The transition into The Maze was subtle but noticeable, Bastion could feel the tingle of magical energy as he made his way through the wall of mist that separated the boundaries between the material world and this extraplanar pocket dimension overlapped on top of it. The fog made it so that he could hardly see his own hand in front of his face, though as his eyes drifted to the right of him there was the subtle blue glow of his phoenix companion that walked next to him. While he still didn’t trust the creature it was his only real chance of defeating the one known as Minos and restoring the section of city that he had taken over. About a minute after stepping through the misty barrier Bastion emerged to the city streets once more, but the buildings that adorned them towered above him and the road stretched straight ahead for as long as he could see before being enveloped in the fog that still somewhat enshrouded the area.
He was in The Maze.
“So you said that you could get me a meeting with Minos,” Bastion stated as he continued to keep his weapon drawn as Slypher appeared beside him on the otherwise empty street.
“This is true,” Slypher replied with a grin on his beak. “However I cannot force the lord of the maze to come down and greet us, all I can do is send out the invite and implore him not to attack us directly. I would suggest that perhaps you do a little exploration of his domain while we wait even though it’s not as thrilling in the beginning.”
While Bastion frowned as he continued to look over at his mischievous companion Slypher said nothing more and continued to walk forward. The bear-tiger took a moment to pause and take stock of his gear now that he was inside of The Maze and found that his radio didn’t work, though that was to be expected since no one could make a phone call to anyone in the space anyway. He also had a few other essentials like a few days’ worth of food and water just in case there was nothing that he could eat inside, though as he continued to feel the atmosphere of magic it was likely he wouldn’t need such things. It also meant that Minos probably had a fix on where he was even without the help of the phoenix, which meant that he could only hope that Slypher would give him a proper introduction to skip a few steps in the diplomatic process as he repacked his bag and stood back up.
When the hybrid hoisted his pack back up on his shoulders he suddenly found himself alone on the street. “Slypher?” Bastion called out as he made his way towards the first intersection of the street, only to see that once more there was no one there. “Slypher! You better not have just left me here!”
Though he knew that there was always the potential for betrayal he wanted to assume that the phoenix had just wandered a little further ahead and not realized that The Maze had taken him somewhere as he went down to the next intersection. There was no sign of him though as he got to the next junction, save for a glowing blue feather that he found in the middle of the street. As Bastion picked it up and felt the familiar sensation of the magical energy the phoenix wielded another thought crossed his mind about the potential fate of his partner. Had Minos potentially taken him first? If that was the case then he was a sitting duck and had to get out of here since there were multiple versions of the rubber minotaur that Slypher had told him about.
When he tried to double back the way he came however Bastion quickly found that the wall of fog that he had entered through was gone, replaced by more streets that, like the others, seemed to stretch on forever. With the obvious exit gone he had decided to try and just go one direction to see if he could break through the loop, and though he quickly found that there seemed to be an endless number of intersections he did find that he was passing by the same restaurants and stores that happened to be on it. So The Maze took its impression off of the actual city that it took over, Bastion reasoned, most likely to try and conserve magical energy rather than creating something completely brand new. If that was the case then perhaps he could find others that were hiding out who hadn’t succumbed to The Maze as he looked around before heading into a grocery store so he could pull out his map of the area in some sort of shelter.
When he got inside the small corner convenience store however Bastion came to a dead stop at what he saw. He was surprised to find several creatures were inside the store doing what appeared to be normal shopping, though the real shocker was that they were all identical rubber bull drones. While Slypher had told him that this was what happened to the citizens that were caught up in the maze he still found himself dumbfounded when met face to face with the reality of the situation. Minos really was turning everyone into drones, and though they all continued to stare at them with those featureless faces it wasn’t long before they seemed to disregard him and go back to what they were doing.
The map was going to have to wait, Bastion thought to himself as his mission came back into focus in his mind. With how empty the streets were he thought that perhaps everyone had been integrated into the fabric of this reality to the point that they were just magical energy, though as he watched bull drones coming in and going out of the store he realized that they were disappearing as soon as they hit the streets. They weren’t just vanishing though, they were teleporting to their next destination or perhaps had a different version of this place they were a part of, which made sense since these creatures were part of The Maze instead of trapped in it. But as Bastion shook his head he reminded himself he was here to gather more than just passive observation and went over to the cashier that stood silently behind the counter.
“Excuse me,” Bastion said, causing the bull drone to tilt his head. “I don’t suppose you could tell me where Minos is?” When the rubber creature just continued to stare at him the hybrid frowned as he realized that this might be tougher than he thought. He decided to take the direct approach and hopped up on the counter to face the rest of the patrons in the store and asked very loudly if anyone knew where he could find Minos.
“I think I can help with that,” a deep, smooth voice said as Bastion turned his head and saw a crimson red bull man standing there, his shiny body glinting in the light as he walked in with a bull drone on a leash following him. This one was clearly different then the others as his facial features as well as the rest of his body had actual definition and there were a number of golden piercings over his body. “Hello Bastion, it’s good to see you, my name is Minos and my servant here is Ari.”
