Broodfoxes: First Encounter

Just a few days ago, Zougui and the other xenobiologists had crawled out of their cryostasis pods. She hated those things. Every time she got inside one, it felt like she was going to freeze to death before the temperature dropped low enough to render her unconscious. As a dragoness, she was naturally warm, but sadly, heat wasn’t great for preserving your body during long voyages through space.

Being inside the tube didn’t feel like much of anything after that. Sometimes there was an errant glimpse of consciousness despite the temperatures – some impulse managing to jump to a neuron thanks to whatever quantum mechanics – but never for long enough to notice what was happening.

Getting out of the pod, however, was the worst part. The rewarming process felt like burning up in the most unpleasant of ways. The sensations were seared into her memory; every single body part burned and tingled as sensation and mobility returned, including her very mind. Usually, it came with a mental shock too; a frenzied attempt to recall where exactly she was, or sometimes even who she was. And then that, in turn, was followed by a headache and a feverish sensation that lasted for a few days, conveniently just long enough for the ship to finish the last few light-hours towards whatever destination after dropping out of hyperspace and into _near-_light speed rather than well beyond it.

They weren't actually in the pods for that long, all told. It was just that hyperspace travel was very hazardous to all organic beings, even for dragons, who were typically far more durable than most. She wasn’t an expert on the matter. What she was an expert on was xenobiology, and right now, she was still stuck on the ship as it approached the planet instead of examining countless new and exciting species of flora and fauna. At least they were only one day away from the planet now. As she regained her bearings, she glanced around the room as the rest of the crew also began to thaw out and awaken.

One of her colleagues was an excessively talkative otter. She was the ship’s doctor, though Zougui sometimes questioned what, exactly, her credentials were. She was prone to taking unnecessary risks and had an unhealthy obsession with alien species to the point of it seeming fetishistic in nature. It also seemed like she had far more influence over the captain’s actions than a regular sawbones would, which made the dragoness suspect she wasn’t entirely forthright about her backstory.

“According to our logs,” the otter told her at dinnertime in the cantina. “This planet shouldn’t really have any dangerous species.”

“So, we don’t need to be too careful, then,” Zougui remarked. “Didn’t you say that about the planet with the body-snatching beetles too?”

“Hey, the company wanted us to study them, and we did. Only lost one crewmate in the process, too,” the otter laughed. “So really, not very dangerous. At least not in the grand scheme of things. Besides, he didn’t even die.”

“No, but he did kind of get his body hijacked,” Zougui sighed. “I’d like to avoid that kind of thing happening to me.”

“If it does, just rest assured that it’s exactly what the company would’ve wanted,” the otter smiled. “I’ll do my very best to fix things like that, should we find anything really unexpected. But there’s certainly nothing big enough to challenge a dragoness like yourself.”

She hadn’t been selected for these missions purely because of her brilliant mind and endless desire to learn about alien lifeforms. The fact that she was a dragoness, with naturally tough skin and a frame quite bit bigger everyone else on the ship had played a role, too.

The company Zougui worked for was shady. They weren’t in this for philanthropic reasons, anything but. Still, they did publish her findings in all the scientific journals while taking of everything they found, so it was still better than staying on her home planet and never discovering anything new for her entire life.

What were they hoping to find on this particular planet? It was a lush place, somewhat akin to the jungles of Earth. There were no reports of weaponizable species – and that, she trusted the company on, as they were legally obligated to inform the crew of such – or any advanced civilization. And yet, there had to be something, because there always was_._ Something that nobody had told and probably wouldn't until well after she'd already found a specimen. Such was the way of business, especially in space.

“Yeah, I’d hope so,” she responded, the otter’s smile drooping a little at the lack of excitement. They finished their mostly flavorless nutrition-goop meals in relative silence. Today’s meal was advertised as extra nourishing, and although Zougui couldn’t really taste anything different, she wondered about their motivation with that, too.

At least they would finally land tomorrow. It was as good an excuse as any to make herself look presentable, Zougui figured, heading back to her extra-large cabin to groom herself a little with the ship’s automated tools. It wasn’t always easy to be a quadruped, but she was important enough to the mission that they’d made accommodations just for her shape and size. A machine brushed her red mane to keep it shiny and smooth. Another one cleansed her light grey scales – and also provided an additional level of decontamination when she returned from explorations, in case the decontamination system failed – and left her quite refreshed.

