Chapter 99 - Winter Waltzing

After taking a moment to rest, Chris had calmly shut his eyes, thinking of taking a quick catnap only to shoot up in surprise when Alicia suddenly let out a scream, his eyes wide and clutching his chest from the abrupt startle as the snake rapidly slithered about, talking to herself in a panicked "what did I do?!!" type of state, repeatedly pausing and hissing from the stinging pain due to her first time shared with Chris, something she, seemingly, wasn't as prepared for as she'd thought, her pride now causing her a moment of regret over giving her purity to a human despite that human being Chris himself. "A-Ah, y-you okay?" he asked, standing and holding a nearby towel in front of his crotch as Alicia continued talking to herself and roaming back and forth. "I-I uh, wasn't too rough or anything, right? I did my best to make it as good as possible for you..." he point out, smiling nervously causing the snake to pause and look at him, a flush on her face before quickly shaking her head and snapping at him in a "responsibility!! responsibility!!" manner causing Chris to blink out of both, surprise and bewilderment. "S-So it was bad? I thought using my mouth made you look pretty happy at least." he replied while sulking and looking down, Alicia jolting and flushing all the more before snapping at him and pacing around again. Watching her continue to go through her emotions, Chris tilt his head before raising a finger. "A-Alicia...?" he called out nervously, the snake snapping in a "what?!" type of manner while facing him. "Y-You're uh, you're..." he tried to answer, pausing while pointing out the floor where she'd been slithering. "I er, think you're leaking." he finished, the snake looking at the white spots on the floor before tilting her head and raising her tail, looking at her slit revealing his handiwork was slowly seeping out.

"W-We don't wanna leave that kind of mess in here." he smiled, the snake stuttering with a humiliated redness in her face before letting out a scream and rapidly slithering towards the colossal tub before leaping head first inside causing the water within to splash out all around the bath. "Wonder if I should've pointed that out differently." Chris muttered while scratching his cheek. Looking around, he grabbed a rag and went to work cleaning up the spotty areas, not wanting to leave evidence of their activities for the staff to discover and spread word of. Raising her head out of the water slightly, Alicia peaked over the edge of the tub and watched Chris cleaning the mess, blushing shyly and grumbling with her mouth submerged causing bubbles to form around her face. "Eh? Say something?" Chris asked, pausing and looking up at the snake causing her to jolt and dunk her head again. "O-Okay, still going through the moods... Maybe things happened too fast after all?" he muttered before shrugging and finishing his task, Alicia poking her head out of the water once more to watch until he was done and stood. "Don't suppose it's okay if I join you?" he asked while taking the rag to the showers and cleaning it off before turning to face her, the snake glancing away shyly and grumbling under the water again. "Ha ha, you're pretty cute, you know that?" he chuckled causing Alicia to raise her head and flicker her tongue out at him in a "nyeh!!" way before lowering herself back down. "That, or you look like you're hunting me... You want a round two?" he asked, the snake flushing brightly once more and going wide eyed, stuttering in response to his offer before raising up and snapping in an "of course not!!" manner before lowering back down and raising the tip of her tail out of the water, waving it while glancing away and muttering with her mouth submerged in a shy "it's sore..." kind of response making tiny bubbles rise from her mouth.

Unable to resist chuckling at her behavior, Chris walked up to the tub and let himself in, slowly sitting near the snake with a coo and a sigh as she glanced away with an agitated look on her face. "Aww, why ya gotta look that way for? It ruins that adorable blush you've got going on!" Chris point out with a grin, Alicia jolting before growling at him and suddenly raising up, releasing a mouthful of water in his face making Chris laugh. "I didn't know you could use water moves! Was that Water Gun?" he asked, Alicia shouting at him only for Chris to take in a mouthful of water and do the same to her making the snake freeze and go silent before twitching an eye and growling at him as the water dripped off her face. "Looks like I can use water moves too." he chuckled, only for Alicia to flop the end of her tail over his head. "E-Eh?" Chris muttered, blinking and looking up before Alicia suddenly dunked his head beneath the surface making Chris flail before finally releasing him, allowing Chris to splash out of the water and gasp for air. "H-Hey!! Now that's playing dirty, AND dangerous!!" he lectured, only for Alicia to put her nose up and smirk in response. Scowling at the snake, he suddenly grinned and raised his hands, Alicia raising an eyebrow only to jolt back with a "WHA?!" expression on her face as he leaped towards the snake and landed on her, causing Alicia to struggle and wave about before collapsing into the water with him with a shout. Flailing about, she managed to shoot up from the surface with a gasp, panting for a moment before facing down to snap at Chris only to notice he was missing. Blinking for a moment, she suddenly began panicking, thinking she may be on top of him or may have knocked him out due to her massive size thrashing about.

Looking all around and lifting her tail, Alicia started shouting for Chris in a hysterical state, tearing up only for Chris to shoot up from the water behind her and grab the snake in his arms with a grin making Alicia scream wide eyed. "Payback sucks, huh?" he teased, only to pause when Alicia looked back with tears streaming and an enraged look. "H-Hey, i-it's just a joke." he told her, only for Alicia's eye to twitch before snapping her tail around him and shaking his body while shouting. "I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry!!!" Chris panicked, finding himself dizzy and slightly nauseated from the rapid jerking. Once she'd said her piece after his prank, she released him allowing Chris to drop into the water as she turned away and grumbled to herself, letting out a sniffle and wiping her eyes with a vine as Chris raised up. "G-Gee Alicia, didn't mean to make you that upset, m-my bad." he apologized, the snake remaining silent before finally nodding and slithering to one of the corners and resting her head on the edge of the bath. Looking at her for a moment, Chris sighed before showing a smile and crawling up next to her. "You had a good time though, right? I mean, altogether, things were good? I made a nice memory for you?" he asked, Alicia glancing at him before letting out an "mm" noise and showing a slight blush as she glanced away. "Heh, then I'm happy." he nodded before resting his chin on the edge of the bath as well. After a moment of silence, the two glanced at one another before smirking together and letting out a simultaneous sigh as they relaxed, Alicia using her tail to give Chris a pat on the back and making a "thank you" type of noise. "Hey, no need to pat me on the back." he point out, waving his hand to signal her to move her tail making the snake look at him and tilt her head curiously.

"You overcame your sickened state, overcame your evolution paranoia's, risked your life for my sake, heck, look at you tonight, showing a humble side outta nowhere. That definitely caught me off guard, you're a Serperior after all, and to see that side of you just explode right out there, it was something. Especially when you consider the first word you said using your own voice that I understood was sorry of all things. I respect that Alicia, really I do." he praised, giving the snake a pat on the back with a warm smile causing her to blush again, blinking at him before facing away and clearing her throat. After the two had soaked for a while, they finally dried off together before Chris made a call with his Pokedex for staff to bring his clothes and staff to where they were, causing Alicia to tilt her head before showing an "oh yeaaaah" expression, remembering his reasoning for donning his suit secretly as she looked herself over, glancing at Chris before lifting her tail and looking at her slit. "Err, what are you doing?" Chris asked, causing the snake to shout and smash her tail down while shooting up straight, stuttering nervously in response as Chris raised an eyebrow before shrugging and draining the colossal tub. Once his belongings were delivered, he readied himself for their trip back to his room, taking his belongings from the suit he borrowed before handing it over to the staff once they were at the entrance to the spa. "So, everything feeling okay down there?" Chris asked once they were making their way along alone. Looking at him shyly, Alicia nodded with an "mm" in response. "Good, never thought WE'D go all the way. Since we did I'd hoped to make it as great for you as possible." he smiled, the snake flushing and mumbling in response embarrassed.

"...Hope we do it again soon Alicia." he added causing the snake to jolt and pause, looking at Chris as he continued walking along. Pausing himself, he turned back and tilt his head. "What? Was it wrong to say that?" he asked. "I can't help it! More than anything I'd just like getting to do what I did with my face again. That was awesome. I mean, my whole face fits in there! Even with everything I did in mind I still don't think I was able to lick all of it. I'm actually disappointed I didn't focus on doing that more..." he point out before shrugging and continuing along with a sigh, seemingly daydreaming with a satisfied look on his face leaving Alicia stuttering wide eyed before groaning and slithering along with her face down in humiliation, grumbling in an "idiot" manner and seemingly glowing. Once they reached the door to his room, Chris let out a sigh and flipped open his Pokedex to check the time. "Alright then, that just leaves Rose for last." he muttered, shutting his Pokedex and tucking it away. As he reached for the knob however, he found himself tugged from behind, turning to see Alicia having caught the back of his coat in her mouth. "U-Uh, yeah?" Chris asked, turning to the snake as she straightened up, clearing her throat nervously. "You should be able to use Telepathy now since we're so close to Serenity, unless she's already knocked out on us." he point out, turning to the door before facing the snake again. Looking down at him, Alicia took a moment to plan out her words, leaving Chris curious as to the reasoning behind her last second behavior. "There's nothing wrong all of a sudden, is there?" he asked, Alicia shaking her head in response before taking a deep breath and letting out a sigh, nodding and letting out an "alright" noise before looking at him once more.

"I-I uh..." Alicia began, jolting in surprise when she heard her voice and letting out a sigh of relief. "Oh! Good, sounds like Serenity must still be up then... What's on your mind?" Chris asked with a smile. Looking down at him, Alicia glanced away before nodding and looking back at him. "About what happened tonight. I just wanted to say, well..." she paused. "What's wrong? You seem uncomfortable." Chris point out. "It's because of what happened a while ago, back when we were in that spa, combined with the whole servant thing you did." she replied, Chris tilting his head. "Oh? You mean you didn't like it? I figured it would've been awesome to you." he point out, the snake shaking her head. "Admittedly it was amusing at first. I had fun with the idea, even got a laugh or two out of your actions. But the more you did for me, the worse I found myself feeling. And then the whole fiasco in the spa... When I turned my head and saw the two of us in the mirror, you on the floor the way you were, it brought back memories I'd rather keep at the back of my mind." Alicia began explaining. "The more I've thought about it, the more what you did tonight, and what happened at the spa, reminded me of everything I endured with that other human." she point out, glancing away while Chris looked down with an "ah" in response. "That's why..." she paused before looking at Chris as he looked up at her. "I don't want you to do such a thing for me again. I appreciate the thought, but don't ever lower yourself to such a role, even if it's to appease me. I may have my fun by teasing you now and then, I might put on a front most of the time, but never forget that no matter my behavior, no matter what I say, you are my equal in this world." she affirmed, Chris giving her a surprised look.

"And not only are you my equal, but it appears we've crossed a border into another kind of relationship as well... That being the case, you're never to do such a thing again, understood?" she asked, Chris glancing away with a slight blush and nodding while scratching his cheek. "Admittedly it'll take some getting used to on my part, but shocking as it may be, we're..." she paused before muttering "mates now" while glancing away with a shy blush and clearing her throat. "That being the case, you should always strive to stand tall and proud as I do." she instructed, Chris nodding in response. "Seeing you grovel before me in the spa made me realize how negligent I've been towards you... I should've said these things long before now, but just keep my words in mind now that they've come out. No matter my behavior among others, you will always be equal to me. The only equal I have." she affirmed, nodding at Chris and getting a nod back. "Appreciate it Alicia... Well then, shall we head inside and see how the others are doing?" Chris asked, rubbing her on the cheek with a smile causing the snake to blush slightly and smirk. Turning towards the door, he reached out and opened it before stepping inside. "Well then, guess you can hang here and relax now Alici-AAAAHH!!!" Chris shout, the snake dodging aside when Serenity and Rose suddenly tackled him sending Chris flying back out into the corridor, his staff twirling in place like a top before falling over as he lay beneath the girls, both suddenly smothering him with affection out of nowhere while Alicia blinked at them before letting out a sigh and shaking her head. "So much for standing tall..." she muttered, scowling while slithering into the room as Chris flailed and shout beneath the girls.

Looking back, she watched the girls clinging to him and kissing him repeatedly, causing Alicia to scowl in irritation and mutter "stupid..." before continuing her way to the bed and flopping down along it, letting out a sigh and curling up atop the sheets. Feeling another stinging sensation coming from her underside, she let out a hiss and tensed up before relaxing with a quiet coo, resting her head on her coil and glancing at Chris with a blush before facing the opposite direction and shutting her eyes. In the corridor, Chris was struggling against the two until finally managing to wrestle his way free, sitting up with a gasp as if they'd tried to drown him and clutching his chest. "Wha-wa-wa-wa-what's the deal?!" he panicked, quickly crawling backwards as the two crawled up to him with wide grins on their faces until his back hit the wall, gulping with slight sweat on his face as the two giggled before him. "We saw what you do! Hear what you say!" Serenity point out causing Chris to blink at the two with an "e-eh?" of confusion. "At first I sad, feel bad. Feel low. Then see what you do, hear what you say about us in front of humans! Now happy!" she added excitedly before lunging towards him, only for Chris to catch her and push her face back a she puckered her lips. "T-T-T-Time out!! Wadaya talking about?!" he panicked as Rose sat next to him with a giggle. "Some humans came to the room while you were gone. At first Serenity got mad at them and didn't trust them, but after she settled down and opened up a little, they explained stuff to us. Apparently that Captain Rostron human sent them with some kind of... They called it a copy of something?" Rose asked, looking at Serenity and getting a shrug from the Pokemon. "Anyway, they brought us this copy thing and put it in this little opening in the TV and next thing we knew, you showed up on the screen!" Rose smiled.