“Looks like you got my message,” Bastion replied as he got down from the counter, and though the hybrid continued to keep up a stoic front his mind was still trying to frantically figure out how he was going to resolve this situation without Slypher. “I don’t suppose you know where the messenger is?”
“We had a little discussion before I came here,” Minos replied, licking his lips as he walked towards the bear-tiger. “You are quite the wellspring of arcane energy, I look forward to using you to expand this realm. But… I did happen to make an arrangement with someone where you get to have your questions answered and also have the ability to leave The Maze, so it seems that you will get to satiate your curiosity after all.”
“It’s not my curiosity,” Bastion replied, inwardly breathing a sigh of relief as it seemed the phoenix came through on his word after all. “You have taken over a large stretch of the city, I expect you knew that sort of thing is bound to get a response. Or did you think that they would just leave you alone to continue to expand your realm until the entire city became one big pocket dimension?”
“I assure you that those who hold your leash care little for the city that I’ve conquered,” Minos retorted. “I’m not going to stand in the way of this mission of yours, but as you can see it’s hard for someone who hasn’t been integrated into The Maze to talk to the others. Fortunately I’ve prepared a little token in order to make your investigation a little easier, all you have to do is kneel and accept my gift.”
When Bastion looked down he saw that there was a shiny golden ring that was in the palm of the rubber minotaur’s hand that was identical to the one in his own nostrils. The hybrid could smell the magic that was on the item and wondered if there was more to it than just acting as a translator, but at this point he wasn’t leaving the maze empty handed and nodded his head while he knelt to one knee. He could feel the lenses of the bull drones all trained on him as Minos walked forward and tilted his head up, which as Bastion did he found that he was also eye to eye with the half-hard crimson rubber bull cock with a gold ring at the base that belonged to the creature. He was surprised that he hadn’t noticed it until then but his attention was suddenly brought to his nose as the rubber gold ring was pressed against his nostrils.
Whether Minos knew or not that he already had a piercing there that he took out while on missions he could feel the rubber press against the hole that was there before merging together. This particular ring was much larger than the one he was used to though and as it hung there it almost felt like he was pulling his whole nose out… which as his muzzle began to stretch slightly he realized that it was! “Hey, what’s going on here!” Bastion said as he could see his nose entering more into his field of vision as his nostrils flared while turning a shiny crimson. “I thought you said… that… whoa…”
“I told you that you needed to be integrated into the fabric of The Maze,” Minos replied as he cupped the cheek of the bear-tiger as his eyes became dilated and his mouth suddenly went slightly agape from the power of the minotaur flowing into his mind. “That includes mind and body, but it’s only going to be enough for you to translate what the others are saying. Of course the ring won’t just be enough to get you going, for that you’re going to need much more… essence.”
Bastion found it hard to even concentrate on what Minos was saying as the rubber began to spread from the ring while his mind was saturated in a fog thicker than what surrounded the area. His senses weren’t being dulled, if anything he was feeling sharper than ever, but as he tried to concentrate on anything other than the muscular minotaur in front of him those thoughts got lost in the haze of his mind. The euphoria was so profound he hardly noticed when the tip of the minotaur’s cock began to push into his rapidly rubberizing muzzle, and as the sensation of pleasure escalated the hybrid found he wanted more as his tongue swirled around the shaft slowly stretching out his transforming jaws. The hooved feet of Minos began to move slightly forward as the thick shaft continued to push its way into his maw, which seemed to spread the corruptive rubber even more quickly as the tip pressed against the back of his throat and the only sensation that came from it was more lust.
Soon the rubber hands of the creature were rubbing against his ears as Bastion felt his throat stretch from the cock inside of it, Minos adjusting his position so that he could thrust as cleanly into the other man as possible as gurgles and gulps came from the kneeling male. The golden ring in the new bovine muzzle of Bastion pressed up against the groin of the minotaur many times as he could feel something growing out from his skull, his eyes rolling back into his head as a pair of horns began to push their way out where he was being rubbed. A fleeting thought in his mind shouted that he was being tricked and turned into another Minos, but it was quickly lost in the haze of pure lust as he was muzzle-fucked in front of the drones that had gathered around him. The entire time Bastion could only kneel there as his maw and throat were used for the pleasure of the powerful, dominant creature that held onto his new rubber horns while he reached down and found himself stroking his own cock.
Up until that point Bastion had been unaware that Minos had rid him of his clothing using the magic of The Maze, but as he pleasured himself he found he didn’t care that he was naked and was pleasuring himself in front of others. They were bull drones after all, though as his thoughts rose above the corruption that was seeping into his mind he wondered where that idea came from. For a brief moment he didn’t think of them as citizens that were trapped in this dimension but creatures who dwelled in it, sustaining it… willingly? Bastion found himself coming back to his senses and as the cock slid out of his throat with a loud slurping noise he stopped stroking himself as he realized what he was doing.
When he was no longer being used as a cock sleeve Bastion quickly got to his feet and went to the nearest mirror to try and see what happened to him. The hybrid let out a gasp as a bovine face stared back at him; while he still had a bit of fur on his cheeks and around his eyes his muzzle had completely transformed to look identical to the one behind him. He also had a set of crimson rubber horns that were next to his ears that looked like they had been stretched out while also shining unnaturally in the light. When he felt the presence of someone behind him Bastion saw Minos suddenly in the reflection behind him, though he was shocked to see him with his former face as Mino’s features became that of a familiar hybrid.
