I stood in front of a large screen inside the control room, looking at the video feeds of all six main leaders of the UAA sub bases all over allied countries, even a few of the leaders were former pets. "It's come to light that the rouge member, Devon has declared war upon all UAA bases and what we stand for."

"No doubt he is a human." Spoke a tiger who ran the UAA base in China.

"No. He's a former pet of my base." I replied.

"This is not possible!" spoke a heavy set man who took care of the base in Russia.

"It is. And it has happened, the South Africa base has been destroyed and the members killed."

"Then what do you propose we do about this rouge member.?" asked a beautiful snow white vixen that took over the German area that supported the Freedom act.

"I hate to say it...but we have to take him out." I sighed softly. I hated the fact we was now hunting one that we have strived to help. This was going to most certainly put a black mark upon the UAA and all we stood for.

"All for the notion to hunt down and remove the rouge UAA member..." spoke the Vixen.

"Yes." replied five of the members. I gave a slight nod, watching and waiting.

"Commander Wolf...we agree that this rouge member is to be hunted down and removed from the program by any means necessary." spoke the Vixen.

"I understand." I replied softly before biding them all goodbye and shutting off the com-screen. Slowly I turned around to look at the rest of my group before giving a slight shrug. "You all heard the outcome. Lets get to work. Ginger...I want you to monitor all data coming in and out of the states and South Africa. Its most likely that he removed the ID chip already...but maybe we might get lucky and he forgot."

"Yes sir." she replied.

"Blaze...Reno...gather up as many teams we can spare...brief them on the outcome and the target."

"Sir, Yes Sir!" replied the brothers in unison.

"Gina...though you run the religious area of the group...you also have some knowledge in medical...that's where you will be during this mission."

Gina slowly gave a nod, her tail twitching. "Okay, but what about you?"

"Don't worry about me, just worry about getting this bastard before he strikes again." I replied softly before giving a nod. "Okay everyone, Dismissed."

Everyone filed out of the room slowly as I watched them all, Devon had picked the wrong person to mess with, but this wasn't personal...not yet...this was a war. I shook my head slightly and walked out of the room and down the halls, making my way to the stairwell and heading to the roof. Once there I looked out over the city, the way everything was going...it was hard to image all the hate and violence that ran through the veins of the world. So much heartache and tragedy. Soon I heard the door behind me open.

"My son, how are you feeling?" Bill spoke softly as he walked up to me.

I shook my head slightly. "Other than a bit of Jet Lag and fear...I'm quite fucking Peachey." I then looked back to him slowly. "How about you, father?"

"I'm just worried." he replied.

"Worried? About what?" I blinked, never in my life have I seen my father worried about anything, more less I have thought him to be the most toughest person I have seen. "Come on dad...nothing scares you."

"You would be surprised."

"Try me." I smirked.

"The thought of losing the only two members of my family scares the hell out of me." he slowly placed his paw upon my shoulder. "I fear what all this war will do to you..."

Slowly I closed my eyes...this was a whole new thing for me. I've never heard him talk like this before. "Dad..."

"Let me finish son. There is something I want to tell you." he then moved in front of me slowly, looking down at me slightly. "You're a fine man, better than I have ever been. You took care of your mother and your sister when I wasn't there...you stuck with us through all the pain and heartache, and now that I have finally started to be the way a father should...you've already grown up. I just want to say...I love you son, and I'm sorry I was never there for you or the family."

Slowly I placed my hand upon his shoulder with a soft smile. I had mixed emotions here...I wanted to cry, scream for joy, laugh, faint, and just go nuts, all at once...but one had won the battle as a lone tear ran down my cheek. "Dad...You've always been there for us...and I could never blame you for what happened back then. You'll always be my father and I'll always be your son. Blood has nothing to do with it...I love you dad." I choked out the last four words as I hugged him. I've had a lot of emotions before but this was something totally new...I felt more calmer than I ever had been, I guess it has something to do with getting out the last few heartfelt things. After all...time is short and we don't know when we will die...

Bill just stood there silently, his arms around me as he rested his muzzle softly upon my head. We stood there for some time before I stepped back, looking up to him with a soft smile.

"I may be grown up now...but I still need ya." I patted his shoulder before walking to the edge of the roof, looking out at the city, the hustle and bustle. "He's out there somewhere...waiting...watching." I glanced to the side as Bill stepped up beside me.

"We'll get him son...don't you worry." he replied.

"I'm not worried about getting him...its what I'm going to do with him when we do." I looked back to the city.

