Feeding Your Husband: Chapter 6
By AutumnGoGoGoat
Still like a statue, the owl stood in the kitchen staring out the window. Kaida was barely thinking as she watched other Raxamorians going about their lives whilst she hid away. She’d only been outside once since arriving at the otter’s home, about three months now since being discharged from the hospital. Rocco had tried to encourage her to walk with him, but she barely got to the end of the row of houses before turning and running back inside to safety. There was this crippling fear, a tightness in her chest. She was worried what the others would think, how they’d react to seeing her after what happened. There had already been such contempt she felt from them her all life, now she couldn’t imagine any softer reaction from them. A part of her preferred the idea of them all thinking she was successful in her attempt. Would they have done a funeral, she often thought. Maybe Terri would have done a phoney heartfelt speech. Would Sova have even bothered going? Anxiety flooded her mind, she dug her talons into soft vinyl flooring.
It was lovely being with Rocco and Krill though. She felt safe in their home and their company made her happier than she had been in a long time. When she left the hospital they made such an effort to make her feel welcome. They even attempted to repair Kaida’s broken belongings to varying levels of success. She had her own room, it already was more comfortable than the sharehouse. She felt alive, grounded and safe when her fishy bois were there to keep her occupied.
Rocco, despite his largeness, did have a fairly active lifestyle. He partook in much of the settlement’s cultural and social activities, whilst also working at the Information Emporium. Which was very much a continuation of his academic work, cultivating and studying his planet's culture. Krill was solo as always, beyond his work that took him off planet, he typically kept in his own little world of Rocco, and now Kaida. He did look out for the new members from the more diverse crowd he’d brought to the planet. Though the Raxamorians tried their best, they still outnumbered everyone else. Out of the four hundred seventy three residents of the settlement, barely fifty were not owls. They were all glad to be safe but didn’t always feel like they fit in. Krill would argue their cases, often privately with Sova. She did listen, but her wings were often tied, juggling the operations of the settlement and keeping people happy.
Kaida was big bird now. The trifecta of her more sedentary lifestyle these past few months, finally getting to focus her cooking on herself, plus the temptations of being around one incredibly greedy otter and another that feeds, saw her waist line expand. Kaida’s once flat stomach was now round and heavy. Her hips filled out, giving her an overall wider appearance. She was no longer the tiny owl she once was. She was full breasted, her face chubbier. Her belly hung over her elastic sweatpants, poking out from her shirt. Deep stretch marks proved her rapid gain. Not exercising meant she got out of breath easier, despite not being as big as Rocco yet, she wasn’t as fit as he was. It didn’t matter much, considering her daily commute involved leaving her room, being in the kitchen or sitting on the sofa.
Krill came down the stairs and saw Kaida staring out of the window. He sighed softly, it was distressing seeing her do this. He made coffee, she didn’t even notice. He placed the steamy drink down on the table then went over to the suffering owl. He peaked at what she was looking at, just a family of owls, two women and their child having an evening walk.
“Hey, Kaida” Krill gently touched her wing. A few of her feathers came loose, since she’d not been preening.
She shuddered back to consciousness and after one last look outside she turned to the little grey otter.
“Hiya Krill. You made coffee? It smells good,” she perked up and gave him a soft smile.
“Yeah. Thought we could have a chat whilst Rocco’s at his bookclub,” he sipped at his cup of coffee.
“Bookclub, haha. I’m glad he’s managed to get so many interested in fiction again.”
“Come, sit on my lap,” Krill tapped his knees, gesturing for the plump owl to come over.
“Aren’t I too big to sit on you?” she hesitated.
“If I can handle Rocco on my lap, I can handle you,” he chuckled.
“Alright…” She awkwardly moved over to the otter and slowly sat on his lap, being extra careful not to squash him under her double sized ass.
Krill wrapped his arms around Kaida, feeling her newly squishy belly. She was much taller than him so he couldn’t see anything other than her feathery back. Ne nuzzled his little otter nose there.
“I know we’ve said it a thousand times already, but you can talk to us about anything,” he said with a mouth full of feathers.
“I don’t want to burden you with it. I already have burdened you so much,” she looked down.
“I promise you, you are not a burden to us,” he held her wing hands tightly.
“I just. I can’t. I keep trying to, but I can’t get the words to come to me. I keep telling myself to forget, to move on, but I know I should say something to you guys, and I have so much to say. But it’s like my brain goes blank when I try,” she was holding back tears.
“It’s alright. I’m sure the words will come eventually,” he paused for a while and felt the weight of the owl sat against him. “You know. I tried before,” he felt stiff whilst admitting that.
“What do you mean, you tried?” Kaida was surprised to hear that, but she knew exactly what he meant.
“Yeah. Back when mine and Rocco's planet was still around. I had always been the odd one, the guy no one talked to at school. I have no idea why, the way I looked or maybe because I was quiet or queer. Kids were mean and only got meaner when we moved to high school. But then I met Rocco. Sadly we didn’t have much interaction in high school, missed each other mostly since we had different classes. But he was sweet and I liked him all the way back then. I wish I had the courage to have hung out with him more. But I was blessed with another chance later in life, thankfully. But yeah, the scar on my face isn’t from some epic space injury, I was that anxious I had this tick where I'd scratch myself until it bled. I still do it sometimes. Being with Rocco helped a lot with that though,” he paused to collect his thoughts, Kaida continued to listen.
