My first day at work.
Jennie and Lana
Jennie was in bed, sound asleep in an ice cold room. She had a space heater on, and a heated blanket under the sheets and it was still cold as ice. She hated the winter time. Her alarm went off, six am. Bright and early. She hit the ignore button and sat up, yawning and sticking her tongue out. It was way to early to get up. She wondered her way to the closet and got ready for the day. 6:30 came around, she was all ready and didn't have to be at her first day of training for another half hour. She flopped back onto her bed, thinking she could get a few more minutes of rest. She mentally kicked herself and got back up, making it slowly to her car she had a cup of coffle in one hand, her keys in the other.
The drive seemed to have taken forever, it was still dark outside and she could see her breath, it was to damn cold. "Leopards are not meant to see snow." she growled to herself as she was driving. "This sucks."
Finally pulling into the parking lot she sat in one of the couch type thing in the middle of the room with 17 other strangers waiting quietly for this trainer and a mind numbing month ahead. Jennie wanted to lie down and close her eyes, but that seemed like a bad idea. So she found herself counting the titles on the floor. Talk about being board. After what felt like 20 minutes you heard a cheery voice scream. "Hey wake up everybody!!! My name is Lana and I'm going to be your trainer!!" Jennie snapped out of her trance and looked up at LANA!! Jennie then smiled, there was a very cute little bunny standing and smiling at the group. She must have been 5'3 or so, very short. She was a bit thinner then Jennie but no tooth pick, a pretty good shape for a rabbit. Jennie looked down at her watch, "7:30". The bunny was late, but man was she cute. If she got to look at that everyday for a month, this job was going to be much easier.
She finished her coffle and threw the cup in the trash. And walked up the stars with Lana, so did every male on the team but she wasn't to worried about them. They got to there class room and Jennie head for the seat in the left corner. Great shot of her bunny and any other furry in the class. Lana passed out there work books, thick as a bible, smaller print and larger book. Jennie rolled her eyes and wrote her name on her booklet. "Okay everyone please turn to page 5." Lana announced to the room. An hour later they had finished the first chapter in the book.
Lana looked across the room and smiled. "Okay everyone we are going to learn a bit about each other. So we are going to go around the room and you will answer the questions on the board about your self. I'll start. My name is Lana, I am 26 and am married to a wonderful man who works here as a floor manager, two months from next week we will have been married for three years." DAMN!!!! Not only is she straight, she's married! Jennie sighed, that kind of sucked, but really, where you that lucky? Its work, you don't date people from work!
After everyone had said something "interesting" about them self's. They moved on, another chapter, and another. Noon rolled around and it was lunch time. Jennie sat with the whole class, that's the way it always worked too. You would eat lunch and hang out with your class mates at work. I guess there was some comfort in hanging with the people that are in the same situation as you. She looked past the badly done sea of people and saw Lana standing in line waiting for her food. Her small bunny tail flicking on occasion. Jennie tried hard not to make it obvious that she was checking out the rabbit. She ate her food, that was way to much money, even though it tasted pretty good.
1:00, time to go back to class. The day went by slowly. She spent much of it paying attention to the actual work but would still look up sometimes to get a glance of that bunny. She was looking forward to the next month and decided that getting up a bit earlier to look a lot nicer sounded like a good idea. It was a shot in the dark but you never know, a lesbian to be? We will have to see. Once the day was over, Jennie grabbed her best toy and hopped into the shower. She needed to think.
After the shower she slipped out and put on some soft pjs. Looking over at the clock she saw it was only 5:00pm. "5 o clock and I'm already in my pjs, what a loser am I." she said to herself. She sat on the couch in the living room where she saw Lorie, her best friend playing a video game. She sat next to her and joined the game.
"Halo huh? That's odd, I never play this game." Her friend smiled and hit the start button to start up a new game. "Well, now your going too. How was work?" Jennie's eyes went a bit wide and she then relaxed, saying nothing. "Come on, I know your trainer cute, why else would you have taken a shower so early?" Jennie giggled "Well, let me tell you about my day."