"The balance between the freedom and justice for the animals.? You're scared about what the outcome would be if you hunted down one that you worked hard to free and give rights to." he looked to me as I gave a soft nod. He then shook his head. "I may not be a fighter, or skilled like you my son, but what I do know...is he thinks he's untouchable due to the way you have worked the system...he's counting on you to be afraid of what would happen if you hunted him down and killed him. Its his safety net, and it will fail him."

"You do have a point. All this time I was worried what would happen to the UAA if I did go through with it." I gave a nod before laughing softly. "It's hard to notice a traitor when they are your own." I looked to Bill.

"Old words..." Bill smiled as he patted my back. "You are learning my son, you was thrust into this with out any training, and you are learning quickly. You've made me proud."

"Thanks. So how bout we go out on the town for a little? I'll buy you a beer." I replied.

"No beer...a soda I could go for."

"Stopped drinking I see." I blinked while looking at him.

"Yes. You made me stop that night you made me notice what I was doing wrong with the family."

I slowly gave a nod, I remembered it all too well. Slowly I turned and walked to the stairwell door. "Come on, lets go."

Blaze and Reno stood in the armory, going through the weapons idly, checking everything to make sure it was all in working order. Slowly Blaze looked to his brother. "How do you think Wolf will handle this? He is skilled, but even those have there limits."

Reno shook his head slightly. "I don't know...but he has pulled us all out of danger many times, I have faith in him. Remember when he took us in.?"

"How could I not? The Major died and gave us freedom...but still with out the law's say on it...we was nothing more than pets. That was until we got a second chance with this group. I owe him my life." Blaze spoke while putting a M4 together before setting it softly upon the rack with the others.

Reno gave a soft laugh. "We both owe him a lot, brother." he loaded a few clips for some other weapons before he moved to pick up a M79 Grenade Launcher. "Think he will do it?"

"Do what?" Blaze replied.

"Kill Devon."

Blaze snickered before giving a soft nod. "Devon, poses a threat to the UAA and what it stands for... I think he is prepared to face what would happen in the long run about this." he turned to look to Reno with a grin. "And we will be there beside him."

"Yeah." Reno gave a soft nod as he checked over the weapon with care.

Gina stood silently beside a large table lined with vials and other medial supplies, looking at her reflection in one of the glass bottles. "I have a bad feeling...a very bad feeling about this." slowly she looked up to the ceiling "God help us." she then went back to work on preparing everything needed.

Ginger slid to a stop inside the doorway of the medical room. "Anyone seen Wolf?"

Gina slowly shook her head. "No, why?"

"Devon is in the states. I don't know when or how but he's here in Miami and from a major branch of funds and movement...he brought his own army with him." Ginger replied.

"But I thought we destroyed his army."

"Apparently not. He's got as many as we do in this base, that's as far as I can guess...he's hacked into the city cameras so I can't see just how big they are grouped but they couldn't block the satellite. There all located at the Construction Site for the new office building downtown..." Ginger spoke softly, while rubbing her hoofs together.

"I'll go find Wolf." Gina replied as she darted out of the room and down the halls.

I was standing beside Bill, at the front doors, just about to walk through when I heard Gina call for me. I then turned around looking at her. "What's wrong hun?"

"Devon is in town...he's got his own army, waiting."

"Okay, gather everyone in the office...send out a red alert through out the base and get everyone ready. As of now...we're going to war." I replied quickly, watching Gina run off down the hall. Slowly I looked to Bill with a half grin. "Looks like we'll have to put the drinks on hold eh?"

"Yeah it looks that way. Well lets go and get this done with." Bill quipped before we both walked off to the main office. Once everyone was there I gave a slight nod, watching them all sit down.

"Okay...Devon is here and he's brought friends. Its our job to go out there and tell them there not wanted here in town, and that its not nice to trespass on a wolf's territory." I grinned slightly. "Shoot to kill, but Devon is mine." I watched everyone give a nod, before I spoke once more. "Armor up people, we leave in five." and with that everyone left the room quickly. I moved to the armory and put on the armor I have grown accustomed to, before I picked up a MIL 15 shotgun that was loaded with a eight round clip of Fragmentation rounds that made the M79 that fired 40mm Frag Grenades look like a fire cracker. I then slipped the shotgun on my back and picked up a sub-machine gun that was roughly the same size as a MP5 and was loaded with twenty 7.65mm rounds which I called Spyder. I picked up some spare clips and a few M97 Grenades, then soon I picked up a Colt .45 ACP before I walked out of the armory and to the underground hanger where I saw my own army. "Lets move out." I called out to them as I got into a armored hummer that led the way out of the hanger, up the ramp to the streets. I sat silently in my seat, watching the buildings roll by before I glanced to the side, something was odd...another feeling I couldn't shake.