“And then a war broke out between our country and another due to Koen and Robo-Owl’s meddling. I was drafted. Rocco escaped the draft since he was involved in the group of special advisors the government had to communicate with the owl “brothers” as they claimed to be at the time. I couldn’t take it. I was already in a really bad place, couldn’t work, I was living off of Rocco and felt so guilty over that. He was so good to me though when we started dating. Gave me hope and everything, but the war robbed me of that short lived stability. The thought of being taken from Rocco and put on the front lines, for a war that didn’t even make sense, terrified me. I should have talked to him sooner, but I convinced myself that was it. That I was going to go and die fighting against the people of a country I had spent the first decade of my adult life living alongside. I knew they weren’t our enemy. So I decided, in my desperation, I was going to end my life on my own terms,” he was calm though solemn whilst recounting his past. He’d held it in for a long time, only having told Rocco briefly. It seemed to come out easier talking to Kaida, maybe he felt she would understand having been in the same boat.
Kaida had always assumed Krill’s scars were from battle. But now she recalled Krill often scratching at his face. His story was emotionally complex for Kaida. On one hand, it was a relief to hear that someone else finally understood her, finally grasped the words she had begged others to understand for so long. She always felt others would only ever understand the surface level, never the depth. They grasped what anxiety, depression and other such experiences were from a logical, basic definition standpoint, but they didn’t truly get it nor were able to properly relate to Kaida. Krill could though, he understood and Kaida understood him. Desperation muddied her feelings, as despite it feeling a relief to finally find someone who understands, it was also upsetting to know that such pain plagued Krill too, it made her feel like there was no hope for either of them. She pulled herself from the thoughts and listened to the otter again.
“I was intending to drown myself in the ocean, I wanted to do it far away from Rocco, to lessen the distress as best I could. The day I was going to do it Rocco came running home excited, yeah he used to be able to run. He had good news, he had been able to get me removed from the draft by convincing the president during one of the meetings. If that was just a day later, I’d be dead. I’ll always be so grateful, once again, for getting a second chance from my lovely husband,” he smiled and breathed into her back.
Kaida gently slid off of Krill's lap, moving to lay down on the sofa whilst resting her head on his lap instead. He caressed her feathers gently.
“Thank you for sharing that with me. I had no idea. I always saw you as so strong and brave,” she stroked his chest and looked up at his amber eyes.
“Well, I am strong. And so are you, our troubles don’t define us. The fact we are still here is testament to how important life is. Despite the fact that life is hard sometimes and others aren’t always there to help us and many want to do us harm. But as long as we have someone special rooting for us along the way, we’ll always have that strength to keep going,” Krill said, both a bit proud and embarrassed of his speech.
Kaida was quiet for a while as she took it all in whilst the otter played with her feathers.
“I’m scared to go outside. Still. I keep thinking about people making a big deal about what happened. Or making comments, or being disturbed by my scars, or heck, being shocked at how fat I’ve got” she sighed sadly.
“Quite a few people have asked about you,” Krill said reassuringly.
“Like who?” she scoffed.
“Sova has. She misses you a lot.”
“I’ve not talked to Sova for years. I became a burden to her too,” her words cracked.
“Tell me about when you met her.”
“I was like five,” she tried to brush it off.
“Come on…” he gently prodded her chubby cheek.
She was quiet for a while, lost in thought looking for the words to say. Krill was patient though.
“I was so young at the time, the memories are a blur. I’m not sure if it’s all true, or me half remembering from dreams and piecing together stories. But I do remember how Sova saved me. In the end on Raxam, it was chaos outside, riots had started. It was so sudden, this contrast of perfect orderliness dissolved in just a few days. I remember her rushing in, in a blaze of glory, that’s what it was like for me at least. She was being chased by kobold clones, she needed some clearance code or something from my so-called parents, two “esteemed” scientists of the Raxam Science Council, to activate the quantum-pile-driver. It’s what got us all here to this safe planet before the merge happened. She was so kind, despite all the horror that was going on around us, she was kind. She was the first person to talk to me like I was a person and not just some object. She did so much for me as a child here, but I became too much in my teen years, I’m too broken, she’s got far more important things to deal with than me and my pathetic needs,” Kaida held onto the otter tightly.
“Sova is busy, sure, but I think she would love to see you again. She would never consider you pathetic,” Krill spoke softly.
Kaida was silent, not wanting to argue her case for being pathetic, she knew Krill would talk her out of it. But seeing Sova was a bit much at the moment, it had been a bit much for a long time. She had left it too long and what was initially the need for some space, became a deep rooted shame.
Krill smiled down at her and held her face gently. He wanted to make her feel better, but knew it was easier said than done. Being physically close helped though, he could tell she enjoyed the touch of others, something she probably never had before becoming friends with the otters. It made Krill happy as well, at first he was uncertain when Rocco got involved with Kaida. He didn’t understand the desire for polygamy and was even hurt at the idea of his husband wanting to be intimate with another. But he had settled his concerns, knowing that Rocco was always going to be his and had no intention of leaving him. Plus he had come to realise what Rocco saw in Kaida. She was lovely, nice, funny and dark. Sure she was damaged, but so was Krill. She had a depth other people lacked. She had unique attributes that made her one of the few people Krill actually liked. It attracted him to her. He was suddenly full of feelings he was sort of confused by. Knots in his stomach. The otter looked deep into the owl’s eyes and slowly edged his mouth toward her beak, his whiskers tickled her face. He wasn’t entirely sure what was compelling him, but he wanted to kiss her. Kaida was surprised, but ready to embrace another otter. She closed her eyes and opened her beak. Breaking the moment, the door swung open to reveal Rocco, who was almost as wide as the door frame now. Krill jumped away from Kaida, almost knocking her off the sofa.
“Heyy honey. Welcome home!” Krill had run over to Rocco to greet him.
Rocco kissed his husband and smiled at Kaida before dropping his books on the counter. He plonked down on the sofa, where Kaida’s head was moments before. She was now sitting up, sort of disappointed Krill hadn’t kissed her, but happy to see Rocco nevertheless.
“How are you two?” Rocco asked, smiling warmly.
“Yeah good, we were just having a chat over some coffee. How was bookclub?” Krill replied.
“It was fun. I finally convinced them to read one of our books!”