It was, she supposed, important to look good, just in case they encountered something sapient. The chances were low, though; sapient beings tended to create civilizations, and this planet had none. That, they knew with absolute certainty.

All that was left was to get some actual rest in a proper bed than the cryopod, and upon waking up, the ship was already abuzz with activity, having landed while she slept off the cryo-doldrums. Every machine was at work outside, setting up a base in a clearing, along with on-the-ground habitation for the staff and guards, and finally, they had arrived at the part that Zougui loved most about her job.

Was there anything better than exploring a whole new planet?

The sheer number of discoveries! The thrill of finding something that nobody had seen in person before, or at least never reported! The way all life tended to appear in endless forms, most – though very much not all – beautiful in their own right! She could barely contain herself as she headed towards the landing bay, wide open to the planet and its perfectly clean, uncontaminated atmosphere.

Oh, it was a literal breath of fresh air to finally step out of the stuffy ship and into the verdant wilderness outside. The base had already been set up, and beyond its borders, a seemingly endless jungle of every possible shade of green beckoned to her, as if daring her to explore it. And the otter, in her perfectly white lab coat, was already outside, directing both workers and robots in a way that nobody expected a doctor to have the authority to.

“Ah, you’re awake. Great. You can set off and explore at any time,” the doctor called out, motioning Zougui closer to herself. “Protective gear should not be required.”

“No protective gear whatsoever?” Zougui asked, incredulously. They had been on some mostly harmless planets before, but none so risk-free that she didn’t need to at least wear a mask.

“Not according to our scanners. There’s nothing here that will eat, infect, or significantly damage you,” the otter smiled. “I’ll be honest, we have had explorers sent down here before. This is simply a larger-scale operation based on their poorly documented experiences.”

The way she said we was a little unnerving given that she was supposedly a mere employee. But so far, she hadn’t led the team wrong on any of the missions she had been part of. Except for that one instance of the body-snatching beetles, anyway.

“This isn’t an unexplored planet?” Zougui asked, cocking an eyebrow.

“It is, effectively speaking,” the otter replied with an amused tone. “The previous visitors were stark amateurs. All we have are rumors of what they saw. No documentation, no photographs, and no samples. This time, we have an entire base. Well, we will, soon enough.”

She gestured towards the drones and workers building walls, housing, a small clinic, all scaled up so they could also accommodate Zougui, which she appreciated. Then again, they had to. It was hardly something the company did just to be nice.

“And what did they say they saw, however unprofessionally?” the dragoness prodded.

The otter flashed a toothy smile. “That information is, unfortunately, classified.”

“Classified even while we’re exploring the same planet and surely about to see for ourselves?” Zougui shot back. This kind of withholding of information wasn’t unusual for these people.

“Classified because it might taint our research and conclusions, nothing more,” the otter replied. “Orders from… on high.”

“Orders from who? Look, it’s pretty obvious you’re not a doctor, and you know that I know,” Zougui replied. Every now and then, she got tired of all this unnecessary secrecy.

“From on high,” the otter said. “Above your paygrade. But I’ll repeat: there’s nothing dangerous out there. Some unusual specimens. That’s it.”

“…fine,” the dragoness finally sighed. “I guess I’ll start documenting and analyzing everything.”

“That’s the spirit. By the time you come back for the day, we should have the base finished, too,” the otter beamed. “Have fun.”

Well, she would certainly have fun. She loved her job, after all. There was just something off about the otter. Even though she towered above the little mustelid, she held all the cards and all the power. At that point, Zougui wouldn’t have been surprised if she was actually the owner, choosing to come along on expeditions for her personal amusement.

But it wasn’t a mystery that she’d ever know the answers to.

Zougui took a moment to get outfitted with her equipment, all customized for her quadruped biology. For this expedition, all she got was a visor to record everything she saw and to take notes with. If there really was nothing dangerous out there, she supposed it would suffice.

After a quick equipment check, she left their base camp and ventured into the jungle. For the first few minutes, she only saw fairly ordinary, Earth-like plants. She still recorded them, letting her visor analyze what she couldn’t; it could be evidence of panspermia, after all, no matter how unimpressive they looked. Every lifeform here had, even if not unique, had at the very least had billions of years to evolve in its own direction.

