When the Wife Works Night Shift - Part 3
#3 of When the Wife Works Night Shift
Several weeks had went by since Helena first suspected her husband Hal was leading some kind of secret life. Try as she might, she couldn't figure out what exactly he was doing. The female hyena worked twelve hours shifts as a hospital nurse, often picking up shifts on the weekend. Her life was a mix of eighty-plus hours of work, and stressing out over what Hal was up to.
She had made several attempts at finding out what was going on, but Hal always seemed to be one step ahead of him. She tried to find his cell phone, but he always had it on him or hidden. Even then, she was fairly certain that even if she found it, the damn thing would be password protected. She'd tried getting off work by using vacation days, but the the hospital was so short staffed and many nurses with more seniority had already planned vacation, that she was forced to work. She wanted to install a camera in her bedroom, but she knew nothing about those sort of devices. Besides, Hal was still not working and he made sure to never leave her alone when she was awake. She wondered if she would ever know the truth.
Lennox heard a knock on his apartment door. Putting his iPad down on the coffee table and went up to answer it. He didn't even bother looking through the peephole, knowing full well who it was.
"Hey," said Hal as Lennox opened the door for him.
"Hey," said Lennox shutting the door as the hyena walked in.
Hal went over and sat down on the couch. His relationship with Lennox had reached a point where they were talking more now. Hal had been doing this for a few years, and he recalled having guys over to play with where not even a dozen words were exchanged beyond what each of them wanted from the other. Lennox was proving to be very different. Not only was he the best fuck the hyena ever had, he also felt a closeness to him.
"Any luck finding work?" asked Lennox, sitting down in the chair across from him.
"Nope," said Hal, looking down trodden. "I need to find something soon, or my wife is going to kill me."
"Things going bad in that department?" asked the lion.
"With her, she never screams or yells when she's mad, she just gets super passive-aggressive about shit. I know she's getting sick of working all the time, plus I always wonder if she knows what I'm doing."
"She asked anything suspicious?" Lennox inquired.
"Not exactly," said Hal. "She's probably wondering why I'm going out for job interviews all day long and coming home empty handed. It's just . . ."
"What?" said Lennox.
"If I get a job, then you and I won't get to spend much time together. I'm just so glad that you and I have clicked so well."
"I feel the same way," said Lennox. "After all, you introduced me to poppers."
Hal cracked a slight smile. "You're crazy about that stuff, aren't you?"
Lennox got up and walked over to Hal, who also stood up. "I'm even crazier about you, Hal."
The lion and hyena wrapped their arms around each other and locked lips. With the passion growing hotter, the two decided to take things into Lennox's bedroom as they always did. Once more, a pile of shed clothes was on the floor as the two naked males got into bed together. Rubbing against each other, the two resumed their making out, kissing and petting each other with fiery passion. Lennox moved his right paw around Hal's back, reaching for the top of his nightstand where the hyena had put the small brown bottle. Unscrewing the lid, Lennox inhaled deeply, quickly feeling the intoxicating effects of the substance. Hal licked at the lion's face, then whispered into his ear.
"I bet I know what I'm getting really soon."
In no time at all, Hal was on his back, legs spread wide, his left arm behind him as he ran his paw through Lennox's thick mane. The hyena alternated between closing his eyes and staring directly down in between his legs, watching his hard cock disappear inside the lion's mouth, only to make it quickly reappear. Hal made sure to keep the bottle near Lennox so he could maintain his high the whole time. The hyena considered it an absolute miracle drug, especially when it was used by Lennox. The lion became insanely horny when he was under it's influence, wanting nothing more than to keep sucking Hal's cock, over and over again. Not a problem for the virile hyena at all!
Hal bucked his hips, feeling his orgasm fast approaching. It would be his first orgasm of the day--though not his last--so he was sure to blast quite the sizable load for Lennox. With both his paws, Hal grabbed the lion's head and forcibly shoved his head up and down, face-fucking him hard. Lennox offered no resistance whatsoever, loving every second of the hyena's efforts. Hal felt his teeth grinding against each other as the flow of his seed went down the length of his cock and finally into the lion's maw.
