Growing Up Gay in High School - Book 1: Freshman Year - Chapter 4
Alright, Chapter 4 is finally here. I hope you like it. It gets pretty intense! ;) Leave comments! =)
A long time had passed since our semi-date, I guess, with me and Colin occurred. Nothing much has happened since then. We've been swamped in school and then when the weekend comes around, we're too lazy to do anything so we usually just all get on XBOX and play.
Unfortunately, homecoming was in a week and the tickets were going on sale in two days. I also, unfortunately, still don't have a date. My parents have been hounding me for the pas couple of weeks. However, since I'm not interested in girls, I'm not really giving nearly 100% effort in trying to find a date.
I walked in the hallways. Class had just ended and I had brought my books with me for my next class, so I had some time to scope around for some possible dates.
Nothing. Great. All the good looking girls are taken and, what a surprise, all the not so good looking girls weren't. I continued looking around and came across one girl. I had recognized her from my math class. Her name was Megan. She was probably the better end of all my possible choices. She was alone as well which is even better. I walked up to her.
"Hey Megan." I said.
"Uh...hey...what's up?" she said.
"Alright, this couldn't get more awkward." I thought.
"Um...I was wondering if you wanted to go to homecoming with me." I asked.
Silence. "Yeah, it got more awkward." my thoughts continued.
"Sure." she said.
I didn't process that at first quickly so I looked like an idiot just staring at her.
"Really?" I asked.
"Wait, what? Who the fuck says that? Don't question it. Be glad she said yes!" the voice inside my heard shouted.
"Yeah, sure. I think it'd be fun." she smiled.
"Alright cool. Let me get your number so we can make times for dinner and such." I said.
As we exchanged numbers discretely, the minute bell had rung. I practically sprinted to class to make sure I was there on time.
I sat in class and found out we were continuing on one of the projects we had started not too long ago. Great. This'll give me a chance to text Joe since he has lunch this hour. I had already told my group what to do so they were working on it since I made the plans. I began.
Me: Yo Joe, can you talk?
Joe: Yeah dude, what's up?
Me: I got a date for homecoming.
Joe: Yeah? Nice! Who?
Me: Megan from my math class. You've seen her.
I sat there for awhile waiting for Joe's response. Either he was trying to figure out who it was or he was laughing his ass off and telling all of his buddies. He wouldn't do that. Me and Joe go way back. We had an elementary class together but really didn't start talking till the end of 5th grade.
Once middle school started, we had some classes together and we really got to know each other. We hung out almost every day. I was able to tell him everything. Well, almost everything. I want to tell him, though. I think I will soon. He won't care.
My phone finally vibrated. I opened it up.
Joe: Yeah sorry, had to do something. But that's cool. So you want to double date?
Me: If you didn't have someone picked already...
Joe: Of course I don't.
Me: Alright, cool. So who's your date?
Joe: Her name's Ashley. You don't know her.
Me: Alright then. So what do you want to do for dinner?
Well, that turned out to be an insane conversation. We wanted to double check with our dates that what we chose was alright. Well, when both me and Joe agreed on something, one of our dates would always disagree. After going through about ten different restaurants, we finally agreed on an Italian one. It was kind of pricy as well. Of course our dates have expensive dates.
The bell had rung. Shit. I was so focused on the conversation I totally lost track of time. I looked over and saw my group was done. It looked really good. They followed my instructions to the letter. Great. This will be an easy A.
I walked out of class and went to my locker. It was finally lunch time. I met up with Luke. We started walking out, having no idea where we were going.
"So, do you have a date for homecoming?" Luke asked.
"Actually, I do. I just got one today." I replied.
"Really!? Sweet. Who?"
"Her name's Megan from my math class." I said.
"Is she hot?" he asked.
Of course he would ask that.
"I'd give her meh. Since it's really last minute, my options were pretty limited." I said.
"Yeah, dude true. Why did you wait so long?" he said, beginning to cross the street.
I paused for a second. Only for a second. It seemed a lot long than that though. Luke noticed.
"You O.K? Did I asked something wrong?" he asked with a concerned expression on his face.
I snapped out of it.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry. I just have a lot on my mind right now. And I really wasn't sure if I would want to go. My parents have been giving me non-stop pestering so I finally decided to get a date." I said, partially lying.
