"It would be about my oc hyena Yvette Novak, Attacked in her wayside hotel room by the group of assassins. By some explosive traps and her shooting skills she was able to fend off them with some wounds. Then she would had a knife fight with leader of that group which after hard struggle she won."

-Marcioo9

The hotel room was quiet, the moon full, and the night, calm. Yvette's canine ears listened carefully as she cleaned an AK, the hyena very precise with her work. As a merc, she depended on caring for her gear as much as possible. She'd also set up several traps, as she fully expected a hostile force to attack at any moment.

A sudden crash rang out through the room as the windows shattered, causing her to go prone and out of the way of whatever hit the window. The door was being whacked hard and loudly, sounding as if someone was trying to bash it down with a rifle stock. She grabbed a detonator as she waited for the door to break- However, the door did not fly off its hinges, but merely broke into chunks, almost as if this was The Shining.

She saw whoever it was kick the door, and hit the detonator. A loud, deep blast came from the toilet, as the bathroom door was left open, causing a rush of water and sharp, heavy pieces of toilet flying towards her assailants. The assassins yelled out in pain as she reassembled her weapon, drawing the curtains and grabbing some of her gear. It was apparent to her that she needed to leave the area, as they'd be coming for her.

However, she had one more loose end to tie up. She grabbed a piece of the toilet jammed into the body of one of her foes and moved it around, drawing a yell of pain from the assassin. "Who are you working for?" "Go to Hell!" That drew a twisting motion from her, causing even more pain- Not just prying, but actually tearing some of the meat. "Nghhaaahh!" "I can keep this up as long as you want, you know."

The assailant panted, and handed a note to her. Of course, she finished him- He was still armed and taking her attention off of the wounded assassin would invite a bullet.

"Your target is in the Good Springs wayside hotel, by the name of Yvette Novak. Kill her. Any money you require for arms or bail will be covered- Meet me in Caesar's Palace when you're done." She took the note and hid the bodies, dressing one in her spare clothes, and putting him in the bed. Alongside that, she set up a trap, which would, after she left, explode if it were ever moved, with the force of about thirty kilograms of C-4- Which could send sand flying for several hundred meters around the hotel. She then left the room, and made ready to attack the sniper that had broken the window.

*****

The marksman had seen his target and missed entirely. Immediately he heard an explosion and a lot of water, but the target had covered the window with her blinds, and she'd probably left. He didn't see anything interesting, but saw one of his allies heading into the hotel to try and see what was going on. Immediately after, a laser pointed through his scope- The last thing he ever saw was that laser, as his would-be kill had snuck up on him and gunned him down.

*****

"Serves you right, you bastard..." She grabbed the rifle- It was a 14.5mm PTRS antimaterial rifle, designed for interwar tanks such as the Panzer 1 and Panzer 2, not for mercenary hyenas- The rifle weighed fourty-six pounds and was almost seven feet in length- And even the assassin who had almost exclusively 14.5mm shells for it only carried about twenty-five shells, and even that was most of his gear. She grabbed that, and immediately decided to draw her enemies in, so she could take them down.

She fired again into the room she had trapped with C-4, and then made a rough, male-sounding voice. "The enemy is still where she last was, likely setting up defences. Get in there and finish the job." "We're on our way." The radio went silent as the curtains finally fell off after they'd taken the force of such a massive projectile. She watched as two of them went inside and checked the room. "I don't see anyt-" The radio immediately emitted static as an immense blast sent pieces of the hotel flying hundreds of yards into the air, sending drywall, glass, brick, natural gas, carpeting, and anything else that was there, in every direction, rather like putting a fragmentation sleeve on an offensive hand grenade. A cloud of dust was kicked up that made it impossible to see through, as some of the flammable materials also caught fire due to the heat, and caused a sudden fireball, or a thermobaric explosion, which sucked air towards itself, causing an all-consuming firestorm.

"Maybe I was too heavy-handed..." "Maybe you were."

