Micro May Day 15: Made to Order
This story's prompt was: Mouthplay fantasy. An orc gets a uninvited guest for lunch.
I hurry as fast as my tiny legs can take me. I was once a proud warrior cut down to size after making fun of a gnome. Now I had to run to the nearby tavern for help. The Gilded Griffin was the biggest and best one in the whole town! Someone had to be able to help me here. The only problem is getting someone to notice me in the most busy tavern.
Loud, energetic conversation all around as I try to wave someone down. It doesn't take long that I have to dive under a table to avoid being stepped on.
"This isn't going to work." I say to myself. I look around for some kind of idea. "If I can just get up to the bar, someone will have a better chance to see me." I had some climbing gear in my adventuring pack. So all I had to do was sneak by without someone running into me.
I wait for my opening; it takes a while, but I make a mad dash as soon as it seems like everyone is settled. I take my gear out and start climbing. It wasn't the first time I had to do something like this for a quest, but it felt like climbing a tall mountain.
I reach the top and catch my breath. Only to be knocked away, but the tavern owner slamming down two mugs. I end up landing on a tray of one of the servers. A plate of chicken and a drink are next to me. The tray is set down, and a strong-looking orc is about to dig in.
"Excuse me, can I get some help?!" I try to wave at him, but he doesn't respond. I try to get a better vantage point and end up falling in his food. The giant green fingers happen to pick me out next, and I scream as I enter his maw. I roll around to avoid being chewed and hold on for dear life.
The orc notices something wrong when something furry is moving on his tongue. He picks me out and takes a good look at me. He is confused about this whole thing.
"What were you doing in my food?" He asks.
"I didn't mean to; I was trying to get your attention and fell in! Now, can you help me?"
"You are just a little bite-sized man. Why should I do that?"
I was stunned. I wasn't used to being talked down like that. Or even. I heat up and get angry after everything I just went through. "Don't you know who I am?! I'm-"
I'm cut off by a green finger pinning me down while the orc gives me a smug grin. "Way I see it, that doesn't matter anymore." He picks me up again and tosses me back into his mouth, rolling me around on his tongue. Sucking lightly and trying to savor me before spitting me back out.
I try something else, hoping to get the man to help, not caring about what it took anymore. "Please, if you just get me to someone that can fix this, I will pay you whatever you want."
The orc looks like he is really thinking about it. I'm not sure if he really is, or just trying to make me squirm. "Alright deal, but you are mine until then. I never said I would be in a rush. I had some fun with you."
I started to reel after hearing what he said. This was going to be the longest period of my life.