“Damn! That’s a surprise. I thought those old ladies only wanted the romance stuff?”
“I made a convincing argument they couldn’t get out of”
“Did you promise to bring them some walnut cake?” Kaida
“No no, though I will need some walnut cake for the next bookclub if you don’t mind baking some?”
“Sure. And I’ll try not to put poison in them,” the owl grinned.
“Kaida! My lovely oldies at the bookclub don’t need poisoning,” he tapped her shoulder.
Kaida and Krill both leaned on the big chubby otter.
“So what’s for dinner then?” Rocco asked, as his belly gave an audible rumble.
“I was thinking of making some DoubleDowns™️, I got the replicator to make a deep fat fryer earlier today, it looks amazing,” Kaida pointed over at the shiny new kitchen appliance.
“Couldn’t you have got the replicator to make DoubleDowns™️?” Krill suggested.
“Yes, but they’d taste like crap. I want to make us the good stuff,” Kaida gave him a look.
“Isn’t chicken sort of like, offensive for you to eat? Both being birds and all that? I don’t think I could eat another mammal,” Rocco gave a concerned expression.
“I don’t care, besides chicken is a totally different taste to owl. We’re more gamey. Also you being more up for eating birds than you are mammals seems more offensive to me,” Kaida shrugged.
“Oh, I'm sorry,” he gave her a little kiss on the cheek.
Kaida heaved herself off of the sofa and went to cook. She would prepare Krill a normal sized meal, whilst herself and Rocco would have an extra large variant. Her own meals had maybe started off somewhere in between but had quickly become as big as Rocco’s. Her appetite grew, she loved her own cooking and the feeling of being stuffed was both erotic and comforting for her. Her recipes became more decadent, now she wasn’t cooking for a general audience, she could use however much butter and fattening ingredients she wanted.
The heat in the kitchen from the deep fat fryer was causing Kaida to gular flutter, a sort of panting that birds do to regulate temperature. The otters were mesmerised by this as they watched her plate up the food. Krill’s plate had a small DoubleDown™️ with a side of beans and mashed potato. Her own and Rocco’s plates were stacked high with six of the double fillet creations with piles of mash and other sides. The otters thanked her for the meal then dug in to their feast.
“Either of you two need more? There’s some nice mint chocolate chip ice cream,” the stuffed bird enquired.
“No way, am so full. It was lovely though, as always!” Krill pushed his plate away, a few bites remained.
“Honestly same. I barely could eat another moresol,” the plump otter shifted in his chair, as he patted his rotund belly.
“Oh well, more for me,” Kaida said with glee as she bent down, giving her otters a perfect view of her juicy ass.
The otters looked at her both aroused, and a little concerned. Rocco was about to say something but Krill stopped him. She sat there and ate scoop after scoop of ice cream. It made a mess all over her face and feathers. She was gagging as she stuffed more in, a little liquid ice cream, and maybe chicken would escape from her beak and nose, but she kept going. She was already beyond full but she kept going, no matter the ache. Finally she dropped the spoon in the empty container, she was satisfied and proud of herself.
“Damn,” Krill’s eyes were wide.
Rocco was mildly envious, if only he hadn’t gobbled so many biscuits at the bookclub he might have managed to fit some ice cream in as well. Still, he was shocked at how much she should pack away, Kaida was already outpacing him.
“Could you guys help me to bed? I think I over did it,” she gulped and burped.
They helped support her as she carried her overfilled belly. Thankfully her room was on the ground floor, so no stairs need be attempted. She plonked down heavily causing her bed to creak. Softer parts of her body jiggled with the force, her belly was taut and tight though. Both the otters were turned on seeing this.
“Sorry, I’ll probably throw up if I try to have sex. Maybe in the morning," she was disappointed, but knew it would be a mistake.
“No worries. You rest up now. We’ll have some fun tomorrow,” Krill winked at her and left.
Rocco gave his gal a kiss goodnight then followed his hubby to bed.

Feeding Your Husband: Chapter 5
By AutumnGoGoGoat
Krill stared at the metal floor of the spaceship. He wasn’t even thinking. The long weeks traveling through space had taken a toll. His gun was slung next to him, he’d used it to slay far too many kobold clone soldiers. He used to feel guilt over it, but their lack of apparent emotions and absolute obedience made them the clear target over the terrified victims of The Shudan and self declared “last of the Raxamorians” owl Koen. Most in the galaxy were ignorant to the evils their elected leader and his benefactors had committed to countless planets in the name of scientific advancement. Krill knew first paw what he was capable of.
The ship dropped out of quantum travel and the engines slowed as the planet where his husband and the true Raxamorian settlement was based came into view. It was lovely, blue and green, it reminded him of home. He was eager to get down there and chill out with his husband. He needed to unwind after this mission, the threat was escalating. He’d never tell Rocco this, but there had been several occasions where he didn’t think he would have made it back alive. It was unpleasant work, but someone had to do it. Krill wasn’t alone though, he had his team. A plucky band of rogues and misfits. Willing to sacrifice themselves to try and help those they can to find peace in a galaxy that has seen so much pain in recent years. Most of them were asleep, exhausted. It was just Krill, the jackal pilot Marro and about five scared refugees huddled together. They were coming to the settlement. Krill didn’t care what the owls thought, they could do with more diversity there.
“Krill, we’re here.” Marro said, looking back at the otter whilst pulling the ship into orbit.
He snapped back into existence.
“Right. I’ll start teleporting these lot down.” Krill replied as he got up and started preparing the teleportation equipment to beam them down to the settlement.
“I still don’t get why you choose to live with the owls after what happened.” Marro shook her head.
“It’s peaceful in the settlement. Me and Rocco are happy there. Besides, it’s not their fault. At least half of em’ were children when Raxam was destroyed. Sova was brilliant for getting so many of them off-world in time. Suppose she was sort of like us; fought hard to protect her people from authoritarian bastards.”