"Aw, dude, you definitely should go. It's your first homecoming!" he said, showing much more enthusiasm than I would ever.
"Yeah..." I said, staring off into space.
We walked into some random joint. We ordered our food and got it almost instantly. We sat down and then, as always, ate in silence.
I began to think. I thought about homecoming. I think it should be fun. However, it would be so much more fun if I went with guy. What if I went with Colin? That would be amazing....I know it's going to be grinding. The rules are much looser in terms of dancing in high school. I would love just to have Colin's arms around my waist, us moving slowly at certain points and quickly at others. I would grind my ass against his ac, hoping to feel a possible semi hard-on. It would be magical.
I then thought about the bad side of that. I thought about everyone staring at us. What would they say about us? We would be the laughing stock of the school.
"Ty? You alright? We have to get going and you've barely touched your food. You're hiding something from me. What's going on?" Luke persisted.
I still wasn't ready.
"Don't worry about it, Luke. It'll be fine. I'll tell you when I'm ready." I said.
"O.K...." he said.
Colin walked around aimlessly in the school. He was kind of down. He got a date for homecoming. He didn't want to go. A girl walked up to him and asked him. He would've felt bad if he had said no. And since the girl asked him, he kind of got guilted into going with her group of friends. Because of that now, he won't know anyone. It pretty much was adding salt to the wound. He walked into class, sighing.
The rest of the day went by normal. I saw Colin in my last class of course. It was always a pleasure to see him. He waved and I waved back. He walked up to me and I could smell the cologne he was wearing. It was, like him, amazing. I tried to not make it obvious.
"Hey Colin, what's up?" I asked, smiling.
"Nothing much dude, kind of ticked off about homecoming." he said, sighing.
"What's wrong?" I asked, curious now.
The teacher began to lecture so we had to tone it down a little bit.
"I'm going with someone who I really don't want to go with. I had my eye on someone else and before I could get the chance to ask, I got asked by some other girl." he whispered, keeping his eyes straight ahead.
I nodded.
"I see I see. Yeah, I'm pretty down about homecoming too. I really don't want to go with this girl that I'm going with." I said, also keeping my eyes ahead and now beginning to take notes.
"Yeah? Who you going with?" he asked.
"This girl Megan. She's from my math class. She's meh in terms of looks but she's pretty nice." I said.
"Ah, I see I see. Well, I do hope everything works out for you." he said.
I smiled.
"Thanks. Same to you. We should hook up at the dance." I said, kind of putting a double meaning to that statement.
"Yeah, absolutely." Colin responded, turning towards me and smiling.
The rest of the class went by slowly. The lecture wasn't that fascinating. The bell had finally rung after what seemed like an eternity.
"I'll see you later Colin, I need to get going." I said as Colin was still packing up his stuff.
"Yeah man, talk to you later." he responded, closing up his backpack and reaching for his other things.
I also needed to get out of there because I was getting a semi hard-on and I didn't want Colin to notice. I hated that I had no control around him, but how could I? He was such a good looking guy.
I got outside and saw that it was a little nippy, but tolerable weather to walk home. I took my time, staring at the sky, thinking. I love walking alone. It gives me a chance to clear my mind.
When I approached my driveway, I noticed that my mom was home. Well, she was home early. That's cool. I walked in to find her in the family room reading a book.
"Hi honey, how was school?" she said, looking up now and smiling.
"Well, I think you'll enjoy the news I'm about to give you." I said, doing my best to smile with enthusiasm.
"Oh my God, you got a date for homecoming! Right? Am I right?" she asked, practically jumping up and down.
"Yup." I said, chuckling.
"Yay! This is go exciting! You're going to look so cute with your suit! What's the girl's name? Do we know her?" she asked.
I rolled by eyes and started to blush.
"Her name's Megan. You don't know her. She's in my math class." I said.
"Oh how exciting! I can't wait till your father gets home so I can tell him the news!" she practically shouted.
I went to my room as my mom walked into the kitchen to begin preparing dinner. I threw my bag on my bed and pulled out some homework. I turned my computer on and logged onto AIM as well. No one was on that I was in the mood to talk to so I began working on my homework.
"You don't want to go do you?" Roy said from behind me.
I practically jumped out of my chair.
"Fuck, you scared out the shit out of me." I said, panting.