I then picked up the radio "Keep sharp everyone."

The driver looked over to me slowly, a young male Australian Blue Heeler. "You expecting trouble, Sir?"

Slowly I gave a nod. "Yes, Devon pulled this once before." I then looked to the sky slowly, a glint of light caught my eye before I got on the radio once more. "Tom...you still got that silenced PSG-1?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. There's something on the west corner roof of the building six-hundred yards away. Check it out...if it's a sniper...take him out." I replied.

"Roger."

A little while later I heard the same voice come over the radio once more. "Sniper eliminated."

"Good work. Keep an eye out for anything else out of place..." I replied while looking around once more. Soon we was two blocks from the Construction Site as the hummer stopped slowly. I got out with a grin, putting the MIL 15 on my back before turning to the group behind me. "Okay team...I want you all to break up into eight units...twenty-five members each. Spread out, but don't go thin...make a hard target. Lock and load people. No doubt he's waiting for us...so lets not disappoint him." I watched everyone file out into there team before I moved to the entrance, everyone taking there own way in, once we was all inside the yard I had ducked down behind some large wooden spools of wire before I slowly looked out at the front of the building. "Two light trucks...this should be fun." I moved back behind the cover and pulled the shotgun off my back, loading a round in the chamber. "When I nail the trucks...that's when we rush the place..."

Blaze gave a slight nod. "Okay."

I then moved to aim over the wooden spool, and fired one round, watching as the front of one truck explode and send it backwards into the second one before the second truck went off in a large fireball. "MOVE!" I yelled out as I slipped the shotgun back behind me and pulled out the Spyder Sub-machine gun and opened fire on the small group of solders that stood in front of the buildings large double doors. The sound of full automatic fire ringed through the air. We had all split up and I stopped when a small group of soldiers rushed through one of the side doors, I pulled a M97 from my vest, pulling the pin before I tossed it like a bowling ball toward the group, then I dove over a low counter before it went off in a crack of thunder and screams. "Strike." I smirked before moving from behind my cover before I heard laughter above me. When I looked up I saw Devon, alive and well.

"You attacked the UAA base in South Africa! You killed my friends, my family, your own people!" I yelled at him.

"No...You killed them. You thought I was dead, so you let your guard down and led them to there slaughter." Devon replied slowly.

"I'm going to rip your fucking balls off you son of a bitch!" I growled.

"Then do come and try, Wolf, Commander of the Proud, Free, Ass kissing UAA!" he snickered before aiming down upon me with a M60 before he fired. I had noticed just in time to make a run for one of the pillars that held the roof, sliding behind it just as the heavy bullets ripped into the marble, and concrete. Once the echo of the gunshots resided, I heard Devon laugh again.

"Come come...I'll give you a tour of the place...right down to the Pit I have that will be your grave!"

"I'll kill you, Devon!" I called out before I ran up the stairs beside me, keeping my eyes on the Dingo that stood upon the second floor. When I had gotten there, Devon had already ran through a set of double doors at then end, so I followed him, slowly I pushed the door open with my gun aimed before I stepped inside, sweeping the area before I heard my radio chime in.

"Commander...we have almost secured the Construction Site..." Spoke Blaze.

"Good...I've spotted Devon and now I'm going after him." I replied.

"Good luck."

"Right." I smirked as I found the only door beside the elevators, slowly moving through the door I noticed it was a stairwell. Soon I heard a door close up on the next floor, so I sprinted up the stairs until I got to the corner and eased around it with the Spyder aimed, only seeing another door that led out into the third floor that was being built. I saw Devon standing at the far end with a grin before he moved off to the side. This was a game to him, and here I was playing along, but what little did he know that I had a few tricks of my own. I moved slowly from the stairwell and out into the room, keeping my gun aimed as I walked slowly to where Devon had moved to, only to find a open area in what I could only figure was for a set of large windows, the outside was lined with Scaffolding that allowed the workers to work on the outside of the building safely.

Stepping out onto the metal catwalks I saw Devon standing near the edge. "End of the line Devon...give up.!"