“I guess. I don’t think I could ever have a domestic life though. I like flying this ol’ gal too much” the jackal said, whilst stroking the control panel.
Krill ushered the worried group onto the teleportation panel and joined them
“Tell the guys it’s been a pleasure.”
“Shall do! And you tell that chubby hubby of yours he needs to get back up here sometime!”
Krill nodded as the teleport started, he and the other five were beamed down to the central hub of the settlement. He passed the gang of refugees to a somewhat bewildered owl official and made a quick exit. He had no energy left for whatever paperwork they might have wanted him to fill out. He walked through the settlement and breathed in the fresh air. It felt good not having to deal with artificial gravity anymore. A few of the owls waved. An old granny always made sure to greet him, even if she could only speak native Raxamese. The younger owls found the otter pair interesting and always came to make a fuss whenever Krill or Rocco were out and about. It was the boomer aged owls who were a bit funny about the pair. Nothing too consequential, but you could tell they felt awkward. A sort of mix between xenophobia and guilt Krill had settled on. They didn’t know how to handle other beings with how Raxam became so isolated in its final days, other cultures confused them. Then there was a collective guilt from what their people did to the otter’s planet. Even if it wasn’t them themselves that did it.
Suddenly his tranquil peace was interrupted by a small emergency vehicle zipping past him, it had a loud siren blaring. He saw it pull up next to a house that already had a gaggle of owls surrounding it. Krill was curious so walked over to see what was happening. The owls surrounding the house were chattering and seemed tense. The doors of the vehicle burst open and paramedic owls rushed out into the house.
“What happened? Is everyone okay?” Krill tried asking anyone in the crowd.
“I think someone died maybe?” one owl said, his head on the side.
“No, they’d not have the lights on for that. Probably a panic attack or something knowing these young ones!” a boomer owl exclaimed.
“Why’d they have the lights on for that though? Making it up you are!” another argued.
“I bet it was that weird one. Got what was coming to her!” one unpleasant owl spatted.
“We should probably step back a bit and not crowd the door.” Krill suggested, to the begrudgement of some in the crowd.
Terri with her broken wing, alongside three other twenty something owl girls were huddled together in their pajamas. Krill could hear them murmuring about how disgusting and scary whatever had happened was, they were clearly in shock.
Then the paramedic owls emerged from the house pulling a stretcher with Kaida’s unconscious body. Krill shoved past and went straight to her.
“Kaida! Oh my word. What has happened to her” he cried.
She had deep bruising around her neck and an arm full of fresh cuts, the blood soaked her feathers. She looked dead. Krill felt sick. The state she was in was horrendous. Terri and the other girls on seeing the body burst into tears and had to walk away.
“No no no. What happened?” Krill was beside himself. Even after all the horrors he saw over the last few weeks fighting in space, he wasn’t prepared to see this today.
“Suicide attempt. She’s stable, but we need to get her to the hospital right away. She’s been unconscious for a long time and has lost a lot of blood“ one of the paramedics bluntly responded whilst preparing some equipment and pushing the stretcher into the ambulance. A device lay on her chest and a metal band around her head. Krill recognised them as some of the most intense medical devices the Raxamorians have at their disposal. He didn’t want to leave her alone but he let the paramedics take her away, the doctors would help her.
Krill tried ringing Rocco “Pick pick up… why doesn’t he ever look at his phone”. He dropped his bag and ran as fast as he could to their house. He slapped through the door to find Rocco sat reading a book and munching on some pie.
“Rocco! Come quick. Kaida’s in trouble. We need to go to the hospital right now”
He looked up in horror from his book.
“Fuck”
⁂
In the hospital doctors worked tirelessly to recover Kaida. They pumped her with synthetic blood, laser sealed up her wounds, did various operations and scanned her brain for damage. The two worried otters could do nothing but wait. Rocco sat there, he couldn’t help but stress eat snacks. Krill paced back and forth, his exhaustion replaced with nervous energy.
Eventually a doctor came out. He pulled his mask off his beak and came over to two otters.
“How is she?” Krill asked.
“You’re her friends, yes?”
“Yeah, we are”
“She’s pulled through. It was close though. If there had been any delay we’d have lost her.”
“Can we go see her?” Rocco asked.
“Yes. She’s a bit subdued at the moment, she was really delirious at first but she’s calmed down now” the doctor led them to a private room.
Kaida was laying in the hospital bed, her eyes were squinting at nothing as they had difficulty focusing on anything. She looked weak and unwell. She was in a gown and tucked in comfy in the hospital bed. Her wing was bandaged up and neck too. There were tubes going into her and a machine bleeped as it monitored her vitals. She barely noticed them enter the room and sit next to her.
“Hello Kaida. How are you feeling?” Rocco asked.
She slowly turned her head to the otters. She was confused at first but eventually figured out who they were and she smiled.
“Heyy, Rocco, Krill, my fishy bois. I’m glad you’re here. I don’t think I can feel anything at the moment, they’ve given me so many painkillers and antidepressants. H-how was space?” her voice was weak.
“Same old space. Lots of drama up there. Brought some new people to the settlement though.” Krill said softly.
“Ohh that is good. I hope they’re nice”
“I think they are, yeah. An axolotl husband and wife with their baby. Plus two others I can barely remember to be honest, been a long few weeks!”
“Ooo more fish. We should go swimming with them… that would be so much fun!” she was fatigued and slow, but also sort of wacky from the powerful drugs.
Rocco was tearing up “Kaida… we were so scared for you. Why…”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to scare anyone.. I.. I.. ”
He placed his paw on her hand. “We’re so glad you’re alright. That’s all that matters is you’re here, still with us.” Rocco said, his lip quivering.
“I just, I can’t. When I get like that, I can’t I can’t help it. I just want the pain to end” she sighed and looked down, away from the otters.
