A Scooping of Sweets
Two poems in one day, just like the first time I posted this. I consider this one more of a palette cleanser poem. A short and sweet in between sort of poem.
A Scooping of Sweets
It sits there in front of you
A dessert that looks divine
And you think to yourself I can’t wait for that to be all mine
So you grab your spoon
To not rush or move too soon
And dig into that sweet richness
The many different layers and textures with their thickness
Dessert is something where you want to savor every bite
And that first complex scoop is usually one that fills with delight