Soon after that, deeper into the trees, things began to grow more exotic. Enormous purple flowers. What looked like some kind of flesh-eating plant, not entirely unlike a Venus Fly Trap. It was big enough that it could’ve swallowed or at least trapped a smaller crew member, but of course, the dragoness herself wasn’t at any risk. And perhaps the plant didn’t eat meat at all. That was one of the fascinating details about interplanetary excursions; just because something looked like something she knew from home, it didn’t mean it was like those things. For all she knew, the plant was entirely harmless, with the “maw” instead could have evolved to absorb gases from the air. That would be a subject of further analysis back at base.

With that in mind, she pressed on, and it wasn’t long before she encountered fauna. The first one was some kind of wolf-like creature, surprisingly big even in comparison to herself. It showed no signs of aggression, instead simply observing the dragoness from a distance with four yellow eyes, its many ears swiveling to listen. It looked pregnant, which was a little bit of a surprise; maybe it was mating season for them.

Mating season. She'd be there herself in a few months from now, Zougui thought, while the strange wolf walked away, disinterested. Unfortunately, there weren’t any other dragons on the ship, so she’d spend another heat cycle unsatisfied. Then again, maybe it was better this way; she couldn’t really do her job at full capacity if she was heavily pregnant, after all.

As she kept exploring, she came across more animals of all shapes and sizes. Indeed, none of them seemed aggressive so far, but there was something strange about them. They were all pregnant, just like the pseudo-wolf had been. Unless the planet had some kind of universal mating season for all species – which was astronomically unlikely – there was something off.

Maybe none of the creatures she'd seen had been pregnant at all. If that was the case, then something else was the cause for their bloated appearances. Zougui's mind then went to parasites. But that didn’t seem reasonable. She wasn’t aware of any known parasite on any planet that could infest seemingly all creatures. They were highly specialized. Still, there was something suspicious going on. Something very much worth studying.

Just then, she saw a flash of orange dart through the woods, and then another. Seconds later, a small pack of foxes approached her. Well, not foxes. They were orange and vulpine in appearance, but their snouts and backs had distinctly reptilian scales, and their tails were enormous, each almost three times as long as the rest of the creature. They gathered in front of her, sniffing the air.

They also weren’t swollen and pregnant like the other species. That, and their eyes seemed to have an unusual glimmer of intelligence; she got the distinct feeling that she was being appraised by sapient eyes. But appraised for what, she didn’t know.

“…hello?” she tried, the visor’s universal translator repeating her greeting in every possible language-like construction it could muster. “Do you understand me?”

One of the foxes barked. It sounded disappointed, not totally unlike a dog barking because it had been denied a treat, but her visor found no trace of a language in the sound it made. Still, it dashed in a little circle in front of her, evidently curious despite its disappointment. Then, it barked again, a few times in rapid succession, before the entire flock quickly lowered their ears and tails. They were clearly communicating something among themselves_,_ just without a full language that her visor could pick up on.

What her visor did tell her was that these were all females of whatever species they were part of. It detected that they produced some kind of venom, but still no signs of aggression toward her. It wasn’t sure if they were mammals or reptiles or some strange fusion of the two, but their biology seemed to suggest that they were an egg-laying species. Not that mammals couldn’t lay eggs, Zougui thought, thinking back to platypuses back on her distant home planet.

They lingered for a little longer, running circles around the dragoness and sniffing the air as if trying to find something, but eventually they dispersed, dashing off into the jungle one by one. Zougui could only assume they were some sort of pack hunters, but that she wasn’t their preferred prey. Maybe she was too big, or the wrong species. Maybe she was the wrong gender; it could, she supposed, be possible that the female “foxes” only preyed on males.

She paused for a moment. That didn’t seem right; almost no species hunted only targets of a specific sex. She was getting ahead of herself. Perhaps they were just like lions back on Earth, where the females did most of the hunting. Or maybe not, and there was still something else that she just wasn't seeing.

Zougui didn’t have to look much further before she found her answers, in an entirely unexpected way. Another fox-thing appeared from the undergrowth and looked at her. This one was bigger, almost twice the size of the previous ones, but this one was alone. Her visor confirmed it; same species, only this one was a male specimen.

And unlike the females, it seemed very interested in her. The fox barked with excitement, and Zougui could see its surprisingly large cock – one that’d be a tight fit even for her – slide out as it swelled to full hardness. Did it want to mate with her?

Well, she wasn’t about to do it with an alien critter, no matter how intelligent they seemed.

“Sorry, little buddy, I think you’ll just have to find those females that just passed through here,” she told it.

