Jurassic Flu, Chapter 2
A story for Gryphus1 Gryphus1 This also takes place in the same universe as The Tiger and the Cat, and although the events follow what happened in the last chapter you won't be completely lost. As a warning, there are some spoilers for that story line. Two days after the Lunar New Year festival, Lexi and Cynthia return to their jobs at the University museum, handling the Canadian winter as well as a pair of anthro-dinos can. After recent events on campus, their boss and mentor, Peter, has some unpleasantness policy changes he needs to share with them.
Cynthia was at her bathroom sink taking care of her teeth. It was a bit more involved than it used to be. Her regular toothbrush still worked, she just had larger and sharper teeth to work it over. Cynthia had to replace her floss with a water pick, it just worked better. She smiled in the bathroom mirror as she inspected her teeth. She was still surprised sometimes how quickly she had gotten used to her new face, let alone the rest of her body. Cynthia took a few moments to adjust the feathers in her crest before leaving her bathroom to get dressed.
While she was at home, the deinonychus didn’t bother with clothes, instead she just relied on her feathers. It didn’t really feel like she was a nudist exactly, it was just she felt adequately covered in her feathers. Her friend and fellow anthro, Lexi, would just wear a hoodie with the sleeves cut off around her apartment like a vest because she still ‘needs the pockets’.
Even if there was no concern about public decency, Cynthia wasn’t about to step out into a harsh Canadian winter in just her feathers. She started by wrapping her feet with athletic wraps, the same kinds used by martial artists for their hands and feet. So far it was the best solution she had for footwear. Cynthia then pulled on long heavy legwarmers that covered most of her lower legs. She wrapped a modified long skirt around her waist. It both accommodated her hips and tail, allowing the massive limb to sway easily without mooning the rest of the university. Cynthia covered her chest with a loose fitting vest.
Satisfied with how she looked in the mirror, she gathered up her things into her messenger bag as she waited for Lexi to arrive at her apartment. It wasn’t long before she heard a familiar knock on her front door. She grabbed her coat off the hook and opened the door, where a smiling allosaurus was waiting for her.
“Morning, ready to go? She asked.
Lexi was wearing a long coat, with a sizable slit up the back to accommodate her tail. Her tail was wrapped in a series of scarves against the chilly morning air. She was wearing a custom hat and gloves her grandmother had crocheted for her.
“Yeah, let’s get going.” Cynthia said as she quickly zipped up her jacket.
They hurried to Lexi’s car. From the outside it looked like a regular minivan, but it had been modified to better accommodate Lexi and by extension Cynthia as well. The pair entered through the sliding doors in the back. Lexi slid into the driver’s seat, designed to still be completely safe while having an open section for her tail. By the time she had buckled her seat belt Cynthia was settling into the passenger seat. The middle section of seats were removed, leaving the space open for their long tails. Lexi settled her foot onto the custom pedals and put the car into gear.
“I don’t miss waiting for the bus on days like this.”
“I don’t know how you managed riding a bus those first few days after quarantine.”
“It wasn’t pleasant for me or the other passengers. Though now at least I have better control over my tail.”
“Yeah, I knocked over so much stuff at my place right after I grew mine.”
“Anyway, Thanks for the rides to work and school, I really appreciate it.”
“No problem, us dino-girls gotta stick together, right?”
Cynthia rolled her eyes while Lexi giggled at her own joke.

The trip onto the Edward University campus was uneventful, and before long Lexi was parking in the staff lot for the museum. They hurried from the car to get inside and out of the cold. They stowed their coats and accessories in their lockers before heading to Peter's lab and office. Cynthia was surprised to find he wasn’t there.
“Since when do we beat Peter into work?” She asked after making sure he wasn’t in the attached office.
“We didn’t; I saw his four-by-four in the parking lot. He’s definitely somewhere in the museum.”
“Looks like he got pulled into some kind of meeting.” Cynthia said when she spotted a note stuck to her monitor.
***
Peter was never a fan of morning meetings, or meetings in general for that matter. He felt they got in the way of the actual work of research and teaching. He sat across the table in a conference room from David Hamilton, the director. The assistant director, Maeve Law, was there as well, but she seemed to be distracted by something on her laptop. The fact that no other faculty members were in attendance also made Peter feel a little nervous.
To what do I owe the pleasure?” Peter said wanting to get things over with.