She whirled around to find herself face-to-face with five opponents, as she levelled the rifle and actually staggered one with the barrel. They fired back, mostly missing, injuring her tail and one fragmenting, nicking her jaw. She swung the rifle around, striking one and knocking him into several others, and fired a shot into them, only to have a bag put over her head and have her weapon taken.

"So she caused the explosion down the highway that caused the gas station explosions, and the damage to the power plant?" "Yes, we're sure of it. She had set up thirty kilograms of C4, and that caused that chain reaction." "Bring her here. I want to talk to her." The mooks nodded and headed back.

Yvette rested in her chair, nose bleeding, ear mangled, tail bent, and with a couple cattle-prod burns from interrogation. She lifted her head as the two mooks went to go grab her. As soon as her cuffs were off, she grabbed one of their weapons and shot both of them, grabbing their key cards on her way.

Now that she had the data from the guards, she knew now that she was in the basement of Caesar's Palace, which was located around the Las Vegas Strip. However, she had a weapon now, ammunition, and she now knew where all of the maintenance passageways were and how to get to the penthouse from here. She unlocked the door and headed into the hallway from where she was.

She looked around the corner and saw a guard walking away from her, and raised the AK-47 to her shoulder, shooting him in the back and makaing him collapse. However, the report echoed deafeningly off the walls, causing a number of radio communications to declare something was wrong. So she set up two traps, one near each end of the hallway, and went into the room she had been locked in.

About five minutes later, the grenades went off, sending shrapnel, concrete dust, and chunks of rubble everywhere, causing a number of casualties. She looked around the corners, and saw one or two getting up, asking for backup. She responded by firing again and killing them, but the damage was done- A full security alert was underway.

She grabbed all the ammunition she could carry, and ran down the hallway, making sure that, every time she went to a corner, she laid a trap behind her, and waited for them to come and attack.

Again, the grenade exploded around the corner, and she had to fire full-auto at hostiles that were advancing down the hall. She was outnumbered, sure, but her victims also couldn't make full use of their firepower, as the narrow corridors were only wide enough for one person. Her weapon was also easily able to penetrate through one target and into another- And wound them worse, due to the mushrooming of the bullets. Onward she continued, up stairs and along hallways.

*****

"Have you contained the fucking prisoner yet?" "No, we haven't... She's got her six covered in traps, and she's already gunned down half our security force." "Well, what's the worst she can-"

CRASH. The door came down.

Yvette had finally made it to the penthouse, where the owner of Caesar's Palace was. She immediately took cover and started shooting at the remainder of the security forces, and then aimed at the man who'd tried to have her killed.

Click. Her magazine was empty. So she drew her knife, and snarled. "Caesar", as she thought of him, drew his own. While she had a rather intimidating Bowie knife, he was equipped with a switchblade. She looked at Caesar with bottled anger, as they got closer. He flicked out the blade, and then he swung with surprising speed. she stopped it deftly, by entangling it with the serrated portion of her knife, which she pushed off-line and attempted to counter by a kick. She landed it, but received a cut to the thigh- Luckily, not severing any arteries, but it still bled, and she struggled to cut back at her opponent, and she half-severed his thumb, which he recovered from by switching the hand he held his weapon from. She swung again, being blocked by the switchblade. she sidestepped an attack and cut deeply into the webbing of his hand, getting elbowed in the face. The force knocked her into a dresser, and she tripped, landing on her back.

Caesar then rushed at her, trying a hard stab, straddling her and trying to overcome her strength and stab her through her guard. She had both arms put towards pushing against his switchblade, at least, until she tilted the knife so that it cut her opponent's face- Which made him ease off, and allowed her to jam it harder into his eye socket, allowing her to finish him off.

She panted from the effort, and went to Caesar's desk, to find some of his expensive drinks, and have one for herself. Since she was paid for kills, though, she would be paid very, VERY handsomely indeed.