"You don't want to go with this chick" he said, smiling.
"Is it that obvious?" I asked, sighing.
"Kind of. I'm surprised mom didn't notice it. She was probably blinded by her being so exciting. So, who did you want to go with?" he asked, taking a seat on my bead.
Great. So now I had to make another lie. I thought about it for a brief moment but not to make it obvious that I was actually thinking about her.
"Her name's Laura. She got asked by someone else before I had the chance." I lied.
"Ah, that sucks dude. I'm sorry to hear that." he said.
"It's not your fault. Now, if you don't mind, I need to get started on this." I said, doing my best to get him out of the room. I wanted to end this conversation.
He nodded and left the room. I turned my attention back to the computer and began to type up my paper.
Colin walked in to a similar scene. His father was sitting on the sofa watching T.V and his mom was in the kitchen preparing dinner. His father motioned to him to come sit down next to him.
"So did you ask him?" his dad asked.
"Ty to homecoming? Are you nuts!? I can't do that!" I shouted.
"Shh...keep your voice down. We don't want your mom over hearing us." he whispered.
I nodded.
"Why didn't you?" he continued.
"I can't afford to be the laughing stock and talk of the entire school at my first year here. Plus, a girl already asked me." Colin said flatly.
"Oh I see. Have you told your mother yet? I'm sure she'll be thrilled to hear that." he said.
"I just walked in, dad. I will now." Colin said as he got up and went into the kitchen.
The next thing Colin's dad heard was him mom jumping for joy at the news. He rolled his eyes and went back to watching his show.
THE NIGHT OF THE DANCE
I got out of the shower and started drying myself off. I took a quick look at my phone and realized I still had plenty of time to get ready. I put on my boxers and then began to brush my teeth. I went into my room and saw my suit that I'd be wearing all laid out on my bed.
I started with the pants and then moved onto the shirt. I always hated buttons. For some odd reason, I would always have trouble buttoning shirts. This time wasn't any different. After plenty of fumbling, I managed to get all of them buttoned. I tucked my shirt into my pants and then put on my belt. The next one was the tie. Shit. I never learned. I didn't want to ask my dad. I wanted my parents to see me after I was all set and ready to go.
I decided to go online. The internet has everything. I began to search how to tie a tie and sure enough, there was a link with pictures and a nice description. After a little bit of fumbling with that as well, I got it. I could always rely on the internet.
I went back into the bathroom to put on some cologne that I had. I made some last minute touches and took one last look in the mirror. I looked good. I was ready to go down stairs.
As I made my descent, I saw my parents sitting on the couch. My mom was the first to notice me and jumped.
"Oh my baby! You look so handsome!!"
I rolled my eyes. We went outside and took some pictures by our garden. My mom kept blabbing about how cute I looked. I began to tune it out because I got tired of listening to it. As much as I would've liked my dad to drive, my mom insisted on driving me to my date's house.
As we approached my date's house, I began to get nervous. I'm not entirely sure why but I am. I shrugged it off as I got out of the car. I leaned in to quickly grab the corsage and began to walk to the front door. I rang the door bell, my mom was standing not too far behind me.
Her dad answered the door. He was a very tall guy. I was kind of kind of intimidated.
"H-Hello sir. My name is-" I said, cursing myself for stuttering.
"I know who you are. MEGAN! YOU'RE DATE'S HERE!" he shouted at the stairs.
I walked in, my mom following shortly after. Another female came from the kitchen. I assumed it was her mom. Greetings were exchanged between the parents and then there was the awkward silence while we waited for my date to come down.
After only a few minutes, but seemed like a few hours, I heard the clacking of heels on the wooden steps. I got up from where I was sitting and then saw Megan appear.
She looked good, actually. Really good. I didn't have a small orgasm in my pants or anything but she really did look hot. Make up could really do that to anyone, I guess.
"You look nice. I like your dress." I said, pulling out the flower.
"Nice? Who the fuck says that? Alright then. Shit. What hand do I put the flower on?" I thought.
"It's the hand she doesn't eat with." my mom said.
I hate it when she fucking does that.
"Left." Megan whispered.
I put it on and her mom handed her the boutonniere. I prayed that she wouldn't stab me. Luckily enough, she didn't. We went outside and took some more pictures. I really wasn't in the mood to take group pictures so I told Joe to meet us at the restaurant at our reservation time.