“There has been an, ah, incident on campus. Are you familiar with Dr Natasha Somnem from the history department?”
“I never met her personally, but I think everyone on campus knows about our resident white tiger professor.”
“The University has recently discovered she was having an, ah, effect on her students.”
Peter raised an eyebrow. “Care to clarify that?”
Law sighed loudly. “Just say it, David , she was turning her students into anthros.”
“What?”
“I don’t believe it was intentional, but there is something about Dr Somnem’s presence, especially recently, that was causing her students to, to…”
“Grow tails and fur.” Law finished for him.
“I see. And what is the university doing about this situation?”
“Dr Somnem has been let go, as she was the epicenter of the anthrofication, at least in the history department.” The assistant director answered.
“What does that have to do with me?”
“Peter,” Director Hamilton leaned forward in his seat, “you are the direct supervisor of Lexi Taylor, and we know she has passed on her condition to Cynthia Hunter.”
“Now hold on, CIHR has cleared them both to continue to work and attend school here.”
“I am very much aware of the report,” Director Hamilton tapped a folder on his desk, “I read every word of it three times. It is also against both national and university policy to discriminate against Anthro Canadians.”
“I feel like there is a ‘but’ coming.”
“We also have to do our best to contain any form of contagious anthrofication, magical, biological, or any other conceivable way.” Law continued.
“And how does this affect me and my students?”
“Although no one else in the department has seemed to catch the so-called Jurassic Flu, it’s only a matter of time before another immune-compromised individual comes in contact with Ms Taylor or Ms Hunter. For the time being, we are asking for them to stay isolated, remaining in the lab and the new break room.
“I thought the break room was only a temporary measure, that’s what I was assured of.”
“Peter, please.” The director rubbed his forehead, “Things have changed. As much as we have sympathy for them, we need to prevent any further transformations. As for their classes, the university is allowing them distance learning options.”
Peter rubbed his face with his hand. “For how long are they expected to study and work under these restrictions?”
“Until there is some way to eliminate either the spread or presence of the contagion."
“We will be sending an email to Ms Taylor and Ms Hunter with the university’s decision on this matter.”
“A cold impersonal email, perfect. Just what they need.”
“Peter…”
“Don’t worry, I’ll do the dirt work of breaking the news to them.” He sat up from his chair. “If you’ll excuse me, I have work to do.”
Peter left the conference room and made his way to the elevator. Not discriminating my ass! He thought as he slammed the down button. Next thing you know, they'll be putting bells around their necks like lepers. Not to mention if they fired Somnem, the next professor to pop a tail and ears will be on the chopping block. Deep breaths, deep breaths. The girls have enough going on, I’ve got to be there to support them, especially once they see that email.
The elevator opened at the first basement level and Peter stepped out. He entered the lab and found Lexi and Cynthia already working on cataloging new samples.
“Morning Peter, how was your meeting?” Cynthia called out from a workbench.
“As good as any unplanned meeting can go.” He shook his head. “Don’t worry about that, how was the festival?”
“It was great you should have come,” Lexi said as she slid a rack of samples into a shelf, “the Mongolian beef poutine was amazing.”
Peter held up his hands. “Sorry, I’m a staunch traditionalist when it comes to poutine.”
“Yes, thank you.”Cynthia chimed in. “There was plenty of great food though, and the fireworks were beautiful.”
“I’ll bet, but I needed to finish that paperwork, especially if I’m going to get you two out to the dig this summer. Maybe next year.”
“A pair of dinosaurs, digging up dinosaurs. Pictures and videos of that are going to go viral.” Lexi chuckled.
“Yeah, probably…” Peter knew he was going to have to talk about the policy changes with them, but he hated to squash such a good mood. “Hey, I hate to stop a productive morning, but I’m going to have to have a little meeting with you two. Let me get some coffee and pastries from the cafeteria and we can talk in the break room.”
“Sure thing, we’’l meet you there.”
The break room used to be a small lab. It had been relegated to storage decades ago until recently when it was cleared out, given a fresh coat of paint and several small kitchen appliances had been added. Peter knew it was because the other staff were nervous about sharing dining space ever since Cynthia caught the same bug as Lexi. However, he did find it convenient to have someplace to eat his lunch closer to his lab.
By the time Peter arrived with a tray of pastries and three large coffees, Lexi and Cynthia had read the email. He was relieved that they seemed to be taking it well.
