“It’s not much really, but there is a redemption locker on board, as well as some racing games and shooting games. Especially made to be for competitive pastimes,” Gao told Kain as he chuckled.

Kain looked over at Sleuth, who smiled back at him.

“I cannot wait to enjoy this with my best buddy,” Sleuth said, smiling at Kain.

“And then there are the restaurants on the next floor down, with a central park area being in one of them. The shops adorn this area too, and it’s a peaceful place to see grass and just hang out. This is where there is a psychic on board for those that are curious about palm-reading and other occult activities,” Gao continued to inform them.

“Did you ever have your fortune read?” Nocturne chimed in.

“No, it was too risky for me since I was a dark type, and psychic types have difficulty mind or palm reading against us, so I didn’t want to blow my cover at the time. I think you can understand why,” Gao said as he shook his head.

Nocturne felt intrigued though by this, and kept it in the back of his mind in the meantime.

“There is also a chapel on board here as well, for anybody deciding to get married on a boat if they wished,” Gao added.

The whole group started chuckling at that.

“It would be funny to see Ken and Leo get married on a boat, the fire chicken would probably be stranded in the water,” Unnerve said while chuckling.

“Don’t be mean to Ken. Even if both of them aren’t hear, I wouldn’t be surprised if Leo would be able to listen in on us,” Nocturne replied.

“Yeah, I was just kidding of course,” Unnerve said slyly.

“Anyway, the casino would be a couple of floors below the chapel, if any of you wanna spend your time there,” Gao said as he continued with the tour.

Inferno gave a sly look at Sleuth, who shook his head in turn.

“We don’t have much money to spend anyway so I’ll be skipping on that,” Sleuth said, shrugging.

“Hah! Lady luck is always on my side, whether that be through missions or gambling. I know I can win against the house!” Inferno boasted.

“Then don’t gamble all those tax paying dollars away,” Unnerve said as he stepped in.

“Don’t worry, I know how to put my money to good use and when to stop,” Inferno responded as Gao continued.

“And lastly the rest of the floors has a main dining hall and some restaurants and bars for the guests,” Gao finished.

“I’m always down for a good drink, especially since we have the deluxe beverage package,” Unnerve said as he eyed one of the bars.

“You better not overdo it, because I will make you walk your ass back to the cabin room myself if I have to,” Nocturne said as he interjected.

“Heh, this is the only ass I really care about,” Unnerve said as he gave Nocturne’s ass a squeeze.

Nocturne swatted Unnerve’s paw away in embarrassment.

Everyone chuckled as they watched Nocturne annoyed with Unnerve’s antics, which was rare to happen between the two of them.

“I never saw you get mad before Nocturne," Inferno said as he chuckled.

“Don’t you normally welcome this treatment from Unnerve?” Sleuth wondered.

“It’s probably because we’re out in public on a cruise ship,” SnipeS said as he laughed a bit.

“And here I thought Nocturne didn’t have any pride or shame,” Kain said as he shrugged.

“Don’t mind him, he’s just a real grouch today,” Unnerve chuckled.

Nocturne just rolled his eyes as everyone began heading up to the top of the outer deck’s floor.

“The buffet is located up here, and this is where most people come to eat. But since you are all VIPs, you all have access to all the specialty restaurants,” Gao said as he took them to the top deck.

“Do we need to make a reservation? I can see in the app that all of these restaurants require it,” Kain said as he looked at his phone, using the cruise ship’s app to look at the available restaurants.

“This is where your room cards get you special access. No need for any reservations. The VIP sections in all the restaurants will always make room for all of you no matter what, so you won’t have to worry about them being unavailable,” Gao said with a smirk.

“How is this possible?” Nocturne asked Gao.

“Leon wanted to ensure that all of us have a great time, and he wants to take care of me, you, and Unnerve as well. Not to mention, giving our heroes a little VIP treatment too,” Gao replied.

“Then we better thank Leon later when we meet him again,” SnipeS said, while Inferno nodded his head in agreement.

Gao then took the group around the top deck, showing the group all the big water slides and numerous swimming pools, bars, and jacuzzis.

“Heh, well would you look at that,” Nocturne said as he looked at the water slides, impressed by the addition.

“We are already surrounded by water, but I appreciate this,” Unnerve said as he looked at the amenities.

“My natural water type instincts are kicking in just seeing this,” SnipeS said as he looked at the swimming pools.

