#1 of Tales Of Raven and Tyto

Raven the ravenbat meets Tyto, an owlcat and fun times ensue.

Also... hiya! I'm still alive! It's only been what... five years since I've submitted a story? Weird.

I'M BACK!

Light filtered down through a crack in the stone ceiling of the cave. It's faint yellow hue scattering across the small room, and bringing out a shining blue hue to the bat/raven's wings. She raised a claws hand to shield her eyes from the brightness. With a frustrated sigh she stood and shuffled across the room, hiding from the light and being careful not to make too much noise. Something about today felt off... then again most days were a little odd for Raven. Heck, most moments awake were a little strange. Lifting her nose she sniffed at the air, and upon deciding that she was alone she headed down a narrow passageway that would eventually lead her to the outside world. Sticking her head out tentatively she had to blink a few times to get the scenery to stop swirling. It wasn't that she was dizzy; she just often had to cope with feeling like she'd been dosed with acid thanks to her strange special ability. Unfortunately the more she used it, the more it affected her and after a particularly close call with a ravenously hungry large feline a few days earlier she was seeing the world quite differently. Normally she would have merely slept it off, but she was starving after being diverted from her own dinner and needed to find food.

Her ears swiveled and twitched nervously and she tapped her beak, eyes catching swirling wisps like flying insects just in her peripherals. This was a terrible idea. The worst idea.

"This is idiotic." she muttered, nearly slipping on a rock that wasn't there, then actually tripping on a real one.

She flipped forwards down the rocky hill and landed flat on her back. A frustrated 'quark' escaped her beak. "Really, really stupid." she reaffirmed. "That looks like it hurt." a masculine voice announced.

With a soft chirp Raven leapt up to her feet, and spun to find the source of the voice. This didn't seem like something her mind would make up... she hoped. She'd checked for others at the top of the hill, and hadn't heard or smelled anything unusual. Her tail and wing feathers ruffled. She could feel they were improperly aligned. There wouldn't be any graceful flying away at the moment.

"I have a knife." she warned, voice cracking. It wasn't a lie... it just wasn't attached to her hip as usual.

-I am a complete idiot- she thought as she caught the glint of the knives blade just uphill from her... er... she hoped.

"Mmmm... no." he calmly admitted, "It looks like it's closer to me."

Upon closer inspection he was right of course. She watched, ears folding back as a long-clawed cat-like paw stepped on the handle of her hunting knife. She clicked her beak while she tried to think, eyes ghosting towards the entrance to her cave. He was directly in the way of course. Not that it was actually a viable option for escape. He looked like he was only a foot taller than she was and most definitely would be able to fit in the entrance. She blinked to focus better on him. He seemed to be covered in both feathers and fur, like herself. A long, fluffy feline tail flicked behind him, but his facial features, apart from his ears, were more like that of an owl. She'd never seen an owlcat before. She wasn't even sure that they lived in the area.

"Well look at that, you're right!." she chuckled nervously. "You could totally just hand it to me and I could be on my way."

It was worth a shot.

He gave a derisive snort, and to her surprise, nudged the knife with his foot and sent it skittering down the hill towards her. "Wouldn't want a boring fight, would I?"

"I don't want to fight you..." she complained. On any other day she would confuse him and run the other direction, but that wasn't an option today.

"An easy conquest is a boring one." he hissed, stepping forward and sliding down the hill until he stood not even a foot in front of her.

Large white feathered wings unfurled, blocking any forward escape. To Raven it looked like a freak snow storm had occurred and blurred her vision. She balked and took a step backwards, her own ruffled wings spreading out in an instinctive attempt to become larger than she appeared.

Again he laughed, this time so much he felt the need to sit down on a nearby rock. He lifted a paw with the universal stop sign. "Okay. I give. I can't fight you. I'm lost."

"You're... lost...?" she growled, brow furrowing in frustration. She thought she was going to have to fight for her life, but nooooo. He was just... lost. That actually explained a few things about him.

"Mmhmm." he nodded, wings folding neatly behind him once again. "So feel free to drop your guard or whatever. You're wings are all buggered."

