to his balls, making the proud warrior whimper and grab his crouch as he hissed in pain.
Miktes couldn't believe it his mate was actually trying to fight him. He was the first born of the Hestry clan. It didn't matter if this creature was his mate or not. No one attacked him and walked away without a bunch of new bruises. Standing up straight and raising his fists Miktes let out a low growl. "Ok, you hairy little thief if you wanna fight then I'll be happy to knock you flat on your ass."
"Oh yeah?" Barnabus taunted. "Let's see you try!" Rushing forward the Jack quickly crouched down and swung upward as if to deliver an uppercut to the underside of the Verdomian's green jaw. Acting like he had predicted the alien took a step backwards, looking down so that he wouldn't be struck. Seeing the opening he had made for himself Barnabus grabbed the orc by the back of the head and brought his knee up to meet their stowaways face, in a crushing blow.
Miktes gave a frustrated roar as he stumble back and rubbed his now throbbing face. The creature had moved faster then he thought he could and taken him completely off guard. "I'll make you sorry you did that." He shouted, looking up into the smirking face of his opponent. Growing red faced and loosening his temper Miktes leapt forward and launched a clumsy fist at his disobedient mate's general trying to strike him across the face. Unfortunately for Miktes his attack missed its mark entirely, his mate sidestepping him as if he had been standing still and grabbing his forearm. "L-Let go!" The surprised warrior shouted.
"Uh-uh." Barnabus replied to the alien's demand. Using his attacker's momentum against him the bearded human moved forwards, hands still griped around a large green arm, and kicked the Verdomian's left foot out from under him. Then using all his strength he twisted his victims arm backwards and effectively flipped the large intruder head over heels and onto the floor.
"Ugh." Miktes moaned as his head spun and the pain from his fall coursed through his body. What was up with this creature, how could it best him so easily? Sitting up Miktes gave his mate a venomous glare. "Why are you fighting me so hard?" He asked through gritted teeth. "You are my mate! You have to feel it deep down in your chest. You must have felt the separation pains when you ran; if we keep fighting they may return. We are to be one which means you listen to me!"
Barnabus gave the alien a look of understanding. If what he were saying was true then that meant that they had found the explanation for the pain in his chest. "Heya buddy can you repeat what you just said." He asked the Verdomian.
"Stop making noises at me!" Miktes said pounding the floor with his legs and fists. He was really starting to get pissed off with all this stupid fighting. They should be in bed by now, rutting and forming their soul-bound not hitting each other.
Watching the other man devolve into a childish temper tantrum Barnabus rolled his eyes and relaxed his position. Obviously he couldn't get through to this primitive. Taking his mulitool out of his pocket he cocked it, charging the laser. "Ok, Mr. Green I'm sorry but I really have to knock you out right now." Aiming Barnabus watched as the orc frowned at him and began to stand back up. Before he could however the human fired, his shot striking the Verdomian in the chest and knocking him back down, a grunt flying out of his mouth as he lost consciousness.
Holstering his weapon Barnabus walked over to the sleeping man and kicked him lightly with the toes of his booted head. When the olive skinned man didn't respond he breathed a sigh of relief and went over to the communication device on the wall. Hitting it he waited for Alfred's face to appear. "Hey doc, I think I found something for you to look at in your lab."
"What's that captain?" The blond asked. Barnabus answered by stepping aside and flourishing to the out cold orc on his bedroom floor. Blinking at the sight for a few moments Alfred began to grow excited and actually giggled. "WOW!" the medic said with a large smile.
