It's been 5 years since Akari touched down in Hisui. Although she's helped a great deal of people, she never stopped to help herself. It comes to a breaking point when she's tasked to find a specific alpha pokemon...

"Akari, would you be willing to catch an alpha Machop for us? We need more hands for the construction of this new building, and we need something smaller than a Machoke but is as strong. I understand that you haven't been feeling like yourself lately, but if you can, we'd appreciate the help."

The person asking Akari this was none other than Charm from the trio formerly known as the Miss Fortune Sisters. Akari was beginning to regret helping others. People would ask her for things without understanding the precise difficulty of the requests she makes. But nevertheless, she would help her out, because that's what she has been doing for 5 years.

"Sure, I could do that. It might take me a while since alpha Machops are rare, and I already evolved the alpha Machop I had"

"Well, we plan to start building in a week's time, so if you could find one by then, we'd really appreciate it"

Akari nods and goes away. She fumes. She's been having enough of helping people. In her mind, she believes that people have become more and more lazy over time. She desperately needs to take a break, but she doesn't feel like she can. So she goes to her place to prepare to go to the coastlands.

When she enters, she is greeted by her alpha Sylveon, who she lovingly named Usagi. The Sylveon sees the frustration on her face, and she puts one of her ribbons around Akari's arm. Normally, a Sylveon would calm someone down by doing this, but due to the many times the Sylveon has done this for Akari, it started to have less of an effect on Akari, but Akari still felt calm enough to give her Sylveon some headpats and oran berries. But still, Akari has a job to do.

Right as she packs all the heavy balls and berries she needs, she gets a knock on the door. When she opens the door, she's greeted by people she has gotten to know well, Rei, Charm, and Coin (another member of the former Miss Fortunes). They have all become the closest of friends, but the three knew that Akari was becoming agitated and distant.

Charm starts with, "I apologize for being a little pushy. If you want, we're all willing to look for the alpha Machop ourselves"

Rei chimes in, "Yeah, you could sit this one out"

But Akari doesn't believe that they have the ability to get the alpha in a timely fashion. "You could look for it, but I really believe that I should put my skills to use."

Coin then reasons with her, "You've done so much for all of us. Let us give you a break"

Charm then also mentions "if all else fails, we could find a different pokemon"

But Akari won't budge. "No, I want to do this." They all attempt to persuade her, but they can't. So they say goodbye and start to prepare for the hunt themselves.

When she finishes her preparations, she takes Usagi and they both go to the Cobalt Coastlands. Since Usagi was Lvl 100 and also knew only type coverage moves, Usagi can handle anything they encounter. They go to Castaway Shore, where many Machops spawn, and then they wait. Minutes turn to hours, and then into days. The frustration within Akari builds up more and more, while her Sylveon can't do much to soothe her rage.

It all comes to a breaking point a few days after they first arrived. They were busy searching when they found an alpha Machop. Relieved, Akari starts sneaking up to the Machop, but then she realizes she's not the only one on the beach. Right before she can act, Clover's Abomasnow kills the alpha Machop before her eyes.

"I did it! I finally defeated an alpha!", the bandit Clover says, completely oblivious to the presence of the two. Both Akari and Usagi are at a loss of words. Usagi takes initiative and knocks out her Abomasnow using Mystical Fire. With the Abomasnow knocked out, Clover could only turn around in fear to see a giant fairy dog the size of a horse looking at her. Instead of attacking Clover however, the Sylveon cares about her friend first and foremost. Akari is still speechless. She has no way to process that a person she felt was beneath her just killed the Pokemon she needed. This is what broke her.

Finally, Akari spoke, in a collected but menacing way "Usagi, use Dazzling Gleam", pointing to Clover. Now Usagi's relationship with Akari got to the point where Akari didn't command Usagi to do stuff. They were both free agents. So instead of obeying, she instead starts to wrap her ribbon around Usagi's arm to soothe her, which Akari bats away. Akari then impulsively ran over to Clover and started to beat her up. Her sylveon whimpers to try to get her to stop, but it's no use. Usagi and Clover didn't see any end to the punches, but Rei arrived in the nick of time. He runs over to the three and pulls Akari away from Clover.

Rei says to Clover, "are you alright?" Clover signals she's fine and looks straight at Akari, saying "is this what you become when you help people?" Clover takes her Abomasnow and walks away.

Rei turns around to look at Akari. She's more distant than ever. Rei says gently "Akari, you have to take a break. this isn't you." Akari is still zoned out. Rei tries again "we've been through a lot together. you could always confide in me." Silence still. Rei realizes he can't do anything to help, so he just says "Well, I'm gonna go back to the town. I'm not gonna tell anyone about this, and I will let you tell others what you have done when you are ready. I suggest that you beat whatever demons are holding you back before going back to work"

"Could you take Usagi with you? I need to be alone". Rei agrees and heads out.

Now alone, she starts sobbing. She almost beat the life out of someone. What she did was a betrayal of the core values she held dear. She was starting to wonder if she had become a monster, like Clover suggested. Her bitterness towards others has reached a fatal tipping point. She had anger at herself previously, but now all that malice towards others is now solely directed at herself. And so her sorrow turned to self hatred.