“I’ve never tried to go to a jacuzzi before…!” Kain said, naturally excited to see everything.

“And it’s all free for us to use? I’m so excited!” Sleuth said as he looked around with glee.

“Not my type of activity, but I might use the jacuzzi if Sleuth wants me to get some of my scales wet,” Inferno said, as he wasn’t too keen on getting in water.

“Now if you don’t mind, let’s head on over to the surfing simulation station. It’s one of the best attractions we have,” Gao said as he introduced them to the amenity.

As Gao presented the surfing simulator to them, they then noticed a garchomp who was a bit different than normal, much different from Gabu at least.

The garchomp had some fur on his arm fins, thighs, and neck, The coloring was also different, like that of a shiny garchomp as well.

The group was amazed as to how easily the garchomp was able to ride the wave of the surfboard to and fro, like he was a natural at it. They saw him move his body to the tip of the board, his feet planted at the top as he hangs ten.

The garchomp then noticed them as he signaled the rest of his team to turn off the surfing simulator with a gesture, which the team did, getting off the surfboard.

“Are these your VIPs that the captain mentioned?” Garchomp asked Gao as he walked towards them, with a gruff voice.

“Yes they are. I trust you’ve already been told much about them?” Gao asked him.

“Of course… Pleased to meet you all” The garchomp said as he reached a hand out to Nocturne.

Nocturne and everyone else looked at what seemed to be his fin. He was wearing a special glove that gave him what seemed to be fingers, shocking everyone as they looked at it.

The garchomp was not surprised that they were startled by his glove and fingers as Kain and Sleuth immediately took a closer look at the glove.

“I’ve never seen anything invented like this before, I’m so intrigued by the design!” Kain said as he carefully examined the glove.

“This is the first time I’ve seen a device like this in my research before. Even better than most prosthetics I’ve seen!” Sleuth said as he even touched the fingers.

The garchomp chuckled and removed his glove, showing his fin to be that of every other garchomp, before placing it back on.

“Heh, my name is Fury, and my glove was designed to give me fingers to help me grab objects, like this,” Fury said gruffly as he briefly tightened his grip on Kain and Sleuth’s hands, startling the two and making them withdraw.

“W-Wow… I’ve never seen someone have such dexterity before…!” Kain said as he felt up his own hands, having never felt fingers before.

“Amazing… What are those digits made of? Did you base this off of another pokemorph?” Sleuth said as they both returned to feeling up the foreign fingers.

The rest of the group chuckled as they went about nerdily talking with each other, amusing Fury a bit as he lent them his glove.

“Listen up because I won’t repeat myself! Once again, my name is Fury, and I’m the surfboard instructor here, as well as the head lifeguard of the ship. My job is to ensure the safety of all passengers on board when it involves the water. That means not only over everyone in the pool, but anyone that falls overboard if such a thing happens. I also train other pokemorphs on how to ride a surfboard as well, provided you have the determination to keep trying and avoid bit-” Gao gave him a sharp look as he decided not to be too blunt with his wording “... Complaining about my training,” Fury finished, although he seemed to have wanted to be more himself about how he explained it.

“Good, because I know how to perfectly swim, and I’ve always wanted to learn how to surf,” SnipeS said as he stepped up.

“I wasn’t expecting to see a water type that didn’t know how to surf before”, Fury said, surprised by what SnipeS had said.

“I’ve mainly been land-locked my whole life, and I only ever rarely had the chance to swim. I don’t get many chances to ride waves, and I want to learn,” SnipeS said as he saw this as an opportunity to learn how to surf.

“I’ll be more than happy to teach you when we disembark. I’d love to talk more but we have more setup to do… Now, my gloves,” Fury said, holding a fin out for his glove back.

Kain and Sleuth handed the glove back, which Fury placed back on his fin.

“Farewell, and I expect you to keep up that urge to learn. There’s nothing I hate more than those who are all show and no bite,” Fury told SnipeS before leaving.

The group waved at Fury as he left, before Gao turned to the rest of the group.

“Let’s continue the tour shall we?” Gao said as he began showing them around the top deck some more.

“This is where the tennis courts, pickle ball courts, zip-lining, mini-golf, and basketball courts are, if any of you are interested later,” Gao said as he showed them more features of the top deck.

The group was amazed at the numerous other activities that they can do here, they then noticed another Sceptile in the distance. This one though, was dressed formally like Gao and the rest of the crew on board.

