You'll never know dear....
For those of you, who like me have been through withdrawal, you know how hard it can be to face reality, and what lies in our own minds at times. I
As it is, its not easy. If you've never had these symptoms, you'll never know how scary the ordeal can be. It's amazing what a simple touch, or a simple song can do.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine...."
The tenor voice was soft, and soothing, it gently lulled him as his life spun further into hell...
He was trapped. Solid concrete walls on both sides of him. His breath came to him in sharp painful gasps. He'd been running from the demon for miles. His hooves hurt from running across the painful rocks on the tundra outside. The heat inside the volcano was stifling.
"Ben? Do you want some soda?"
The demon crawled closer. The heat of its breath pounded on Ben's nose, he could feel the piercing hot spittle as it's open maw loomed closer to his head.
Cold. Pure cold. A cloth across his face. Water droplets slid down his cheek and began to soak into the pillow. He'd been sweating. The stench of horse filled the small guest bedroom in the apartment he shared with his mate.
His mate. Matt. The one with the cold cloth. He opened his crusty eye and saw mat looking down at him, a concerned look on his face.
"That's it Ben, it's ok, I'm here....." The other equine stroked his black cheek with the soaked cloth, soothing his hot fur and skin. Slowly Matt pulled the blankets down and began rubbing Ben down. The cold cloth felt like knives on his hot skin. He tried to push the thoughts away.
Matt sang soothingly....."You make me happy when skies are gray, you'll never know dear, how much I love you...."
The knives weren't cutting into him. They weren't there to flay his skin alive. He screamed and forced his eyes open. Matt was stroking his mane and holding him.
"It's ok love, its the dreams is all. The doctor said you'd go through this." Matt had tears in his eyes. Ben looked at him. Cold cloth. He remembered a cold cloth, and the cold on his skin. Tears came to his own eyes. "Make it stop Matt, please, anything, make it stop!" Ben began to sob, his leg aching sharply where the break had healed just enough.
Just enough for the doctors to ease his doses of painkillers down. Doses of narcotic pain killers. Morphine, Dilaudid, and others. The surgery had been a success. He'd recover, but it would take time. Those medications, designed to make him comfortable, but not able to live a normal productive life. They had to ease him off of the medications now. He'd been on them for far too long. The last thing they wanted, any of them, Ben included, was for Ben to turn into an addict.
"Matt please....make it...make it stop" Ben sobbed. He looked up. The Palomino stared down lovingly at his mate. "I',m sorry Matt, you know I can't. Here...take some sips..."
He held out the cup. Ben slowly sipped at the contents. The carbonation cleared some of the funky taste from his mouth. He slowly closed his eyes and drifted off again.
Pain lanced his leg. Ben was fighting his foe, harshly in the hot cavern. He had swung and missed his mark, but the foe's broadsword had hit true. The bull smiled evilly as he raked the sword across the thin flesh of his equine shin. Ben screamed shrilly. He picked up his battleaxe and swung.
"FUCK!" The bull roared. Pain lanced again as Matt flailed on the ground trying to stand up. Suddenly he was drenched. He spluttered. He sat in bed, his crutch in one hand, his bed soaked. Matt stood to the side, blood flowing freely from his nose, an empty and dripping huge soda mug in his paw.
"Oh God!" Ben sobbed. Tears came to his eyes. He groggily shook away the visions of the bull and winced at the horrible pain of a sword tearing through flesh - no - he looked down. He'd worked the brace half off in his sleep. That was probably what caused the intense pain.
Matt tore his own t-shirt off. It was mid-afternoon. The sun glinted on his brown and white chest. He put it up to his muzzle to stem the tide of blood. "I came in, you were trying to get up, and when I helped you calm down, you began to try to take your brace off, then you - hit me...." Matt muttered through the cloth stemming the tide of blood slowly. In all their years together, Ben had never raised a fist, let alone his voice to his lover, his mate.