“I guess that means when I’m not working I can just attend class virtually from my apartment, I mean that’s kind of nice in the winter, right?” Cynthia asked.
“If we’re going to be stuck in here indefinitely for lunch, I’m bringing in an air fryer. I’m not making nuggets in the microwave.”
“Just don’t blow any circuits, we don’t want to be on the facilities' bad side.” Her friend quickly responded.
Peter let himself get distracted by the girls planning out where to put the air fryer in the break room. Without thinking, he grabbed Lexi’s cup of coffee and took a sip. He realized his mistake immediately once he tasted the flavored creamer.
“Oh, geeze, sorry Lexi. I didn’t mean to drink from your cup. I can dump it and get you another one.”
“It’s not a big deal, it was almost empty anyway. Besides, you paid for it.”
“Are you sure? I don’t mind.”
“Relax, it’s fine.“Now if you took a bite out of my donut, then there would be trouble.” She picked up a donut and tossed it into her mouth whole, “So, before we get back to the lab, what should we be working on today?”
“The cataloging you were already doing is fine, we needed to get it done sooner or later. After that I have some samples that need to be properly dated. After that, I, I-” Peter was cut off by a huge sneeze.
“Bless you!’ Cynthia sounded concerned.
“Damn, that’s a bigger sneeze than I have with this snout.” Lexi tapped the tip of her muzzle.
Peter used a spare napkin to whip his nose. “They say the older you are, the louder your sneeze.”
“Is that real science, or is it like that big foot thing?” Cynthia smirked.
Peter laughed but then quickly covered his nose for another sneeze. “There must be something in the dust here.” He said as he got up.
Peter managed a few steps, but then his joints started to ache. He winced and tried to work out the kinks.
“Peter? Are you ok?” Cynthia was concerned now. As she reached out to touch his shoulder her amber eyes went wide. “You feel warm.” She then placed the back of her scaled hand against his forehead. “God! You’re burning up!”
“Sit back down,” Lexi forced him back into a chair.
“It’s alright, just a little cold I’ll be fine.” His head was throbbing by now and he leaned over putting his head into his hands. “I just need something for this headache and a few minutes.”
“You should go home.” Lexi sighed, “But you can’t exactly drive like this.”
“Just help me to my office, I’ll take some painkillers and try to relax. I’ll go home as soon as I can drive, ok?”
The pair of saurians exchanged a worried look, but they helped their boss and mentor up and back into his office. Peter groaned loudly as he plopped into his desk chair.
“I think I still have some paracetamol in my locker, I’ll go get that.” Cynthia said once he was settled.
“How about I make a nice cup of tea, Hmm?” Lexi patted his shoulder. “That should help.”
“Sure, sounds great.” Peter said with a slightly shaky voice.
They closed the door on their way out, leaving Peter alone in his office. He did his best to control his breathing, but there was something that felt off about the entire situation. Peter had felt fine yesterday, and woke up early in the morning feeling perfectly well. Usually Peter would feel a tickle in the back of his throat before he was hit full force with a cold or the flu.
It’s a good thing I finished that paperwork two nights ago. Peter thought as he rubbed his temples. As he did so, he realized something felt wrong with his fingers. Pulling them back he noticed his skin was taking on a dull grayish green color and the texture became rough and scale-like. His nails were also growing thicker and heavier.
“Oh god…this can’t be happening now…” He whispered aloud.
Peter felt the muscles all throughout his body starting to twitch, and his bones felt like they were starting to crack and pop. He fell out of his chair and onto the cold concrete floor. Peter felt his body growing bigger by the second, his clothes growing almost unbearably tight. He fumbled with his belt, but his hands felt too large and he had difficulty getting it loose. By then his khaki slacks were already starting to rip and tear around his legs.
Though the tears in his pants, more of the gray-green scales were visible, spreading across his pale skin like spilled paint on canvas. The back of his pants and the shorts underneath were blown out by a thick powerful tail forcing itself out from the base of his spine. As it grew to its full length, Peter felt an itchy prickly sensation from the base of his skull to nearly the tip of his tail. He curled on his side and gripped his shoulder tightly as he felt something, or rather many things start to push their way out of his back.
With Peter’s flannel shirt already stretched tight, it didn’t take that much to split it up the back. Rising out the torn slit, a series of dermal plates emerged. They ran down his neck and back and even down his new thick tail. At the tip of his tail, four bony spikes pushed out, making the powerful tail a deadly weapon.