Krill nudged his husband out of the way and gently held Kaida’s face up and looked into her eyes with a deeply caring expression.
“You’re so much more than what’s been done to you.” The otter’s words sank deep into the owl's heart.
The doctor came back in. “Right, she needs her rest now. You can come visit her again tomorrow”
Rocco kissed Kaida’s forehead and the pair waved her goodbye. She smiled at them and tried to go back to sleep.
The doctor led the pair of otters out of the ward. “Regarding her… situation. Would you two be willing to talk to Dr. Kazhan, the settlement’s psychologist?”
“Oh. Yes, of course we’re happy to chat with him.” Rocco said.
“Great. I’ll get him to send a meeting request to you both for tomorrow morning”
“Sounds good.” Krill nodded at the doctor and promptly left, Rocco followed him.
Krill grabbed his bag he had left near Kaida’s sharehouse. No one in the settlement touched it, there was no reason to steal and it was difficult to hide petty acts like theft when everyone lived so close to one another.
“Honey, can you slow down…” Rocco was huffing and puffing, trying his best to keep up with his husband who was speed walking home.
He sighed “It’s been a difficult few weeks. I just need to get home”.
Rocco looked a bit upset as Krill continued without waiting for him. He knew coming home from a mission to all this was the last thing anyone would want to deal with. But it hurt to see Krill like this after missing him so much for weeks without any communication. Rocco had been anticipating having a good catch up and maybe a romantic dinner, but he knew that wasn’t going to happen tonight.
Rocco arrived home about ten minutes after Krill had. He found his husband passed out on the sofa, a spilled can of beer on the floor, his exhaustion finally had caught up with him. The replicator dinged, a steaming pepperoni hot pocket emerged. Rocco grabbed it and sat beside Krill who murmured at the smell but was too lost in deep sleep to care. Rocco munched on it himself then snuggled up to Krill.
⁂
The next day Krill and Rocco were sat in the office of the settlement's psychologist. Doctor Kazhan. He was a tall, older owl. Wore a thin pair of glasses.
“Thanks for meeting with me today. As you know, Kaida has made you both her next of kin and the settlement leadership has suggested it best I discuss Kaida’s case with you now so we can figure out the best outcome for her”
“We just want to know how we can help Kaida. We don’t want her suffering.”
“Do you have any idea why Kaida might have attempted suicide yesterday?” the psychologist asked the pair of otters.
“Well she was having trouble with the other girls she lives with. Someone called Terri was being awful to her”
“Yes, the incident with the wing in the door. Unfortunate. Terri has dropped any charges by the way, I have been told.”
“And we knew about her self harm. We should have said something about it”
“No no. There is nothing you could have done differently and we’re quite aware of her tendencies. She has been my client for many years now”
“Oh” Rocco said.
“We’ve tried a lot of different therapies, but nothing has quite solved her mental health crisis. Her PsychoScore remains dangerously low”
“PsychoScore?” Krill raised his eyebrow.
“Back in the end times on Raxam we developed a means of mathematically determining someone's mental state. This would be represented with a numerical value called a PsychoScore and it would help us pick up on problems and find solutions before people’s mental health got out of hand”
“Urgh. Please you’re sounding too much like Koen and tin can face” Krill spat.
“Now now. The PsychoScore is extremely accurate. I never agreed with what happened at the facilities. We were supposed to be helping patients but the conditions in the end, well it was clearly about keeping them separate from the general population to avoid others PsychoScores dropping. In the end it just got easier to end their suffering”
“Why am I not surprised there were concentration camps on Raxam? Sorry facilities!” Krill was irritated. But Rocco held his paw.
“What happened to Kaida on Raxam to make her PsychoScore so bad?” Rocco asked.
The doctor stared at Krill in silence for a few moments before opening his beak.
“She was an experimental subject. As many children were. The Raxam Science Council had been taking eggs from the hatchery for a long time. Kaida was subject to some fairly brutal experiments as far as I can tell. She still refuses to talk to me about what they did to her back then, after all this time. I’m not even certain if she remembers, she has likely suppressed a lot of it.”
“So, what’s the plan then?” Krill asked sternly.
The psychologist shrugged. “As I have said. We’ve tried everything. Cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnosis, brainspotting and many more kinds of psychotherapy. She’s stubborn and damaged and deeply unhappy. She doesn’t fit in with anyone here which doesn’t help. Her unwillingness to consider others keeps her isolated and she’ll never not be alone if she can’t learn to adapt to society's expectations. We tried our best, got her in with other women her age, but she chooses to be uncooperative and awkward towards them. We’ve tried giving her medication, extremely strong medication, but she refuses to take it. Long gone are the days we could force it down patients' beaks!” He almost sounded like he was fondly reminiscing, much to Krill’s annoyance.
“She’s not alone though. She has us. I have only known happiness from Kaida.” Rocco said.
“Well. You don’t know her well enough. This isn’t her first suicide attempt. It’s becoming something of a chronic pattern.” Dr. Kazhan said flippantly.
“You know what. I think we’ve got this.” Krill stood up.
“Look, Krill. I wish I could help her further. But she really is a lost cause. It’s only a matter of time before she attempts again and one day we won’t get there in time to save her”.
“I’ll make sure that never happens. Mark my word” Krill left, Rocco shuffled after him.
⁂
A few days passed and the otters spent much of their time visiting Kaida and keeping her company at her bedside. She was doing better, she had managed to at least eat some solid food and walk to the toilet unassisted. She’d done a number on herself, but she was alive. The storm for the moment had passed.
She was playing a simple card game with the otters. Rocco was quite into it. Krill was half taking it seriously, he seemed to be elsewhere.
“Krill it’s your turn!” Rocco said, after noticing Kaida looking a little sad after assuming Krill was uninterested in the game.
He snapped back to reality again and played his hand, a low scoring move.