“I can’t believe it,” Bastion said as he rubbed his fingers against the thick gold ring that now looked perfectly proportional to his new nose.
“Consider it the price of admission,” Minos replied as he rubbed a hand against his still furry throat, though Bastion could sense that the inside of it was a different story. “Plus I’m sure you don’t mind the fun that we just had. While I would love to play around with you more however the deal was to leave you alone so that you can get a sense of things yourself, so I will leave you to it.”
Bastion still found his thoughts were muddled, but as he was reminded of the mission he felt the fog clearing enough for him to get his senses back together. As he continued to stare at himself it was still hard to believe that the shiny rubber face was his as he pulled on his nostrils once more to watch them stretch slightly around the ring. When he tried to look back at Minos to ask another question he found the minotaur was gone along with the bull drone in his service, which just left him alone with the others that were in the store. To his surprise when he looked around he heard one of them ask if he was alright, the sound coming from the drone even though he didn’t have a mouth.
Though it would have been the perfect time to ask some questions there was still some residual lust that was clearly in his mind as the only thought he could form was to ask the other man if he could bend him over the counter. Instead of giving into temptation and possibly corrupting his body further Bastion just waved his hand and said that he was fine before he walked out of the store and back onto the street. When he did he was once more surprised not only that he could see other bull drones walking down the street but that he had found Slypher as well. When the phoenix noticed that he was standing there he immediately came over, though when he wobbled slightly as he walked Bastion looked down and gasped slightly when he saw the crimson hooves that capped his feet instead of the usual glowing blue avian ones.
“I see he got you too,” Slypher replied as he motioned to his nipples where Bastion found a set of bar studs poking out from them as the feathers around them were melted to rubber while the pectorals underneath started to puff out. “Unless you want to have sex right here in the street I would advise not touching them. I’m guessing he got you in the maw besides that piece of jewelry in your nose.”
“Yeah… you could say that,” Bastion stated. “I see you still have your beak, did the piercings just affect your feet and chest?”
“The hooves… actually weren’t caused by the piercings,” Slypher explained as he turned his body around to show Bastion his rubber rear and the bovine tail that swished about above it. “But in any case it was for the best, it seems like he is honoring the arrangement and letting you have your investigation. While I would love to help the two of us together are going to start a feedback loop of corruption, so unless you want to hurry your transformation into Minos we’re going to have to split before one of us takes advantage of the other.”
Since Bastion could already feel his own lusts starting to rise at seeing the naked phoenix partially transformed like that he quickly nodded his head and the two parted ways. When the bear-tiger walked down the street and his mind continued to clear he realized that he had not only lost his clothes but his pack and weapon as well, which meant that it was just him against Minos. What he really couldn’t believe was that it seemed like Slypher had given his own self in order to make their initial meeting happen, which with the phoenix not striking him as the philanthropic type he wondered why he would make such an arrangement. Once more Bastion quickly put his focus back on the mission as he looked for a place where he could try and find some drones to talk to before Minos changed his mind and came back to finish the job.
As Bastion walked he found that the haze that surrounded everything seemed to have lifted along with the streets no longer being empty, and that made him wonder just how integrated he had become with The Maze to see it like that. Bull drones were everywhere now and while most carried on with their business without noticing him some turned their heads with one or two even waving. It appeared that they could see him just as much as he could see them now, he mused as he came up to a storefront that looked like it would be small enough to only have one or two bull drones inside. The last thing he wanted was to be mobbed if they didn’t like his line of questioning and Bastion found himself feeling… strange around them as time went on, feeling a sense of belonging that he knew wasn’t right as he went into the shop where a bell rang above him upon the door opening.
“Come in!” the bull drone said as Bastion immediately looked about to see that the small shop was actually a massage parlor, which caused him to put his hand against his face. Had Minos somehow influenced him to come here, or was it just what happened to be the first shop that was put in front of him? Either way he wasn’t going to wander around more in an area that was actively corrupting him as he walked inside and closed the door behind him.
“Hey, I just had a few questions,” Bastion said, though before he could ask anything the bull drone spun around upon hearing his altered voice and let out a gasp.
“Lord Minos!” the bull drone said suddenly as he immediately began to shuffle about, his rubber hooves clopping against the wood floor as Bastion tried to stop him. “I’m sorry, I didn’t sense you coming in!”
“Wait, hold on, I’m not Minos,” Bastion said, which caused the rubber creature to immediately skid to a stop. “My name is Bastion, and I’m just here to ask you a few questions about Minos and The Maze.”
For a few moments the two continued to look at one another as the bull drone stared at him with those lensed eyes, then let out a chuckle that slightly surprised the hybrid. “You still remember your name, he must have just gotten you,” the bull drone said as Bastion could imagine the smile on his face even though he didn’t have one. “We also heard that there was someone that was looking to ask some questions of us, so why don’t you go ahead and lie down while you ask those questions of yours.”