Looking at the two for a moment, Chris tilt his head before jolting and patting his fist in his palm. "Ooohhh, now I get it. The copy thing they brought you, did it look round? Kinda flat and shiny?" Chris asked, the two quickly nodding in response. "I get it... The reporters must've already made copies of that recording on disks. They work fast." he muttered, crossing his arms and nodding. "So, that means they brought you the video of me making that speech in the restaurant huh? You really liked it?" he asked, both nodding and grinning from ear to ear. "The only part I didn't like too much was when you blamed yourself about me... You know I don't hold it against you." Rose point out. "Y-Yeah, I know. But it's still a fact that I'm responsible for a lot of what you went through after we met that first time. It's just something I can't get over." he replied, scratching his cheek nervously. Looking at him, Rose let out a sigh before patting him on the shoulder and smiling. "You've got a big heart, it shows through your conscious. But you still shouldn't feel bad over something you're not even blamed for, even if you do feel responsible! You thought you could change someone for the better and it just didn't work out. You can't do it for everyone you know. You might've helped us out and made us better, but sometimes there will be people you just can't get to the way you have with us." Rose point out. "Especially when it comes to humans. I don't mean to sound bad or anything, but humans are very, very complicated." she added with a nervous smile, Serenity glancing away and sticking her tongue out while muttering "humans, blech" before suddenly wrapping her arms around Chris causing him to jolt and blush slightly.

"Humans are blech huh? Yet you hug me right after saying that..." Chris point out causing the Pokemon to scowl at him. "You know case with you different!" she replied, puffing out her cheeks while poking his. "Yeah, I know, I know." he smiled, rubbing her on the head before letting out a sigh. "Well, I'm glad you girls liked what I had to say. Even more-so considering it helped cheer you up after what I had to say before Alicia and I left. But thinking back, I still have something else I need to add onto it. Can you two come back inside right quick?" he asked, standing and straightening his clothes before looking down at the girls and offering them each a hand, the two looking at one another warily before facing him with a nod and taking his hands. Once they were back in the room, Chris closed the door behind them before heading to the bed and sitting next to Alicia with a plop, causing the snake to bounce and shoot her head up. "Hey hey!! I'm trying to relax he...!!" she snapped, pausing and blinking at Chris before tilting her head. "Sorry, sorry. Didn't mean to bounce ya so much." Chris apologized with a smile and a wave before facing the others. "What are you doing sitting there for? Are you not going out with Rose?" Alicia asked curiously. "Oh, we're still going out. I just have something to say on top of that moment I had with you girls earlier before we went out." he replied. "What... You want to say to us now? We not do anything bad." Serenity said, rubbing her arm and looking down. "Should I cover my ears? You were kinda loud last time." Rose point out with a nervous laugh. "Oh, no no. I don't have anything bad to say, I promise. I just feel like, now that the mood's back to normal, I should say, or rather, explain something to you." Chris explained, rubbing Rose on the head before holding Serenity's hand. "Just relax and hear me out." he smiled, looking back at Alicia. "That includes you, got it?" he asked with a wink, nudging the snake causing her to glance away and scowl with a "yeah yeah" response. Nodding at her, he faced the others and smiled before facing down, his smile turning into a slightly somber one causing the girls to look at one another nervously.

"About what I said earlier, I'm not sorry for what I said, I'm sorry for how I said it. I was frustrated, and everything just suddenly came out of me. I meant every word, but I didn't mean for it to come out like that. Letting myself boil over and shout the way I did, no matter how angry I feel on the inside, no matter how much I feel pushed, I shouldn't make a point to you girls by responding so harshly, and for that, I apologize. You shouldn't be punished over wanting my affection, you shouldn't be screamed at, and for how strongly I reacted over you girls picking at one another, well, I'm sorry, really I am." he began, continuing to look down at the floor. "See girls, I get where you're coming from. Deep down, I understand why you want to be the favorite, why you want the most love, attention, recognition..." he went on. "The way you were treated in the past, you want to make up for that now that you're with me. What you didn't get to experience before, you want to enjoy now. You probably feel entitled to what you want after everything that's happened to you. But you've got to understand things from my perspective here..." he point out before facing Serenity with a somber look. "I love you so much, I really, honestly do. I'd give everything for you in a heartbeat if I had to." he continued, Serenity looking down and nodding. "But the fact is, if I were to ever allow myself to play favorites with any one of you, it would make me as despicable as the people you were with before. I'd never want to be that kind of person, I'd never want to hurt any of you by being that way." he affirmed while looking down. "Doing that, yeah, it might make one of you happy, but at the cost of really hurting the others in the process. Imagine if one of you actually did become a favorite, that more time and affection started going to you..." he explained, the girls looking up as they thought it over and showed small smiles.

"Then imagine how the others would feel. How they'd have to endure a distance forming between us, how they'd feel less important, less loved, less wanted..." he added, causing them to look at one another before facing down the same as him. "It'd be cruel, making one person happy and forcing everyone else to suffer because of it. Everyday it runs through my mind, how you were treated, how you were abandoned, all because someone else was put before you, because others were deemed more important, because someone thought they themselves, and their own desires, came first..." he continued. "I-I can't do that to you girls... I know how much you want to be number one, believe me I do, and I know how frustrating it is not being able to have that, but it's just not possible. It would cause too much pain." he point out, the girls facing one another as Chris sighed and shook his head. "You girls would start fighting with the favorite just to get more love and attention, placing yourselves at the top in an endless circle, over and over. And inside, all you would feel is more and more pain, having to fight for my love and all. You see how sad a life that would be? How much you would suffer in the end?" he asked, the girls showing somber looks of their own and nodding silently. "A life where all of you are equals, that's what I want for you, it's my gift to you. I don't mean for it to be a curse, I don't mean for it to cause trouble between you. It's a life I feel, that I know you deserve more than anything, one where none of you ever have to suffer, where none of you ever have to worry about being left behind. A life where, together, we all walk side by side, and when one falls behind, we're always quick to pull that person back by our side." he explained, looking at them one by one.

"A lifetime of knowing you'll never have to fight to be equal again, of knowing the love and attention given to you is one in the same as those beside you. Of knowing you've an equal part of a heart reserved just for you, always for you, and knowing that will never change. Your space might never grow, you might never be able to get ahead of the others, but is that really such a terrible thing when it's a life free from worry? A life free of loneliness? One where you know you'll never fall behind again?" he asked, the girls remaining silent before nodding once more in response. "Up until now, I've lived by these words for each of your sake. I've climbed cliffs for you." he paused, looking at Serenity. "I've reached out to you when you thought the world was finished with you." he added, looking back at Alicia. "I've put you before my own life, in one way or another..." he went on, looking at Rose. "We've traveled together, fought together, we've endured and grown together, everything we've done, we've done together. That's what a family is like, and that's how a family should be. I know this kind of lifestyle might frustrate you sometimes, it's hard to accept equality when you want something so much... Something you've never had before. But you've gotta think of the happiness, of the comfort and peace it brings to those around you by not having what you want. By not loving any of you more than the other, by not giving any of you more attention than the rest, can't you see how much better your lives are now because of it? I might be wrong, but... Has there been a single day that's gone by where you've felt alone? Where you've felt forgotten, or all that sad even? The way you've tried to compete with one another, doesn't it feel pointless? Don't you feel any pain or sadness inside? Do you really want to keep fighting for the sake of losing a life like this between us? For a life that sounds so sad instead?" he asked, looking at the girls as they thought his words over.

"You girls, each and every one of you mean the world to me. And really, I mean it, I'd give anything for your sake. Everything that I have, if dropping it all meant your happiness and well being, I'd throw it all to the ground. I love you more than I can ever say, and that doesn't go for one of you, but all of you. You're each a treasure unmatched by anything in this word, and I'd fight tooth and nail to keep you in my life and ensure your joy and safety. Even though it's a life that gets hard sometimes because of me and what I've got to do, I fight just as hard for your sake each day to keep you a priority, so everyday is special, fun and happy. So that each of you feel just as loved and appreciated as the person you look at beside you... It's like I said, that's my greatest gift to you girls, is that really a gift you want to give back or throw away? Just because... You want to be number one?" he asked. "Serenity, Alicia, Rose... Your lives, your very names are gifts from my heart, given to you because of how special each and every one of you is to me, because of how amazing having each of you around has made my life. Each day we're together, I put all the dedication I can into making it something to remember, just as much as the dedication I put into deciding what to call you. You're not my Pokemon, there's no reason to compete the way you do. You're my family, and I'd never disgrace or wound a single one of you by treating you any other way than I do now." he affirmed before facing down and closing his eyes with a smile. "I love you, I really, really do. The only thing I want, that I'll ever want, is for all of you to always be happy. Even if this way of living is frustrating for you, I'd never change it, because you deserve a way better life than that." he finished.

Sitting silently for a moment, Chris raised his head, only to jolt wide eyed when he saw Serenity and Rose tearing up with flushed faces, turning back to see Alicia looking the same way. "G-Girls?!" Chris panicked, looking at them as they bit their lips before suddenly sobbing simultaneously, leaving Chris at a loss of what to do with all three now emotionally unraveled around him. Standing up, he continued panicking while trying to coax them into easing back their tears, going to each of them and wiping their eyes while shushing them only for all three to continue weeping. Standing in the middle of the girls, Chris looked at them all before letting out an "aw man..." sigh and slumping, feeling he went too far with his speech before letting out a loud "urk!!" when Alicia yanked him close on the bed with her tail and coiled around him, followed by Serenity and Rose who jumped into him and embraced Chris together, all three soaking him with tears as he struggled, groaning before letting out a defeated sigh and nodding with a smile. "Alright, alright, get it all out of your systems." he coaxed, rubbing each girl on the head. "C-Can we agree that this life is the better option then?" he asked with a nervous laugh, the girls sniffling and nodding in response before continuing to embrace him. Once they'd settled down enough, Chris worked his way out of their clutches and grabbed the box of tissues next to the bed, wiping their eyes and letting them blow their noses before standing and cleaning himself off, wiping his face and patting the wet spots on his clothes. "G-Geez, when you girls let it out you really don't hold back..." he muttered, the girls sniffling with a simultaneous "sorry" in response.

As they continued to hick and sniffle, Chris rubbed each girl on the cheek and kissed them on the forehead before looking around, finding his staff and taking it in hand before taking out his Pokedex and flipping it open. "It's getting pretty late... Need to make some new plans..." he muttered. "You girls just hang in here for a few minutes. We'll go out soon Rose, just need some time to arrange some stuff. Think up ideas." he smiled, getting a nod from them as they watched him head for the balcony, sliding the door open while turning on the outside light causing Alicia to shudder due to the cold night air wafting in before he stepped out and closed it behind him, the snake sighing in relief as they watched him step into the snow, wiping it off the railing before leaning against it and looking at various lists on his device, the girls noticing his lips moving. "There he goes again, back to work..." Alicia said quietly. "Look like he talking, he make call again?" Serenity asked. "He said he wanted to make plans, he's probably getting ready for his time with me now." Rose point out, smiling excitedly. "Admittedly it's hard to believe he's still going. After everything that's occurred, he's still working tirelessly." Alicia point out. "We have good time, that all that matter. We have fun." Serenity added with a nod. Looking at the two, Rose was silent as she returned her attention to Chris, tilting her head before poking her fingers and sulking slightly. "Say, do you think this is being selfish?" she asked, Serenity and Alicia looking at the rabbit and tilting their heads. "Having an enjoyable time is selfish? How so?" Alicia asked. "It's like you said, after everything that's happened, he's still going, still working and all. First he was busy focusing on the ship and everyone on it being happy, and now he's here focusing on us and making us happy... Now that I think about it, we still haven't done much for him in return. The last thing we really did that was special was back at the mansion." she point out, Serenity and Alicia looking at one another before glancing away silently.

"W-Well, there are SOME things we've done that certainly show our appreciation." Alicia replied, blushing slightly and thinking back on the intimacy they'd just shared. "She right, we do... Things." Serenity agreed, fidgeting shyly while showing a blush of her own. Looking at the two, Rose nodded before looking back at Chris. "Y-Yeah, I know we've done stuff like THAT together, but then again that's also something WE want. Even if it's something he wants too, isn't it... Bad in a way that it's kinda the only thing we do that the both of us want? He keeps dong a lot of other stuff for us too, but besides that certain thing we do, what else do we really do for him? It kinda makes me feel guilty." Rose point out. "The problem is he doesn't WANT us to do anything for him. That's what makes it difficult on our end to reciprocate his actions." Alicia replied, Serenity and Rose tilting their heads. "I-It means return the favor." the snake explained with slight sweat on her face, the two letting out an "ooohhh" and nodding in response, Alicia sighing and shaking her head. "Well, even though he says that, he reacted pretty strongly to that surprise we gave him at the mansion. Maybe we should try thinking of something like that to do for him again. I mean, just look at how much he treasures what we did." Rose point out, all three looking at the banner they'd made hanging above the fireplace and the figures lining the mantle. "He certainly reacts strongly to the simplest of things. Who knew he'd care for such trivial trinkets to such a degree for someone who wants nothing?" Alicia replied. Looking at the banner and figures for a moment, Serenity lowered her head with a warm smile. "He always tell us we treasures. Most important thing in life. So that why he treat what we give him so special. We his treasures, so what we give him treasures too. That how much we mean. How much he love us." she point out, showing a small blush once more.