“Hey. Kaida. Would you like to move in with us?” Krill asked. Rocco looked at him wondering where that sudden suggestion came from. They hadn’t discussed it prior.
“Oh! Oh my gosh. Yes. That would be lovely. Are you sure?? Won’t I be in your two’s way? I can’t impose more than I already do” She was both excited and unsure about the proposal.
“Not at all!. You mean a lot to us Kaida and we want to make sure you feel safe. Everyone deserves to live in an environment they are happy to call home and it seems you’ve never had that chance”
She teared up. “Thank you Krill! This means so much to me. Are you sure you’re sure?”
“Of course!. We’ll go collect your belongings later today”
“If there’s anything left intact… ”
“Hopefully they will discharge you soon.”
“The doctors said tomorrow maybe, if I sleep well tonight”
“Wonderful! We’ll get everything ready for you” Krill smiled.
They finished off their game and made their goodbyes, letting the owl rest once more. In the corridor Rocco stopped Krill for a word.
“Asking her to move in with us? Why didn’t you talk to me about that beforehand?” Rocco said, a bit flustered.
“Would you rather she go back to living with people she doesn’t get on with? Who make her feel like life isn’t worthwhile? Or even live alone?” Krill argued.
“No no. I just, it came as a bit of a shock that is all. I didn’t think you’d suggest that. Like isn’t it a bit weird for you since me and her have this… relationship thing going on?”
“She deserves the opportunity to be happy. Just like you provided for me all those years ago. Besides, I enjoy being around her. She is special to us, right?”
“That she is.” Rocco nodded.
“Plus she’s helping get you as big and soft as possible” he grinned and grabbed a handful of otter belly as he kissed a blushing Rocco passionately.

Feeding Your Husband: Chapter 4
By AutumnGoGoGoat
Kaida was humming to herself whilst baking some treats to bring for Rocco later that evening. She was trying her best to ignore Terri who had come in half way through and was watching the TV extremely loudly. She ignored it and thought of Rocco’s big juicy belly. It was getting larger everyday, she loved it. Such a handful to play with and Rocco adored having his belly rubbed after a long day of stuffing. She became increasingly horny, if only Terri wasn’t there, Kaida was desperate to pleasure herself. She looked over at the other owl for a moment and wondered if she’d notice. She slipped a feathered finger down her skirt and fingered herself slyly whilst baking. She thought of cramming the completed bake into Rocco’s wide open maw. She squeezed her legs together and went deeper. Then suddenly the other owl blurted out an interruption.
“Don’t you get bored cooking all day at work and then coming home and making a tip of our kitchen whilst cooking more?” an irritated Terri uttered whilst spinning her head around from the TV to observe Kaida covered in food in the kitchen.
Kaida blushed and pulled her hand out quickly, hoping she hadn’t been caught.
“No. I love cooking. Besides I am baking right now”
“What do you even do with all this food? You’re a skinny mini and it’s not like you ever share it with us”
“I give it to friends”
“Hold up a minute. YOU have friends? Don’t make me laugh” Terri laughed.
Kaida ignored Terri and continued baking.
“Gosh you’re such a bitch Kaida. I’m only trying to talk to you”
“At no point did you attempt to make conversation. You insulted my work and hobby, made out that I make messes, insulted my appearance, said I had no friends and then called me a bitch. What do you want from me? The only option you give me is to either argue or ignore you.” Kaida was exacerbated.
“You could bother to ask me how my day at the hatchery went!”
“I don’t care how your day went.”
“See, you’re just cold all the time. Maybe take an interest in others for once”
“I do take an interest in others, just not you”
“What have I done to you though?” Terri was offended.
“I legit just gave you a list like three seconds ago. Is your brain really that melted from watching all that trash old TV?”
“Urgh. How can you think you’re so smart? You’re a chef for fucks sake. My work is really important at the hatchery. Making sure the babies are right and such! To bring new perfect life into the settlement. Whereas you just do something the replicators can do in like a second. My work benefits us all and brings us forward to being a proper society again”
“I thought we left the eugenics on Raxam”
“We should have left you on Raxam”
“Ah nice. Lovely. Such a friendly loving person you are Terri. I’m sure the eggs adore you”
“Gosh you’re so sarcastic all the time. Honestly, why don’t you just go live in a tent or something?”
“Actually I would prefer that. I’d no longer have to put up with all your agro”
Kaida put her bake in the oven, washed her feathers then went to go to her room.
“NO! For fucksake. You’ve left batter and filthy crap absolutely everywhere. Come back and clean up” Terri got up and ran towards Kaida.
“Why don’t you get the replicator to replicate you a manslave to do it?” Kaida harped back as she opened her bedroom door.
“Clean up you bitch! I’m sick of you making a mess all the bloody time” Terri managed to get there in time to block the door and prevent Kaida from closing it.
“Get off my door.”
“Not until you clean up!”
“Fuck off! I’ll do it later.” Kaida tried to push past but Terri wouldn’t budge.
“Just do it now, what is wrong with you?”
“I want to go to my room. Leave me alone”
It was a battle between the two owls, Kaida trying to close her door and Terri trying to keep it open and drag Kaida out. Terri had pulled on Kaida’s sleeve but Kaida managed to pull back and get herself mostly in her room, she shoved Terri back and slammed her door shut, but then Terri let out a sudden almighty shriek, her wing had caught in the door. Kaida’s eyes went wide as she saw the wing squashed against her wall. She quickly opened the door, Terri pulled her tattered wing free and ran out of the house, leaving a trail of blood behind her.
Kaida didn’t know what to do. She quickly cleaned the kitchen and removed the part baked goods from the oven. She shoved them in a box and snuck away to the Otter’s house.
⁂
She knocked on the door, a bit more frantically than usual. After a short delay Rocco opened it.
“Oh Kaida! You’re earlier than I was expecting. I was just doing some work…” He noticed she was distressed and her trademark transparent coat was buttoned up lopsided.
