Chapter I: Time
Small footsteps could be heard along the grass. A small Pokemon, a Riolu looked along the distance of a large grassy field. "I...Who am I...?" The small Pokemon looked to himself, pondering what he was. "...what am I?" Another voice came from behind, slightly deeper. "You...forgot? Don't tell me you don't who you are?" The Riolu looked behind to see another Pokemon, though much bigger in size yet seemed the same as him. "Well, what's my name?" Riolu tilted his head as he walked up closer, looking up to the larger Pokemon. "...Ah...?" The other shook his head and rubbed his chin. "Heh...so clueless." The tall male kneeled down and smirked. "For starters...my name is Lucian. I am a Lucario. And you, you're a Riolu. But don't worry, if you train hard enough, you'll evolve. Basically...you'll become like what I am." Lucian smiled softly as he rubbed the Riolu's head. The Pokemon looked down at his fists and clenched it hard. "I...am a Riolu?" Lucian nodded and stood up "That's right...your memory should return sometime. I'm...sure you'll remember your name."
Riolu looked up towards Lucian and nodded. "Okay...then i'll...train?" Lucian raised a brow and turned around to face the other Pokemon. He nodded and crossed his arms "Yeah. Fight other Pokemon, or...you could spar with me sometime. But..." He jabbed his finger lightly on the younger male's forehead, leaving a light mark. Riolu winced and rubbed along his head "O-ow!" Lucian chuckled and turned around to walk off along the hill. "You're alittle too weak to fight me at this time. You'll remember though..." Riolu looked around before walking a short distance and stopping in place. "...Remember? Did something happen to me? Who is he? Why do I...feel like I know him?"
. . . . . .
"It's been around a week now and he hasn't shown any signs of remembering who he is...or who I am. We've been on our own ever since we escaped from "them". I'm barely finding food for us both, if we keep this up we may be captu-...No. I have to stay strong for him. I will not allow myself to succumb. I'll stay strong for him..."
Lucian scritched in his diary as he hid it underneath one of his books in his room. He sighed and layed down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. "We may be captured soon...there's no use in hiding it. We can't stay in this abandoned house for too long...and him..." Lucian slowly shut his eyes as he dozed off to sleep.
"Um...hello?" A voice echoed in the back of Lucian's mind. He slowly opened his eyes before staring at the young Riolu who was on top of him. "What...? Ah?! H-hey!" Lucian quickly grabbed the Pokemon and set him down on his bed. He then snorted and crossed his arms as he turned away, a small blush forming on his cheeks. Riolu looked up to Lucian with a tilt of his head "I-I'm sorry did I...do something wrong?" Lucian rubbed the bridge between his eyes. "No no it's just...you're naked... it's alittle different then what i'm used to." Riolu blinked and looked down to his nude self, blushing and soon realizing it. "O-oh! But...you are too...aren't you?" Lucian chuckled and stood up, ruffling the boy's head as he walked off. "We were...usually nude at the time. But...well we developed characteristics and mannerisms now...at least some of us." Lucian turned to the boy as he listened to him like that of a child to an older sibling.
Lucian shook his head and gave a light smile. "I'll find us some food. Why don't you rest here?" Riolu nodded as he sat on the surprisingly still soft bed. "...Why is he being so nice to me?" he blinked and noticed a book unlike the others. He opened it and looked through it's contents before shaking his head. "I can't read any of this..." He pondered himself before clutching his head hard. "Nngh...! What is Team Galactic...? What happened there...?" Riolu fell to his knees before coming back to reality as he heard a voice. "Hey. Hey!" The young one stood up and looked to the hallway. Lucian then walked by before looking to the Riolu, he smiled some. "Oh, I was about to get you. I made breakfast already. Stealing a few Pidgey eggs was worth it. C'mon." Lucian turned around to walk as Riolu looked down then ran after the other.
In the living room was quite messy but still useable with various furnature. Lucian sat down along the chairs, setting the plates of eggs down on the table. The kitchen utensiles still seemed usable, however the oven and such were completely inactive due to no electricity. Riolu sat down across Lucian as he looked to the plate of food. Lucian chuckled and handed the other a fork. "They aren't Spearow eggs, but they're delicious still." Riolu took the fork a he tilted his head. Lucian looked to the troubled Pokemon as he couldnt help but laugh. "Ahaha! You use that to eat. It's more formal. Here, like this." He set the fork in the Riolu's hand properly before piercing through one of the egg whites. "Now say aah. Like this." He opened his own mouth to let Riolu copy, sliding the food inside the Pokemon's mouth and swallowing. However, Riolu set his hand along Lucian's cheek before leaning in close. Lucian blinked at this before he was suddenly kissed upon the lips by the younger Pokemon. The eldest dropped the fork before pulling away, hiding his blush. "A-ah...mm...lets just...finish our food before it get's cold..." Riolu tilted his head at this yet wagged his tail.
. . . . . .
After breakfast the two went outside of the old house, the morning sky was brightly colored blue as small bird Pokemon could be seen flying high afar. Lucian stretched and looked down to the Riolu. "Now that we have energy, i'm gonna go scout around to see if uh...if any bad guys are around." At that very moment, Lucian blinked as the Riolu moved his arm aside, stopping the Pokemon. Riolu pointed towards the east as his eyes glowed golden. "There is...something coming this way."Lucian jerked his head to the left as he looked among the hills. "What...!? How could I have not sensed that!?" He averted his eye to the Riolu before back to the object. "Hm...is his aura stronger then mine...?" He chuckled before moving forward. "Stay behind me little one. I don't want to see you hurt."
Just then, a creature seemed to zoom past them both, time seemed to stop at the moment as Lucian managed to get a glimpse of the Pokemon. It's face hidden behind a helmet, turning its head gently to view the two before flying past them with such force. Lucian extended his arm towards the racing Pokemon before he stopped, exhaling. "...What on earth...? It was so fast I...I couldn't even see it. But it's power...it was overwhelming..." Riolu grasped Lucian's leg as thi knocked the Pokemon back to his senses and looked down. "Mm? Oh, right. Listen little one, i'll be back in a few. I have to make sure ...uh....that we aren't taken to that bad place again." With that, Lucian raced off along the hills as Riolu watched him. He looked away back to the house with a tilt of his head. "...Bad place...? I don't understand..."
Riolu had millions of thoughts in his head, unsure of his origin, faintly remembering fragments of his past. It's almost as if there was a complete blank spot before he met Lucian. The Pokemon sat down in Lucian's room and thought for a moment. "Why can't I remember...? It hurts so much when I do..." the Riolu boy then remembered about the book Lucian kept behind the others. He reached over for it and opened it once again to the first page. "......I...I can...I can read this now!" The boy grew very curious as to what the book contained. "Day one..." He read out loud, peeking through the hallway in case he heard the older Pokemon's return.
