Based on the Kalos Fairy gym battle from the anime

It was turning out to be quite the spectacle! A pink fairy staring at a tiny bird, and vice versa! Crowds of people were all around watching the spectacle as they forgot all about their society's woes! Two trainers could be seen on the sidelines, the human wanting to be a mon named Valerie, and the idiot Ash Ketchum! Many people on the sidelines were wearing memorabilia of their favorite trainer, and the occasional dust cloud can be seen in the bleachers as brawls broke out! Irrational cheering could be heard as they watched the two simply stare at each other!

"Fletchinder! Use Steel Wing!" the bitch of Pallet Town said, breaking the stare down! That bird obeyed, flying towards that Sylveon keeping her wings straight! Ash might be dumb, but at least he was able to teach his favorite bird how to make her wings act like steel girders!

That Sylveon was not expecting that, getting hit with the super effective force of that Steel Wing! The crowd went wild, and the Charizard lovers shot fireworks in the air as they roared! Retaliating with a quick Disarming Voice, the bird takes a little damage while Valerie and the Sylveon figure out what to do next! They knew the bird would likely try the super effective move again, but the Fairy trainer had an idea! Communicating with her favorite Pokemon by saying his name over and over, the two were ready!

Ash, having the three brain cells he has, decides to use likely the worst possible move! "Fletchinder! Use Peck!" The two initially were dumbfounded, exchanging looks with each other wondering how this moron was lauded across five regions, yet chose such a poor move! That bird didn't seem to be holding anything, so Acrobatics, a move that surely the bitch of Kanto knew about, would be much better for her. You see, even such an inept Pokemon battler such as myself knows better than freaking Ash Ketchum! But anyways, their confused look turned into determination as they knew that bird didn't stand a chance!

The Fletchinder obeyed her dumb trainer, and flew right towards the Sylveon! But the fairy dodged right out of the way, grabbing the birds with his ribbons! What followed was a figurative massacre! He slammed the bird against the ground from side to side, and made her dizzy when he spun his ribbons around right in the air! That bird sure did take quite a bit of damage, wincing with each crack she made in the ground, while being a bit disoriented to notice the length of the ribbons shortening as she was brought closer to the Sylveon!

Valerie herself didn't tell her fairy to bring the bird closer to himself as the bird tried to get her bearings! Wondering what he was doing, her eyes widened as she heard a panicked chirp from that bird

"No! Not again!" she shouted as that fairy's maw engulfed that bird's head! An audible gasp could be heard from the crowd as they were now watching a Sylveon swallow a Fletchinder whole! It didn't take too much effort to have the rest of the bird slide in his mouth as he tilted his head up! The usually cheerful Ash Ketchum was initially in complete shock as he watched his bird friend vanish between the lips of that voracious fairy, horrified as he saw cheek bulges that indicated his friend was inside a Sylveon! He was obviously savoring that bird's taste and even purred a little!

Aside from Valerie fruitlessly trying to convince her fairy to release him, Ash was too broken to suggest anything to his bird friend, and the crowd was completely silent, trying to process the sight! It was up to the bird to do something, otherwise she would soon go down the fairy's neck! Panicking, she tried a Flame Charge to burst out of his face! The Sylveon would shut his eyes as he tried to keep his overheated maw closed, but it was enough force to poke her head out! He could try to gulp her down, but she had enough strength to try her moves still! So he hatched something different!

Loosening his grip a little, he let that bird wriggle her way out! The bird was too panicked to notice the unexpected leniency and fought desperately to get out of this slimy prison! It took about fifteen seconds, but with a final push, she found her entire form completely outside! But try as she might to fly away, the Sylveon was completely prepared! In a split second, he used Fairy Wind! But it wasn't flowing outwards as normal! It acted as a suction breath!

That bird's flight would slow as that pink glittery vortex rushed right into his wide open maw, while simultaneously weakening the bird! She was around 7 feet away until her movement stopped entirely! The fairy's inhale just got too strong!

The bird had a panicked expression as she accelerated right into the fairy's maw, and within seconds, her entire form once again felt the warmth of the Sylveon's tight insides! This time, her bottom half was bulging out and wriggling in the tight gullet of the blissful Sylv, and she had a slim view of the outside world sandwiched between the fangs of the hungry fairy! Struggle as she might, it was hopeless at this point!

The whole venue was silent as the fairy tilted his head up and swallowed her down in one gulp! Now having a slightly sagging stomach full with an entire wriggly Fletchinder! The crowd at this point was in a mass hysteria, running out of the stadium while throwing tables along the way for good measure! Chairs were flying, and the Sylveon himself had to deflect one of them with his ribbons, twisting the chair around and tossing it like that ultra instinct Waffle House chair deflection! As his gaze fell upon that foolish guy with a Charizard hoodie who threw the chair, the middle aged fan bravely ran away in a panic!

After the chaos, Valerie could only stammer "I'm... I'm sorry..."

"Your Pokemon ate my friend... I didn't sign up for this..." Ash replied

"Um actually, you kinda did... did you not read the fine print? It clearly stated that Sylveons are allowed to defeat its foes by digesting them... though certainly, it's less than ideal..."

"What? Less than ideal? Tell him to spit her out!"

"He's never freed a mon he's ingested... tell you what. You may be an idiot, but you certainly have more control of your Pokemon. Why don't I give you a badge for that?"

"I want my friend back..."

Meanwhile, that Sylveon was now laying on his side with a satiated smile! The fairy watched and felt in bliss as that poor bird struggled to stay above acids, bulging out his belly greatly!

"Well, all I could do for you is offer a badge. I'm sorry about your mon, but she's going to be part of my team now..."

Ash was in disbelief at what just transpired! He thought this was going to be a fun battle, but now he's witnessing the death of his bird friend while those struggles imprinted on the Sylvie's stomach slowed! And no one was doing anything about it! All he could do was walk up and accept the badge in silence! Looks like he'll have a lot of trauma to work through! He'll probably rethink his life now, knowing the real reason why this gym is such a roadblock...

Before he would leave though, he would look at the fairy's nearly still belly, and said "May I at least say goodbye?"

"Of course. Just be careful... mons aren't the only thing he's been known to eat..."

"What? How could you call yourself... you know what, never mind..." he says as he catches himself from arguing once more! His bird friend didn't have much time after all!

As he walked up carefully, that fairy at first seemed to be too much in a bliss to notice or care about the human walking up to him! The Sylv's belly was pretty stagnant at this point, and the bird was likely to go unconscious any second now from all of the acids and churns working on her! "May I?" Ash says as the fairy tilts his head in surprise for a few seconds before resting his head once more!

With tears in his eyes, he gently petted the rounded out bulge where that bird was, saying "Goodbye my friend..." as a few tears dropped onto that fairy's side! He spent a minute on his knees, softly crying over that Sylveon!

The fairy was clearly taken aback about how much this tiny bird meant to Ash! He's used to humans seeing their mons as disposable, so he didn't feel bad about snagging a mon or two! Ash would find one of the fairy's feelers gently wrapped around his arm, and he looked to see the fairy himself having a sorrowful expression, whether it be from feeling his raw emotion or from guilt in general. The fairy knew that he couldn't bring the Fletchinder back, but he could try to briefly comfort Ash with his soothing aura. Ash himself could feel as if the fairy was saying "I'm sorry..."

After a few moments, Ash got up, still with tears in his eyes as he walked out with badge in hand. The gym leader, now walking to her Sylveon who was getting pudgier by the minute, said "Poor guy... please promise me you won't eat another's mon again..." in his language, to which he replied with a solemn nod