So she took her friend's advice. She went back to her quarters, and holed herself there. She couldn't get herself to do most things. She ate little, and only went outside for the essentials. She wouldn't welcome her friends in. The only other creature in her quarters was her alpha Sylveon. A month went by, and she still wasn't feeling better, despite her Sylveon's efforts. Increasingly, she kept on thinking about the sharp objects in her quarters, wondering if everyone would be better off without her. It came to a head one day when Akari got the motivation to pick up a knife. She was about to snuff out her life when Usagi put her ribbon on her shoulder. While Pokemon can't talk, the two knew each other well enough to communicate simple things. So Usagi, putting another ribbon on her shoulder, was essentially saying "please don't end your life, I love you". Feeling the care of her Sylveon caused her to snap out of her thoughts. Akari dropped the knife and hugged her Sylveon, while sobbing.

While they were both standing there, Usagi was mulling over an idea she had for some time to cheer up her friend. Usagi was opposed to it before because she wasn't sure if Akari would mind it, but now it's clear to her that she needs to try it.

Wrapping her ribbons gently around her friend's body, she looked at her as if to say, "do you trust me?" Akari nods her head, in confusion of what the fairy is thinking.

Akari did not expect to be lifted off the ground by the Sylveon's ribbons. The ribbons weren't around her limbs, so that Akari could still have some freedom to communicate. Akari's eyes widened as her head was brought closer to the fairy's widening maw. Akari did not know what to think about what was happening. She has seen her swallow pokemon whole before, but she was concerned that an adult human might be too much for her Sylveon, and she was frankly terrified. Despite these concerns, Akari chose to trust her and Akari put her arms against her sides. Besides, Akari didn't care if Usagi's innards melted her away.

Never having a human in her maw, the taste caused the Sylveon to purr. As much as she wanted to lick over the rest of her human's head, she refrained in order to not terrify Akari further. So instead, she pushed the head into the beginning of her throat. Still having most of the human in her ribbons, she sat down and tilted her head up to allow gravity to help with the upcoming swallowing. Akari inside was amazed yet horrified as the Sylveon's maw easily stretched out over her head, and felt as the already tight fit around her head became tighter while the fairy started to swallow her down. The Sylveon felt as Akari twitched as she adjusted to the change in tightness around her, and she could feel the facial features of the human going down her neck. Given the size of the human, each swallow the fairy took squeezed the human down a few inches, which was still considerable, given this was her first time eating a human alive. Akari could feel the squeezing around her head subside as it poked through the stomach sphincter, and could feel that her legs were in Usagi's maw. The thought of being in her Pokemon's stomach was as intriguing as it was terrifying. Each swallow she heard forced more of Akari's body to join her head in the gut, causing the space around her to get tighter and tighter as she was forced to curl up. Usagi started to purr as she felt her gut expand as she swallowed down more of Akari. Eventually, they both felt as Akari's lower legs slipped into Usagi's maw. Akari was now fully inside her fairy, and it didn't take too many swallows to get the woman's legs into her now massive gut.

Usagi, feeling where Akari's head slightly bulged out, put one of her ribbons on that location as if to say "are you alright?" to which Akari replied with a muffled "I'm alright." There weren't any acids, but instead inside, it was like Usagi put one of her ribbons around her, but it was tighter, the ribbon was around her whole body, and the soothing essence was much stronger. It occurred to Akari that this is probably why Usagi had such an idea. She was originally afraid, but the longer she was in her Sylveon's stomach, the more comfortable she felt. This was the best Akari has felt in quite some time. So Akari said, "I feel great here. You may keep me as long you want" to which Usagi hugged her stomach with her ribbons

However, Akari knew that just as ribbons stopped working, vore would also stop working. Eventually, she knew that she would get bitter at everyone and become violent again. But little did both of them know, this experience gave Akari a thought. Getting easily swallowed whole by her sylveon humbled her, and she felt small due to how tightly packed she was in her sylveon. It clicked for her that the world will work without her. She didn't think this in the context of ending her life, but rather, she could trust that others can get stuff done. She doesn't have to work herself to insanity. She still has a way to go to be mentally well and it'll be hard to manage her pride, but this experience has been enlightening, as well as comforting. Feeling at peace, she started to doze off, tucked away in the folds of her furry friend.

Laying on her side, Usagi was looking up at the villagers in front of her.

"It ate Akari! Let's cut it open!" said one of the villagers.

Kamado stopped him, saying "We can't do that, after all that Akari has taught us. We don't even know if she's dead"

Eventually, Cyllene and her Kadabra joined the crowd. The Kadabra confirmed that Akari was still alive and unharmed. Cyllene then went up to the Sylveon's stomach, and said to Akari "My Kadabra will get you out of there, don't worry." The Kadabra used Teleport, and all of a sudden, Akari was out of there, covered in the fluids inside.

Jolted awake, she asked "How long was I out for?" to which Rei responded "I didn't see you leave your place for a day, and then I got worried and entered your apartment and saw your features on the Sylveon. I'm glad to see you're alright, though I'm curious as to why your Sylveon did that"

Akari reminisced, "she ate me to see if that'd comfort me, as odd as that sounds. I think that it worked." She then thanked the villagers and gave Usagi some headpats. The villagers left, but Akari asked Rei to stay. She said, "I apologize for all my stubbornness before, and for not trusting you. I promise to be more open about my issues" to which Rei forgave her.

Akari noticed Charm and Coin weren't there, so she looked in the direction of their place.

Rei noticed and said "Charm and Coin are busy working through what happened with Clover. The bandit ended up telling the two herself"

So Akari went over to their place and knocked at the door, apologizing for what she did. She didn't get an answer, so she let them cope. She doesn't know if she'll be close to them again. Instead of cursing herself, she knows that what is done is done, and has optimism that things will get better, even if the two sisters shut her out. With her friends Rei, who she can confide in, and Usagi, who can comfort her, she feels she can tackle anything