"Don't think I will. There is so much to do, and so little time...yes...so much to do...your little sister and that bitch of a mate you have." he sneered slightly before he took aim and opened fire. I had just managed to duck back around the corner when he did or else I would have been eating led for dinner...once more when the shots ended, I peaked around the corner to see Devon climbing down the long ladder down to the ground below. I growled slightly and grabbed the ladder and started my own decent before I adjusted myself and slid down the last floor, and upon hitting the ground, I had my gun aimed and ready, aimed right at Devon's back.

"Damn..." I snorted when he disappeared around the far corner of the building. Sighing slightly I gave chase, and when I rounded the corner I came face first with the barrel of a small .38 handgun.

"So nice of you to drop by and say hi." Devon quipped as he started to make me walk backwards until he stopped, the grin never leaving his muzzle. "Look back behind you. I wont shoot...least not until you know what your grave looks like."

I blinked, glancing slightly down and back, noticing a large square pit that had to be about near five hundred, to six hundred feet deep. I then looked back to Devon. "So this is how It is huh? You get off scoot free and plan to remove all the UAA bases around the world.? How do you think you are free to chose such actions.? If it wasn't for the UAA and me...you'd be someone's little fuck toy."

"Ah, the Comical side of a man about to die. Tell me, Wolf...Are you ready to die?" Devon smirked as he stepped slightly closer.

"Sure, Question is...Are you too?" I replied.

Devon blinked slightly, tilting his head. That was the first and last mistake he made as I grabbed his arm, pulling him close as I used one of my feet to kick one of his own from under him, causing us both to fall over the edge. I slammed a hard punch into Devon's face, using the rolling force to pin him under me, before the .38 went off and a sharp pain filled my chest as the ground came quick then it all went black...the only thought I had was of Gina and my family.

"Oh god...They went over the edge!!" Blaze yelled as he rushed to the edge of the pit with the rest of the units, looking down into the pit, at the two bodies at the bottom.

"God..." Blaze muttered.

Gina stepped up to the edge before her eyes filled with tears before she screamed. "WOLF!!!" she was about to go frantic until Blaze had taken her in his arms, holding her close as she buried her face in his arm, sobbing.

Reno looked down into the pit, before looking back. "Get the ropes and hummers in here...lets get them out."

Soon a group of soldiers moved down into the pit, using ropes and cables hooked to the fronts of hummers before they soon had both Devon, and my body upon stretchers and out of the pit.

"HEY!! He's alive!" Yelled one of the medical staff. "The Commander is alive!"

"Get him to the hospital, NOW!" Yelled Blaze, and soon everyone in the medical staff worked to take my body to the hospital where the local staff took over.

"Broken Arm, Leg...four ribs, Gunshot wound to the chest....God...Pupils are Blown..." one of the doctors spoke as he jogged beside the stretcher, the heart monitor beeping slowly before it started to pick up slightly. "He's going into Cardiac Arrest. This guys a train wreck."

"Doctor...We're losing him!" spoke one of the nurses.

Soon they had disappeared through a set of swinging double doors, and left Blaze holding Gina silently on the other side, as they stood there helpless. Six months had passed since then and I had got through endless amounts of pain to cope with what happened to me...I had to have a "Transplant" so I'm told, but hey, I like my new eyes...they go with my name. Slowly I walked through the base doors where I was greeted by everyone with cheers and applause. I smiled softly as Gina ran up to hug me close, her whimpers of happiness was music to my ears as I kissed her softly on the head.

"I'm back guys...Miss me?"

"My son, it is good to have you back." Bill spoke as he walked up with the Alfred brothers. "How do you feel?"

"Ah well with the slight numb of antithetic...Just fucking Peachey." I snickered, causing everyone else to laugh softly.

"Nice eyes, Commander" quipped Blaze.

I smirked slightly, knowing he was talking about the Amber eyes the hospital replaced my blue eyes with. "Yeah, thanks...guess I'm more Wolfish now eh?" I replied.

"Wolf...Guess what." Ginger spoke up with a smile.

"Hm, What?"

"The world has adopted the laws we have made, Animals and humans are united the way we wished for...no more hate...its law for both Private, Public and Government...You did it, Wolf." she smiled softly.

"Nah, WE did it...all of us, and all the ones who died for this...We won the war." I replied with a smile.

"Now we can start a family.?" Gina asked softly while looking up at me.

Slowly I gave a nod. "Yeah." I then looked at all of my team with a smile, it was a new day for us and god was I happy...no doubt we would be called upon some other time, but right now, we had time to relax and finally mourn the loss of our friends and family...I had a lot to do....we all did. All in Due time I guess...

As I heard a old friend say once... "There is always hope if there is but One Fool left to fight for it."

(The End)