Kain was intrigued to see another of his kind and briskly walked over to greet his kin.

Seeing his boyfriend running off to greet some stranger, SnipeS quickly chased after him, with everyone else following behind.

As Kain approached the other Sceptile, Kain immediately reached out and began shaking his paw.

“I’m so excited to see more of my fellow brethren! How are you?” Kain excitedly said as he shook his hand.

The Sceptile gave a surprised smile, before becoming composed as he gave Kain a confident smile and shook his hand back graciously.

Before the Sceptile can reply to Kain, SnipeS had caught up to them.

“Sorry for that… My boyfriend just isn’t too used to meeting other Sceptiles. He never usually acts like this,” SnipeS apologized to the Sceptile that Kain was bothering.

SnipeS and Kain looked at him, noticing he is a bit different than normal. He had red colored horns, clawtips, and blades.

“What’s up? No big deal. I can see your boyfriend finds our species a bit rare. The name’s Gus by the way,” Gus said as he smiled at them.

“I’m Kain! And this is my boyfriend, David!” Kain was all too eager to introduce himself and SnipeS, not even giving his boyfriend a chance to introduce himself out of excitement.

The rest of the group caught up as Kain began introducing Gus to them.

“Everyone! This is Gus! Sorry for rushing ahead but I just never saw another of my kind in a while!” Kain said as he introduced everyone.

As everyone else approached the three, Gus waved to the group, keeping himself rather composed.

Kain turned to Gus and said, “I know I shouldn’t have ran off, but I can’t help it! It’s just so fun to find out more about my kind. Just look at his appearance, he looks a bit different than me!”

“Thanks. I mean, I’m still a Sceptile at the end of the day,” said Gus.

“Ahem… Anyway, Gus here is the one in charge of the sports equipment and zip-lining on the ship. If you wish to participate, he’d be the one in charge” Gao told them, making Kain a little bit excited on the last part.

“And I wish I had more time to talk some more, but I have to get ready for the departure. I bid you all farewell,” Gus said, ceremoniously leaving them.

“Goodbye… Alright, time to get to the next and last spot of the top of the outer deck” Gao said as he started leading them to the top outer deck.

As they were walking towards the outer deck, Gao mentioned a few things to note of Gus.

“Just a heads up for you guys, Gus can be a bit hot headed. You might not have seen it, since this is his first introduction to everyone and he was quickly briefed about the VIPs coming to see him. So try your best to not provoke him too much, and I mean it…Dad,” said Gao as he looked at Unnerve.

Astonished, Unnerve put his paw to his chest. “What do you mean, me?”

“I’ll speak for the group and you know you easily pick fights with everyone. Ken is the best example,” Nocturne said.

Blowing steam again from his nostrils, Unnerve folded his arms and said, “Tch, whatever. Let’s just keep going with the tour.”

Unnerve walked a little forward from the group, mumbling to himself.

Inferno whispered to Nocturne, “Is he going to be alright?”

“Yeah, he’ll be fine. I’m used to it at this point,” Nocturne said.

“I feel for ya,” Inferno replied.

Seeing the situation being slightly defused, Gao then resumed speaking about the rest of this part of the ship.

“This is one of the best spots of the ship, and houses all types of games from redemption games, to rhythm games, to arcade and shooting games. Feel free to spend your day here at your leisure playing video games,” Gao said as he showed them the machines.

“I always wanted to see how good you are at shooting games. Though I don’t really know if your job translates well to video games” Inferno said to SnipeS, wondering if his skills with a real gun would be just as good in a video game.

“Of course, I’m probably the best shot at shooting with pinpoint accuracy” SnipeS boasted.

“I barely have time to play games anyway” Unnerve said to Nocturne.

“Well, I didn’t really give Gao many opportunities to play growing up, since we were strapped for cash at the time,” Nocturne said, as he remembered that they didn’t even have the luxury to have some past times.

“It’s alright dad. I wasn’t able to play many of the new games growing up anyway, but the ones you got me back then were really fun to play with, and you made sure that the experience really lasted long unlike some games today,” Gao said as he hugged Nocturne, who accepted and hugged him back.

Sleuth and Kain were running around and admiring all the cabinets. As they ran, Sleuth accidentally stepped on someone’s cloak, stumbling as he fell face down with his tail up.

