Introduction

Vaz, every so often, glances down at the stub he pulled off of the flier at the college café. It reads as follows:

--

WHO? Whoever wants to have some fun!

WHAT? Campout! Maybe some spin the bottle =P

WHEN? Friday, July 25th

WHERE? Yacolt Forest, Washington Mountains, campsite 104

WHY? Do I really need to ask?

--

"Hey Kael?" asks the huge fluffy white polar bear in the back seat of Kael's truck as he leans forward, resting his head on the top of the driver's seat.

The colt, now feeling the hot breath from the polar bear in his right ear, turns to meet his eyes, "Can I help you?"

The polar bear -- who was made to sit in the back seat because of his size -- glances at the napping seal sitting up front in the passenger seat to make sure he was still sleeping, and then whispers in the colt's ear, "Umm...are there going to be any girls there?"

The colt chuckles, "I sure hope so...I only saw 6 stubs taken off the flier for the campout. I'm sure there'll be at least a couple." Kael pats the top of Vaz's head. "I've never played spin the bottle before, but I'm sure we'll both have a blast. Now sit back, we're almost there."

High up in the cascades, deep in the Yacolt Forest, Kael and his two friends drive to meet some others for a weekend of camping. The winding roads make for a long drive, but the scenic landscape around them keeps them lost in time. There's a lake right next to the campsite, so Kael decided to bring his ski-boat along. A dirt road is coming up to the left and a sign is there, confirming that they've reached their destination. Kael pulls off the main road and on to the narrow red dirt road. The road was quite bumpy and has awoken Si-Ja from his nap.

"Wow, the trees are denser here than I imagined," says the seal in a half yawn.

"It's something ain't it?" says the colt in his deep Texan accent. "All we got is yellow pine trees, and they ain't near as tall as these here."

"I thought you said everything was bigger in Texas Kael?" says a witty Si-Ja.

"Oh, you know that's true," Kael exclaims as he grabs his manhood and adjusts it. Si-Ja laughs and so does Vaz.

"I wish you'd quit flaunting it around in the bathroom though," says Vaz, jokingly, from the backseat.

"I'm not 'flaunting' it around!" Kael yells, "It's hard to get it out of my pants sometimes, so it kind of...flops out..." the colt blushes.

"Hey...I don't have a problem with you 'flaunting' it around." Si-Ja nudges Kael with his elbow.

"Well I know you don't," Kael laughs. "Oh hey, there's campsite 104."

The colt pulls the truck in to the campsite next to the tents that have already been set up. It's just about dark and there is a fire lit. The others are sitting on some tree stumps surrounding the fire. Kael puts the truck in park, but suddenly remembers his boat.

"Hey guys, I'm gonna put my boat in the water while I can still see, I'll tie it up by the dock next to our campsite. I'll be back in a bit."

Vaz and SI-Ja nod and make their way to the campfire as Kael drives off towards the unloading ramp. All four of the others by the fire are now staring at the two walking towards them. For a moment, no one says anything, but Vaz breaks the silence and waves to the others.

"Hey guys, I'm Vaz and this here is Si-Ja. Kael left to put his boat in the water, he'll be back shortly."

The beautifly with the micro naga sitting on his shoulder is the first to say anything. "Hey there! I'm Bradford, and this is Cyrus."

"It'sss Niccce to meet you..." says Cyrus, flicking his tongue as he speaks.

Bradford pats the empty spot on the log next to him and motions them to sit down.

Si-Ja sits on a separate log next to them and sets his guitar down behind himself as Vaz plops down on the same log as Bradford, bouncing him up a few inches off his seat to land back down roughly on it. Cyrus wraps his tail around the beautifly to avoid falling off. They both look at Vaz and raise their eyebrows.

Vaz's eyes widen, realizing what happened, he turns to them, "Sorry..." he said, a bit embarrassed.

They both giggle and two other laughs are heard across from the fire; one belonging to a short female sand cat and the other, to a tall female hyena.

"And just who are these lovely creatures?" Vaz looks at the two females and they both blush and smile shyly.

The hyena speaks up with her soft African accent, "My name is Khari and this little one is Nikky."

Nikky glares back at the hyena and tries to look as stern as possible, but still, unintentionally manages to look cute while doing it, "I am not little! I am very proportionate to my size and age for my species according to the latest research."

Khari giggles and shakes her head. Just then, the colt pulls his boat up to the dock, ties it off, and starts to walk towards the group.

"Howdy!" Kael says in his deep southern drawl when he reaches the circle, then sits down in between Vaz and Si-Ja, "We gonna get this party started or what?"

Vaz takes his huge paw and places it on Kael's shoulder, "Absolutely!" The polar bear gets up to spin the bottle for the first time. This catches everyone by surprise, not expecting the game of Spin the Bottle to start so soon.