Looking at Serenity, both Alicia and Rose blushed slightly themselves while looking back at what they'd given Chris, smiling the same as her and nodding. "You know, we really do have it good now, don't we?" Rose asked, the two letting out a simultaneous "mm" of agreement with a nod. "He's such a frustrating fool, his heart on his sleeve, modest to the point of obnoxious sometimes, but he's lovable nonetheless. And... I suppose at the end of the day, there's not another human in this world I'd rather share my days with. He does make me happy, keeps a smile on my face, that I can't deny." Alicia smirked. Looking at the two, Serenity glanced away silently for a moment before looking at Chris as the snow slowly piled on top of his hair. "...I guess it not too bad having you here. You appreciate Chris way he deserve. Even if not good at showing it much." she told the two, giving Alicia a scowl causing the snake to scowl back with a "watch it" response. "Anyway..." Serenity grumbled before the three looked at him. "What he say right, we all suffer, and he make us feel better. He treat us all good, make us all feel special. I might want to be favorite, but not right to force. So... It not hurt if, from now on, we not fight to be favorite anymore." Serenity nodded, Rose and Alicia blinking at her in surprise. "We might still fight, but not to be favorite. We not get along, that not going to change. But not need to make him sad by making him reason we fight, that not right, I agree with that." she added. "Well, that's certainly a shock. You're really willing to give up on being the favorite?" Alicia asked. "Not get wrong. Still not like you much. But... Not want him to be sad. And you have bad life like me, so even if I not like, I not want you to have bad life again. We fight, that probably happen forever, but that not mean I want you to leave, that hurt him too much." Serenity point out.

"I never stop wishing we be alone, that we go back to time before met you, but he give heart to you too, even if I not like it. And you give heart to him, so that make you okay to stay, okay to be with. I allow, so I not push away anymore. I do that for him, but you not take advantage. Got it?" Serenity asked. "You make it sound like we needed YOUR permission in the first place." Alicia scowled. "You take what you get. I trying to be nice. Not ruin it." Serenity replied, crossing her arms and putting her nose up. "I do this for him, we do this for him. Agree?" she asked, the snake grumbling in response before letting out a sigh and nodding. "Sooo... Does that mean you two will try to work on being friends, at least a little?" Rose asked while raising her hand, only to have them loom over her and quickly give a simultaneous "NOT A CHANCE!!" response making the rabbit shrink away, poking her fingers and facing down nervously as the two scowled at one another and faced away. "I-I guess it's a start anyway." Rose said quietly before smiling nervously once more. After a moment, Chris finally came back in, patting the snow off his body and letting out a sigh. "Well, seems we've still got some pretty good options even though it's getting late. Ready to head on out Rose?" he asked, smiling at the rabbit causing her to jolt and fidget shyly. "I-I'm not ready just yet. I've gotta do something first." she replied before hurrying off to the bathroom and shutting the door, leaving Chris tilting his head curiously. "O-Okay then." he muttered before facing Serenity and Alicia. "You girls doing alright?" he asked, smiling at the two causing them to jolt and face away embarrassed. "W-We're quite alright, thank you. We've merely come to terms with a few matters." the snake revealed, glancing at Serenity with a scowl and getting a scowl from her in return.

"Oh? Do tell." Chris replied while leaning against the couch. "It like I say, I still wish it just you and me. But you love them, and they love you. I watch them since we meet, and after what they do for you, I decide it okay for them to stay. It okay for you to love them too, it okay for them to love you. They prove themselves, so I not be way I was." Serenity explained, crossing her arms with her back to Alicia. "It's safe to say we'll still have our disputes among one another, guaranteed in fact, but you can be at ease knowing it's not so much because of you as it is we're simply opposites that don't get along so well." the snake added. "We may still have our quarrels, but it's something you'll simply have to look past. It's a matter of who we are, not so much that we wish for the other person to go away. I suppose you can consider our bickering as our own way of being a family, and find comfort in that fact." Alicia nodded. "When push come to shove, we do good things together. Even if not like much, when something get hard, we help each other. Rose and snake, they both... Okay." Serenity admit. Looking at the two, Chris blinked in surprise before nodding at them in response. "Well, nobody's saying you have to be perfect towards one another, but it's really awesome to hear you're willing to change, even if just a little." he replied before walking up and rubbing both on the head. "Deep down you really do have an equal respect for one another. Even if you're not the closest companions, it's good to know you don't want to chase the other person away, at least not anymore, and really that's all I was asking for. It puts me at ease, really it does." he told them with a smile, causing the girls to blush and glance away shyly. "Thanks you two, really. I mean it." he added before giving both a hug, Serenity and Alicia looking at one another before facing away silently.

"You happy, all that matter." Serenity replied. "Quite, it's troublesome having guilt over ones shoulders." Alicia added. Looking at the two, Chris grinned before telling the girls he loved them, causing both to jolt and respond with a flustered "stupid" in response before looking at each other and turning their backs towards one another. "Looks like there ARE things you can agree on!" Chris laughed, causing them to grumble in response. Sitting on the bed between the two, Chris looked at them before grinning and putting an arm around each, pulling them against his sides. "I've got the best family in the world!" he chuckled, causing the girls to blush and face away embarrassed. "N-Not need to do that." Serenity muttered. "Q-Quite, we understand your appreciation without all the affection." Alicia added. "Oh? Well... Alright then." Chris replied, releasing them before crossing his arms with his nose up. "I'll just keep my hands to myself then." he added, shrugging causing the two to blink at him before scowling. "Hey! Not take that far!" Serenity replied. "And what's with that pose? That's my thing you know!" Alicia added, only for Chris to stick his tongue out with a "nyeh!" in response. Looking at him for a moment, both girls puffed out their cheeks in agitation before calling him "stupid" simultaneously once more and giving him a sudden kiss on each cheek, causing Chris to jolt before grinning with a "that's more like it!" response, both blushing and facing away with a scowl. "I-I'm ready..." they heard a voice call out, causing the three to jolt before facing the bathroom door as Rose walked out, donning one of the outfits she'd picked out while they'd shopped together. Letting out a whistle, Chris gripped his staff and stood before walking up to the rabbit, looking her over curiously causing Rose to blush and fidget shyly. "Y-You're making me nervous." she said quietly as he circled her.

"S-Sorry about that." Chris apologized while standing in front of her. "Nice dress... You're already cute on a normal bases, but wearing that you're on a whole new level. You've got great taste Rose!" Chris praised, giving the rabbit a thumbs up causing her to face down with a flattered blush. "I-It's not much really. Just a little dress. Serenity wore human clothes when you went out, so I thought I should do the same. You sure it doesn't look weird, me wearing human stuff I mean?" she asked, fidgeting shyly as Chris shook his head. "No way! They might've been made for humans, but I think you look better in that than any human could!" he grinned, causing Rose to smile from ear to ear and nod. Seeing their cozy scene, Serenity puffed out her cheeks in agitation, Alicia giving her a pat on the back with the tip of her tail, getting a "yeah yeah" response from Serenity while she crossed her arms and scowled. "Now that I think about it..." Chris muttered, squatting down and looking Rose over, the rabbit flushing as he examined her legs. "It actually gives you some pretty nice sex appeal in its own way too... Cute with just the right hint of sexy. That's a balanced combination any guy could praise!" he grinned causing Rose to shout and back away, pulling down on the front of her skirt. "N-N-N-No more praise!! P-Please and thank you!!" she replied in a panicked state. "Aww, and now we're back to cute." Chris chuckled, standing before rubbing Rose on the head. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to fluster you too much." he smiled, the rabbit fidgeting and nodding in response. "Oy oy oy! I say I not mind them but not have to show TOO much lovey lovey in front of me!" Serenity point out in a jealous state, scowling at Chris while Alicia rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"You're the only one I know that would get that way over a bunny getting affection. It's Rose of all people, how can you get so touchy over that?" Alicia asked, the rabbit looking at her with a "thank you" smile on her face. "I mean, really, there's no competition to fret over with her." Alicia added, causing Rose's smile to turn into a sulky frown, poking her fingers and muttering "gee, thanks" in response. "Hey hey, there's no competition at all, remember?" Chris point out, causing Alicia to jolt before clearing her throat and facing away. "Q-Quite right, my apologies." she replied as Chris gave Rose a smile. "Don't worry about it, you know you're all beautiful to me." he reminded with a thumbs up, making Rose smile once more herself while leaning against his side and holding his hand. "Well then, guess it's time for the final date... All set?" Chris asked, looking down at Rose as she thought over the question before nodding with a happy "mm!" in response. "Well alright then. Thanks to some surprising stuff happening, I've actually got a treat for you that wasn't in the books until now! I think you're really gonna love it." he grinned, the rabbit tilting her head curiously as he let go of her hand and walked up to Serenity and Alicia. "You girls are gonna be alone together while we're out... You've had your turns and got to enjoy yourselves, now I want you to return the favor by behaving, alright? You're not left alone very often, just the two of you I mean, so this is your chance to really impress me. Rose deserves her time, and I deserve the peace of mind by knowing you'll take it easy, right?" he asked, Serenity and Alicia glancing at one another and growling before facing away and nodding.

"I not do anything bad. Snake leave me alone, we be okay." Serenity replied, crossing her arms. "Yes yes, I'll leave the pitiable thing alone, rest assured." Alicia replied before the two faced him. "It's not like she's worth my time anyway." they both said simultaneously, Chris blinking at their response before the two faced one another. "Excuse me?" Alicia asked. "What that you say?" Serenity replied, the two twitching an eye as they scowled at each other. Letting out a sigh, Chris shook his head. "Okay, okay. The point is you'll behave, right?" he asked, the two keeping an agitated eye on each other while nodding in response. "Well then, I'm putting my trust in you. Don't let me down." he instructed before turning to Rose with a smile, offering his hand to the rabbit. As she walked up and accepted the offer, he turned back to the others, causing them to jolt and scowl at him with a simultaneous "what?" in response, each showing a scowl only to jolt wide eyed when he gave them each a kiss on the cheek. "...I love you so much." he chuckled before heading towards the door, opening it for Rose and allowing her to leave first before stepping out himself, turning back to smile at the two once more before shutting it leaving them sitting on the bed together in silence. Slowly, the two touched their cheeks, Serenity using her hand while Alicia placed the tip of her tail against her own before a blush spread across their faces, looking at the door together. After a moment, the two looked at one another before facing away, muttering to themselves about his actions. "S-Say, you say thing that made me wonder..." Serenity said, turning to the snake causing Alicia to jolt and face her as well. "When you say there some things we do to show appreciation... That mean you do what I think you did with him?" she asked, pointing at the snake.

Blinking at her for a moment, Alicia let out an "eh?" in response before a flush slowly spread across her face. "E-Eh?!! P-Pardon me?!!" she shout, jerking back and looking as if steam could pop out of her head at any moment causing Serenity to gasp wide eyed. "You DID!! YOU DO IT!!" she shout before grabbing a pillow and whacking Alicia. "You do it!! You do it!! I not believe you!!" she added, the snake raising her tail to guard her head before snatching a pillow herself in her mouth and smacking Serenity, the force sending the Pokemon off the side of the bed. "So what if I did?!! That's none of your concern!!" Alicia argued as Serenity raised up, rubbing her head with a groan before growling at the snake. "B-B-Besides, what of that talk of you being fine with us?! S-Such actions naturally come with the territory!!" she added, Serenity twitching an eye before suddenly jumping up and whacking Alicia on the head repeatedly, shouting "That not what I mean!! You not supposed to do THAT!!" while doing so until the snake retaliate and sent Serenity off the bed once again. "I'll do what I wish when I wish!!" Alicia snapped. "That not supposed to mean him!! You not supposed to do him too!!" Serenity argued, the snake flushing with her mouth agape. "You rude little cur!! Bite your tongue!!" Alicia snapped back, whacking Serenity with her pillow causing her to scream and cover her mouth, the snake freezing in surprise. "I-I actually hurt you that badly?" she asked. "I-I..." Serenity said, shuddering with her eyes tightly shut before uncovering her mouth and holding out her tongue. "I bit my tongue!!" she shout, fanning her mouth while Alicia muttered "She took it literally...?" before being caught off guard when Serenity let out a furious scream and lunged at her, whacking the snake repeatedly with her pillow.