“Sorry. Sorry. I did something stupid and I needed to get away from the house quick”
“Come in…” The chubby otter led her into the house and sat her down. “Let me make you a drink whilst you tell me what's up”
“Thank you, Rocco. Well, the other owl girls I live with are always getting on to me about nonsense. Just because I don’t fit in with them. And this one in particular, Terri, she’s really mean. She got really angry with me for making a mess in the kitchen and she was trying to stop me going into my room…” she found it difficult to keep talking.
“It’s alright, take your time” Rocco placed a cup of tea down on the table and sat next to the fretting owl.
“Her wing got caught in the door and I crushed it!! Never heard a noise like it. She was screaming then just ran off.”
“Oh dear… well it was an accident after all. I’m sure the doctors will get it fixed up”
“I know, but I bet she’s gone to tell the security team on me or something. She’ll spin it against me I just know it”
“That’d be petty if she did.”
“I should have followed her or something. But I cleaned up the mess instead before coming here, I wasn’t thinking”
“Now let's not worry about it. You can stay here tonight.”
“Thank you.” She liked the sound of staying over with Rocco. He made her feel safe.
Suddenly there came a loud stern knock on the door. Kaida shrinked and gripped onto a cushion. Rocco squeezed her shoulder then lifted himself off the sofa and went to answer the door.
Standing there was a tall male owl, sort of handsome with long locks of hair revealed after taking his helmet off. He towered over Rocco and tried to be a bit intimidating, but Rocco’s width had an imposing force also, despite his kind expression.
“Good evening Rocco. I need to talk to Kaida in regards to assaulting her roommate just now.”
“Kaida’s been here all evening. She can’t possibly have assaulted anyone just now. I don’t know what to tell you, maybe it was another one of her roommates?”
“Kindly step aside so I can bring her in for questioning”
“No.”
The security officer was taken aback at the steadfast otter. “Excuse me?”
“On my planet you needed a warrant to go into someone's home. I think it’d be wise for you to respect my customs. Plus the old authoritarian ways of Raxam are a bit beneath the settlement don’t you think?”
“She can’t just go around attacking people for telling her to clean up after herself. My job is to protect the people of the settlement from external and internal threats alike”
“She didn’t. Like I said she has been here all evening. Her roommate must be lying.”
“Why would she lie?”
“No idea.” Rocco shrugged.
The security officer stared at Kaida who tried to look as neutral as possible.
“Fine. But if we find anything to suggest otherwise. We’ll bring her in”
“Alright. Goodnight, Joah.” Rocco started to close the door, calling time on the conversation.
“Goodnight.” Joah continued staring for a bit before turning around and heading back to the central hub.
Rocco closed the door fully and bolted it.
“Rocco… thank you. You didn’t have to lie for me” Kaida was a little sheepish.
“I know how these things play out. I’ve got no patience for it. Don’t worry. I’ll protect you. Pretty sure my word stands for more than Terri’s.”
The owl lent on the chonky otter. She was trembling, Rocco wrapped his arm around her and held her close.
They sat quiet for a while, taking in the calm until Rocco’s stomach aggressively rumbled.
“I did make you some croissants but they’re half baked and all soggy”
“Just makes for easier eating!” the hungry otter licked his lips.
Kaida grabbed the box and brought them over.
“You sure? They’re really insipid looking”
“Can’t let any food go to waste!” he chuckled.
As they’d done most nights this week, Kaida fed Rocco. It had become routine for them, but both still derived much enjoyment from every bite.
After his seventh soggy croissant Rocco stopped eating for a moment.
“Hey Kaida… have you eaten today?”
“Oh… no no I haven’t! I totally forgot to”
“You must eat something. I can’t sit here gorging whilst you’re starving”
She waved her wings. “No no! It’s alright. Food’s for other people. I don’t deserve any”
“What? Of course you deserve to eat. Come on. Let me make you something. I think we have some macaroni somewhere, if I haven’t already eaten it!” He got up and looked through the cupboards before grabbing a huge box.
“I know it’s replicated stuff, be nothing as good as your cooking. But this was one of my favourite brands back on my planet. It’s really homely and filling, so cheesy too, just need to add boiling water!” Rocco began preparing the meal.
Kaida looked uncertain. Despite feeding others both as her career and her deepest sexual pleasure, she had an issue with eating herself. She typically had small meals, the odd sandwich, nuts or fruit. Something going back to her childhood, despite loving food, the act of eating and mealtimes for herself was unpleasant. She’d much rather cook for others, feed others and watch other’s appreciate her meals. But this wasn’t good for her, it’s why she was so skinny.
Rocco had put the whole box into a massive bowl, one that they’d often fed him with. There were easily fifthteen kilograms of pasta in there. Kaida looked a bit nervous.
“Don’t worry, I'll eat some too!” He placed it on the coffee table and sat back next to her, grabbing a spoon and digging in, long cheesy strands pulled away from the spoon. He shoved it into his mouth, his chins wobbling. Kaida would have preferred him to finish the lot and she was about to suggest just that before he was looking at her again with those big adorable eyes.
“Do you want me to feed you?” Rocco suggested.
“What!?” she blushed.
“Come on, you feed me all the time. Only fair I return the favour!” he picked up the other spoon with a big serving of the macaroni and edged it towards her beak.
She held back nervously before caving and quickly diving in, gulping down the cheesy treat.
“Wow!!! It’s really good”
Rocco grinned and fed her more spoonfuls. She started to embrace it. Her hunger that she often suppressed hit hard and she noticed how starving she truly was. She happily let him feed her, it was tasty, sexual and also kind of therapeutic and calming. Eventually Rocco and Kaida were shoveling the mass of cheesy goodness into their own mouths. They finished it off. Kaida had done really well, Rocco had the lion's share, but she certainly did not hold back. She leaned back on the sofa, let out a burp and patted her belly which was now round and taunt for the first time ever, peaking out of her shirt. Her swollen belly looked pregnant on her tiny frame. She rubbed and appreciated it. A powerful feeling of lust rushed to her groin.