As the torn and shredded clothing fell away from his body, Peter couldn’t help noticing the raging erection. At the same time his balls were being pulled into his body. A slit formed around the base of the now bright pink tapered shaft. After seeing the now much larger origin staring at him, he felt a growing need as new hormones flooded his transforming body. The rational part of his mind said he shouldn’t, but in the end the animalistic need took over. He gripped his shaft in his hand and let out a lusty moan. Both his shaft and hand felt so different, it was almost like someone else was giving him a hand-job.
The rough texture of his hand felt amazing against the now far smoother and almost slick skin of his shaft. At the very least, the pleasure distracted him from the growing pressure at the front of his skull. With his eyes shut tight, the front of his head seemed to stretch out, unlike the muzzles of Lexi and Cynthia, it was more pinched and beak-like. The last patches of skin were soon claimed by the gray-green scaly flesh and the dermal plates and tail seemed to stop growing any larger.
As his transformation reached completion, so did his climax. Peter let out a bellowing moan as he released. The stress and discomfort faded so quickly he nearly passed out from it all. Peter panted hard. He could feel the new additions to his body and the way they moved with his body as he shifted. As clarity returned to the stegosaurus, he quickly realized he needed to clean up the mess before Lexi and Cynthia returned.
“Oh shit! Shit, shit, shit…” he grabbed a handful of what used to be his flannel shirt and quickly mopped up the mess. It’s embarrassing enough being a naked dinosaur as it is.
***
Cynthia had found the bottle of paracetamol in her locker. She hadn’t needed it since her transformation. Getting a new body seemed to have eliminated the problems she was having with her old one. It was a definite upside to becoming an anthro deinonychus at least. Cynthia met up with Lexi in the break room. The allosaurus was just pouring the water from the electric kettle into a mug with a tea bag.
“Do we have any honey in the cabinet?” Lexi asked as she dipped the bag in and out of the water before letting it steep.
Cynthia opened the cabinet and shifted around a few items inside. “The best we have is maple syrup. You know, my dad likes to put it in his coffee.”
“Your father is also an actual lumberjack.”
“Only in his twenties, he moved onto construction after he met my mom. But yeah, he’s pretty much a walking, talking stereotype.” She chuckled. “If he became an anthro he would probably be a moose.”
Lexi joined in as she opted for just adding sugar to the hot tea. Even though she meant it as just a good natured joke about her dad, after saying it it got the deinonychus thinking about Peter’s sudden illness.
“Lexi, with what’s happening to Peter…You don’t think…Is it, is it us?”
Lexi looked up from the mug of tea she was stirring. “What?”
“Did we give it to Peter? The Jurassic Flu, I mean.”
The allosaurus shook her head. “That’s impossible. If Peter was going to catch it, he would have months ago. No one else has been around us more.”
“I know, but the symptoms he was showing, that’s exactly how I felt before, you know.”
“I get it, but regular plain-jane flu has the exact same symptoms.”
“I know, I know, but Peter was perfectly fine, until after he took a sip of your coffee.”
“I, I mean…Ah, the tea is ready enough, let’s go check on him.”
Cynthia knew something was wrong when she couldn’t see Peter through the window on his door. She rushed over and threw open the door.
“Peter! Where are you? Are you ok?”
“Sort of…” came the answer from behind his desk. As he got up onto his hands and knees, the dermal plates rose up into view.
“Oh fuck.” Lexi swore from just behind her. “We’re in it deep now.”
“All of us, yes.” Peter replied as he shifted back onto his feet and tail. His now dark amber eyes looked down his long face and he sighed.”
“Wow, you really bulked up there.” Lexi noted as she stared at his chest and arms.
“Lexi!” Cynthia elbowed her.
‘Hey watch the tea! And I can’t help noticing a buff naked stegosaurus three meters in front of me!”
“Speaking of naked,” Peter glanced down and noticed everything was neatly retracted into his body, “since I don’t want to add inappropriate behavior to how much trouble I’m in, would you mind finding me something to cover up with?”
“Yeah, sure, we’ll see what we can find.” Cynthia said, trying her hardest not to stare.
“Do you still want the tea?” Lexi asked, holding up the mug.
“Actually, yes, I do. I’m feeling kind of chilly right now.”