Outside of the room, Chris and Rose were listening in on the two with their ears against the door, the two looking at one another and letting out a sigh. "Well, the road to progress is always a tricky one I guess." Chris point out while backing away from the door. "Their road's gonna be especially tough." Rose laughed nervously as they heard the two continue to argue. "I guess this is just their way of venting what's left without actually killing one another. At least, I hope they don't." Chris smiled with slight sweat on his face. "I just wish what they were arguing about wasn't over something so humiliating. I mean, they can be heard out here, probably through the walls too. Of all the things to get out of their systems, they choose to scream about doing something like that with me..." he sighed, rubbing the back of his head with an embarrassed look, Rose tilting her head curiously. "Hmm? What's wrong?" Chris asked, looking down at her with a raised eyebrow. "I-I was just wondering... How come you're so open with me?" she asked. "Wadaya mean? Do I act different with you than them somehow?" he replied, squatting down and looking at her with a curious look of his own. "It's just, when you talk to me you seem different somehow. You seem... More comfortable maybe?" she asked, Chris blinking at her before looking up and thinking for a moment. "Well, really I'm comfortable with all three of you. But when it comes to you Rose, dunno. Guess I just feel more at peace. The way you are and all, I feel like I can say things that, if I said it to them, would normally get used against me, or they'd use against each other. I can talk to you without anything blowing up in my face as easily as things do with them. So..." he paused, standing and crossing his arms.

"Mmm... I guess it's because you're the most mellow between the three of you. You're the calm one. You're not looking to antagonize anyone, and you're a pretty confidential person I think. So with you, I guess I do enjoy a bit more comfort than usual. I don't have to walk around on my toes trying to double check everything I say and do. You're a good person to open up to, someone that's good at listening and understanding. You're a sensitive person, and you understand the sensitivities others have and you respect them. It's probably the way you respect others and the way you give off this mature vibe that makes me seem different with you. Folks are just naturally drawn to people like you." he smiled, causing Rose to blush slightly. "M-Mature?" she asked before facing down and poking her fingers. "Th-Thank you." she added, smiling from the praise while Chris nodded. "I hope I can always count on you and trust in you." he chuckled, rubbing the rabbit on the head causing her smile to spread further before grinning and nodding back. "Well then, shall we g...!!" he asked, cut off when something thud against the door causing them both to jump. "Ha!! Snake missed me!!" they heard Serenity shout. "Th-They're gonna ruin that room." he muttered before shaking his head with a sigh. "Ah well... I guess a relationship is a relationship. We just all have our own ways of showing we're a family." he chuckled before holding his hand out to Rose. "Wadaya say we get our date rolling already, hmm?" he asked, the rabbit grinning with a nod and taking his hand before the two made their way down the corridor. "Keep in mind now, since Serenity won't be around I won't be able to understand you very well, but just like with Alicia I'll do my best to read you, alright?" he point out, Rose nodding in response.

Once they'd reached the Grand Staircase lobby, Chris was about to lead Rose toward the lower decks only for the rabbit to pull back, causing Chris to pause and turn back curiously. "Is... Something wrong? Did you forget something?" he asked, Rose shaking her head and pointing up the stairs in response. "What? You wanna go there instead? It's pretty cold outside now ya know. It's snowing even... I'd bet the whole ship's covered by now actually." he point out, Rose giving his hand another pull and pointing up a second time. "O-Okay, okay. I was gonna take you to the lower decks to see about having some fun you know. See about getting you a little gift or something, maybe dance some like I did for the others. Have some good food too! I'm sure you'd have a blast!" he smiled, Rose shaking her head in response and pulling his hand once more. "Y-You'd really rather go outside huh? If you're sure, but they're not doing much outside. Captain says they've got some stuff set up, but it's nothing too exciting I don't think." he point out, Rose shrugging in response before leading him towards the upper deck instead. Looking down at her as she pulled him along, Chris blinked in surprise before showing another smile. "I guess you just took the lead in this date, huh?" he chuckled, Rose pausing and looking back with an "is that bad?" expression in response. "I-I don't mind! Really! In fact, I'd say it gives me a little break if anything. L-Lead the way." he nodded, Rose smiling with an "mm!" and a nod in response before continuing along. Once they reached the exit, one of the crew was at the door on the outside, cleaning the glass before noticing the two and jolting. "S-Sorry for the startle. We're just heading out for a bit." Chris smiled while pointing at the door. Looking at the two, the man nodded before opening the door with a bow, offering to let them through and getting a nod from them in response before walking past. "Huh, nice guy." Chris muttered, looking back as he shut the door and continued cleaning.

Walking on while looking back, he wound up stumbling over Rose, causing the rabbit to shout as he flailed and twirled around her before falling backwards onto a bench, causing a crunching sound. "E-Eh...?" he muttered, looking under himself before letting out a sigh of relief. "Lucky break." he added with a nervous laugh, standing to see a print of his butt left in the snow with some stuck to his backside causing him to groan embarrassed while Rose giggled and pat the snow off. "Th-Thanks." he nodded before looking around. "Boy, stuff builds up pretty easy huh?" he point out, Rose looking around herself with an "ooohhh" expression due to the snow glittering under the lights of the ship. "It started snowing hours ago, back when I was with Serenity, and its been coming down ever since. It's like a whole different ship, huh?" he chuckled, the rabbit remaining silent causing him to raise an eyebrow. Standing next to her for a moment, he backed away towards the bench, leaning his staff against it before scooping up a heap of snow in his arms from the seat and sneaking behind Rose before releasing it, causing her to shoot up with a shout and stand frozen. "Gotcha!" Chris grinned as she blinked before looking herself over, sniffing at the snow on her arms curiously. "Err... Gotcha?" Chris smiled nervously as she licked the snow before shaking the rest off with a "brrr" noise and facing him, tilting her head. "I uh, thought it'd be funny. That's what people do with snow." he point out, Rose looking around herself. "That's right, you've seen it but never really been in it, so you don't get how things work." Chris muttered as she squat down and poked her finger into the snow.

"See, it's pretty stuff, but people like to use it to play games too!" Chris point out, squatting down beside her and picking up a handful. "Watch this..." he instructed, Rose tilting her head curiously as he molded the ice into a ball causing the rabbits eyes to widen. Standing up, he looked around before picking out a target. "See that pole over there? I'm gonna hit it!" Chris grinned before taking a pose as if he were a pitcher, pulling back his arm before sending the snowball flying, only to miss his target and watch as it flew over the railing and into the sea. "A-Ah, well, it HAS been a while." he point out, clearing his throat embarrassed and glancing away only to jolt when he heard a thud, looking at the pole to find the remains of a snowball splattered against it. "E-Eh?" he muttered, blinking before looking at Rose as she point at the pole with a "hit it" expression on her face. "N-Not bad." he replied in surprise, looking back at the pole. "I uh, suddenly feel an inferior thing going on." he laughed nervously, the rabbit patting his arm with a raspy "there there" sound and smiling. Hearing her voice, Chris jolt and looked down at her. "That's right. I keep forgetting about..." he said before cutting himself off and glancing away with a guilty look. "H-How's your throat? This cold air isn't bothering it or anything, right?" he asked, causing Rose to blink at him and tilt her head, confused by his sudden somber look before touching her throat and showing an "oh..." expression, facing down and smiling before shaking her head. "Y-You sure? Anything feels off you just let me know! I'll get you back inside in a heartbeat." he affirmed, Rose patting his arm and giving a raspy "don't worry!" sound in response, Chris looking at her for a moment before smiling. "Alright then. Sorry for the way I'm still bothered by certain stuff." he apologized, Rose shaking her head before holding his hand once more.

Taking his staff from the bench, the two walked along, passing the pole Rose hit. "You've got a good arm there. I was way off, but you hit it dead on. That would've surprised the others too I bet... Always full of surprises, huh Rose?" he chuckled, the rabbit waving her hand in a "aw c'mon" manner and smiling as they strolled on. Once they reached the bow, Rose paused when she smelled something in the air, raising her nose and sniffing curiously. "What's up?" Chris asked, Rose continuing to sniff the air before pointing out a nearby stand, set up on the bow to serve whatever passengers came out to enjoy the snow. "Huh, that's quaint." Chris muttered. "Wanna get something?" he asked, Rose looking up before smiling with an "mm" in response. Walking up, it turned out passengers were being given complimentary cups of hot cocoa, Rose smelling the scent and letting out a sigh look on her face. Ordering two cups, the crew member filled his order and capped their drinks, wrapping each in a napkin before handing a cup to each of them. "We'll probably drink this pretty often while we're here in the north." Chris smiled, Rose sniffing her drink and shuddering as they walked along the bow. "Look at that..." Chris point out, noticing a huge mound of snow having piled where the Arceus figurehead had been left. Wiping the snow away, he revealed the tarp that was left over it. "I've still got no idea what I'm going to do with it. I mean, for one, it's colossal, and secondly, who knows how much that thing's gonna wind up being worth. That's gonna take some careful planning." he point out, Rose tilting her head before looking at the mound of snow as well. "I'll have to think of something really special though. Something that gives it the honor it deserves. That they deserve." he added, looking back towards the bridge above. "It's gonna be hard going over the facts with everyone. I kind of wonder whether or not I should tell Smith and the other spirits, and Rostron, it's gonna be hard on him too. He works for the people..." Chris thought aloud, Rose looking up at him and letting out a raspy "huh?" type of noise. Jolting, Chris let out a nervous laugh before shaking his head. "Don't worry, it's nothing you should be concerned about." he affirmed before raising his cup and taking a cautious sip.

"Ooohhh, good stuff... Best you be careful though, it's pretty hot." he point out, Rose nodding before trying some of her drink as well, jolting from the temperature before letting out a satisfied coo. Looking her over, Chris showed a wary expression. "You sure you're not cold or anything? That skirt's pretty short and your arms are in the open too." he point out. Looking up at him, Rose blinked with an "eh?" expression before looking herself over and waving her hand, rubbing her arm before holding it out for him to do the same. "O-Oh yeah, your fur probably keeps you plenty warm, huh?" he replied while squatting and setting his staff down before feeling the softness of her coat. "You sure do take good care of yourself. I bet there isn't a Lopunny in the world with fur this nice." he chuckled, causing Rose to blush slightly and face away with a shy smile, letting out a raspy "thank you" noise in response. Hearing her voice, Chris couldn't help but show a split second of guilt in his eyes once more, the gliding movement of his hand along her arm turning still. Taking another sip of her cocoa, Rose hadn't noticed at first, letting out another coo before finally looking at him and tilting her head, noticing he'd lowered his face with his hand still resting in place on her arm. Blinking at him, she let out a raspy "you okay?" type of noise, only to hear Chris mutter something in response. Confused, she tried gently pulling her arm away, only for Chris to grip it making Rose jolt and freeze. Speaking louder, she heard him say "I'm sorry" more clearly, making the rabbit let out a "huh?" noise, looking at him bewildered before finding herself abruptly pulled against him, Chris wrapping his arms around her making Rose flush and let out a raspy "e-e-ehh?!" noise.

Trying to pull away nervously, she let out panicked noises until Chris repeat his apology, making Rose pause as he held her tightly. "I-I'm sorry Rose, really I am. If it weren't for me, you'd of never had to go through recovery, you'd still have your beautiful, normal voice... The more time passes, the worse I feel over what happened to you. Even though I saved your life, what happened that second time we met, it shouldn't have come to that. If that guy hadn't been given a second chance thanks to me, none of what you went through would've happened. Who knows what else he did to hurt you before we found you in the city." he said before repeating his apology several times, Rose standing silently before looking down. "It hurts, it really does. Because of me, someones life was tortured again and again, until that life was almost taken away completely. That first time we met, I walked away. I turned my back thinking everything would work itself out, that he'd learn some lesson and magically treat you better. I'm stupid Rose, I'm really, really stupid. I caused you so much pain, helping you just to leave you in the same cruel hands in the same miserable life." he added before apologizing several times once more. "After everything I let you go through, I had no right to wind up saved by you during that battle, I had no right for you to fight the way you did for my sake. I have no right for you to be with me now... I didn't deserve what you did for me, and I don't deserve you staying with me especially after abandoning you to stay with that guy. Deep down, in a way I was hoping I'd wind up in prison. That guy was guilty of abusing you the way he did, of trying to kill you, and I was guilty and still am of allowing that to happen. Everyday the guilt gets worse and worse Rose, it hurts, it really, really hurts. Someone so nice, so sweet and gentle, I left someone so pure in the hands of someone so vile..." he went on before he started hicking and clinging to her tighter, repeating his apology several times yet again.

