Notes:
Vector is an introvert, he values his alone time. Time spent with family, both blood kin and Team Blindguard, counts as “alone time” for him. Vector has always been the one of his siblings to act boldly and confidently. They think of him as their “action hero.” Karen says he has “balls of tungsten steel!” (Since the beating he needs Blindspot in his life to be confident.)
Vector's telekinesis is short range. He can psychically affect things up to about his own body length away, (occasionally further.) He can lift things up to about his own body weight, (including himself, although he hasn't learned to "fly" yet.), push and pull thingsa little heavier. He can effect very small things; he can rearrange atoms, although he mainly uses this to make small, precise cuts, for instance to the wires in his enemies' devices.
Perhaps ironically, Vector failed grade 11 chemistry and dropped it for “Home Ec” in 12.
Vector was severely assaulted by Toronto police. Korps doctors were able to put him back together so that he appears to be none the worse for wear. In fact his body is partially augmented with electronic and mechanical parts.
NB. Vector has a rare severe alergy to the metabolic accelerator used in Empire Enhancements healing tanks, including alternative formulas; exposure causes anaphylactic shock. If injured, he would be treated by a Korps registered healer instead, usually Jeffy. (see)
Both his hips and his left knee, elbow and shoulder are artificial. (restored in “Changes”)
Both his fibula were shattered. They were replaced with stainless steel springs. He can jump more than twice as high and far as he could before the beating.
Some of the bones in his left wrist are artificial. He has been warned that he will tend to have carpal tunnel syndrome or arthritis in that hand. (He is right-handed.) (restored in “Changes”)
His face will be held together by titanium staples for a year until the bones finish knitting. For now the bones are stronger in some directions, weaker in others. (restored in “Changes”)
His front teeth are regrown, but have a slight gap that catches food and whistles if he isn't careful. After all the staples are removed he will have to wear braces at night.
His ears are reinforced with wires to restore mobility and keep him from going "lop eared." The wires act as antennas for a repeater in his scalp that extends ROSE's range when she has to use 5G. Bits of his ears had to be regrown, his fur came in black in those spots. (He thinks the effect is cute; he’s right.)
The retinas in both his eyes became detached. He has a roughly keyhole shaped patch of vision in his left eye, none in his right eye. This is proving to be a challenge for even Korps medicine to fix but his ophthalmic surgeons haven't given up. In the meantime he sees with his RCGs. (His vision is restored in “Changes.”)
Part of his liver had to be removed. It is expected to regrow completely. Luckily the bile duct was not involved.
One of his kidneys is artificial. It can remove any known poison from his blood. (It was supposed to be temporary while the Korps hospital cloned his unrepairable kidney, but he liked the artificial one better so they implanted it.) He recharges it by laying on a Qi pad overnight every few days, more if it protects him from poison. If he can't recharge, his remaining kidney is adequate until he can.
The post traumatic stress disorder caused by the beating is more serious than the physical injuries, most of which have already been repaired. Vector's confidence is broken. He is hyper vigilant; he watches everyone around him, jumps at noises and doesn't like leaving his apartment. He has terrible nightmares most nights in which he relives the horrible beating. ROSE can soothe him and help him get back to sleep. Helping him recover from the trauma is taking more time. She administers talk therapy assisted by mind control after every dream. (She could simply wash his brain of the incident, but considers the ethics dubious. By helping him recover on his own instead, she believes that he will be stronger in the end.) He takes a single, timed-release, low does MDMA capsule in the morning to deal with stress; ROSE can administer more transdermally from his RCGs if he needs it during missions. (K-Molly contains additives that makes it safer than the pure drug. It’s still not wise to stay on it for too long. Vector has been nearly weaned off of it by “Other People’s Hearts.”)
NB. Vector’s PTSD makes his memory poisonous to his sister’s telepathy; she would get it, too. This will change after she’s had training.
Vector's condition improves dramatically when he falls in love with Blindspot. When his big badger is near he is confident and brave. ROSE hopes that the improvement will carry forward when he is alone, especially since he does not seem to need Blindspot's actual help that much, just his presence.
Vector is vain. He is a true “bnuuy”; very beautiful and very attractive and he knows it. He loves being admired and is vulnerable to flattery. He blushes and gets all lustered, but he loves it! You can bring him to orgasm with praise, alone or with additional stimulation.
Vector enjoys submitting to dominance in sex play, but has little patience with it beyond the bedroom door. He’s especially defiant of people who throw around weight they don’t own. He despises bullies. Cops and capes are his personal enemies because they do “own their weight” but in his opinion they don’t deserve it.
Vector and his litter-mate siblings used foul language when their parents weren’t around to hear. Vector stopped cussing after being assaulted by police. He says that he couldn’t find language strong enough to express how it made him feel. However, he finds it easy to use foul language around his siblings., (to Blindspot’s annoyance.)