"Damnnnnnnn!" breathed Hal as he shot his load.
Hungrily, Lennox drank down all that Hal gave him. Hal squirmed and giggled as the lion licked away the cum from the head of his cock.
"Hehe," he said. "That tickles!"
Lennox stopped licking and laid down next to Hal. "Sorry," he said. "I get carried away."
Hal patted the lion on the head. "No problem, you're too cute for me to get mad at."
Lennox stroked his still hard member as it pointed straight up towards the ceiling. Hal, basking in the afterglow, patted his mouth as he yawned. Lennox looked over at him.
"Not getting tired, are you?" asked the lion.
"Nope," said Hal. "Just satisfied with your excellent work."
Lennox put his large head on the hyena's muscular chest, feeling his heartbeat and breathing. The hyena put his arm around Lennox's head, scratching at his mane before kissing him. The two lovers laid in bed for several minutes, neither one saying a word as they were content just to be in each others' presence. Hal and Lennox both felt as though they could lie there forever, completely tranquil and at peace with each other.
DING!
The sound of Hal's cell phone dinging from receiving a text message rang out. With the mood now broken, Hal took his arm from around Lennox as he got off the bed. Walking to his pants, he reached down, rummaging through his pants pockets. Lennox remarked that he was getting a lovely view as the hyena was bent over. Hal turned around, grinning at lion before standing up and reading what had been sent to him only a moment ago. Hal's look of peace quickly changed into shock when he read the message. He froze, like he was a statue. Lennox quickly took notice in Hal's change of expression.
"What is it?" asked the lion, genuinely concerned.
"I don't believe it," said Hal, not taking his eyes from his cell phone. "You remember that interview I told you about, the one at that huge bookstore downtown?"
"Vaguely," said Lennox.
"I got the job. I'm the new head manager there!"
Lennox got up, went over and hugged his boyfriend. "Hal, that's great! You've been looking for work for a long time now!"
"Yeah," said Hal, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Longer than I thought I'd have to look."
Lennox sat down on the bed next to him. "When do you start?"
"This coming Monday," said Hal, putting the cell phone down on the nightstand. "I go in early for training. I'll be working Monday through Friday, nine to five."
"Office hours," observed the lion. "Not bad."
"Yeah," said Hal, smiling slightly. "I guess I've finally done it."
"New beginnings," said Lennox.
Hal heard those words, and something about them just seemed to hit him hard. "New beginnings, new beginnings, new beginnings," he repeated over and over in a whisper.
"You okay, man?" asked Lennox, tapping Hal on the shoulder.
Hal looked over at Lennox. "Yeah," he said. "It's just that . . . I think there are some more new beginnings I need to try. I think I've needed to try them for a long time now."
Helena knew that she had finally gotten the golden opportunity. She was only two hours into sleeping when she was awoken by the sound of her cell phone ringing. Annoyed at first, she was quickly thrilled to hear that the staff was giving her the night off, using up a vacation day that she requested. The reason they had decided to finally let her have a night off was due to the incredible amount of stress they believed her to be under due to her heavy work load with so little rest. Helena smiled as she ended the call. Revitalized from the call, Helena had devised a plan of how she would finally get to the bottom of Hal's sneaky behavior. Noticing that he was not at home, she believed him to be out and about and up to no good, but she wouldn't let on that she knew anything. No, she would get dressed for work, have some dinner before leaving on the bus. The only difference about tonight would be that she would get off at a different stop, then take a bus right back to the apartment. Then, then she would quietly sneak inside and catch Hal in the act with whatever slut he had been fooling around with.
As Helena waited on her husband's return, she went over to her purse. Inside, she had a very special gift that she would be giving her husband when she caught him. Looking inside of the gift, she counted.
"One, two, three, four, five, six." she said, eyes burning hatefully. "Ha, I'll only need one. That will do it!"