My mom was going to drive us. We got into the car, both us sitting in the back seat. My mom was trying to bring up conversations with Megan but was failing epically. I mouthed an "I'm sorry." to her. She smiled and just answered my mom's questions without any complaint.
We arrived to the restaurant and when I walked in, I immediately noticed Joe with his date sitting next to them. They haven't sat down yet. I walked up.
"Hey man." I said.
"Hey, you're finally here. They wouldn't sit us until our full party was here." Joe replied.
He got up and went to the sitting hostess and pointed us out. She smiled and nodded, grabbed four menus, and began walking towards the back of the restaurant. Luckily, we got a booth. Joe motioned for his girl to take the inside. I followed suit. I really didn't know this whole process so I was grateful that I had someone I could follow.
We sat down and it was of course a crap load of awkward silence. I felt like doing the awkward turtle right then and there. Our waiter came and took our drink orders. He left and brought bread sticks shortly after.
We looked through our menus. Shit. Everything on here wasn't that cheap. I decided on a pasta dish that was fairly reasonable. Megan also decided on a pasta dish, different from the one I ordered. I took a quick glance at the price and realized that it was the same price as mine. Alright, excellent.
Joe, on the other hand, didn't get so lucky. His date choose the veal, which wasn't even close to be considered reasonable. Joe decided on one of the cheapest items on the menu. I chuckled to myself. "Poor Joe." I thought.
The waiter came and took our orders. The food arrived quite some time later due to the veal. Because of this, we were on a pretty tight schedule. We ate fairly quickly and asked for the bill. Me and Joe took a look at that and after some annoying calculations, we were able to figure out how much each of us owed.
Joe called his mom because she had a bigger car that could hold all of us in the back seat so one of us didn't have to sit in the front. She didn't take too long to arrive. Joe helped his date into the car and I, once again, followed suit. We were then off.
Joe's mom pulled up to the front of the school. I noticed some limos there. "Wow, going all out I see." I thought to myself. We got out of the car and said good bye and our thanks to our Joe's mom and began to walk inside. Me and Joe presented our tickets to the assistant principle. He moved to the side and we walked in.
"Megan! Oh my God!!" a girl voice shouted.
Megan screamed and ran ahead to her friends. Then they all ran off. Great... I was left alone. Joe gave me a "That sucks" look and walked into the gym with Ashley. I began to walk in the direction that Megan went and then I saw Colin.
"Damn!" I said loudly, people turning to stare.
I coughed, doing my best to cover it up. Colin looked so hot. Now, I almost did have a small orgasm in my pants. I was just getting hard looking at him. I pulled myself back into reality, controlling myself. I waved. He waved meekly back. I kind of felt bad for him. He looked like he was having a horrible time. I wondered who the other person he wanted to go with was.
I finally found Megan and walked up. She apologized for running off. Minutes later, though, she did it again. "Wow...I paid for this?" I thought. I sighed and followed her into the gym.
I walked in to find her grinding with a guy I didn't know, but I'm assuming someone she did. Very well. I was kind of hurt by this. I'm not entirely sure why. I really didn't care, though. She could do whatever she wants. I really didn't have an interest her. I am kind of ticked that she practically got in here for free, though. Oh well. I saw Joe and Ashley grinding it up. They seemed to be having an excellent time.
Colin sighed to himself as he continued grinding with the girl that was practically all over him. The song had finally ended and the next song they put on they both didn't like. Colin then realized he had to go to the washroom. He told his date he'd be back and left. He turned to see lines long as hell for the nearest washroom. The next closest one is a little further away than he would want to walk but he didn't want to wait in this line either. He went off.
I continued to aimlessly walk around. I looked like a total idiot. I was still a little ticked with what happened with Megan but I just shrugged and found Luke sitting by himself at a table. I walked up to him.
"Hey, why aren't you dancing?" I asked.
"Well, when my we came in and my date saw her ex boyfriend, she practically re-fell in love with him and just went all over him. Now here I am alone." he said, sighing.
After his statement I realized that I had to piss really bad. I excused myself and went outside to see lines up the ass. I decided to go to the other bathroom that was further down. No one would be there since they were so lazy to walk there. I opened the door and then ran into someone. I looked up to realize that it was Colin that I had run into.