With another bark, it suddenly pounced, using its enormous tail almost like a springboard to catapult itself. The fox vaulted over her with perfect grace and then jumped again, grabbing onto the dragoness’ hindquarters. She, with a jolt of adrenaline, tried to shake it off immediately, only for the fox to quickly coil its tail around hers to safely hold it in place.

“Come on, don’t make me sit down,” Zougui growled. “I’m not even compatible with whatever you are!” she added, shaking herself more vigorously to absolutely no avail.

Instead of letting it do whatever it wanted, Zougui turned around, unfurled her wings, determined to at least get back to base so the people with hands could deal with the strange, horny alien, but just as she was about to take off, it bit her.

“Ow!” she roared. It didn’t hurt much, but it startled her, and worse yet, a numbness began to spread out from the site. The venom, it must be some kind of paralytic. Zougui had been in enough bad situations over her career to recognize that dull, heavy warmth immediately. She set off in a sprint, weaving through the trees on the way back towards the base, not trusting her wings to carry her for long without soon crashing down again.

And then she stumbled, her back legs buckling under the venom’s effects. There was no pain, only a tingling sensation, but for now, she could summon enough anger to keep it at bay, dragging herself forward, focusing her entire being lifting one leg after the other while the fox yipped and yapped with excitement, grinding that enormous vulpine-looking shaft against her.

Everywhere it touched, she could feel an altogether different kind of warmth. A pleasant one. An aphrodisiac? Oh no. Zougui mustered up all the anger and rage she could, digging her claws into trees to drag her increasingly limp and uncoordinated body forward before she slowly realized that her hind legs weren’t moving at all. Her tail was completely numb, and that numbness was spreading upwards through her body. Her wings wouldn’t even respond to her commands.

She wouldn’t make it back to base, she grimly realized. But she wasn’t going to give up just like that, no matter how good it felt, no matter how the grinding made her otherwise numb slit tingle and drip with wetness. With a growl, the dragoness rolled over, pinning the fox against the muddy ground.

Yet, it gave only a little yelp and managed to retain its grip. Evidently, they were much hardier than an Earth-fox ever could be. Zougui thrashed as the paralysis spread further yet, until her front legs began to feel it too. For a few minutes, she could still move them, and for those last moments before she was completely incapacitated, she tried to curl up enough to tear the creature off her. Each moment it was rubbing up against her, the pleasure of it grew more intense.

Thoughts that she desperately didn’t want to have were creeping into her mind. Fantasies of just relaxing and letting it have its way. Her normally sharp mind was beginning to feel dull and muddled, as if she was trying to drag each thought out through a thick layer of sludge. Would it really be so bad? It wasn’t as if anything here was dangerous. It’d just be a few hours of her getting relentlessly rutted and bred.

She growled, trying to force the thoughts out and ignore the near-burning feeling of need growing in her loins and leaving her draconic pussy wetter and wetter by the second.

“Get off me,” she growled, but even her jaw was starting to go slack. Her tongue felt too thick for her mouth, until the dragoness slumped down into the grass, unable to move more than her eyes. “Gff-muh,” she repeated.

The fox, naturally, didn’t care. Instead, the second phase of its conquest began with a happy, distinctly un-foxlike trill. That tapered shaft rubbed across Zougui’s folds, smearing its aphrodisiac-laden precum over them. It seemed in no hurry to actually mate with her, which was another uncanny sign of intelligence close to that of her own. Rather, it seemed to want to break her.

She felt the warm tip of it caught on her clit. Zougui couldn’t see it, of course, but the tip opened up just enough to suckle on her stiff little nub. She let out a stuttering breath, one that would’ve been a moan if not for her paralyzed vocal cords. She couldn’t figure out what the purpose of it was, but she’d know soon enough. The dragoness was determined to resist even as nearly blinding shocks of pleasure shot through her. Fuck. She was slipping. The aphrodisiac spread like fire in her blood, overcoming even the paralytic numbness, setting every cell of her body alight with desire and further clouding her mind like a sexual miasma.

The creature didn’t need her mind to consent, she realized, but it appeared to want her body to, as it remained latched onto her hindquarters like some sort of sexual parasite.