Bastion found himself leery of doing anything that would further his transformation, which as he scratched his neck he had found the rubber was already spreading down there, but he could sense that the bull drone won’t talk to him unless he did it. As the hybrid laid down on the table on his back the drone told him to flip himself, which he complied to and found himself staring up at the featureless face of the other creature who rubbed his hands together. “So it sounds like from what you said that all the drones in this realm are connected,” Bastion stated as he tried not to shiver when he felt those rubber fingers press against his stomach and began to rub his fur. “Are you part of a hive mind or something, do you have any individual personality left, or like do you have a name to go by?”
“We really don’t see the need for such a thing,” the bull drone replied earnestly as he continued to massage Bastion’s sides that the bear-tiger had to admit felt very good. “But we can see ourselves as individuals if we need to or if Lord Minos desires it for some reason, like that servant that he has with him at all times. Before you ask we are also aware that there are multiple versions of him, but much like our own identities they don’t seem to care which one is which and we’re fine with that.”
“I see…” Bastion said, his body twitching slightly from the massage as he grunted before he was able to form his next question. “So it sounds like everyone that’s been lost in here is either a bull drone or another Minos, so how do you think that would affect you if The Maze was suddenly gone?” The hands that had been kneading his side dug in slightly, causing him to twitch as he looked down and saw the bull drone staring straight at him. “Oh, I didn’t mean anything by it, I was just curious.”
“I think you’ll find that a lot of drones here are going to have a similar reaction if you ask things like that,” the bull drone said as his fingers traveled up his chest and began to press against his pectorals, once more relaxing the muscles underneath as Bastion let out a small groan.
“Like I said, I didn’t mean any offense by that,” Bastion said as he laid back while the masseur started to stroke down his arms, the hybrid unaware that the twitching he had been feeling was his physique starting to become more defined. “But… does that mean that you don’t want to go back to the way things were? Like if I was to offer you escape, you would just refuse?”
“Flat out,” the bull drone replied as he stopped his ministrations for a moment to look right back into Bastion’s eyes. “Do you know what this section of the city was like before it was taken over by The Maze? I can still recollect it, and let me tell you that having a bunch of hot rubber bulls walking around is a blessing in a world where we don’t have to wonder if we were going to survive the day.”
Bastion found himself slightly disturbed at what he was finding out; while he didn’t have intimate knowledge of this section of the city he hadn’t been told that it was a slum, but from the sound of it that was exactly what had been here before The Maze. “What about you personally then?” Bastion asked. “I know you said that this section of the city had been revitalized, but did you always enjoy the male form and rubber before this happened?”
“Well I did appreciate a good man,” the bull drone said with a chuckle. “But that was mainly because I used to be an eighty-two-year-old woman that was infirmed to her apartment.” Before Bastion could respond he suddenly felt something tighten against his wrists, and when he looked down he saw that during their conversation the bull drone had secured his hand to the massage table! As he attempted to reach over in order to undo it the tingling sensations that he had been feeling suddenly became stronger as he found his muscles weren’t just relaxed, they were completely unresponsive as his other arm was shackled in.
“Hey, what do you think you’re doing?!” Bastion shouted as the bull drone went down to his feet and locked them in with the straps that were hidden underneath the table. “Minos said that I was going to be able to ask my questions!”
“Yes, without his interference,” the bull drone replied as he rubbed his hands up and down the oiled thighs of the hybrid, which as Bastion looked down he saw the hairs of the affected area starting to melt and merge together while his already reddish striped fur shifted to a deeper hue. “But he told us of what your intention was, and we decided that we cannot allow any danger to come to Lord Minos. Therefore we’re taking it upon ourselves to protect him… don’t worry, once you are him all your questions will be answered.”
Bastion continued to huff and tried to pull his limbs out from the restraints, but between the oil from the massage and the expertly made straps he found himself unable to move a muscle as several more were fashioned around his chest. “If you transform me into Minos then someone else is just going to take my place!” Bastion said as he found that he was still able to squirm about. “If you let me go I can talk to those that are higher in the food chain, maybe they’ll listen to me!”
“That is certainly an optimistic statement,” the bull drone replied with a chuckle. “But we’ve already checked in and your form is not going to be needed for what he has planned next. Now just relax and enjoy the honor of being chosen to become Minos, ruler of The Maze.”
The words didn’t inspire Bastion to remain still, especially when he saw the bull drone disappear out of sight and return with a hardened rubber bull mask complete with lenses that looked much like the drone that held it. It didn’t help that as it was lowered down towards his own face he could see that there was a thick rubber dildo inside with a shape similar to the one that had been thrusted down into his throat earlier. At least he knew he could take it, Bastion managed to joke to himself despite the situation as he felt the tip of the gag start to push into his maw. He gave one last plea to let him go so that he could continue his investigation but the drone was having none of it and Bastion’s words turned into muffled grunts as he found his already rubberized maw and throat starting to get stretched out once more.