She closed her purse, making sure to cover the gift. She decided at this point that it was best to get into her hospital scrubs. She didn't want anything to be out of the ordinary, nothing to make Hal even the slightest bit suspicious of what she had plotted. She waited, seeing the minutes turn into hours on the clock by her side of the bed. With the passing of time, her anger didn't wane, but actually intensified. Her she was, working herself to death, letting her youthful good looks turn her old prematurely, and for what? A husband that was going behind her back, cheating on her? And, to add salt in the wound, the lazy bastard couldn't even hold down a job! Why should she work herself to the brink of insanity for some worthless slime ball like that? She shouldn't! She would get her revenge!
Suddenly, she heard the door lock to the apartment door being rattled. It was him! She waited until she heard the door, unlock, open and then finally close before she went out to the living to see her conniving spouse. Entering the living room, she saw a very solemn looking Hal sitting on the couch.
"How was your day, dear?" she asked him, her tone no different than it normally was.
"I got a job today," said Hal, not a trace of excitement in his tone.
All at once, Helena's anger vanished. Smiling, she ran over, throwing her arms around her husband's neck, hugging him.
"Hal, that's wonderful! Where at?"
"Bookstore," he said in the same lifeless tone of voice.
Helena kept hugging and kissing him, but soon realized that there was something very strange, and very wrong about the way he was acting. Hal never was this way unless there was something very important he had to deal with.
"Dear," said Helena. "What's wrong?"
Hal looked up at her. "Helena, we need to talk. Please, sit down."
"Okay," said Helena, sitting down across from her husband. Was he going to admit to an affair like she thought? She might forgive him if he admitted it freely. After all, they'd both been under a lot of stress, so things, bad things were bound to come from that.
"Helena," said Hal. "I've been seeing someone."
She knew it! Ever since he lied about sweeping underneath the bed. All her suspicions had been correct about him.
"I see," said Helena, her expression turning sour. "How long now?"
"Over two months," said Hal. "But there have been others . . . in the past."
Helena froze. Others? She never suspected that there had been more than one beast, or that it had been going on for longer than she had suspected him of being unfaithful. Her anger had now changed to shock at what she was hearing.
"How many?" she asked. "How long?"
"Maybe fifty, and for a few years now."
Fifty? Helena couldn't comprehend that Hal had managed to seduce so many females into sleeping with him over just a few years. Hal just never came across like that. Helena thought about all the times they were out in public and a very sexy, large-breasted, female would walk by, Hal would never make any rude comments, or even let his eyes wonder over to catch a glimpse of the female. He was always so tame when it came to that.
"You . . . you've slept with fifty females . . . over a few years?" asked Helena, tears now starting to come down her face.
Hal lowered his head. "No," he said. "Not females."
"Not females?" said Helena, she was quickly realizing what this meant. "You mean . . . you're . . . you're . . ."
"Yes," said Hal, flatly. "Helena, I'm gay."
The words were like a dagger in Helena's heart. How could she have not known that her husband liked other males? Females were suppose to have intuition about these sort of matters, and she had been completely in the dark about what he was really doing when she wasn't around.
"Helena," said Hal, raising his head. "I'm sorry, but the truth is, I've always been more attracted to males than females. It's just . . . when we met in college, I thought you might be the one to steer me away from liking guys. You know what it's like where I grew up, beasts around there aren't very accepting of that sort of thing.
"I know," said Helena in a whisper, still in shock.
"I really, really, really wanted to live a normal, heterosexual life with you, but I came to realize that the urges were still there. I never meant to hurt you, Helena, but after today, I think it's time that I was finally honest with you. You deserve a guy that truly loves you, so that's why I want you to sign this."
Hal pulled a piece of paper from his pocket and gently placed it on the coffee table. "I got this at the courthouse today."
Helena looked down at the pater, then back at her husband, she knew what it was, but she still had to hear him say the words.
"Helena, I want a divorce. I'm not going to hide from who I really am anymore, and I don't want to be married to someone who deserves much better than me. Please, take your time and think about it. You'll realize it's the right thing to do."
Helena sat like a frozen figure as she tried to take in all that she had just been told. She still couldn't believe that she had been so blind to the reality of who Hal really was. He never acted feminine at all, he was into things normal guys were. There were just no overt signs he was gay.