Was that what they were? Through intellectual curiosity and mustering all of her strength just to clench her jaws, Zougui managed to fight back, but only just enough to give herself some space to think. If the fox was a parasite – hell, even if it wasn’t – she’d have plenty of time to get back to base after it was done with her, and well before anything bad could happen. From there on, that thought was twisted into a justification by the searing, sticky pleasure that coated her mind. If she could fix whatever it was doing to her, why not just surrender and enjoy the moment of lying there helpless while it bred her, or maybe laid its eggs inside her?

Well, she didn’t really have a choice, did she? The fox-thing thrust into her, the tip effortlessly spreading her slick sex wide, and the very first squirt of something warm inside her – precum, no doubt – set off fireworks inside her head. Zougui gasped mutedly once again, a full-body shiver somehow overcoming the paralysis as pure liquid fire in the form of arousal shot through her the moment she was directly filled with the aphrodisiac liquid.

Evidently, that was the reaction the strange fox was waiting for. It began to rut her properly, though not in the bestial sense that Zougui had been expecting. No, the creature – despite being nonverbal – clearly drew some enjoyment out of utterly dominating her, and so, it fucked her slowly, as if making sure that she could vividly feel every inch, including the swelling knot as it smushed against her soaked lips. Her inner muscles, as fate would have it, weren’t paralyzed at all, and they eagerly, perhaps traitorously, squeezed and caressed the fox’s shaft, welcoming and encouraging it to plunder her heat-struck body.

She wasn’t in heat though. Or was she? A twinge of fear pierced the cloud of pleasure that had enveloped her. She shouldn’t be; it was still several months until the next time she should suffer that most feminine ailment. But all the signs were there. The foggy mind, the full-body pleasure-tingles, the roaring joy of having her pussy stuffed, and worst of all, the warm, growing glow in her lower belly. Where her womb was, she knew. That demanding heat, the feeling of a yearning emptiness inside her.

She put two and two together. Whatever the fox’s cock exuded was putting her into heat, which was just about a guarantee that she’d get pregnant, and that, while being the absolute last thing she needed right now, this far from home on an alien planet, still made her cunt twitch again with absolute joy. It was getting almost impossible to fight the urge as the creature, evolved for god knows how many years to do exactly this to its prey, successfully worked to conquer her. She moaned again. Only this time, she heard herself moan, as if the paralytic was slowly being eliminated by her draconic biology.

It made sense. Dragons were all naturally resistant – though clearly, not immune – to most toxins, but while the paralytic had been one dose, the aphrodisiac was being pumped into her directly and continuously. Her legs twitched, but little more, as the dragoness focused all of her willpower into resisting it. If she couldn’t stop the little fox from breeding her, she could at least prevent herself from cumming and so, in effect, submitting to the way it manipulated and tried to master her body.

And so, it became a battle of Zougui trying to wrest back control of herself even as her body burned with lust. Little by little, she was successfully fighting back the paralysis, but her mind kept slipping deeper under the aphrodisiac’s spell. She could already feel an orgasm building as the fox fucked her, the rhythmic hammering of its growing knot almost hypnotic. She wanted to cum, needed to cum, and yet she fought against it with every fiber of her being. And there was that voice again, the near-delirious voice of lust. Just surrender. Let yourself cum. You can’t fight it anyway.

But she was close to being able to move again. So close. No matter how good the fox’s cock pistoning into her heated body felt, no matter how hard she clenched – needily enough that she couldn’t help but shudder and moan in anticipation of the alien’s cum – she was only seconds away from being able to pull it off her.

And then it bit her again, injecting her with a fresh dose of venom. That twinge of pain was, paradoxically, what pushed her over the edge and into the howling, mindless abyss of pleasure. Something in her mind seemed to break as that tidal wave washed over her, and with the sound of the fox barking and snarling with evident satisfaction ringing through her ears, she came. Her inner muscles clenched eagerly around its shaft, her body evidently having decided that this was exactly what it wanted as it flooded her mind with every pleasure-chemical it could produce, pleading, begging for the strange creature to breed her. She was acutely aware of its knot swelling inside her, and while that might have been a worrying sensation normally, right now she wanted nothing more.

Oh, who cares if it forced itself on me if it’s going to feel this good.

It kept fucking her in sharp, quick thrusts, seemingly knowing exactly how to angle its oversized cock to hit every sensitive spot inside her until the helpless dragoness was drooling, and only then did it race towards its own climax, hips a blur of orange and red fur and scales. It took maybe half a minute, but it felt like an eternity for Zougui, the pleasure spiking to such heights that she felt like she was melting around that pseudo-vulpine cock, fully surrendering to whatever it was planning to do to her. Then again, it didn’t take a genius to figure out its plan, even if the exact way in which it’d fertilize her was fully alien.

