Anicetus had never been so teased in his life. The centaur had been tied up, his hands behind his back, a shibari pattern over his majestic equine form. To top it all off, he was blindfolded. His only sensations come from the delicate breeze against his skin and hide, as well as the feelings that his companion, the kobold wizard Tik Tik, deigns he should feel.
For a time, those feelings came from applying a toy to his beasthood, a synthetic thing that felt almost like the real thing. They had been working on making him less likely to break a woman by bareback fucking her—a noble effort for the centaur, to be sure, but one that had been strangely interrupted.
He hears the same sounds that make Tik Tik pause. It is the clopping of hooves, the arrival of some other travelers. His ears flutter. That’s not the sound of a horse. Nor is it a centaur. What could it be?
“Tik Tik,” He grunts, fighting against his bindings. “Release me, quickly.”
Tik Tik pulls the toy away from Anicetus, standing beside him on their little patch of camp off the beaten path. In one hand, she holds the slightly used toy, and in the other, she charges up a spell, standing naked before whatever newcomers might come to bother them.
What appears before them is a majestic, master-crafted, gleaming metal horse. It is smooth, and its joints move with such natural grace. The one who made it had focused much care and attention on the gleaming bronze thing. But the question is, who exactly made it?
That question is answered almost immediately, as the head hisses at the neck and pulls back, and poking out from the stump is a small creature with brown fur and orange hair. The dik-dik smirks down at Tik Tik, leaning forward on the machine she had undoubtedly made, her badass entrance marred by the sweat dampening her fur and the deep, gulping breaths she takes in her initial reveal.
“Ah, how the, ah, hell are ya, ah, Tik Tik?”
Tik Tik drops the toy and throws her hand forward, sending a blast of magical energy at the intruder.
A magical shield emerges from nowhere, deflecting the attack and sending the energy striking the tree to which Anicetus is tied. The thing falls back, crackling and cracking, pulling the centaur back.
He yelps and kicks about as he’s flung away from the battle, though the crashing and the change in orientation help him wriggle his way out of some of his bindings. “Tik Tik, what’s going on. Who is this?”
“Who are we?” asks the dik-dik in the driver’s seat, holding her chin between her index finger and thumb. “Why, we are the illustrious pair, the great Lerato and Lovemore!”
“They robbed Tik Tik,” the kobold snaps, flinging the toy at Lerato. “It’s their fault that we’re on this quest to begin with.”
Lerato takes the toy to the forehead, shouting a quick and real “Ow, fuck!” before she clutches her head and offers a vulgar gesture in Tik Tik’s direction. “Listen, wizard. You were hoarding some amazing tech all for yourself. Of course, someone was going to steal it. Just be glad you were burgled by the best and not by some second-rate hacks.”
“What are you doing here now?” Tik Tik growls, her hands crackling with magical energy. “Here to gloat!”
“No, here to loot!” Lerato responds. “And you’re a bit late to the party.”
Tik Tik’s eyes widen. She whirls around, throwing a crackling energy bolt that zips past Anicetus. The centaur flinches, yelping and then snarling in Tik Tik’s direction. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“Do you have the package!?”
“Of course I… wait…” he gropes with his bound hands. The package they carried to its destination was held to his human back. The falling tree and the strange encounter left him without the box, just the straps over his shoulders.
Hopping onto the horse is a second dik-dik. This one has blue and tamer hair. He sits on the back, crossing one leg over the other and holding the box in one hoofed hand, offering a wink to them. “Thanks for the treasure, Tik Tik. It’s a real treat to steal from you twice.”
The machine opens, and the dik-dik drops inside, swallowing him as it returns to its natural shape. Lerato kisses Tik Tik before shutting the neck with a loud slam.
Steam shoots out from all over the machine, and Tik Tik pulls up a magical barrier, keeping the heated water vapor from scalding her. She snarls as she watches the two turn heel and run away.
“Those cowards won’t fight Tik Tik fair and square!” she says, gritting her teeth. She snaps her fingers, and all of the bindings that are on Anicetus rip off the centaur, wrapping around his one shoulder as an extended length of rope. “Let’s get going, Anicetus. We need to catch up to them!”
“They appear rather fast,” says the centaur, clopping up to Tik Tik. “There’s no way I could catch up to them as we are.”
Tik Tik smriks, hands on her hips. She wiggles her eyebrows and looks up at him. “Grab the harness, Anicetus. WE aren’t going as we are—we’re going after them,” she pauses, just enough for dramatic effect, “together!”
Tik Tik watches with frustrated growling as the dik-diks disappear down the road, snapping his fingers and summoning the sturdy straps that make up the harness she and Anicetus used for their previous coupling. “Alright, Ani, we have to make sure we catch them. I’m not letting them get away from me a second time.
Anicetus watches them, nodding toward Tik Tik, standing tall before her. “I am ready.”
Using her magical ability, Tik Tik carries and weaves the harness around his body, donning it like ceremonial armor. In a way, it is, though she finds herself focused and quick in its strapping, making him grunt as she tightens it around him.