Hal got up, leaving his wife sitting on the chair. "I'm going to pack my suitcases, and then I'll be gone. I'm not going to fight you over money, Helena. You can have everything. All I want are my clothes, a few personal things, and that's it."
Helena barely moved an inch, barely even blinked as she sat, all the while Hal was busy throwing his things in two large suitcases. He didn't waste much time, knowing full well that he wouldn't be welcome in the apartment after tonight. With both suitcases full, Hal brought them out to the living room, sitting them down in front of the door before going over to Helena.
"Here," said the male hyena, taking something out of his pocket. "You can have my key. I won't be back here again unless you want me to be."
Hal placed the key on the coffee table, then looked at his still in shock, soon to be ex-wife. He knew that he had hurt her, badly, but he didn't want to stay in a marriage that was a complete charade. He and Lennox wanted to make a life together, a life they could both enjoy without fear of anyone knowing who they really were.
"Good bye, Helena. I hope you find happiness one day," said Hal. With that, he opened the door, grabbed both suitcases and headed out the door. Helena moved her head, seeing the last glimpse of her husband as he left the apartment for the very last time. Still unmoved from her chair, she heard the city bus pull up near their apartment. No doubt, Hal would be getting on there and giong to his new boyfriend.
Over an hour passed before Helena finally got up looked around the apartment. On the bookcases in the living room, there were pictures of her and Hal all over, hugging, snuggling, looking happy. She went over to one picture of both of them that had been taken only last Christmas. One of their neighbors had taken it. She picked it up, seeing Hal kissing her on the cheek in the photo. Once more, tears streamed down her face. She sobbed, before flying into a rage and throwing it against the wall. The glass shattered in a hundred pieces as the wooden frame was smashed. The female hyena went into a terrible rage, taking all the pictures and throwing them against the wall and on the floor. Her eyes burned with a terrible wrath as she screamed at the top of her lungs.
"You son of a bitch! You dirty, stinking, filthy faggot! I hate you! I hate you! I hope you and your boyfriend die in a car fire! How could you do this to me, you worthless bastard? Die, die!!!"
After all the pictures were destroyed, Helena simply grabbed whatever was nearby and threw it against the wall. Going into the kitchen, she took all the dishes--a wedding gift from Hal's parents, and threw them on the floor, watching the ceramic plates shatter.
"Here," she screamed, breaking another plate. "Here's your dishes, you dirty bastard! Be sure to tell your mother what a lying, disgusting faggoty queer you really are, you asshole!"
With so much noise being made, it was only a matter of time before several of the apartment residents had called both Mr. Peterson, the rabbit who managed the building, and the city police. Still throwing everything in the apartment and screaming at the top of her lungs, both Mr. Peterson and two police officer--two large wolves--were banging on her door.
"Mrs, Murdock," yelled the rabbit. "What's wrong in there? You're disrupting the other tenants!"
Helena never even paid attention to the three beasts outside her door, still going on a rampage.
"Can you break down the door, officers?" asked the rabbit.
"You're not going to sue us for a broken door, are you?"
"No!" snapped the rabbit. "Go ahead, before all the other tenants leave!"
Both the wolf officers got into position, Taking three steps back, they counted to three, then kicked the door simultaneously. The wooden frame of the door snapped from the pressure, and the wolves quickly entered, but not before hearing a very loud.
BANG!
Drawing their pistols, the wolves slowly made their way past a completely destroyed apartment and towards the bedroom where the shot supposedly originated from.
"Mrs. Murdock," yelled one officer. "Are you alright?"
No response. "Mrs. Murdock," yelled the other wolf. "We're coming in!"
Carefully, the two wolves went towards the bedroom door, with one of them turning the door knob, while the other had his pistol pointing at the opening. Going in, they saw Helena Murdock and understood why there was no response.
"Oh, my dear sweet Jesus," said the first wolf. "Get her covered up, would you?"
The second wolf took a bedsheet covering Helena up. She wouldn't be signing any divorce papers, now or ever. She was lying on the ground, dead. Her "gift", a snub nose .357 magnum revolver lying next to her. She was right about only needing one, not for Hal, but for herself.