Bastion felt the dildo gag travel down and stretch out his throat until the rubber of the mask was pressed against his face, effectively rendering him mute as it seemed to stick to the latex skin that was already there. He had to find some way to get out of here, he thought to himself, and though he began to get sensation back in his limbs it wouldn’t help him if he was still bound to this table. He could also feel his body starting to change more as the corruption that was already there from his encounter with Minos was fed by the lust that was being fed to him by the drone that wished to see it completely consume him. Though he wanted to try and shout out that this wasn’t fair he remembered that he hadn’t been promised safety from the minions of this realm, a thought that came with a chuckle of the minotaur that was in his own mind.
“I think that part of the problem is that you don’t really see yourself enough as Minos yet,” the bull drone said as he came over and rubbed against the nipples of the bear-tiger that caused his entire body to shudder. “Luckily I have just the thing in order to make sure that it happens.” With the gag still in place Bastion couldn’t say anything and could only shift in his restraints as he saw the drone walk over to a nearby table and pull out a box before coming back with it. Bastion’s eyes widened when he saw that it was a pair of bar piercings, and given where the drone had just touched he knew where they were going to go.
Bastion snorted into the mask as he felt the drone press against his nipples a few more times before taking out the jewelry, which as he attempted to hold his head up the hybrid could see the sensitive flesh glistened in the light now. At least it was going to be easy to pierce, he thought to himself as he watched the first one start to push up against the nub of rubberized flesh. While he originally felt nothing when the bar was finally slipped through and capped it came with a surge of pleasure that coursed through his system, causing him to squeeze his eyes shut tight as with the bar came a wash of new information over his mind. It was like Minos was directly connected to the jewelry as the bull drone wasted little time in putting in the second one that caused his cock to throb and his mind to become so inundated with pleasure that he briefly forgot his own name before the reality of the situation came crashing back down on him.
But just because he had been tricked didn’t mean that he had to just lie down and accept his face, though the straps made it hard to do anything but he realized that he still had some control over his goo powers still. As the bull drone used the table to separate his legs and gain access to his tailhole Bastion attempted to turn his rubber-covered hand to goo to slip the restraints, and while he could feel it working he found himself with another problem as the bull drone had gotten between his legs and was looking right down at him. If he sensed him escaping it would probably just end poorly for him, though as he started to sense more thoughts in his mind that weren’t his own, including one of letting this handsome rubber creature ride him, he tried to push back the corruption as best he could even as he felt something press up against his tailhole.
The transforming bear-tiger let out a muffled groan as the feeling of the rubber cock starting to slide inside of him also brought with it a greater connection to the maze, which was starting to manifest in more of his body starting to ripple and transform. Entire patches of his fur were starting to have the crimson rubber spreading on it and as he felt his tailhole get stretched it was also occurring around his midsection too. He remembered seeing the backside of the phoenix after he had been transformed and from the feel of it he was getting the same treatment, though what really drew his eyes was his cock as it started to thicken and swell while rubber crept up from the base. With every second his already decent length was growing thicker and longer while it transformed, the tip flaring out and a medial ring forming on it as it looked less like his own member and more like the dildo that his throat muscles were squeezing against.
Bastion could feel his window of escape closing rapidly as the changes that he could feel affecting his head were also taking his mind with it, especially as he began to forget things about himself while a pair of horns started to push up out of his skull. It was now or never and as he saw the bull drone’s back arch while pushing so deep inside him it was forming a lump in his latex abs he morphed both of his legs instead of his arms to goo. Fortunately they hadn’t become hooves yet or he wasn’t sure if this would work as he squeezed them out of their bindings and wrapped them around the drone, pushing him all the way in and trapping him by hilting his cock inside him. While it caused a heavy cascade of pleasure to roll through his own body that sped up his transformation he used it to change his hands next, which he found he had just enough power to squeeze them through as he pulled them up and used the fingers to pry the gag mask off of him.
Bastion let out a gasp as his fingers pressed against his face to find it had completely transformed; there was not an inch of his previous form left and as he looked at his ears he saw that they had started to stretch out while a pair of rubber horns grew behind it. While he still had his wits more than once while he was touching his face he found himself admiring it before he finally snapped out of it. The groaning bull drone was still trying to thrust into his tailhole but a simple push with his feet pulled out the entirety of the large rubber cock out of him, though it also nearly caused him to double over from his muscles clamping down when it happened. Despite almost falling off the massage table he rolled over and got back on his feet, which were one of the few things left on him that were still original as he ran out of the shop before the masseur had a chance to recover.
Bastion ran down the street as fast as he could for a while before he finally stopped, and when he did he found himself not even a little winded as he took stock of his situation. When he found a nearby storefront that had a reflective enough surface to look at himself in he saw a pair of crimson rubber eyes on a similarly hued bull head looking back at him. As he remembered what Minos looked like he found that he still had a little ways to go on his head and as he looked at the rest of himself there were still a few patches of fur left as well as his feet. What had changed completely was his midsection and groin, which given that was where the greatest amount of power was introduced he wasn’t surprised.
