some eyes are brown
some eyes are green
but none are more perfect
than the eyes as blue as the sea.
these eyes rival none
in beauty and charm
and with them gone
so are my wit and happiness.
but these eyes are also inquisitors
they can see through even the greatest facades and most carefully-hidden truths.
these eyes are dreamers
and they are also my doors
_and bear the only portals into my mind. _
my eyes are mirrors
for they mirror my true thoughts and feelings
and are a passage into my soul.
without these bright eyes of mine
i am lost in sight
and lose my windows
that are there for when i am bored
_and look out into the endless fenceless realm of earth, dream and sky. _