She scowled and started to walk up the hill back home. She was well aware already that she needed to fix her feathers, and felt like she was beyond done with this. Talking to him was not worth dinner, and she was fast running out of twilight.

"I'm Tyto." he said, he could hear him clambering after her.

"That's great." she might've cared if he hadn't just been a complete jerkbag. Even if he was a handsome jerkbag.

"I'm from the valley below."

She stopped and spun to look at him. Somehow she miraculously didn't fall over.

That did seem strange. Creatures didn't leave the valley. If anything creatures left the cold mountain to go to the valley. She narrowed her gaze, and blinked trying to focus again. She wasn't sure she believed him. Mostly those that came from the valley were looking for precious gems, strange healing herbs... or they were on the run from the law.

-Well he seems too handsome to be an outlaw. Actually that's stupid...- she thought, ears swivelling while she considered the options.

"So what are you looking for?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Uhmm... a cave. I think." he looked at his feet.

She turned again and started to walk away. "If you don't know where you're going I can't help you."

"Can I just stay with you until I figure it out?" he blurted out suddenly "I think it's close. I'm sorry. I just saw you and.... and you know the area, right? I'm just waiting for a call." he reached in his pocket and pulled out a strange piece of machinery.

"I don't know you." she hissed, stumbling into her cave entrance.

"I'm Tyto."

She splayed her ears and snickered, "Nooo, you're an idiot. Go left for gems and riches," she pointed dramatically, "or keep going up for herbs and plants. I don't need or want you here. There's no space." she lied about the space... and she could use protection, but...

Raven didn't wait for an answer. She just kept walking until she got inside the main room of her cave. Over the years she had hollowed it out to suit her needs. Benches were hewn into the walls, one in particular was draped with a large white and black flecked animal fur. She crawled onto it and lay down, finally feeling calm enough to adjust her feathers. Even if the world was pulsing and swirling in her eyes. She could hear a storm starting outside. The crack in the ceiling dripping constantly. Frowning she stood and moved a large wooden bowl beneath it, grimacing as the splatter hit her.

Almost half an hour later knock came from the hallway. "It's raining." he complained, dripping on the floor.

"I still don't know you." she growled, her fixed wings puffing out behind her as she started towards him.

"Well I know stuff. I could help you." he offered, reaching for the bag that was slung over his shoulder. "Before my Flight left me I was training to be a healer..."

He let his sentence trail off, and held the bag in one paw while he rooted through it.

Raven impatiently tapped her long talons on the floor. "How do you mean 'help'?"

He pulled a messily wrapped parcel of what looked like ordinary leaves from his bag and held it out, "Y-you hallucinate right? Your species can force hallucinations, but also suffer afterwards. I can help you. If you let me."

He paused, pushing it towards her again.

Raven nodded. Part of her felt defeated, but help was so far away most of the time. As long as he was being honest....

She motioned towards the rest of the cave and shuffled back to her bed, She settled in with a light sigh, "You're welcome to use whatever you need, Tyto."

He puttered around the kitchen section of the cave, lighting the fireplace with ease and placing a pot of water overtop. The noises seemed so comforting to Raven that at some point she drifted off. She woke to him placing a bowl and a cup by her bed.

"The rain stopped." he said, reaching down and pushing one of her nose feathers out of her eye. "I can leave now if you want me to. After all, you did mention the herbs are up the mountain, and that's what I need."

She groggily shook her head despite herself. There was something about him that made her want to know him better. It didn't help that she didn't see many other creatures her size, even if he was a little larger.

"If this thing works... I'll adventure with you." she said, lifting herself up to sit down.

His fluffy tail vibrated happily, "You will! It'll work... just don't smell it" he swung himself to sit beside her.

With a brief sidelong look at him she took a deep swig of the tonic and gagged. It tasted like skunk smelled. It was not something she would soon forget. She tried to lower the cup, but he put a paw under the bottom.

"All of it, little one."

Little one? She obeyed, then swatted the offensive cup as far away as she could. Tyto was right. It worked. It made her throat and nose burn, but her vision was steady. He gave a giggle as he watched her. It was like she was seeing for the first time. She waved her own hand in front of her face repeatedly and her eyes lit up.