As he looked about the area that he had run to Bastion found himself in yet another part of the enveloped city, though as he watched the rubber bull drones moving about doing their own business he could almost sense where he was within it. It must be part of becoming Minos, Bastion thought to himself, and if he could exploit it to get back to the beginning or end of the maze then perhaps he could still get out. He wasn’t sure just how much of the transformation he had undergone would affect him outside of the mists, but at this point he sensed if he stuck around much longer he wouldn’t want to leave. As he began to walk down the street at a more leisurely pace he worried that the other bull drones would try to attack him like the one in the shop had, but either because they were unaware of his intentions or that he was so far corrupted to Minos the other citizens didn’t even bother him save for the occasional look of reverence or lust.
When Bastion attempted to focus on his newfound power he realized that there was something else that Minos could do, and that was sense every creature that was in his maze. He was amazed at how many people he had converted in his takeover of the city and as he focused on a few in particular he was also shocked at how happy they were to be a part of something that turned them into a muscular rubber bull drone. It was almost even more serene than the outside world; but as he realized that he was admiring his own work even though he had nothing to do with this place it reminded him of the corruption in his mind and looked for one in particular. Though he couldn’t sense the other Minos in The Maze he hoped that there was one that wasn’t quite there yet, and though it was hard to find he eventually managed to find the weak signal of Slypher wandering about.
The transforming phoenix was only a few blocks away, Bastion realized, but when he thought about going to see him the entire world seemed to rush about him. It only lasted a few seconds but when it stopped he suddenly found himself in an alley just off of the main street where Minos stood hovering over someone in the darkness that he assumed was Slypher. “Hey, Minos!” Bastion shouted, which prompted the crimson minotaur’s head to perk up but not turn around. “You leave the bird alone, we had a deal!”
When Bastion stomped up to the man and spun him around he let out a gasp as he found that this Minos had a beak instead of the usual bovine snout along with a few feathers still remaining on it. The wings of the phoenix were completely gone and with him turned around he saw that the large rubber bovine cock that had been lodged in the tailhole of the bull drone in front of him was almost identical to his own… except that it had a piercing right on the end of it that glinted in the light. “Oh wow,” Bastion said as he looked over Slypher’s body in amazement, which was looking eerily similar to his own. “This realm did a number on you.”
“You’re… Bastion?” Slypher said in question, which once more showed how deep the corruption of Minos went as the blue light of his eyes flickered slightly. “Oh, how is the mission going?”
“What mission?” Bastion replied, only to gasp when he remembered. “Gah, damnit, this place is getting to us! We need to get out of here right now, you have to use your power to get us out of this maze?”
There was a moment of pause as Slypher seemed to stare off into the distance for a second before he returned his focus to Bastion. “I don’t know why we would leave,” Slypher said with a disapproving look. “We’re the lords of The Maze as well as its protectors, and once we both are transformed we as Minos can move things onto the next phase. Just relax and enjoy being Minos, all will be made clear soon enough.
It was starting to become clear to Bastion that Slypher was a lost cause, but even with the power of Minos he found that he also couldn’t just leave the maze. It seemed that Minos was bound to this area just like everyone else was, which meant that he needed the phoenix to use his power in order to escape. “Hey, Slypher, I need you to get a grip on yourself for just a few seconds here,” Bastion said as he held onto the rubber shoulders of the other man, watching as his beak started to shift slightly in hue. “Please just reach down deep and find enough power to warp us out of here!”
Once more there was a pause, this one longer than before and as Bastion continued to hold the other man he could see the beak on the otherwise minotaur creature start to morph and soften. “Slypher?” the transforming creature asked as a small grin formed on his increasingly shiny crimson face. “Who’s that?”
Bastion quickly let go of the minotaur in horror as there was a moment of the latex creature thrashing his head about a few times, then stopped and looked up at the bear-tiger with crimson rubber eyes. With the phoenix gone he did the only thing he could think of doing and tried to get away, which once more he felt the world rushing around him before he found himself stopped in front of an apartment complex that upon inspection of his powers was almost directly in the center of The Maze. This was the home of Minos; in his rush to use his power to get away from Slypher, whom he could no longer detect anymore, his corrupted mind had brought him here as a place of safety instead of anywhere else.
Though he had an idea of what was inside Bastion found himself drawn to it, heading across the chipped pavement of the parking lot towards the double doors that were in the middle of it. The sensation of magic was incredibly strong here and was likely just as much the nexus of the magical energy as it was the center of the maze, which made sense to him since it would be the most defensible. He would have never found this place just wandering on his own and as he tried the door to see if it was locked it opened easily. Of course it would let him in, Bastion thought to himself as he walked inside, it was the house of Minos after all.
When Bastion got to the other set of double doors his jaws nearly dropped in shock at what he saw. The inside of the space was bigger than most cathedrals and was definitely beyond the dimensions of the building from the outside. As he walked forward he could see a number of bull drones walking about, which unlike the ones outside these were marked with the same symbol either on their foreheads or backs just like the one that the Minos he first met kept in tow, the one he called Ari. As he walked forward however what really caught his attention was the huge pile of plushies that surrounded the base of the massive bull statue that stood at the back of the cathedral while illuminated by the stained glass windows depicting Minos in all of them.
“Welcome to the center,” a voice said behind him, Bastion turning to see Minos standing there holding onto a familiar looking phoenix plushie. “This one was quite the interesting subject, I might have to put him in my room as part of my personal harem. Anyway it’s good to see you again Bastion.”