“Sleuth! Are you alright?” Kain said as he immediately ran to help him up, hearing a slight grumble from someone.

The two of them then saw a Nickit right beneath the hood of the cloak that they tripped on.

“I… I’m so sorry! I must have not been looking at where I was going! M-My name is Victor, if you have any problems with me, just report me to the security guards!” Victor apologized as he bowed his head over and over.

“It’s fine. I’m Kain and this is my friend Sleuth. We didn’t mean what happened, it’s our fault!” Kain said as he apologized.

“Y-Yeah! It was our fault! I wasn’t looking when we were running around, I should have watched where we were going so the least we could do is be the ones to apologize!” Sleuth said as he apologized along with Kain.

“It’s fine, as long as it’s an accident! I-I’m just a little bit clumsy so I thought it was my fault again, I’m so sorry! I wish we could talk some more, but I’m too busy getting the arcade ready since I’m the manager of the area! G-Goodbye!” Victor said as he walked away, stumbling a bit as he accidentally stepped on his own cloak, before continuing on his way.

“Goodbye!” Sleuth and Kain said as they waved at him, before regrouping with the others, with SnipeS having observed the event that happened from a distance.

“What happened?” SnipeS asked them.

“I accidentally stepped on someone’s cloak, I apologized for it though,” Sleuth explained.

“Yeah, and it turns out he was a Nickit named Victor, who happens to be the arcade manager,” Kain continued.

“Although he did look a bit smaller than a normal Nickit…” Sleuth added.

“Leon sure has an assortment of cast members working on the ship huh?” Nocturne told Gao.

“He just likes the diversity, although it is strange how most of the ones who work closely with him are the Piplup line. Either way, now that I’ve showed you around most of the outer deck, it’s time to take you inside and show you the casino,” Gao said as he continued the tour with them.

The group then went inside the ship and were now right below the cabins, where all the guests resided as Gao took them through an art gallery.

“I see Leon has an exquisite taste in art…” Unnerve said as he looked at the mosaic paintings and what he could only assume was paintings of places Leon had visited in the past.

“He likes to keep memories of the places his mentor visited before he commandeered this vessel,” Gao said before they arrived in the casino.

As they entered the casino, they saw various Pokemon working to get the casino ready for everyone to use.

“We haven’t actually sailed from the port yet, I guess you can say that until everything is ready, this cruise ship will stay here for the most part. Until then, we can’t legally open the casino yet, mostly because of the laws of the land this ship is on. So, we make sure to keep the casino closed every time. There are various slot machines and card tables, not to mention a craps table and a roulette table too,” Gao commented.

All of a sudden, a Machamp approached the group.

“Hey! This area is off limits right now!” The Machamp said as he crossed both sets of his arms.

“I apologize for intruding, I was just giving this group a tour,” Gao said as he stepped up.

“Ugh! I don’t really care who you are, we are not open,” The Machamp responded angrily, as if not even enjoying the whole interaction.

“These are VIPs, so I have an obligation to-” Gao tried to explain, but was quickly cut off by the Machamp who quickly grew displeased with each second they were talking.

“I don’t care about the status of anyone. It says closed, so we’re closed!” Machamp yelled as he grew even angrier.

Unnerve couldn’t take any more of the disrespect and stepped in, sizing up the Machamp as he looked him up and down.

“It’s rude to talk to another co-worker like that you know!” Unnerve growled at the Machamp.

“Oh yeah? You want to pick a fight? I’ve handled plenty of dragon types like you and put them in the ground plenty of times!” Machamp said as he cracked his knuckles.

“Enough!” A voice said, making everyone turn to the source of it.

They turned to see an Absol walking up to the group, who was dressed in a fancy hat, a fancy black blazer and dress pants, themed after a luxury ball.

Being quadrupedal, the Absol did a curtsy bow, and brought one of his fore legs and crossed his body with it. He then gave the Machamp a glare, causing him to take a step back and back away, before leaving.

“My apologies for that… My name is Amatsu, and I am in charge of the casino,” Amatsu apologized to them while tapping one of his feet.

“Yes, we’re sorry for entering an area that is off limits,” Nocturne said on behalf of everyone in the group.

“No, I agree with you that this area is closed right now, but that worker should have been more subtle in his approach. Look, I’d like to talk more but I need to get the casino ready. So, if you all can please leave. You are more than welcomed though to come visit once we set sail. Anyways, goodbye,” The Absol said, though with his movements, it was like he was all too glad to be over with the interaction, based on how eager he seemed to get out of the conversation.