I took a whiff of his cologne. It was the same one I had smelled the other time. Once again, it smelled amazing.
"Oh shit, the last thing I would expect is to see Ty here. This could be it. I could make my move right now." Colin thought. He decided to go for it. He wrapped his arms around Ty.
My heart skipped a beat when I realized that Colin's arms were wrapped around me. I didn't process it at first because I was still focused on going to the bathroom.
"I need to tell you something." he said.
I looked up.
"Wh--what?" I stuttered.
"Listen, I've been fond of you ever since I've laid my eyes on you. I was too afraid to tell you because I thought you were straight. I tried to give the subtle hint from the movies..." Colin said.
My heart melted. I couldn't believe it. Was this really happening?
"Well, I bet you would like to hear that I've really like you--"
Before I could finish my statement, Colin had leaned in and pressed his lips to mine. I leaned into the kiss, wrapping my arms around him as well. I broke it.
"I can't believe this is happening." I began to say.
"Believe it." Colin said, "Well, I need to get back. My date is probably wondering where the hell I am." he continued, heading to the door.
"Wait." I quickly said.
"What?" he asked, turning around.
"What does this mean now?" I asked, feeling kind of stupid at the question.
"Well, maybe we start dating. We'll talk about it more tomorrow." he said, chucking and continuing for the door.
"One more thing." I said.
"What's up, hun?" he asked.
"Can I ask of you a favor? Can you just grind with me? I know this may sound weird but I just want to experience it." I said, blushing.
"Of course, babe." he said, walking towards me.
He went behind and put his hands on my hips. We began swaying side to side. He rested his chin on my shoulder. I turned my head to kiss his cheek. He began to move his hands along my stomach. I grinded my ass harder against his crotch. I felt his member starting to get hard and so was mine. He reached for pants and unbuttoned them.
"Mm...not holding back." I commented, chuckling.
"Am I going too fast?" he asked, kissing my neck.
"Not at all..." I softly said.
He reached in and grabbed my member, stroking it to the best of his ability within my pants. I moaned softly, feeling some pre leaking out. He continued to kiss my neck. All of a sudden, he stopped.
"We need to get back." he stated firmly.
"Alright..." I said, frowning.
As we walked out Luke was standing at the door.
"I thought you would be in here. I've been looking every where for you. How long does it take to go to the bathroom?" he asked.
"Nothing, we got caught up talking." I said quickly, heading out.
They followed me and we went back into the gym. Colin's date got ticked that he was gone for so long so she started dancing with another guy. He didn't care though. We sat down at a table. I reached and put my hand on Colin's thigh. He put his hand over mine and turned to smile at me and winked.
The dance was over before we knew it and my mom came and picked me and Megan up. In a few seconds, I started feeling my phone vibrating. It was a text from Megan.
Megan: Sorry I went and danced off with someone else. =(
"Hm...Perfect time to put on some guilt." I thought.
Me: You really hurt my feelings.
Megan: =( I know! I'm so sorry! I don't know what I was thinking.
Me: Save it.
I grinned to myself as I looked at her expression when she read that last one.
We approached her house and dropped her off. My mom began interrogating me about the dance. I answered that I had an amazing time. It was true. I didn't feel any happier at the moment.
We walked in and I was exhausted. I went straight upstairs and went to bed. I laid my head down and fell asleep instantly, a huge grin across my face.
"So, how was the dance?" Colin's father asked, putting on a show for his wife because he really wanted to ask something else.
"It was good. I had a good time." he replied, smiling going upstairs to change.
His mom was exhausted and he heard her go into the master bedroom to get ready for bed. After a few moments, he heard a knock at the door and his dad walked in.
"So, did you make your move?" he asked.
"Yup. I did it! He has actually liked me! I couldn't believe it!" he said, grinning widely as he put his shirt on.
"Nice! I'm so happy for you. But listen, I'm going to go to bed. I'm pretty tired myself. Give your old man a hug." he said, putting his arms out.
Colin hugged him and after he left, jumped into bed falling asleep instantly, a huge grin across his face.
Well, here you go. Hoped you liked it! Unfortunately, I'm leaving for a trip soon for two weeks but I am bringing my laptop so don't expect anything soon, but my next post should contain 2-3 chapters at once.