“Damn. I’ve never eaten so much in my life! I’m stuffed”
“Feels good, right?”
“Ummf~ yes it does!”
Rocco shoved the coffee table to the side and got on his knees in front of Kaida. His flabby belly spilling out either side of him. He kissed the owl’s round belly before moving down to her pussy. He ate her out, his tongue dug deep. She flung her head back whilst rubbing her own gut. It felt so much better than the times she’d stuffed pillows up her top. The feeling of fullness, being beyond capacity. She felt sick, but it felt good too. There were all other elements of her fetish she’d been missing all this time, finally getting to experience it first person and not through someone else. She was tired of being skinny, she fantasised about being as big as the enormous otter in front of her, with him even larger still. She orgasmed, Rocco noticed her body quiver and he pulled his tongue out and joined her again on the sofa. Kaida lay there in a heap, panting. It felt so good. They kissed and rubbed each other's bellies before heading to bed to have sex. They took it slow and gentle after Kaida almost barfed after Rocco’s cock smacked against her overstuffed belly a tad too rough. After Rocco cummed deep in Kaida, they fell asleep embracing each other.
⁂
“Fuck fuck fuck, i’m late again. Kaida jumped out of bed and scrambled to put her clothes on.”
Rocco groggily leant up and squinted at the manic owl who was in her knickers and trying to put her socks on. She was always so cute when she did this. She kissed Rocco on the belly before running out of the house. He chuckled then went back to bed.
She ran across the settlement to the central hub. She was late to work yesterday as well, she felt consequences were approaching. Quickly she swung her locker open and changed into her uniform then went to join the other chefs who were in the middle of prep for breakfast.
“Late again.” one of the male chefs said.
“It’s only a few minutes”
“Half an hour! Come on, we need the beans sorting”
Kaida went to grab a big tin of beans and poured them into a tray and mixed in some cheese and paprika. It was a rush of activity and despite her lateness she jumped right in and got on with the flow.
She finished off prepping the beans and put them in the oven before starting to butter some crumpets. Then the dining manager appeared abruptly behind her.
“Kaida. Can you come to my office for a chat, please?”
“I’m sorry about being late, it won’t happen again I swear. I need to get these crumpets buttered”
“Oh no, that’s not the issue, though you are almost always late and I was intending to bring that up soon enough.” He gestured for one of the other chefs to take over the crumpet buttering before leading Kaida off to his office.
“Take a seat, Kaida”
“I’d rather stand. What’s this about then if it’s not about me being late?” she knew full well what was coming.
“This is about what happened yesterday. We’ve had a complaint, Terri says she’s not comfortable you cooking her food after what you did to her.”
“But I didn’t do anything!”
“Oh don’t kid me around. I’ve seen how angry you get during dinner prep. The other chefs are all scared of you. I’m sorry but we’re going to have to ask you to stop working in the kitchen.”
“What?! Nonsense No! No. The other chefs shouldn’t be in the kitchen if they can’t handle it. I can’t lose this job. Please don’t fire me. I’m not angry at all.“
“Sorry, but you’ve left us no choice.”
“Oh fuck you. I’m the best chef on staff. She flung her wing and accidently knocked the digital photoframe off of the managers desk, shattering it on the floor”
“Thanks for smashing up the photos of my family i’ll never see again after Raxam blew up” the manager shook his head.
“It was an accident! Dammit.”
“Just leave already.” he shook his head.
Kaida was completely deversated. She loved her job as a chef. She cried whilst emptying her locker out. None of the other chefs had time to come to say goodbye, not that they even wanted to. She looked around the staff area and sadly left the building. Her first thought was going to see Rocco, he’d keep her calm and understand. She went back to the otters house but there was no answer, Rocco must have gone out for a walk or otherwise was preoccupied. Kaida wasn’t sure where else to go. She considered wondering around in the woods for hours but she just wanted to lay down. She begrudgingly went home, worried the other girls would be there waiting to pounce on her. But whilst walking past the hatchery she saw a glimpse of Terri through the window. Kaida hid behind a bush and got a better look. Her wing was in a sling, it seemed broken. She looked a bit worse for wear but mostly alright. Kaida at least could go home and have some peace for a few hours to try and calm down. It felt like everyone Kaida walked past were staring at her, judging her. Like they knew. She grumbled in her head about them all, telling them to mind their own business. She was getting paranoid. Doubts and negative thoughts flooded her mind, was she too angry? She told herself she deserved to be alone and deserved to feel disgusting. She was unlikeable, cold and mean. She had let herself get happy spending time with the otters and she wasn’t allowed to be happy, happiness wasn’t for her. Like every time before she’d now have to pay the price, happiness always came at a significant cost. She didn’t deserve to be happy; this was why everything was going wrong.
She tried her best to rationalise her thoughts and calm herself down. She told herself that Terri was the problem, that she didn’t need the job, it’s not like they even got paid. She could still cook as long as Terri wasn’t in the house. Finally she got home and she rushed straight to her room, the door was ajar. Entering slowly she froze at the sight and dropped the box with the contents of her locker in. All of her belongings were in pieces thrown about her room. Clothes teared up, mirror smashed, ornaments shattered. The word “bitch” was written in makeup on her wall. The other girls clearly got some revenge last night on behalf of Terri. She locked her door and slumped down onto her bed and wept. It felt crushing, a stark reminder of how she’ll never fit in, never be welcome anywhere. She couldn’t even think of the love Rocco had for her, she felt too guilty for distracting him from his work yesterday by turning up early and burdening him with her problems. She was spiralling down into despair. Her chest hurt, she could barely breathe as panic enveloped her.