***
Jennie sat I'm her chair staring up at Lana as she gave a lecture. Something about what to do when all of the 30+ programs they have to use go down. And the fact that hell must have frozen over if this happens. The call center had some of the best programs and equipment in the world. Which meant they knew what they where doing. She was jotting down notes as fast as Lana was saying the words.
Lana was a very note friendly teacher. She had an over head up with what the class needed to memorize on there. Made it a simple layout so even the dumbest of the dumb could understand the job. And if you had missed something, it was all posted on a web site she had set up. On top of being beautiful Lana was a computer genius. Every class member had a user id and password they had to have to get into the web site, so that no one would get into it that should be able too. Best yet, she parted hard core. Loved to drink, dance and spend time with friends. It all sounded very good to Jennie.
"Okay kids time to go shadow some calls. Lets go!" The class slowly piled out of the class and found agents to shadow with on the call floor. Jennie got stuck with some bear. He must have been 6'5". All muscle and a deep voice. And very much so had a call center voice. While on the phone he was all happy and sweet, just talking he sounded a bit more depressed. Seemed like a nice enough furr, his name was Chris. It was a slow day on the call floor so there was a lot of time between calls. Lana walked by and sat next to a bunch of the TL's. All of them the "beautiful people" Jennie was getting the impression that this was a selfish call center. But she didn't worry much, it was just work.
Through out the day Lana kept walking by Jennie and not saying a word. Jennie was also getting the idea that Lana didn't like her. She saw Lana go out of her way many times to chat with the other agents. Jennie pouted and sat in her chair. This whole cute boss thing wasn't working out so well. She felt like it was just going to be a depressing month instead of what she wanted. She shrugged it off, it was work, you cant BE with people from work, more so your boss. She's cute, cool but get over it. She told herself. And thought nothing of it for the rest off the day.
Jennie was walking toward the stairs when Lana stepped in front of her. The rabbit smiled and pointed her hand toward the training room. "Will you come with me for a second?"
Jennie smiled nervously and walked into the training room. Oh god!!! She knows, you are SO fired. Good work dumb ass!! Not even two weeks on the job and your going to get canned because you thought your trainer was cute. She must think I'm so creepy, I can't
-"Jennie?"
Jennie snapped out of her trance
"Um..yes?"
"Sit down, we need to talk."
FUCK!!- "Yeah sure, what's up?"
Jennie sat down her head spinning and leg twitching a bit.
"Listen, I don't want you to think I've been ignoring you or anything, from what I can tell you are understanding the work better then everyone else. Your quiz scores are all at 100%, your doing amazing. There are some people who are not quite getting it, heck there are some people who are REALLY not getting it. You have been a good trainee, I mean you never take your eyes off of me, you never talk in class, your my best agent!"
Jennie smiled at what she was being told. -If only you knew- Jennie was having a hard time paying attention to Lana, she smelt great. Her natural scent was driving her crazy, and it was easy to tell she was in heat, talk about hard to listen.
"-So is everything okay? Do you understand what I am saying?"
"Huh? Um yeah, I got it. Sounds good."
"GREAT!! So you'll help out Pat then? It's just not clicking with him."
PAT? What? Crap, pay ATTENTION!!
"Yeah I'll help him, do with me what you will, I'll do whatever you want."
And I mean whatever.
Jennie stud up and head out the door and to her car. She was half asleep, and on top of that confused as all hell. She wasn't even trying that hard at work. Life just too damn odd for her own good.
Once she was at home she sat in her living room watching TV trying to figure out if this job was still a good idea. It paid great, very flexible hours and you may work a weekend out of the year. Plus they had a dental plan! Important for a cat.
"So why let some bunny get in your way? She is nothing but your boss get over your self."
She closed her eyes and let her head rest agent the couch. She felt kind of dizzy. What was she going to do?
"Tough it out. Once training is done you won't have to deal with her anymore. This isn't an issue so much as just you being dumb."
Jennie smiled to herself and got up headed to her bedroom.
"That doesn't mean I can't Imagine stuff the way I want it."