Hearing his remorse, Rose let out a sigh before smiling and holding his head in her arms, closing her eyes and rubbing his head with a raspy "there there" type of noise. "Why Rose...? Why do you love me? Why do you care about me at all? You should hate me for what I let you go through! I abandoned you! I caused everything that happened to you!" he shout before sobbing, repeating "I'm sorry" again and again while Rose looked down at him with tears in her eyes, showing a touched expression from his guilt and sorrowful behavior. "He could've killed you Rose, he really could've! And I just know he must've tortured you way more than what we saw that day! The thought of the pain you must've endured, waking up everyday knowing the abuse waiting for you, and having to live everyday in that much misery, all because you just wanted to live a life of peace, because you hated violence and I wanted to give someone so cruel a second chance. I'm so sorry Rose, oh God I'm sorry!!" he shout before continuing to sob, the passengers around them looking at the two curiously while the snow continued softly falling around them. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Chris hicked as his tears dripped into the snow below, sinking to his hands and knees before the rabbit causing Rose to sniffle herself. "Stupid, stupid, I was so stupid and it cost you so much. I put you through so much agony by leaving you behind, and I'll never forgive myself for that." he added. "The guilt, the pain, it tortures me everyday. Even when I confessed and revealed everything when I was with Alicia, it didn't help at all. Instead it just made me feel worse, because no matter how much I confess, no matter how much I apologize, I realized it doesn't wipe away the fact of knowing I let such a kind, innocent girl suffer a life of torture." he went on.

Looking down at him, Rose sniffled and wiped her eyes before coaxing him to raise up, Chris sitting on his knees in response and trying to collect himself. Seeing him cry, Rose smiled warmly before taking the napkin off from around her cup and wiping his tears, letting out a quiet and soft "it's alright" noise while Chris let out a sulky "uuuuu" noise and hicked again, once again telling her he was sorry. Letting out a sigh, Rose giggled before letting out a raspy "oh boy" sound and shaking her head before patting Chris on the head, making another sound as if to say "silly boy" while Chris sniffled again and looked at her with tears in his eyes, his face showing a blush across it from sobbing making him appear as if a guilty child in front of the touched rabbit. Seeing how sad yet cute and goofy he looked, Rose couldn't help but snicker before letting out a raspy laughter, causing Chris to blink at her with an "eh?" in response before sulking. "G-Guess being laughed at is one thing I deserve..." he groaned. Shaking her head again, Rose pat him on the shoulder with a "no no" type of sound, leaning forward and giving him a kiss on the forehead making Chris's eyes slowly widen until she pulled away. Seeing his surprised look, Rose giggled as he slumped backwards, this time showing a blush out of shyness and embarrassment while Rose used the napkin to wipe his eyes again, giving Chris a wink before motioning for him to stand with an "up up!" kind of noise. Setting her cup down for a moment, she grabbed one of his hands with both of hers before helping him stand, pulling his arm as he raised up until he was on his feet once more. "I-I don't get it..." he replied, looking down at Rose as she picked up her cup and his, holding it out to him with another warm smile.

Taking it in hand, Chris replied with a "th-thank you" before she picked up his staff and handed it to him as well. Once he was holding it like always, Rose looked him over with a "hmm" noise before giving him a thumbs up. "S-Seriously, I'm confused here. After saying all that, you're kissing me and all smiles? Didn't my words make you realize anything?" he asked. "Oh aye, they made the lass realize something alright." he hear a familiar voice say from behind, causing Chris to jump and shout from the startle before turning to see Smith grinning with his arms crossed. "Ahoy lad! Seems we're destined to run into one another rather frequently. Not that I mind however, it's always a surprise in store when you're around." he chuckled, Chris blinking at him and replying with a "h-hey" in response before glancing away embarrassed. "You saw and heard all that huh?" Chris asked, scratching his cheek shyly while getting a grunt from the Captain in response. "You're quite interesting. Saving lives and taking on giants one moment, making inspiring speeches the next, then bawling like a wee lad before a crowd and the one you love. I suppose you were bound to start cracking up eventually the way that soul of yours is acting up. I warned ya lad, you need your rest." Smith point out. "I-It has nothing to do with rest. It's something private that just built up over time and, well, there you go." he replied, letting out an embarrassed groan. "Sorry for putting on a scene like that." he apologized, Smith raising his hand in response. "I was merely working off a bit of that dinner. A hundred years since my last meal and it certainly showed. Thought I'd roam a tad and enjoy the sights of winter on a ship that isn't, well, you know." he point out as Chris wiped his face using the napkin from his own cup, blowing his nose before clearing his throat. "Mr. Rostron has returned to his chambers for the time being to spend time with Mr. Smith, the other Smith with the wounded body at the moment. I've sat around long enough and thought it'd be the better option to see the sights, and it seems my decision led me to the right place at the right time." he chuckled before hovering up to the two.

"You've got questions, and I'd wager the lass has a few answers she'd love to provide." he smiled before looking down at the rabbit. "If you don't mind an old sea dog being your bridge, I'd be happy to provide my services as a translator. Having this form comes with a few surprising advantages." he offered, Rose looking up at him and blinking before nodding with a "s-sure" sound in response. "Very well then, lets hear it lass. Say what's on your mind and I'll repeat it to the lad here. Do be patient with me however as it is just a tad difficult to make out every word you say." he instructed, setting himself down between the two. "I-It might be kinda weird hearing what she says from you, but I guess it'll work." Chris smiled nervously. "Oh pish posh, don't let such a trivial thing concern you lad. Just be a man and listen." Smith scowled, waving his hand before looking at Rose, the rabbit fidgeting shyly before nodding. Taking a deep breath, Rose cleared her throat before beginning her speech as best she could, Smith listening with his eyes closed and arms crossed while repeating her words in Chris's language. "Listen to me Chris..." Smith began translating. "When you said that human abused me after you left me behind, you were right. I did get hurt a lot after we met. That human kept on trying to force me to fight more and more, and the violence got worse the more time passed. When you saved me that first time we met, I was so relieved. The way you stood up for me, the way you held me. From your behavior and touch alone I could tell you were a special human. I could tell that, somehow, things were okay when you were close." he went on translating, pausing when Rose cleared her throat.

"I didn't know what it was back then, but there was something about you that, even with all the misery I felt, somehow made me feel happy. I'll admit, when you left me behind with that human, it made me feel really low. Not only was I trapped with a bad human and hurt everyday, but I had also been left by another human I actually kinda liked. As the days went by, I dragged myself through every minute. Most of the time I was either stuck inside that ball thing, or I was getting hit and yelled at." she admit, sulking while poking her fingers before clearing her throat and continuing, Smith giving her a pat on the back and coaxing her to go easy on her throat before translating once more. "The more time passed, the more miserable I felt. And yet... Despite that, despite you leaving me behind, I still thought a lot about what it felt like meeting you that first time. What it was like having someone protect me for once, to comfort me. I remembered your face and your voice, and how Serenity looked being by your side. And I started figuring that, maybe, it wasn't because you didn't like me that you left me behind. I mean, if you didn't like me or anything, you wouldn't have left me with those doctor humans, right? After all, you took me to a place full of nice humans that made me feel better. I wasn't hurting while I was there. And the more I thought about that, the less I felt sad about you going away. If anything, the more I thought about how things played out that day, the more I started hoping we'd meet again. Even if it meant you'd just protect me and leave like before, I really wanted to feel that kind of sympathy again, that kind of soft touch and warmth I felt the first time we met, even if only for a moment. Next thing I knew, instead of getting depressed when I thought about you, I started feeling hopeful. I felt like one of those humans you see in fluffy clothes that wind up saved by one of those other humans wearing the shiny stuff." she smiled, Smith scratching his cheek with a slight bit of sweat on his face from embarrassment while Chris blinked confused.

"Fluffy clothes and shiny stuff...?" Chris muttered. "A princess and a knight you fool." Smith point out, grumbling in irritation as a slight blush appeared on his face. "A-Ah, that does sound about right." Chris laughed nervously. "T-Told ya it'd be awkward having you talk for her." he added, Smith waving his hand with a "bah!!" in response before telling Rose to continue, the rabbit fidgeting with an embarrassed blush of her own, glancing at Smith nervously. "Oh don't mind me. I don't mind saying this for you in the least lass. I've just never spoken in such a manner before. Kind of reminds me of my wee lass Helen, this folklore talk." he point out, suddenly showing a warm sentimental look in his eyes and a small smile on his face before jolting and coaxing Rose to continue while Chris gave Smith a pat on the back and smiled, the Captain glancing away embarrassed from being caught in a nostalgic moment while performing a duty. Nodding at Smith, Rose cleared her throat and went on. "Yeah, that's what you reminded me of the more I thought about you. Kinda like a knight, someone who would show up when I was in need the most. As time went on, I sometimes thought it would be nice to be saved again by anyone instead of having to wait to see someone I'd probably never find again. But thinking that way just made me sad since you were the first person to care about me enough to do so. I really wanted my hero to be the same one who came to me in the first place. But then we reached the city... Once so many humans were around us, I'd pretty much given up on the thought of seeing you again after I saw so many humans for the first time. There were so many, more than stars in the sky it seemed like, and once I realized just how many there are in the world, and how out of all of them I was thinking I'd see the same one as before again, that thought crushed me inside." she confessed, her ears drooping as she faced down, Smith showing a sympathetic look in his eyes as he glanced down at the rabbit, Chris glancing away with a guilty look on his face, knowing the part she was about to bring up.

"And then, I really made that human mad at me. Since there were so many humans around, I thought it'd be safe for me to go against him. I thought, because there were humans all over the place, at least one of them would have to help me if I tried to escape. So when he tried making me fight again, I found my chance to run away, believing someone would care enough to rescue me, or I could at the very least hide since there was such a big crowd and I was so small. But he was fast, and because of my size and how many humans there were, how loud the crowds were above me, nobody noticed me and he caught up. It wasn't until he started trying to..." Smith paused, Rose standing in silence while holding and rubbing her ear as though she were suddenly unnerved. "You alright? You don't have to talk about that if you don't want to..." Chris coaxed. "Aye, you can make your point well and good without going over every detail." Smith agreed, only for Rose to shake her head before taking a deep breath to relax and brushing her ear back behind her before nodding and looking up at Chris, pushing her raspy voice out once more while Smith listened closely, looking confused for a moment with his hand where his ear would be before grunting in understanding and translating. "Nobody really noticed me until he started hurting me, worse than he ever had before. He was furious and terrifying, and despite the pain he'd caused before, nothing compared to that day. I screamed and screamed, there were so many humans that I thought at least one would stop him. But all they did was watch and back further and further away, pulling out these things to take pictures and stuff. None of the humans did anything to help me, even though I was screaming so much while he beat me again and again... He wouldn't stop, and nobody would do anything to make him stop." she explained.

"It's because of the screaming I did that day and his abuse that I lost most of my voice. Even when he was trying to choke me, I screamed and screamed, even though my throat was already on fire inside... The more he hurt me, the louder I got, the more I panicked and tried to spot somebody coming to save me. Eventually, I finally couldn't scream anymore, my voice was pretty much gone and my body felt like every inch had been crushed because of him. And after he threw me into the road in front of that truck? I looked around one more time... And still nobody was coming to save me. There I was, just laying there, anyone could have come, but all they did was watch as that truck thing got closer and closer to me. They were all too afraid to stop that human, and they were too afraid to save me from getting hit. So... That's when I finally closed my eyes and told myself that was the end, that finding a hero was just a lucky, one time thing. At least if it was the end for me, that meant the pain was over with one way or the other... I was ready for it. Maybe even wanted it, kinda..." she confessed before facing down, Chris letting out a guilty and uncomfortable groan while rubbing his arm while Smith glanced at the two before continuing. "And then..." Smith translated, pausing as Rose looked up at Chris and smiled. "Right at the very end, just as I was giving up the last, tiniest bit of hope I had, right as I accepted everything was over, you saved me again! The one I'd been thinking of, the one I'd been hoping I'd find again, came back!" she nodded. "When all seemed lost, there you were in the nick of time, doing something for me nobody else would. I don't remember too much, but you felt especially warm that day, and the way I felt secure with you was much stronger than when we first met too... And the way you were shining, you really were just like those shiny knight humans on TV!" she point out, a wide grin on her face that caused Chris to blush and face away shyly, despite hearing her words through Smith as the Captain gave him a nudge with a grin of his own.

Continuing to speak in her raspy voice, Smith jolt and cleared his throat before quickly translating once more. "Once everything was over, you took me to get help right away just like the first time we met. And next thing I knew, you were rushing off and doing a bunch of other stuff for my sake too! After continuing to risk your life for me, and for the other Pokemon trapped with that human, you gave us all the option of what we wanted to do, of where we wanted to go. None of us had ever experienced that before. Instead of making us feel indebted to you, instead of claiming us, you gave us the option of where we wanted to go, of what we wanted to do. And that's the moment everything began. You're a human that treats other Pokemon as humans, and that drew me to you. The only thing I'd ever wanted in life was to be equal with others. To have friends, to have a family, and I got all of that thanks to you and the girls!" she affirmed, letting out a quiet giggle. "I uh, I don't giggle I'm afraid." Smith point out with slight sweat on his face. "Y-You don't have to copy that sir." Chris laughed nervously while waving his hand before Rose went on, Smith resuming his task. "I know nothing I say will ever get rid of how you feel about what happened to me with that human completely, but I just want you to know I don't hold anything against you, because thanks to you I was able to find new hope in life, something to dream of and hold onto. The thought of you helped push me through the bad times with that human, and once we were finally together, I managed to gain a life I thought was only possible in my imagination. Everyday with you pushes my time with that human further and further out of my mind, to where the only thing left is happiness and love, experiences I'll treasure forever!" she smiled.