Suddenly the fox, evidently satisfied that Zougui had cum all over its cock, froze, and with a triumphant little snarl of its own, the last unique quirk of its biology revealed itself. Just like the tip of its cock had latched onto her clit earlier, now it expanded again, gently engulfing her very cervix and forming a tight seal through with no cum would spill. Zougui’s eyes went wide; the sensation wasn’t painful in the slightest, more like a dull tickling inside her, and then she felt the fox’s alien shaft swell. Its knot swelled a little further too, doubling the seal.

Then, its entire body tensed up, and with a high-pitched, more lupine than vulpine howl, she felt the first fateful throb. If the fox’s precum had been laden with aphrodisiacs, its actual seed was twice as potent. A concentrated burst of pure white-hot arousal erupted directly against her cervix- no, deeper than just her cervix, into her very womb, her body defenseless and with nowhere else for that building pressure to go.

Immediately, inside her, the fox’s cum went to work, but it wasn’t like anything the dragoness had ever known existed. Instead of fertilizing her, the little swimmers swarmed her eggs to overwrite them, fully substituting their own DNA rather than just contributing their “half”, resulting in offspring that were more of the fox's own kind rather than a hybrid species with whatever the host was.

That was what they were. A strange pseudo-parasitoid of unknown origin, hijacking their hosts’ bodies for their own reproduction, but also their own pleasure. Zougui didn’t know of any of that though, and she couldn’t know while still squirming and thrashing, the pleasure-spasms so intense as she nearly creamed her brains out around the fox’s throbbing cock and knot. The release was so intense that she found her vision dimming, the world fading away as everything became perfectly focused on that carnal harmony. The fox throbbed, she clenched, and her body helped massage every last drop of its invasive, corrupting seed into herself, completely uncaring that it wasn’t from a dragon like herself.

She took all of it because she had to. The fox didn’t let go of that stranglehold around her tail, nor did its cock release its grip on the gates to her womb before its balls were utterly drained and all of its potent seed was stored safely where it wouldn’t leak out.

Only then did it hop off. In a surprising gesture of affection, the tail curled up around the dragon’s neck for a squeeze that signaled appreciation or enjoyment rather than raw domination. It looked into her pleasure-glazed eyes, nose prodding Zougui’s snout until she began to regain control of herself once again, and only then did it skitter off with a series of happy yips and yaps, its biological duty well and truly complete and its urges satisfied.

Zougui wasn’t sure what to feel. Her belly felt bloated. The fox had pumped so much cum into her that she half suspected that its tail must’ve been full of seed. Getting back to camp would fix it, but it took her almost half an hour before she could even try to stand up, owing to her legs feeling like jelly. It wasn’t just the paralytic, it was also the sheer intensity of her orgasm.

Her breath stuttered, but eventually, with a groan, she managed to crawl up onto all four legs and look around. There was no sign of any more foxes, now, and knowing what she did of biology, the rest would probably not bother her now that she had already been claimed by one of them. Well. She couldn’t feel too angry at the little thing. Not with how good it had felt. She was frustrated at herself, and even more so, the otter, who she was pretty sure had known exactly what the dragoness would find.

Zougui returned to the base laboriously, her legs barely carrying her bulky form, letting the frustration carry her. The strange fox’s venom seemed to linger, though with every minute, she regained a little more control, enough so to feel a few wasted droplets of its incredibly thick seed leaking down her hind legs. Returning to the base in this state was embarrassing, but she had samples, which was better than nothing. Even if the samples were inside her.

The otter was there, seemingly omnipresent throughout their operation, and her muzzle split into a wide grin as she saw the dragoness stumble in through the undergrowth.

“Given the looks of you, I’d imagine you encountered the broodfoxes?” she said, skipping all the pleasantries as usual.

“They have a name? The horny little things, yes. And I need to-” Zougui began.

“No, no, there’s no danger involved, the little critters are quite harmless! I’d never mislead you, and you know that. However, we will indeed be studying you. The broodfoxes are quite… omni-compatible, as far as we know. Which likely means that you’re pregnant,” the otter said, her unnerving smile never faltering. “Not to worry, I hear it’s quite a pleasant experience. Remain within the camp perimeter until you lay the eggs, please.”