“Again… so you were the one that caught me before,” Bastion said, though seeing the rubber minotaur standing there in all his glory was making it hard for him to even think straight. “Are you the original Minos?”
“I am,” Minos replied with a chuckle. “Not that it really matters to any of us. Would you care to have a seat?”
Bastion found himself nodding as he walked over to the chair that was gestured towards, though as he did he felt his feet starting to grow stiff. Being this close to the source of power in this realm was likely corrupting him even further, though when he asked Minos why he wasn’t a version of him yet he just responded that he had matters to discuss first and was keeping the magic at bay. “So I know why you are here,” Minos said once they had a seat. “The question is, do you?”
“Of course, I’m… um…” Bastion faltered as he realized he hadn’t even been thinking about his mission ever since he had his encounter with… with… as he looked at the plushie that Minos still held he felt like it was someone similar to that, though his mind drew a blank. “I… don’t know why I’m here. I feel like it was important though.”
“It’s very important,” Minos replied as he leaned forward. “Do you remember who you are?”
“I’m Bastion,” Bastion replied quickly, almost startling himself with the speed of his recollection. “Wait, why do I remember that and nothing else? I don’t even remember what species I was… was I always a minotaur?”
“Mmmm, seems like the corruption is seeping into your mind more than I anticipated,” Minos replied as he sat back. “But it was as good a test as any; you see, the reason I need you to remember your name at times is because you have a very important task ahead of you. That name is going to get you the audience you need in order to state your case with those of the outside world in order to leave us alone, while you will be Minos you will still have that name in your mind for the purposes of identification so that they know who they’re talking to.”
“Wait, I’m representing us to the outside world?” Bastion replied, Minos nodding as he looked at him in shock. “But I thought that we, I mean you, couldn’t leave The Maze.”
“While it is true that the barriers of this realm keep us in as much as those who wander into our territory I happened to find a loophole that will get us around that,” Minos replied, shaking the plushie he was holding as the other rubber minotaur tilted his head in confusion while his horns continued to grow out on it. “Our newest Minos, besides you, still has the power to jump realms, which includes from this one into the real world. You can’t stay permanently but it should be enough to state the case that we’re happy where we are and unless they want to see just how far we can expand that they should leave us alone. What do you think of that plan?”
As Minos watched he could see that even he was unable to hold back the power of this place from affecting the other man as the last remaining fur disappeared from his body. A grunt escaped from the muzzle of the creature as he writhed about in his seat as his hooves fully formed from the merged toes, which scraped along the floor as his ears and horns stretched until finally they were the size of the one that watched. “Ugh… I think…” The newest rubber minotaur rubbed his hands against his face for a few seconds before they pulled away to reveal his crimson eyes as a smirk identical to the one sitting across from him stretched across his face. “I think that is a great idea, did I come up with it?”
“Technically yes,” the real Minos replied as he stood up, which prompted the identical man to do the same. “Now before you meet up with the Minos that can get you out of here there is one last thing that we must do, a little tradition that I’ve developed over time that I know that I enjoy. Plus you’re missing something that we need to rectify before you go out.”
Minos wasn’t sure what that was until the other one pointed down and he saw that his cock was unpierced, which as he realized he was different than the other bull it did seem to spark something within him. He wasn’t always a minotaur like he had just thought as he squeezed the thick shaft and felt a tremble of pleasure go through his body. There was something different about him and that was why he had come in here, in order to do something… but as he tried to concentrate on what it was it flowed out of him like water. All he could think about was how hot he was and how good it was to be the Lord of the Maze, though as he heard the other Minos say something about getting ready for his mission it started to stoke the flames of him remembering that he did have something vital to do…
…only to completely forget it as he felt several inches of minotaur cock get shoved into his tailhole at once, prompting his muscular body to arch back as he let out a bellow. The Minos behind him smirked as he watched the last of the light of Bastion fade out of his eyes, no longer even associating himself with the name and it becoming something that he would only remember once he was out of the maze. As he grabbed onto the thick hips of the minotaur he let out a groan of his own as he relished in the delight of rutting himself, seeing the body in front of him twitch as he continued to push in so deep that he caused the stomach of the other man to swell. When the other minotaur looked back their flexible bodies allowed them to meet in a deep kiss, which distracted the new Minos as the cock piercing was pushed into the twitching shaft before he began to stroke it just the way he knew he liked it.
******************************************************
A few days after the reported disappearance of Bastion inside The Maze those that had been waiting on his report decided that enough was enough and had set up a military checkpoint right on the edge of the evacuation zone. To their surprise when the magical creature disappeared, presumably with another potentially more powerful phoenix that they had plans to capture and study after The Maze had been dealt with, there was no more expansion in the misty borders like what usually happened. It made them wonder if perhaps their man was still around inside trying to find Minos, or perhaps he had caught him and was actively attempting to get rid of The Maze in order to escape. As time wore on however the option to use magical incendiaries in order to scorch out the pocket dimension were currently being hauled in to use on The Maze as the Humvees and tanks around the checkpoint moved around like angry bees.