"I fought for you during that match because I wanted to show you my thanks for treating me, not as a Pokemon, but as one of your own kind. You treated me with a kind of respect and tenderness I'd never experienced from anyone before, human or Pokemon, and after seeing the things you do for others, what you did for Serenity before the match, I wasn't just fighting for you. I was fighting for all the humans and Pokemon in the world I knew needed your help. If you would've lost that fight, you'd of been put in prison for who knows how long, and when you think about it... Everyone on this ship would've been dead, and the Captain human here and all those other humans that died would still be trapped at the bottom of the ocean, being tortured and all." Rose point out, Smith blinking at the rabbit before looking at Chris. "Aye lad, the lass has a solid point with that one. I must admit, that's a surprising answer there..." Smith replied while looking back at Rose. "You're in this world for the sake of the greater good of others. There's little you can do imprisoned, but as a free man, you've already proven you've got limitless potential. We do owe you a debt of gratitude lass for keeping this lad away from such an unfortunate fate." he added, giving Rose a grin causing the rabbit to blush and glance away, waving her hand and letting out a raspy "shucks" type of noise before speaking again. "I fought for you, and everyone who needs you out there. And after everything I've seen you do since winning that fight, it makes me feel happier and prouder everyday, because by helping you win, I'm helping more and more lives all the time! And that's a much better feeling than I ever had before we became a family." she affirmed.

"Not only are we always helping people, but I get to finally enjoy a life of peace. I don't have to worry about who I'm going to be forced to face anymore. I can travel around, meet tons of new humans and Pokemon, see who knows how many places, all while being treated so nice by such a special human. You're always saying nice stuff, always putting yourself aside, always being so gentle and kind. You make everyday feel good, and that's all I ever wanted. Being with you is what happiness means to me! Sure we run into trouble like the whole ship thing, but in doing so we get to make lots of other humans and Pokemon as happy as we are. What others experience by being near you, me and the girls get to experience every second of everyday, and I just feel lucky to be with you. I always will, because by being by your side I have a life full of purpose, of appreciation, even though I'm not the fighting type, and that's the greatest thing I could've ever asked for. I suffered a lot before we came together, and sure, it would've been nice if you hadn't left me behind that first time we met, but when you think about it, maybe it was better that way when you consider everything that happened because of it, the lives that were changed in the end and everything... Thinking about that human is painful, what happened to me, in a way, it's like I can still feel the torture. But that's why we should work together so both of us can forget about it and move on towards a happier future. Just like when we went through recovery at the lab, we should focus on each other now and help push away those bad feelings and memories together. You shouldn't try to make me forget the bad stuff while it stays bottled up inside you. I wanna help you feel better too, so from now on, lets both do our best to make sure neither of us have to feel bad because of that human, okay?" Rose asked through Smith, the Captain jolting and hovering back when Rose held her hand out towards Chris, not wanting to be in their way as they shook hands before him.

"Oh aye, that's lovely that is." Smith grinned with his arms crossed, watching as the two smiled at each other. "I'm sorry for letting myself get so down and all Rose, really hope this whole mess hasn't made you feel like your date with me was ruined." he apologized, the rabbit shaking her head in response before waving at Smith. "Oh? More to say lass?" he asked, Rose nodding before clearing her throat and speaking. "What's up sir?" Chris asked, the Captain smirking in response. "The lass say's the whole thing actually made the date all the better in her opinion. All she wanted was some quiet time with you, a chance to bond more since you're always having to fret over the other lass's under normal circumstances. Say's she couldn't think of a better way to spend a moment with you." he chuckled, Chris blinking in surprise and muttering "r-really?" before looking at Rose and laughing nervously. "D-Don't suppose we could keep all the emotions a little secret? If the others found out about the way I was bawling out here, especially Alicia, I'd never hear the end of it." he point out, Rose giggling and crossing her chest with a hand up. "Well lad, hate to burst yer bubble there but lets not forget you've got a duo on board that's always somewhere keeping an eye on you. I'd say it's a safe bet that the moment has been preserved in some form or another." the Captain reminded causing Chris to jolt before looking around and sulking. "Ah man... That's gonna ruin the macho image." he muttered, Rose reaching up and patting him on the back with a "there there" kind of noise. "Well, if my job here is finished, permission to bid you adieu?" Smith asked, the two looking at one another before nodding in response.

"You're an awesome man Mr. Smith. After everything you and all the other spirits here have endured, you deserve to finally rest and enjoy yourselves. But instead of spending what time you've got left here in our world doing that, you and your crew are continuing to work for others. That's nothing short of admirable." Chris point out, shaking the Captain's hand. "Oh nonsense lad. In serving others that's exactly how we find our happiness. By bringing a smile to others faces, by providing the finest service for the most unforgettable experiences. When you spend your time making those around you forget their woes, it makes ones soul feel rather cozy inside. We've all missed being able to see such lively faces. After so long, being able to offer my services in such manners is a thrill, just as with Mr. Wallace and his band finally finding the opportunity to share their delightful performances with those around them. Our joy comes from the satisfaction of others. If those around us are happy, then so are we. And if I may, I'd say we've done a pretty good job, for both you and countless others on this ship." Smith point out, looking at Rose as she grinned and nodded before they looked around at the other people and Pokemon walking about, admiring the snow while accompanied by countless Yamask, some holding umbrellas while others delivered cocoa from the stand. "In that sense, despite our forms we're still one in the same lad. We live for others, for the sake of bringing smiles to whomever we can, whenever we can, and that in turn fills us with energy, with life. You know the exact feeling, am I right?" Smith asked with a smirk, Chris looking at him before facing those around them and smirking himself with a nod. "Yeah, it does feel pretty good knowing you've done something to make someone's life better. After everything that's happened, I bet they'll have a new appreciation for being in this world not many get to experience." he point out before finishing his cocoa and throwing the cup in a nearby bin, turning back only for Rose to suddenly jump up, catching Chris off guard and causing him to panic while catching the rabbit, dropping his staff to do so while Rose giggled and held him tightly.

"G-Geez Rose!! Don't do that!!" he lectured, nearly dropping Rose the same as his staff and letting out a sigh of relief. "You got any idea how I would've felt if you busted something? I'm not much of a catcher ya know. Lord knows you've seen my pitching to say the least." he point out, the rabbit poking her fingers with an apologetic "sorry" noise in response. Seeing this, Chris shook his head before smiling nervously. "F-Forget about it. The startle aside, it was cute of you I guess. Just try not to give me that kind of surprise too often. I could bust something too considering were standing on snow and ice here!" he chuckled before reaching down and grabbing his staff while continuing to hold the rabbit. "Aye, you do make a lovely couple." Smith point out with a smile. "Never thought I'd see the day such a relationship wouldn't have an awkward sense to it, but when it comes to you and those young ladies, I must admit it's like looking at any other family. It's really not far fetched at all to say at one point such a thing was common in our long history of roaming this world." Smith chuckled, pausing when he saw Chris snickering and trying not to laugh. "Er, did I say something amusing I'm not aware of?" the Captain asked. "Heh, far fetched, get it?" Chris asked, Smith blinking at him before slumping with a groan. "That's terrible lad. You really must stop trying to be funny..." he replied. "Aw come on! You know that's hilarious! Right?" Chris asked, grinning at Rose only for the rabbit to show a blank "no..." expression on her face, sending a slight chill down Chris's spine. "H-Harsh..." he muttered before letting out a sigh and sulking. "I'm sorry lad, some blokes have it, while others don't. And uh, do beg your pardon but you really, really don't." Smith point out, Rose unable to resist nodding in agreement.

Looking at Smith, she told him something causing the Captain to snicker before covering his mouth. "I doubt there's anyone in this world my dear. But there's something to be said for a lad with that kind of faith." he replied, Rose giggling causing Chris to look at the two before scowling. "Hey hey! What's this about?" he asked, looking at the two in irritation causing both to glance away innocently, neither wanting to tell him what Rose revealed about Chris thinking he'd find people who liked his humor. "Oh, never you mind lad. Know that I can appreciate your beliefs and leave it at that." Smith affirmed, giving him a pat on the back before facing away and snickering once more making Chris growl. "I-I uh, best be on my way. You two have a lovely evening." Smith said with a wave before hovering off, leaving Chris with an agitated look. Facing Rose, the rabbit looked away and whistled innocently once more before letting out a "what? I haven't done anything?" kind of sound and shrugging with a smile. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you two were laughing at me." he scowled, the rabbit waving her hands with a "pssshhh, naaaaw" kind of noise and patting him on the head. Looking at her for a moment, Chris squint his eyes, giving her a suspicious look causing Rose to look away and sweat slightly with a nervous laugh, poking her fingers until Chris let out a sigh and shook his head. "Alright, alright. I'll let that one go." he said before grumbling "Whatever it was I'm letting go of..." and setting the rabbit down. Looking around, Chris took a deep breath before letting out a relaxed sigh. "You know, think I'll get me another cup, stuff was good." he chuckled before walking off to the nearby stand and making an order, leaving Rose for a moment allowing her to let out a sigh of relief with the subject now behind them.

Once he returned, Chris took a sip of his second helping of cocoa and let out a relieved sigh. "I needed this." he chuckled. "I'll admit, all the activity has left me a little worn out. Everything that happened today, everything after... I won't deny it has taken its toll on me." he chuckled before jolting and looking down at Rose. "D-Don't repeat that to anyone though! I've been having to tell folks all night that I'm alright... Although having to do that has tired me out a bit too." he groaned, the rabbit tilting her head. "But don't you worry, I've still got enough left in me to see our date through." he assured before looking around. "That's another reason I'm kinda glad we went with your idea. It's a lot more laid back than what I had in mind and it gave me a great chance to both, make you happy and take a breather. It also reminded me how much different you are than the others. What works for Serenity and Alicia isn't really your thing so... It made me remember another reason you should be appreciated." he smiled warmly, causing Rose to face down and blush shyly with a nod. "Well, that and our discussion of course. I admit I tend to get so caught up with those two so much it's easy to lose track of the things I should appreciate most. I wanna make it clear though that, no matter what, I'm always here for you, just like them. Even if I get caught up in their drama, never forget I love you just the same as them, like I told you girls about the whole equal thing in the room. I might seem preoccupied a lot because of their antics, but that doesn't mean you're forgotten or anything. In fact, because of that I need you in my life. You're the only thing I've got to balance out the chaos those two cause. It's like I've told you before, who you are and all, that's what makes you so special because you provide someone for me to turn to, someone I can talk about anything with and know I don't have to worry about what I say." he nodded before showing a nervous look. "Heck, can you imagine how it'd turn out if I talked in such a way to them? They'd rub it in each others faces until there wasn't any skin left." he point out, the description causing Rose to show an uncomfortable look.

"S-Sorry, but you get the point. I'd hate to admit it, but neither Serenity nor Alicia, despite her belief otherwise, have the same maturity you've got. In fact, I doubt they ever will, and that makes you really stand out. Not that that's a bad thing... Despite how they behave, I still wouldn't change a thing about them. They're special and bring me happiness in their own ways, but you... I can guarantee what sets you apart from those two is something a lot of others have noticed too, and that alone makes me proud of you. I've also said this before, that being if the world was more like you, we'd all probably find the peace we're looking for." he chuckled, Rose looking at him wide eyed and showing yet another embarrassed blush on her face. "Their personalities and behaviors, the girls I mean, it makes them a handful. It wears me out a lot, being honest. But the way they are keeps me fit and alert at least, they fill each moment with surprises and excitement, and it's nice to know that when I need a break from it all, when I need something like this, I've got you by my side to enjoy that downtime with." he smiled before squatting, setting his staff down before rubbing her on the head. "Thank you, Rose. You picked out the perfect date for us." he praised causing the rabbits eyes to widen more before quickly jumping back and waving her hands, letting out a panicked and raspy "th-that's enough!!" noise in response, facing away and fidgeting while Chris stood with a grin. "That's all I wanted to say really, I'm done." he nodded, Rose looking up at him before putting a hand on her chest and sighing. "Well gee, did it sound that corny?" he asked, causing Rose to jolt and rapidly shake her head. "Kidding, kidding." he teased bending over and picking up his staff, giving Rose a poke on the cheek in the process before raising back up.