"No light trails!" she exclaimed and turned to him, hugging him tightly.

He chuckled and held her, "It won't last forever." he warned.

"We... could have some fun while I..." she caught herself and let the sentence's weight hang in the air.

His already huge owlish eyes widened somehow at the insinuation. He had thought about that conquest when he'd met her but mostly he just wanted to help. She seemed like she needed it. Holding her close he couldn't deny what he wanted. If she was offering... he did have an itch that he wanted scratched.

He wasted no time and nuzzled his beak against her neck, his paws sneaking under the wraps that hid her chest and midsection, Shirts were hard to find when you had wings. It's why his own top was never covered. He unwrapped his little present and pressed her back into the soft furs, ogling her fluffy little form and dragging a paw down her side, claws hooking under the hem of her pants.

She squirmed beneath his touch, her taloned toes curling in anticipation. With practiced ease he rid her of her pants, leaving her naked before him. She looked even smaller without clothes on somehow.

With a snicker, he crawled on top of her squirming form, and pinned her arms. "You're so tiny." he murmured and nipped at her bare throat and down towards her breasts, slathering one nipple and tugging it gently with the tip of his beak.

She squealed and resisted playfully, pressing her lower half against him hungrily.

"I'll get there." he rumbled with a purr, letting her arms go and sliding further down her form, claws tracing a swirling pattern down her side and across her stomach. "if you're good." he added lazily.

"I'll be good. I'll be good." she whined almost in a whisper.

His tail flashed behind him and he lifted her lower end, suddenly, by the legs. Beak carefully dipping between them, barely making contact with her. A tentative lick grazed her sensitive parts. With such a positive reaction she gave him he almost had a hard time holding back. Almost.

With a frustrated growl he slipped out of his own pants, and pulled away from her. He shuffled and leaned over her his sharp beak knocking lightly against hers in a soft avian kiss.

"Do I need to be gentle?" he asked, lifting one of her legs and pressing the fat head of his cock against her folds, rubbing it back and forth with the textured, slightly tapered tip smearing pre to further lubricate the next step.

She shook her head, ears splaying out to the sides as she rocked her hips towards him with a soft whiney chirp. It didn't accomplish much with the way he was holding her down. He seemed to be revelling with the control he had, just as much as she enjoyed being at his mercy. He pressed into her, growling as he sank into her depths. Her sex hugged tightly around him as he suddenly jerked himself, plowing in deep and eliciting a yap of surprise from his partner.

If it was possible he would've had a sadistic grin on his face. He pulled out most of the way, grabbed onto her other leg and nearly folded her in half. Her feet dangling over his shoulders as he rocked her over and over. Thoroughly enjoying the sounds she was making at his hand, or cock, rather. He ground against her roughly, each thrust expertly grazing her sensitive button. He could feel her impossible tightness spasming around him. He was awfully close himself. After all... cats were notoriously fast and rough. He had a reputation to maintain.

"No-O-oo-O. Do-O-on't sto-OP!" she whined, paws gripping at the fur beneath her, the intonation of the words timed with his rough thrusts.

Tyto couldn't help but chuckle. He slipped in and paused. He was listening to her wishes, despite himself. He locked eyes with her and growled playfully. He was simply enjoying the feeling of her orgasm massaging his cock. A deep purr rumbled through him, and he grew bored with being still and roughly rocked against her.

She gasped.

He growled and picked up the pace, arms slipping around and down her sides to rest and grab carefully yet firmly at her bouncing breasts. Tyto was stopping for no one but himself this round.

He let out a deep snarl that seemed to shake the cave, and with it his assault became erratic. His tail flashed and flicked violently behind him as he spilled his seed deep inside her. He gave a couple extra grinds and wiggled his hips against her, his ridiculous load still leaking into her honeypot.

"I could get used to this." he grumbled, moving his paws and letting her lie in a more comfortable position.

She nodded breathlessly and reached up to him, grabbing at his chest fluff.

"There are no more light trails~" she sighed and relaxed, almost asleep again.

He chirped a laugh and rested against her carefully, slowly slipping to sleep himself.