“I’m telling you we probably won’t be able to set these things off while inside The Maze,” the ocelot that stood at the side of a digital map said as he pointed to the border of the city where a number of dots for projected locations of the explosives were. “We need to establish a perimeter and blast the entire thing from the outside! Plus there’s no telling what will happen if we wait for it to expand, what if takes over more of the city than we projected?”
“Your objection is noted Dan,” the lizardman at the front of the table said before he pushed a button that zoomed out the map. “But as you can see if we do an outside perimeter burst not only will it ignite every square inch of the city that we just evacuated but it’s going to be seen for miles. Do you know what will happen if people see a fireball that big on their own soil?”
“I imagine that it would not look good for you all,” a deep, resounding voice said, causing everyone in the tent to look up. Almost immediately the sound of guns being loaded could be heard before the two rubber minotaurs found themselves staring down the barrels of at least a dozen guns while the two just stood there with their arms crossed. “Now that’s a bit of an overreaction, don’t you think!”
“Security!” the lizardman shouted as both rubber creatures heard more people coming up behind them, though their eyes continued to remain on those that were up front as they could see them looking their bodies over. After they had teleported from The Maze the two Minos felt no need to put on clothing, letting their shiny pierced forms shine in the light of the sun, and while the two were identical one was a crimson red while the other was a bright cyan blue. Though it was a bit of a derivation from the usual color scheme the two that stood there were both Minos through and through, though as they waited for the initial reaction of the military to finish there was one name that floated in the crimson bull’s mind as planned.
Once everyone had settled in and the two Lords of the Maze could see that they were completely surrounded the crimson minotaur stepped forward with a smirk on his face. “Alright, listen up, I used to be the one known as Bastion that you sent into The Maze in order to try and take me out,” Minos explained as he kept his hands in the air. “While the bear-tiger wasn’t exactly up with what you had brought him there to do I can read between the lines, and what is more important is that you had him try to recruit another creature that I’m pretty sure you were going to betray and capture once this was all over. So while I would like to say that I’m here in order to tell you just how bad of a mistake that was, the real reason we’re here is so that we can negotiate the extraterritoriality of The Maze.”
“You want to have The Maze be your own territory?” The lizardman scoffed.
“Yes.” Minos replied, which only caused the reptilian creature to frown at how assured he was in it. “And for you to not blow it up like you’re thinking of doing with all those explosives out there. Considering all the lives you would take once the smoke cleared I would imagine that those citizens living out a better life would be more inclined to just stay with us, something that Bastion learned in his investigation.”
There was a moment of silence among those that were inside the tent as it was clear that these two identical bull men were not kidding around, and the fact that they were just standing there so calmly meant that their weapons didn’t scare them like they should. After a few moments the lizardman asked for the entire tent to get cleared out, which after a shout was quickly done as people scrambled to leave until only the lizardman was left in the presence of Minos. “You know that they’re never going to agree to something like that, right?” The lizardman said. “Even if you do somehow negotiate something there is nothing that is going to keep them to their word, especially considering the collateral damage that was about to be done.”
“Well, that is quite the shift in tone,” the crimson Minos stated.
“I used to live in those slums,” the lizardman replied. “So the fact that it seems like there’s someone out there that actually gives a damn about them makes me a little more amiable to you despite your… lack of decorum.” Once more the lizardman looked them up and down and as the two shrugged they stifled a grin as they saw the army man turn around and adjust himself before turning back. “Anyway it sounds like you’re telling the truth and whatever is going on there to make you guys the way you are can’t be a worse fate than what was there before, but we have strict instructions and they’re only going to listen to you long enough to get what they want for you before they shut down The Maze with or without your help.”
“Let us worry about that Captain,” the blue Minos replied. “Go ahead and make the call, we’ll wait here for you. I would imagine since we haven’t done anything thus far that we earned a bit of privacy to talk while you do?”
The lizardman just nodded and walked out of the tent, and as soon as he disappeared behind the flap the two found a set of chairs and sat down. “An unlikely ally in a place like this,” the crimson Minos replied as the calm looks on their faces were replaced with anger as they looked at the digital map. “Just as we thought, if Bastion didn’t come back then they were going to blow the entire city maze.”
“It appears we were right all along,” the blue Minos said as he leaned back. “What the Captain had said was also true, there is no way that they would allow something like The Maze to stand in this city, which means we are going to have to resort to more… drastic measures as their punishment.”
“It appears so,” the crimson Minos replied, licking his lips as he let his anger burn and turn to malicious glee. “Fortunately with the power we gained from the last two they’re not the only ones that have stocked up a bit of firepower… and once we’ve made sure that those who deserve it are mere bull drone slaves nuzzling at our hooves we can decide what to do next.”
“Of course,” the blue drone said as they both chuckled before he looked at the tent flap that the lizardman had left from. “I think we should make the Captain another Minos though, perhaps he can help us handle all the new drones. While he’s not really magical in nature I think we can make an exception in this case.”
“You know what,” the crimson Minos said as they both had an identical smile on their faces. “That’s exactly what I was thinking we do also. I guess it’s true what they say, great minds do think alike...”