Letting out a sigh of his own, Chris looked up as the snow continued to fall. "It still isn't stopping. It's kinda weird really, ever since it began the stuff has come down at the exact same pace. Hasn't picked up or slacked off. It kinda has this weird stillness to it, this weird kind of peace but, at the same time, something else." he point out, Rose tilting her head and looking up as well causing several flakes to fall on her face and nose. Watching the snow for a moment and feeling the cold flakes on his face, Chris looked towards the mound of snow where the statue was, his face and eyes showing a slightly somber look as he started thinking about something making Rose show a worried look, walking up and giving his sleeve a tug causing Chris to jolt. "A-Ah, sorry about that." he apologized, nodding at her before looking at the mound of snow again. "All this snow and that pile there just reminded me of some pretty sad stuff I learned while I was down there on the wreckage. I... Want to do something to preserve everything the way it deserves. The ship, everyone's stories and all. Everything the world knows now is a lie. And who knows what will happen when the truth comes out. I want to make sure everything and everyone is protected. It's not gonna be easy though." he sighed, Rose tilting her head before smiling and leaning against him. Looking down at her, Chris smiled slightly before looking towards the darkness ahead of the bow. "There's something else I've been thinking about since everything happened with the Gyarados, but I haven't been able to think of the right way or time to talk about it." he revealed, Rose blinking at him and letting out a curious noise in response.

"I know how you girls feel about me. How important you think I am and all. I know a life without me is a thought that scares you, and up to this point I'd actually still thought it might not be such a bad thing if something did happen to me down the line. You girls wouldn't be in danger anymore. But the thing is, you'd be left alone, lost and all. You probably wouldn't know what to do or where to go if something happened, and even if I did have something set up for you girls as a backup plan, it still wouldn't guarantee you'd be as happy as when I was with you. And that made me start thinking about what the professor said again too." he point out, Rose showing even more of a bewildered look, slight concern in her expression as well. Looking down at her, Chris went silent for a moment before looking back out into the distance. "When I was down there on the wreckage, I met this couple who was expecting a baby. When the accident happened, they both died and their baby never had the chance to be born. Because of this, after they passed away they had to spend all that time without their child, the baby they should've been entitled to. And it made me think of how you girls would feel if I died without..." he explained, pausing while scratching his cheek nervously. "That is..." he added, having a difficult time as Rose listened silently. "You girls think so much of me, and back in the city, I remember that time Serenity held that egg when it hatched. I don't really know how you and Alicia feel about this subject, but Serenity has shown she'd really like to have an egg of her own. Actually, she'd made it obvious. And since the professor said it might be possible for me to make that happen..." he paused again, growing all the more nervous as Rose slowly went wide eyed and blushed, watching as he tugged his collar.

"I uh, I've been re-thinking some things. Even though there's a lot of risks involved with anyone having an egg in them right now, I don't think it'd be impossible to keep the eggs safe with enough effort. And uh, y-you know, o-once they're out and all... I could get something nice to keep em' safe in." he struggled, tugging his collar more with a flush on his face. "A-Anyways, p-point is, i-if you girls are interested, l-leaving you with s-something like that to remember me by, j-just in case... I-I mean if you want..." he tried to offer, facing away in humiliation as Rose seemingly glowed and faced away as well, fidgeting in response to the suggestion. "I-I'm sorry for bringing it up out of the blue. But... I thought I should make sure you girls had something really special to remember me by, a part of me, something that would give you some kinda extra purpose in life, some direction in case I was ever gone. And I just, kinda figured..." he paused, thinking about John Astor and his wife again causing his flustered state to fade and a somber look to return to his face. "I just... Don't want to die and leave you girls all alone without any other family. I can find people to take you in, but to leave you with nobody of your own kind, your own blood, to leave you without any kids or anything when I had the chance to make that happen for you, I want to make sure that, even if I'm not with you, you've still got someone that really needs you besides each other, someone who would need you as much as I do. So if you think you'd want... I'd like to try." he offered, the rabbit remaining silent as she fidget with the brightest flush on her face. "If it makes you uncomfortable at all, if it's not something you think you'd wholeheartedly want, then don't worry about it. I just wanted to make it known that, after some thinking, the offer's there now." he affirmed, Rose continuing to face away with her back to him.

"S-Sorry again for it coming up out of the blue. I figured if I was gonna bring it up, a time like this and with someone who could handle it without making a sudden decision one way or the other was best. Is that... Relying on you a bit too much?" he asked, Rose finally giving him a response, albeit silent as she shook her head. "Well, that's one way to ask a female to bear your offspring." he suddenly heard Ninetales echo in his mind causing Chris to jolt in surprise. "N-Now you come out?" he thought. "I'd been resting. I cannot help the fact that when I choose to speak it's when you're blundering. You seem to do that constantly, so it's difficult to speak with you during a moment you're not making a fool of yourself." she replied, causing the sensation of getting a hammer on the head to run through Chris. "S-Same as ever with you too I see." he thought with a scowl. "That aside, the reason I'm bothering to speak at the moment revolves this little change of heart you've had. Don't you think your changing your mind rather abruptly? Not only is your method of requesting such a thing awkward at best, but it's far too sudden as well in my opinion. You've been rather firm in your belief that offspring would bring about complications you're ill prepared for. How certain are you that you're prepared in a mere days time? Shouldn't more thought than a few hours be necessary for such a decision?" she asked, causing Chris to go silent for a moment. "I-I dunno. My mind and feelings are kinda all over the place right now. It's just, after everything I saw, it basically forced me to think about things I'd been trying to keep locked away in the back of my mind. And it made me feel like I've been a little selfish, kinda inconsiderate is all. It's not like what I just said is wrong you know." he point out, Ninetales going silent in response.

"I do go through some pretty tough stuff, and I've been on the brink, what, three? Four times now or more? Even with you inside me, there's no way my luck will hold out forever no matter who I've got helping me out. With that in mind, it's not hard to see why I'd change my way of thinking so fast, right?" he asked. "I might not be around as long as them, in fact, it kinda feels like I can guarantee it. So the least I could do is make sure they've got a special part of me with them whenever my time comes, something that can give them reason enough to live and be happy even if I'm not around. Just telling them I'm too busy and we deal with too much to have kids, it feels kinda wrong the more I've thought about it. If anything, the Andersson family taught me that, no matter what's happening in your life, you've always got time for your kids. There's always a way to make them feel safe and happy, even during the worst of times... I guess it's a matter of wanting to live up to others too. I don't want to see what so many went through just to keep being a coward myself. I wanna be someone like Mr. Andersson who can do for my family what he did for his. I wanna be more willing to handle that kind of responsibility." he point out before looking at Rose once more. "I still think it's a rather abrupt change of heart. This is an extraordinary issue you're talking about. One that alters one's life. And lets not forget, you're in no position to alter yours. That's up to me." she point out, causing Chris to jolt and show an infuriated look before shouting her name aloud, his right to bear children being controlled making him snap causing everyone around him including Rose jump in surprise, both she and the crowd looking at Chris with "wha...?" expressions making him freeze up before quickly apologizing and turning away from Rose and facing down silently with his fists clenched, the rabbit tilting her head bewildered.

"Excuse me? How dare you respond to me in such a disrespectful tone? After giving you as much as I have, you have the gall to speak to me in such a manner?" Ninetales asked. "Don't forget what I've done for you up to this point. Your family, the wealth you carry, the power, all are thanks to me. Be grateful I've given you this much." she affirmed. "I could've made you live alone, taking on the brunt of your fate without a soul in the world by your side, penniless even. I could've allowed you to live a miserable existence. Yet did I?" she asked. "I've spent many a year tending to your needs, a task which began long before you were born. I did that out of the generosity of my heart. So don't you dare disrespect me. Arrogance will get you nothing. It will only make you lose...!!!" Ninetales went on, only to freeze abruptly when Chris suddenly appeared before her in his mind, his enraged expression having returned and tears streaming causing Ninetales eyes to widen in surprise. "How dare you...?" Chris asked, Ninetales stepping back as he walked up to her. "You cursed me, someone who had absolutely nothing to do with you, because my grandfather saved your life. All because he grabbed one of your precious tails to do so. You forced me into the role of a slave just because you wanted to live up to some expectation. Some stupid FABLE. You're talking to ME about being arrogant?! I've lived my life based on your whims because your life was SAVED! Even after we met, I kept living my life the way you wanted!" he point out, Ninetales gritting her teeth. "That's because you don't have a...!!" she tried to reply. "A choice!? I know I don't have a choice!! I'm just a slave, right?! If I don't obey, you'll just wipe me away and take over my body, right?!" he interrupted, continuing to walk up to her making the fox stumble back against the tree in his mind.

"Who the hell are you to ever call anyone arrogant?! I've called what you did to me a blessing, I've even called you a mother!! What kind of person or Pokemon, no matter who they are or what type they might be, talks to someone who calls them that the way you have?!" he asked, Ninetales opening her mouth only for Chris to continue. "I've shown you plenty of thanks. I've shown you constant appreciation. You control me, yes. You control my life, fine. But don't you DARE think you've got any right to control whether or not I have kids!! NOBODY has that right!!" he affirmed, pointing at Ninetales in the face. "If you ever try to influence that right to suit your whims, so help me I'll fight you out of my body one way or another. Don't you EVER cross that line with me!!" he warned, Ninetales sitting against the tree in silence with her mouth agape. "You're so called generosity was the LEAST you could do for me!! And you know WHY you did what you did? Because you know what you've done to me was a mistake!! You know what you've done to me was wrong!! And the ONLY reason you treat me like trash most of the time is so you can hide your own guilt!! What you've done for me is your attempt at an apology, your attempt at fessing up and giving yourself the right to talk and act towards me the way you do without having to admit your regrets!! I've looked past things revolving you for the most part because, yeah, I have had a pretty nice life. I am grateful for having the girls with me! I'm grateful for my wealth! And believe it or not, I do my best to be grateful towards you!" he affirmed. "But so help me... If you EVER talk like you have any power over me having a child again, I don't care what you've done for me. YOU'LL be the one disowned Ninetales!! YOU'LL be the one living a miserable and lonely existence!! I'LL abandon YOU!!" he affirmed. "Just like you made my parents abandon me..." he added before lowering his finger and turning away, taking a moment to relax himself before letting out a sigh.

"...I'm not saying you haven't done a lot to try making up for your mistake. But you've got to realize your attitude hurts yourself way more than anyone else. You're powerful, insanely powerful. Physically you beat me by an infinite degree. But inside, in here, you're nowhere near as strong as you might think. Rooting yourself in my body is one thing, but as long as I've got my heart, I've got more control than you know. And I don't want to use that control against you because, despite what you've done to me, I do my best to care about you. To appreciate you like I said. I would've been another ordinary guy, another everyday trainer or something if it weren't for you. By living under your influence, I've obtained a life that, despite your attitude towards me, I'm truly thankful for from the bottom of my heart. And despite how you just set me off, I still want you in my life, to be as thankful for you, for knowing you, as I am for the girls. I don't want to push any of them away, and I don't want to push you away. But you have to make it easier for me to build a bridge between us so it doesn't come to that. There's more than enough room inside me for the both of us, I want you by my side the same as them, so don't turn it into a battleground for control in here Ninetales, please." he said with sincerity. "You do some really nice things for me, for us, from time to time. You've had my back when I've needed it most. But what's the point of doing all that if you've no intention of giving your all to change in the process? Are you just going to keep doing good deeds, thinking it wipes away the bad you've done if your attitude stays the same? Doing good is a whole different thing than actually being good. If you're a horrible person towards others, it doesn't matter how many good things you try to do. You'll just cause yourself more and more misery because the ones you help won't be able to appreciate it, and it'll be your own fault." he point out.

"Thank you, for saving me, the girls, the ship and all. Thanks for the family, for the money... But tell me, do my thanks mean anything to you? Do you feel anything when I say it? Or do you just feel empty and indifferent?" he asked, the fox sitting silently before slowly facing down. "What I just said came right from the heart. I really do mean it when I say thank you. But you can't feel anything from hearing it because you've done good things, yet remained the same distant person you've always been. Shut up in your own closet of sorts to where you don't even know how to react towards others anymore. And it's because of that you made the mistake of cursing me without reaching into your heart first, isn't that right?" he asked, Ninetales remaining silent. "You just knew your kind cursed any and all who dared touch your supposed sacred tails no matter the reason without hesitation and acted on that teaching. You reacted using your mind and not your heart, and when you finally started using your heart, that's when everything got out of control inside you and you decided to do what you have for me. But... You still don't understand why you're doing it deep down, do you?" Chris asked, Ninetales continuing to remain silent before closing her eyes and letting out a sigh. "You sound just like that damn human..." she replied, shaking her head. "Offspring never fall far from the tree which bore their seed." she added before facing up, Chris looking at her before glancing away. "If you're talking about grandpa, I'll take that as a compliment." he replied as Ninetales stood. "If you're through venting, would you be on your way? I'm still weary from all that activity earlier and you're making me feel even more fatigued." she point out, Chris facing her for a moment before nodding.