“I think we should take his advice and leave,” Gao said, not wanting to run into any more easily irritated workers.

“I can’t wait for my turn at lady luck” Inferno said as he glanced at SnipeS before they left.

Gao then took the group down to the promenade, a gathering where all the ship patrons could idly hang out during the day or night.

“This place gets very lively at night, we play music here to get the other mons dancing with each other, and enjoy the night life,” Gao explained to them.

“I’m not the best with crowds,” Unnerve said, waving dismissively at going around talking and dancing with strangers.

“We don’t have to be here if you don’t want to, you know, not like I’ll force you to or anything,” Nocturne said as he held Unnerve’s paw.

“No, I have to at least try it once, just to see what it’s like,” Unnerve said as he shook his head, wanting to at least change a bit despite his dislike of the thought.

Nocturne smiled and kissed him on the lips, before Unnerve kissed him back.

“This place is open 24 hours so we can always decide when to visit or not. And who knows, maybe you can get to the promenade with nobody around, which happens rarely. Some guests like it when the promenade is empty, it has a more romantic air to it. Anyway, continuing on from here, there are various shops and restaurants just like I told you earlier in this area,” Gao said as he continued to walk them through the tour.

“Huff… All this walking is making my feet hurt and a bit thirsty” SnipeS said as he stopped for a moment.

“You have got to be kidding me, the amount of spy work you do is nothing compared to this,” Kain said as he shook his head.

“Yes, but this isn’t spy work we’re going on right now. We’re on vacation mode, and I want to relax and enjoy a drink too,” SnipeS said as he looked a bit out of breath.

“Hey, drinking is always a blast, and alcohol is liquid courage for a reason. Trust me, it’ll be worth it enduring all this legwork,” Inferno said as he smiled and stood up for SnipeS, and to give him something to look forward to later.

Sleuth just rolled his eyes, drinking… He never really saw the value in drinking alcohol and how bitter or awful it tasted to him.

Nocturne and Unnerve sighed as they realized that Inferno and SnipeS could cause some trouble if they went out of their way to drink too much while on the cruise ship.

“I know the place quite well, you can get a drink and rest for a bit whenever you want. And they keep an eye on if you drink too much just so guests don’t become rowdy. Here, I’ll take you to one of the places I frequent to,” Gao said before taking them to one of the bars.

As the group took a look at the place, they noticed the name of the bar, which was called Tavern of the Seas.

“Huh, so original, just like the name of the ship,” Unnerve commented.

Both Gao and Nocturne gave Unnerve a dirty look.

“Don’t be a dick, hun. This is Gao’s boyfriend’s ship, and we should give it the respect it deserves,” Nocturne told Unnerve.

“Ugh, I’m just saying, he could have come up with a better name” Unnerve said as he walked into the bar.

Nocturne shook his head as he followed suit, with the others tailing afterwards, and with Gao entering last.

As they all entered, they looked around and noticed the decor around the place. It had a classic look, with a finished wooden bar area with comfy looking chairs to sit around and talk. There were also tables and sofa chairs for those who wanted to indulge in a more date-like setting.

“Alright, please wait here, I’m going to go get the guy in charge,” Gao said as everyone sat on a table that fit them all.

Gao then headed towards the back of the bar, and as he did, the group could hear voices being heard. Gao was faintly being heard talking to someone before returning to them with what looked to be the bar manager, a Hisuian Typhlosion.

The Hisuian Typhlosion looked at the group before mumbling to himself.

“What the fu… What the hell, Gao. Wait… Shit, I forgot this is not my story… But anyways, come on Gao. This is more than I can handle without the rest of the crew!” The Hisuian Typhlosion said, confusing the others what he was so agitated about, or what he meant about this not being his story.

“Please Vitry, just this once, I’m asking for a favor. My family and friends are a bit thirsty, and you are the best of the best on the ship. You know Leon chose you for a reason,” Gao pleaded with him.

Vitry shook his head and sighed, seeming to relent at Gao’s plea.

“Fine, Gao. At least drop the disguise while you are in here, I can’t get used to seeing you not as yourself. Hell, why are all these people here in the first place? So many of us here, how did we end up in this story?” Vitry said, confusing the group further. This person was talking like they were stuck in a book or something.