Tears flowed freely down Ben's black face. "I'm sorry love, I'm, OW!" He hissed in pain as he'd tried to move. "Sorry." He worked himself into a sitting position. He fumbled with the brace to get it on tight. He didn't need it except to stand or keep his leg immobile while he slept. Since he'd started the dreams, he'd started wearing it to bed. He reached over and took Matt in his arms. The smaller Palomino chuckled. "What was I this time?"
Ben shook his broad head. "That's not funny" he scowled at the blood soaked muzzle of his lover. His brown and white fur getting caked. Matt chuckled. "Yes it is. If it isn't funny, its serious and I'd be pissed." Matt wiped the remains of the blood from his nostrils. He chuckled. Ben sighed. A bull. A big one with a sword.
Matt chuckled. "You and your fantasy novels and stories." Mat lovingly ran his fingers through Ben's tangled mane and forelock. "Hon, it will only be a few days. Remember, the doctor said to focus on the good things." Matt brushed a tear from his lover's brown eye. His black fur on his equine face was soaked again with sweat. Matt took some time softly singing to him, washing him down, making certain the brace was on good and in place properly.
Once finished Matt got an knowing look on his face. "Now you know, they said you couldn't' have sleeping pills, but we can make certain you get tired enough to go to sleep properly."
Ben's face screwed up in thought. "You're not serious are you? My leg....I can't...."
Matt bent over and pulled the coverings down, admiring his mates firm form. Poor Ben had broken his leg walking down a set of stone stairs outside of the university. Both of them were back for graduate degrees. Of course Ben was now on academic leave for his leg. He had a beautiful body though. Matt watched as he stroked his lovers body, paying particular attention to the sheath skin, and the tender leathery horse balls bellow, heavy with loads not spent these last few weeks. Slowly Ben's eyes began to close.
He lay in his camp, his assistant was washing him down. His nice muscled little quarter horse. He'd make a fine knight one day. His dainty hands wiped the blood off his arms. The scent of the wood smoke was heavy in his nostrils.
"Hey....hey!" The muscled horse slapped him slightly. Ben opened his eyes. His even more beautiful Palomino mate was atop him. "Stay awake horse, or you're going to start having hallucinations" Ben nodded. He reached out and felt the strong Palomino's chest. Matt moaned at the feeling of his lovers hands over his chest. They hadn't dared try this, since Ben broke his leg, but they needed to try to tire Ben out. Matt sighed gustily as he felt his lover caress his sheath with his muscular hands.
Ben felt his cock begin to harden and lower from his sheath. He fought against his hallucinations, and couldn't help it --- the vision of Matt began to change to one from his earlier dreams.
The young quarter horse squire was squealing in delight as he rode the knight's cock. Ben huffed out of his nose heavily as it rubbed past his the squires prostrate with each thrust. The strong knight nodded his head in pleasure again huffing deeply as he thrust over and over. The wound in his leg held closed tightly after he'd tied it shut.
"Oh yes...deeper...deeper!" The squire shouted at him. His black fur foamed with sweat. Finally he could feel his flare blossom deep inside his squire. He shouted out a feral equine call as he felt his balls churn with lust. The first and second shots of equine cum firing deep inside the youngster. He could feel his charged own cock begin to flare in his hands as he helped the youngster with his own orgasm. The knight snorted hugely as he came down off of his orgasm. His eyes began to close as he drifted off to sleep.
Ben opened his eyes for a moment, Matt was laying down next to him, cradling him softly in his arms. He saw Ben looking at him. "I love you.... my dear.....more than you'll ever know."
Slowly his eyes closed, his squire was wrapped around him, and he felt himself begin to drift to a dreamless sleep as the chestnut equine sang a strange song to him.
"Please don't take, my sunshine, away...."
The voice finished singing softly....
Matt sighed as he slid his partner out of him. Years of being together told him his mate was truly asleep now. He laid down next to the slumbering black form and took him into his arms and began to sing softly again. "You are my sunshine....."