In other words, this was what the company had wanted to find. A strange species of fox-things that were seemingly compatible with all other species – sapient but not talkative, from what Zougui could tell – and she, given her experience in xenobiology, was to be the guinea pig.

“It paralyzed me, you know,” she scoffed.

“Yes, and then it forced you into heat, exactly as our previous people said,” the otter replied. She paused to straighten her coat as a breeze blew through the base. “We’re looking to turn them into a… well, let’s call it a pet. The experience seems like something that many would pay good money for. I even hear it’s addictive!”

She seemed genuinely excited in a way that told Zougui that she wanted to try the broodfoxes herself at a later time. The experience had been quite orgasmic, the dragoness had to admit that much.

Initially, though confirmed to be pregnant, Zougui didn’t notice much change, and continued exploring the planet. She encountered a few broodfoxes, but they seemed to have completely lost interest in breeding her now that one had already successfully done so, which gave her ample opportunity to study them properly.

The little critters were pseudo-parasitoids, compatible with all known species. Their offspring were always more broodfoxes; in fact, the offspring were always genetic clones of the original. Furthermore, It appeared that broodfoxes exclusively reproduced by 'breeding' other species rather than mating with each other, so while they effectively had no genetic diversity, it never resulted in a weakened gene pool and birth defects like it would in all other known sexually-reproducing species.

It also turned out that eggs “fertilized” by broodfoxes matured much faster than normal dragon eggs. Zougui found herself a little bloated, her belly visibly bigger than it had been before, in only a matter of weeks, accompanied with a rather demanding hunger, probably to provide nourishment for the rapidly growing little bastards inside her.

At that point, the otter ordered her to simply relax in camp as the rest of crew made sure she was well-fed and comfortable. It was a little frustrating, certainly, given her desire to explore, study, and document, but at the same time, she couldn’t deny that being pregnant was a lovely break from having to work, and in the end, she embraced her strange version of motherhood. Her belly swelled quickly, accompanied by a general feeling of well-being and pleasure. After all, the broodfoxes had been shaped by evolution to keep the experience as pleasant as possible, in order to tempt previous hosts to return and get bred anew.

Zougui already knew that she would. Her fantasies, in the truly idle moments, always returned to that first encounter; the strange helplessness of being paralyzed, the ecstasy of their aphrodisiacs surging through her body, and of course, the endless orgasms while being bred. That wasn’t to say that she didn’t feel a little nervous about laying, which she had never done before, but when the time came – only a few months after the first encounter – it all turned out to come pretty naturally.

It began with a cramp in her belly. Not unpleasant, but strong enough to nearly bring her to her knees. Immediately, the dragoness knew that this was it; she was going to lay those eggs that had been growing inside her. She stumbled over to the medical building the drones had set up as the cramping grew, both in intensity and, strangely enough, pleasure. It was another thing she’d have to study, the dragoness thought, but not right now; each spasm of her inner muscles as her body prepared to lay the eggs nearly made her mind blank out, accompanied by a jolt of pleasure.

Unlike a more typical dragon-birth, she had to lay down rather than squat, falling onto her side in the padded room that had been prepared for her. She let out a moan; the first egg had already slipped out of her overstuffed womb and was now being pushed out by those pleasurable contractions, completely unlike any description of a birth or egg-laying that she’d heard of.

But then again, the otter had called them a pleasant experience, despite the broodfoxes being technically, in a sense, parasitoids. Maybe that was part of their strategy, to make every moment – despite being forced on the host – as ecstatic as possible so that they’d wander out in the jungle to seek them out again.

Zougui didn’t really have time to think about that, though. Not right then. Her whole body tensed as the first leathery egg, normal-sized despite containing a smaller broodfox rather than a young dragon, popped out of her. She gasped at the sensation of the fullness being suddenly gone and the leathery surface rasping at her already sensitive folds. It made her shiver, and the next egg was already starting to push through her cervix, ready to be laid.

This one felt so intense that she wondered if the eggs might exude the same kind of aphrodisiacs as the broodfoxes themselves could. It certainly felt like it, the way it tingled against her inner walls, leaving her utterly drenched with arousal to help with the laying.