“What are you talking about? What story?” Gao asked as he broke his disguise and reverted back to his Zoroark form.

“... Don’t worry about it, just talking to myself,” Vitry said as he responded.

Everyone looked confused about what happened, it was like Vitry knew something they didn’t.

“Everything alright, Gao? You seem to know this Hisuian Typhlosion really well,” Nocturne asked, being the first to break the ice after the awkward silence.

“Yes dad, this is Vitry. He is one of the best bartenders you will ever meet. Leon personally handpicked him to be on his ship, and manage this place,” Gao nodded, seemingly shaking off what Vitry was saying earlier.

“Pleasure to meet you all. I know of Gao’s secret and his relationship with Leon, so don’t worry, I won’t tell a soul. But anyway, I am not officially open yet, but I’ll make this exception for everyone here, just once. Give me a moment and I’ll whip something up,” Vitry said as he went behind the bar.

Without skipping a beat, he started making a drink for everyone to enjoy before passing them all out.

Kain was given a refreshing Mojito, SnipeS was given a Blue Hawaiian, Inferno an AMF, Sleuth a Lava Flow, Gao an Irish Coffee, and Gao an Old Fashion. Unnerve, however, was a bit of a mystery.

“I picked out all these things based on what I think your personalities are like. This happens to be one of the main draws of my bar and why my drinks are so popular. You don’t know what you’re going to get. For example… You, my green lizard friend, I think will enjoy a refreshing Mojito. The mints will do it justice along with the soothing rum. It will help with your scales, just like another grass lizard friend I am close to,” Vitry said as he turned to Kain.

“Thanks… Wait.. Another lizard friend…?” Kain said as he questioned the last thing that Vitry said.

“For the blue lizard, a Blue Hawaiian should be perfect for you… For the fire lizard… Someone of your heroic looking status should be fine with an AMF. For the… Whatever you are, Mr. Dinosaur… A Lava Flow should make sense for you. As for you, Gao, your favorite Irish Coffee. And for you, Mr. Night Fox, you would enjoy an Old Fashion. And last but not least, for you, Mr. “Unoriginal” Axe Lizard, have this,” Vitry said as he passed along the drinks to everyone before coldly passing the last drink to Unnerve.

“Have a Mai Tai,” Vitry said smugly, with Unnerve giving him a death stare, eliciting a reaction that Vitry found satisfying before he started cleaning a glass with a cloth.

Unnerve then took his drink as everyone examined theirs.

“It’s alright, I’m more of a Sex on the Beach sorta dragon, if you want to give me some fruity shit,” Unnerve grumbled before drinking it.

“You wish you can have sex on the beach. Only way you get laid. Fuck, how did someone like you, and that night fox over there even have a chance with each other,” Vitry mumbled under his breath as he rolled his eyes.

“What did you say you motherfu-” Unnerve said as he perked up and began to stand up from his seat.

Before anything could happen, Nocturne immediately placed his paw on Unnerve’s shoulder to remind him that they were just guests here.

“Hey now, calm down Unnerve. We are here to relax, no need to get worked up,” Nocturne warned Unnerve, before taking a sip of the drink.

“Fine… Whatever. Hope you guys all enjoy your drinks then,” Unnerve said as he blew smoke out of his nose and crossed his arms.

Everyone else took a sip of their drinks. They all found them quite to their taste.

“This is actually very good! It feels so chilly and fruity too!” Sleuth said, complementing Vitry.

“And it reminds me of Hoenn, I never knew that you could remind someone of the taste of home!” Kain commented.

“It’s refreshing, almost like what I imagine an untainted river tastes like” SnipeS said as he sipped the drink.

“I can’t say it’s what I expected, but it's the best damn drink I’ve tasted in a while” Inferno said as he admired the taste of the drink.

“As usual Vitry, it’s sublime… Thank you once more for allowing everyone to have a drink. As Gao led the group to their next destination, Unnerve had something to say, in particular, about Vitry.

Nocturne and Unnerve stood there as they looked at the black gem. It looked to be a normal, obsidian gemstone, but Nocturne could sense a dark energy from it.

“Are you sure you want to keep that? I don’t feel safe with it around us. Do you feel anything?” Unnerve asked as Nocturne held the gem.

Nocturne rolled the gemstone in his paw, but besides the dark energy from it, there was nothing else that seemed off. “I don’t sense anything, honestly.