***
Hours later Peter was sitting down in the break room. Wrapped around his waist was an old towel Lexi found in her locker. Cynthia was working with his lab coat and a sewing kit, trying to modify it to accommodate his dermal plates. The thagomizer at the end of his tail was covered in bubble wrap and tape for everyone’s safety. Lexi placed a fresh bowl of salad in front of Peter as he added another empty bowl to the stack.
“I can’t believe how much I’m eating..” Peter sighed before putting another fork full of greens into his mouth.
“You saw how much barbecue I ate after my change, it’s not that surprising.” Cynthia said as she tied off a stitch.
“Or how much we still eat. On the plus side for you, lettuce is cheaper than chicken.” Lexi shrugged.
“Heh, I guess.” Peter took another bite and chewed. “The funny thing is, the salad tastes better than it used to. I always ate my veggies before, but this just tastes so good.”
“These days I can barely tolerate a pickle on a burger.” Lexi shrugged, “I guess more than just the shape of our tongues changed. Speaking of changing shapes, how does it feel having everything tucked in instead of hanging out?”
“Lexi!” Cynthia’s crest of feathers flared as she glared at her.
She held up her hands defensively. “It’s scientific curiosity, that’s all, I swear.”
“It’s alright, Cynthia. Besides it’s not like there are any male saurians on campus I can talk about it with. The short answer is, I’m not really thinking about it, not that I really thought about it before today, it was just, I don't know, there. Although, now that I am thinking about it, it makes sitting down more comfortable overall. I wonder how it would feel riding a bike now?”
“Probably really awkward with that tail.” Cynthia said as she held up her handiwork.
She had split the seam up the back of the lab coat, and sewed in ties along the back.
Peter turned away from his salad and took a good look. “It kind of looks like a hospital gown.”
“That was my inspiration. I figured this was far easier than cutting slits for each individual plate, not to mention I just had a simple emergency sewing kit to work with.”
“I appreciate the hard work. Let me try it on and see how it does.”
He slipped the coat over his shoulders. Though it was not as loose as it used to be, it fi,. Cynthia tied the back shut around his plates, stopping just above his tail. Peter didn’t feel completely exposed on his back, which he considered good enough.
“There, how's that?”
“Not too bad.” Peter had gotten used to his larger hands and was able to button the lab coat. I’m still worried I’m going to moon someone, so I’ll keep the towel loincloth for now. At least I won't be naked when they come to fire me.”
“Why would they do that? And isn’t it illegal?” Cynthia asked as she closed the sewing kit.
Peter rubbed the back of his head. “They already fired Dr Somnem.”
“What? When?” Lexi stood up from her chair, “We just met her two days ago at the New Year’s Festival!”
“It happened yesterday. According to the university she was somehow inducing transformations in the students.”
“Well, you didn’t do that, if anything Lexi is the one who caused this.” Cynthia motioned to her friend with her feathered tail.
“Hey!”
“I’m not saying it’s really your fault, it’s just an accident, but the point is Peter didn’t cause any of us to change. And don’t you have tenure too?”
“It’s not like diplomatic immunity, you can still be fired for cause.” Peter shook his head. “Alright, maybe they won’t fire me, but after the meeting this morning I’m going to get professionally yelled at. However, they aren’t going to do that before the reps from the Public Health Agency get a chance to poke and prod the three of us.”
“Oh goody, again.” Lexi sighed.
On the table, Peter’s phone started to ring. “Speak of the devil.” he said softly before picking up the phone.
“Hello?...Yes, this is Doctor Grant, but I prefer to not use my title…Because I’m an educator and researcher, not a healer…Yes, I have Lexi and Cynthia here with me…Outside? Can’t we do this in my lab like last time with the CIHR?...You better at least crank the heat up in there, I handle cold weather about as well as a Texan does after today…We’ll be right out.” Peter ended the call and sighed.
“We have to go outside?” Cynthia’s crest visibly fell.
“They have a mobile lab they parked out in the lot. They are going to do all the sample collecting and examinations there.”
“So what, it’s like a bus or an RV, only with lab facilities?”
Peter shrugged. “I assume so.”
“That’s going to be annoying with our tails, especially since you’re still learning to have one.”
“Not to mention the thagomizer.” Lexi pointed to the padded spikes.
“That’s on them. Might as well get this over with so we can try to get some actual work done today.”
“At least put a scarf on before you go out.” Cynthia called after him.