In a way, it was embarrassing how easily her body succumbed to such obvious, not even conscious manipulation. But she couldn’t stop moaning and shivering despite being perfectly aware of it, squirming and digging her talons into the mattresses, shredding them to pieces, trying and failing to focus her mind. Instead, the pleasure continued, in jolts, pulses, and spasms as the second egg spread her wide, the aphrodisiac slime only released on it had left her womb and in flush contact with her twitching inner walls.

By the time the third egg was in the process of being laid, Zougui realized – somewhat mortified, the shame only dulled by lust – that she was going to cum. She was going to cum while laying the eggs of some parasitoid bastard of a fox-thing that had forced itself on her, and she was going to cum hard.

She couldn’t stop it any more than she could stop the fantasies of going back once she had recovered enough. Of finding another male broodfox and letting it force her into heat and then, breed her. And if she did that, their plan would only be proven to work perfectly; even a being as powerful and intelligent as a dragoness willingly surrendering to their instinctive schemes!

Somehow the thought only made her feel hotter. The fantasy of just playing along and letting them think she was under their control, enslaved by her own urges, slowly morphed into actually surrendering to the broodfoxes so she could experience the sheer euphoria of laying more of their eggs.

Oh, what the hell did it matter at this point? She already knew that she’d go back. And the moment she accepted that, it was like the floodgates of pleasure had been opened and she had been granted a brief peek into a glorious, messy, carnal heaven. She came hard, nearly curling up as immense pleasure washed over her in a beautiful spasm, overwhelming and all-consuming, leaving the dragoness trembling and moaning out loud as the third egg was pushed out by her orgasmic spasms. A fourth was immediately ready, and she didn’t stop cumming; it went on and on until she was drooling into the pillows and mattresses, eyes rolled back as the world was entirely reduced to pure, crushing pleasure.

The eggs kept coming, and so did she, until she had soaked the mattress with her juices, and every muscle in her body ached from the constant tension. Only once the last leathery broodfox egg was out of her did it stop. Zougui collapsed onto the soft padding and for a few happy moments, she thought of nothing at all. She felt like she’d run a marathon, only one that was impossibly more pleasurable. And she looked at the eggs, all uniform leathery grey in the same shade as most of her scales.

They’d hatch into broodfoxes, of course, rather than dragons, since the critter had effectively hijacked her body for one clutch. She didn’t mind, though, at least not in this state. It had certainly been an experience unlike any other.

Eventually a second ship landed to fetch the laid eggs. Zougui would remain on the planet a little longer to document whatever she could, and the otter would, as always, serve as a doctor and apparent leader. She certainly didn’t mind it. Though the deceit had initially frustrated her, the experience had turned out to be such a joy that she wanted to go through it a few more times before departing, and even the otter expressed a similar thought, offering to join her the next time she went to study them.

“I mean, if you liked it enough to want to do it again, I definitely want to try it at least once,” she laughed.

Maybe that was really how the broodfoxes got hosts. Maybe it was a calculated move on their part, given their intelligence, Zougui thought. Be such good little pseudo-parasitoids that people keep coming back. It wasn’t a survival strategy she’d ever heard of before, but then again, it made perfect sense, and that was the conclusion she and the rest of the research team eventually wrote down and published. A sexual parasite species that spread as much through word of mouth as they did through their strange biology.

During their long stay there, things off-planet developed quickly. Just as the company had predicted, the little critters became a fashionable pet for those wishing to indulge in such pleasure, and were initially sold as a pure luxury, with the company making a few trillion in profits before non-enthusiast opinions shifted and many got a little bothered by risking getting bred – or in the case of males, forced into breeding – excitable little foxes each time they went outside on planets were the things got out into the wild.

But by then, it was far too late; the broodfoxes’ strategy had successfully made their species intergalactic, and from there, they kept spreading as people realized just how pleasurable the little things were. Profits predictably tanked once they were available and abundant almost everywhere, and the company Zougui worked for ended their project.

Naturally, it didn’t take long for broodfox eggs to be considered contraband in most settled systems, with little populations present on quite a few planets, mostly owing to enthusiasts who wanted to share the experience. Of course, the rich still continued to trade in them, as was always the case.

At least it was better than the beetles, Zougui thought, caressing her swollen belly and looking forward to laying another strange clutch as she heard the news a year later. Eventually, she’d have to leave, as interest in the broodfoxes had died down, but until then, she’d certainly enjoy what time she had left here as a perfect incubator for them.

And maybe she’d smuggle one off planet, she thought, already looking forward to another ecstatic laying session.