***
Many hours later, Peter was back in his small suburban home. He was grateful the previous homeowner had added a wood stove, because right now he needed the extra heat. Now that the house was at a comfortable twenty-eight degrees, he was able to strip off his improvised clothing. Peter then took the time to get a good look at himself in a mirror.
Peter had been a fairly average late middle aged man. He wasn’t completely out of shape, but he was nothing special before. He was all around bigger, and he could feel a vitality he thought he had lost decades ago.
I did say I’d want to be a stegosaurus to Lexi. He flexed his body a bit in the mirror, something he hadn’t done since high school and smiled to himself. This is going to take some getting used to. Peter ran a hand gently over his genital slit. But I think it's an upgrade in more ways than one. He then turned to the side and took in the large dermal plates. _Mmmm, it feels good when I feel the radiant heat from the stove on my plates. I do need to figure out the tail, but I think I’m good with this. _
***
Over the next week Peter worked from his home. Thankfully, he wasn’t teaching any courses this semester. He stayed in contact with Cynthia and Lexi over video chats and emails. Peter was in his office revising a paper he had been putting off for months. He had fully embraced a nudist lifestyle in his home, simply throwing on a robe whenever he had to open his door.
So far, it had just been grocery deliveries, so he was surprised when his doorbell rang. Peter stretched before getting up. He grabbed the robe and slipped it on. The red and black flannel had been modified crudely with a pair of scissors to accommodate his dermal plates and tail. He was belting the front shut by the time he reached the front door. Looking out the window he noticed a man and woman standing in the gently falling snow. Peter cracked the door slightly.
“Yes? Can I help you?
“Doctor Grant? I’m Hayden Chambers and this is my associate Rachel Perrin. We are from the Public Health Agency, may we come in?”
“As long as you don’t mind the heat.” Peter said as stepped back to open the door. “And please, just call me Peter.”
When the door was opened they were both blasted by the heat escaping the home and the full sight of an anthro stegosaurus in a plaid robe. Hayden quickly composed himself and entered with Rachel a few steps behind him. They quickly divested themselves of their winter coats and accessories.
“How hot is it in here?” Rachel said as she loosened her necktie.
“Around twenty-eight, it fluctuates a bit with the wood stove.”
“I’ll try to be brief with our findings before the two of us melt.” Hayden got directly to the point. “Peter, the so-called Jurassic Flu has undergone a change.”
“Is that why I just recently was transformed after such a prolonged contact with Lexi and Cynthia?”
“Most likely. In its previous iteration as studied by the CIHR, the virus was incredibly weak and only those with compromised immune systems were at risk of exposure.”
“And now?”
“As your case obviously shows, it has greatly increased potency, however the virus is relatively short lived out of a host body.”
Rachel spoke up. “We are looking at direct fluid contact, exposure to saliva, blood, et cetera, or a direct introduction into a human by breaking skin. In your case it was the cross contamination from a shared beverage.
“I believe it was Ms Grant who pointed out that it’s basically lycanthrope rules.”
“Yeah so I shouldn’t go around biting or scratching anyone. Wait, is lycanthropy a real thing?”
Hayden shook his head. “Not really. I believe all the wolf anthros are stuck that way and don’t react to the full moon anymore than you or I do.”
“Sorry, can’t be too sure these days. Do you have any idea what caused this sudden change in the virus?”
“We are investigating a few theories, but nothing we can speak about currently.”
“I see. What about my job?”
Hayden shrugged “That’s between you and the university. Although, institutions have leeway when it comes to contagious transformations of any vector.”
Peter tilted his head to the side slightly. “Like with Dr Natasha Somnem.”
“We can not comment on that situation.” Rachel quickly replied.
“Of course you can't.” Peter sighed. “Is there anything else I should know?”
“Not at this time, however, we will be in contact with all of you. In the meantime, we advise you to do your best to not spread this any further, even to willing people.”
“Willing? People are seeking out anthrofication?”
Rachel raised an eyebrow. “That surprises you? You must not spend a lot of time on the internet.”
“My search histories are academic and boring and I avoid social media."
“For your own mental health, I’d advise you to continue to avoid those other parts of the internet. If you have no further questions, we’ll be on our way.” Hayden pulled a business card out from his jacket pocket. “If you think of something later or another incident happens, please call or email me.”
Peter accepted the card and slipped it into the pocket of his robe. “I will. Let me see you out.”