About to turn away from the fox, he suddenly jolt and looked at his arm as it moved about on its own before everything around him blurred and warped until Rose and the snow around them on the ship came back into view, his eyes in reality turning from hazy to clear as he blinked and shook his head. "H-Huh?" he muttered before looking at Rose again, the rabbit tugging on his sleeve in a panicked state. "E-Easy there! I'm fine, I'm fine." he assured, coaxing her back before letting out a groan and rubbing his head. Continuing to panic, Rose stood in front of him and tugged at his coat. "C-Calm down! I was just... Having a moment with Ninetales." he explained, tapping his forehead. "I-In fact, we kinda just had our first fight." he added, looking up at his forehead before scowling in irritation. "I made my point though, and that's all that matters." he affirmed with a grunt and a nod, Rose blinking at him and tilting her head. "Bah... There's just some things in life a man refuses to let anyone, no matter who they are, control. And a man will do whatever it takes to defend those things. That's all." he point out, the rabbit tilting her head before nodding with an "o-okay" noise in response. Looking down at her, he smiled nervously before telling her it'd be best if he explained the whole situation, offering to walk along the deck while doing so until she was caught up to speed with his moment revolving Ninetales. As he repeat everything and walked along, Ninetales relaxed beneath the tree within his mind, resting her chin on the grass before opening her eyes and raising her head, looking up at the bright emptiness above. "Only two beings have ever stood before me in such a manner and spoken so boldly. How comical..." she chuckled.

Looking around herself, she rest her chin on the grass once more. "He reminds me of you, huh?" she added, repeating her words to herself and showing a small smile. "You old fool." she added, closing her eyes and letting out a yawn. "Of all the things you had to pass down, it had to be that same smug and foolish nature. I do believe I've cursed myself, winding up stuck with another you." she continued before opening her eyes again, a strangely teary look in them. "Foolish as you were, I do miss you." she admit before chuckling and shutting her eyes as a breeze blew over her. "Letting another human speak to me like that. I'm really going soft, aren't I?" she asked before showing a smirk. "Then again, I suppose such a haughty attitude should be expected. He's had me in here influencing him all these years. Perhaps he gets it from me as well..." she admit before chuckling again. "He's learning how to stand up for himself rather well. To think he was such a timid cub." she smirked with a nostalgic look in her eyes. "Humans... They age so quickly. Perhaps too quickly..." she finished before shutting her eyes and dozing off. Back in reality, Chris was finishing up his explanation with Rose, the rabbit facing down shyly and blushing as he let out a sigh. "And that's pretty much the gist of it. I don't care about her controlling my life in most ways since it helps others and brought me to you girls, but I'm not about to let anybody tell me I don't have the right to have kids." Chris affirmed, crossing his arms with another grunt and a nod. Continuing to face down, Rose was silent as she looked at her stomach, giving it a rub for a moment before showing a small smile, pondering the idea until looking up at Chris and tugging his sleeve. "Eh?" he replied, looking down at her as she turned to him and rubbed her stomach again. "D-Did the chocolate make you sick?" he asked before squatting and feeling her stomach himself. "Sorry about that. I got so caught up in that spat with her I wasn't paying you much attention." he apologized while Rose watched him feel her stomach, rubbing it tenderly causing the picture of him doing so with an egg inside to run through the rabbits mind, sending a blush across her face before giggling and shaking her head, putting her hands over his. "Am I making it worse?" he asked while looking at her.

Shaking her head again, Rose guided his hand down to her lower torso where her eggs were and held his hand in place, giving him a warm smile and nodding, trying to give him a sign of approval as best she could. Tilting his head, Chris looked at his hand for a moment before looking at her smiling face again. "You... Want a baby?" he asked, Rose grinning with an excited nod causing Chris to jolt wide eyed and flush. "Y-You sure? N-No foolin'?" he asked, Rose nodding again before guiding his hand over her heart and giving him a soft kiss making Chris freeze up until she pulled away, leaving his lips puckered as he fell back with a plop and sat blinking in surprise making Rose laugh from his reaction, the tables having turned as she point at his expression. Taking a deep breath, the rabbit ceased her laughter, wiping a tear from her eye before looking around, noticing the entrance to the ship nearby they came out of and pointing it out while Chris stood back up, patting the snow off his behind. "...Wanna go back in huh?" he asked before looking at the time on his Pokedex. "Guess it is pretty late now. Plus it keeps getting colder with the sun gone." he nodded, putting the device away and feeling his nose. "Surprised I don't look like that Rudolph character." he muttered before Rose took his hand with a smile, tugging it and pointing toward the entrance again. "A-Alright, alright. We're going." he nodded with a nervous smile. Making their way inside, Chris took a deep breath and sighed in relief, suddenly letting out a sneeze and rubbing his nose. "Gah, gonna have to be more careful until I get used to the change in atmosphere." he muttered. Making their way along, they looked at what passengers and Pokemon were left walking about, most having gone off to bed leaving countless Yamask to roam in the empty space, the spirits noticing Chris and bowing their heads in appreciation with warm smiles.

"They're all free now..." he muttered, Rose looking up at him and tilting her head before the two stopped when a group of Yamask noticed them and hovered up. "Lets see here." Chris said, counting out the Yamask and nodding. "The Andersson family, right?" he asked, the group nodding and smiling in response. "Just the people I wanted to see! I was hoping to find the chance to thank you before you all left." he chuckled, the spirits looking at one another before facing him and tilting their heads curiously. "Thanks to you folks, I've decided to look past my fears, to grow up a little. My life is full of chaos, we're always on the move, and we never know what kind of troubles we'll face next. Because of that, I took it upon myself to decide I wouldn't have kids. But... After seeing your family, I realized how selfish that decision was. Despite the troubles you faced, the challenges, you still gave it your all to give your kids a good life. Until the very end you put your family before yourselves, and because of that I've decided I want to be more like you sir, and you, ma'am." he explained, Mr. and Mrs. Andersson looking at one another and grinning. "Even though I still don't know what troubles lie ahead, I've decided to give it my all to have and raise kids of my own with the ones I love. It's wrong of me to do things only if and when it's convenient for me. Life shouldn't be that way, and I want to be more like the two of you and live up to the same standards for my own family. To prove myself as capable, as reliable as the two of you despite the situations we face. If I'm a man, I should be able to handle having kids no matter what's going on in our lives, right?" he asked, the two parents nodding in agreement, Mr. Andersson letting out a deep grunt and patting his chest with his fist causing his wife to roll her eyes with a "you men..." type of noise.

Chuckling, Chris held out his hand, offering to shake theirs with a smile. "Thanks for the inspiration, and not just you, but your family as well." he point out, facing the smaller Yamask. "You're the bravest kids I'll probably ever know. You faced your fates head on by your parents side, together as one, and even after the end of your lives as humans, you've continued living beside your parents, doing your best to support one another through so many years. While inside the Captain's memories, I saw a lot of stuff revolving you guys. And that, on top of how much you helped me out down on the wreck... Whenever I do finally have kids, I hope they can be at least half as great as you." he grinned, causing the young spirits to react in a flustered manner, their parents laughing and patting Chris on the back. Looking at them, Chris nodded before backing away as they gathered before him again. "When my turn to be a parent comes, I promise to do my best to raise my kids up to be like yours, and I'll be proud to tell the world that it was you and your story that motivated me to become the best father I could be." he nodded, causing them all to grin from the flattery. "Johan, Alfrida, Elisabeth and Constanzia, Ebba and little Elias, thank you... Thank you so much, Andersson family." he said with a bow, the spirits blinking at him in surprise. Watching him, Rose looked at the spirits before walking up next to Chris and bowing as well, causing the Andersson's to wave their hands and let out "q-quite alright!" sounds in response as the two straightened up, looking at the spirits as they grinned at one another and nodded at the two. "I couldn't have a better family as my inspiration. I have legends to live up to, and I'll do my best not to let you down." Chris affirmed with a thumbs up, Mr. and Mrs. Andersson nodding in response before looking at one another and holding up their thumbs curiously and giving him a thumbs up back.

After this, they bid one another farewell, Chris and Rose watching as the spirits went on their way, the kids flying ahead causing Mr. and Mrs. Andersson to lecture the bunch for doing so. "So weird, people just keep popping up outta the blue tonight. And they managed to show up right at the perfect time." Chris point out before shrugging and turning towards the nearby corridor. Continuing along, Rose was about to follow only to notice someone sticking out from behind a nearby pillar. Tilting her head, she walked up to the object and checked behind it, finding Captain Smith in a frozen state, sweating nervously with his eyes tightly shut. Letting out a curious noise, Rose poked him on the side, causing the Captain to jolt and open an eye, peeking down at her. "I-I uh..." he stuttered, opening his other eye and glancing away. "Th-That is, I was merely..." he added nervously, the rabbit tilting her head before Smith groaned and let out a sigh, his hands slumped at his sides. "It appears I've been caught. I never was one for hiding." he confessed before turning to her, Rose letting out a curious "what are you doing?" type of sound causing Smith to scratch his cheek embarrassed. "It uh, it was I who summoned the Andersson family. Once we parted ways, I thought it worthwhile to stick around in the shadows and keep an ear open. Chris panicked while stumbling forward, the Captain letting out a sigh of relief and wiping the sweat off his forehead as the two disappeared into the corridor, only to freeze when he noticed passengers looking at him curiously, showing a nervous smile in response and waving with a "h-hello there." while some of the Yamask float up, questioning him making the Captain all the more nervous before excusing himself and leaving the lobby, flying his way up the stairs leaving everyone behind blinking in bewilderment, shrugging at one another before going about their business. In the lobby, Chris and Rose were strolling along, looking at the lights of the ship and the decor around them. "You know, with the others I hadn't really taken the time to actually look at this place. I'm always kept so preoccupied I never found the time to really admire too much. This place really is top class now that I'm able to appreciate it better. Even after all the rockin' and rollin' we went through, this thing held together pretty well." he point out as they passed various crew members as they cleaned up random plants that had tipped and rolled about.

Once they neared the door to Chris's room, he let out a sigh and shook his head. "Man, gonna hate seeing what they did to the place, I just know it." he muttered, Rose looking up at him and tilting her head as they got closer before pausing before it. "I wonder... How I should go about telling them my feelings. Serenity would flip her top no matter how I said it, but Alicia, man. I've got a feeling no matter how I word things she'll leave a mark on my face. That or they knocked each other out." he sighed before facing the door. "Or uh, they're dead." he added, Rose showing a panicked look on her face and tugging his sleeve. "R-Relax! A joke! Just joking!" he assured with a nervous laugh, Rose giving him a worried "that's not funny!" look in response. "S-Sorry." he apologized, scratching his cheek with slight sweat on his face while glancing away. "W-Well, lets see how things turned out." he added before trying to open the door, finding it locked. "H-Huh? They fixed it?" he muttered before taking out his card. "For the sake of privacy I'd say good." he nodded while unlocking the door and stepping inside. Looking around, the room wasn't in too bad of a shape, although pillows and cushions had been strewn throughout the room from the bed and furniture while various decor had been knocked around.

Letting out a groan, he suddenly jolt and quickly hurried to the fireplace, checking all of the figures atop the mantle before letting out a sigh of relief and clutching his chest. "At least they've got respect for these." he muttered while Rose walked in and started picking things up, adjusting cushions back on the furniture and placing pillows on the bed. "O-Oh, those pillows go..." Chris point out, about to help her put things in the right place only to pause when he stood by the bed next to her, noticing the two weren't there. "S-Say, you seen either of them?" he asked, walking around the bed to check the floor. Blinking curiously, he reached for the light switch, illuminating the balcony revealing the furniture had been knocked about and the snow was stirred up as if they'd taken the fight to the balcony, this sight causing Chris to turn pale as his eyes widened. "G-Girls?" he muttered, opening the balcony and rushing outside, noticing the snow on the railing had been disturbed as well, a part of it bent likely from being rammed into. Going into a panic attack, he began repeating "oh my God" rapidly while leaning over the railing and looking around before shouting their names. Hearing this, Rose jolt and rushed towards the balcony herself, only to freeze when she heard a noise coming from the bathroom nearby. While Chris frantically took out his Pokedex and began dialing, the rabbit faced the bathroom and tilt her head before walking towards the entrance, pausing when she felt the carpet turning wet beneath her feet. Squinting her eyes, she couldn't make out much in the darkened room, lit only by the feint rays coming from the balcony light. Noticing a shadowy mound, she faced the wall and felt her way around before finally finding the switch. Flipping it on, the lights flashed before slowly fading on, revealing Alicia tangled up against the wall, Serenity caught upside down inside her clumsy looking coil. Showing a bewildered look, Rose jolt when she remembered Chris and rushed to the balcony, tugging on the back of his coat as he spoke to someone on the line in a hysterical state. Getting no response, she continued pulling on his coat until backing away and running into his side, causing him to nearly drop his Pokedex into the sea, "Wh-Wh-WHAT?!!" he shout, Rose giving a "finally" reaction as she sighed and motioned towards the bathroom, Chris noticing she'd turned on the light. Looking back over the railing, he told the person on the line to hang on as he followed the rabbit inside. Once he saw the two in the bathroom, Chris went wide eyed and lost all strength in his legs, slumping to the floor and clutching his chest. "N-Never mind, f-found them. In the bathroom..." he said before closing his Pokedex and letting out a groan, clutching his chest again in relief. "I'm gonna have a heart attack..." he sighed, jolting when he felt the wetness on the floor seeping into his pants. Quickly getting up, he rubbed the carpet with his hand before looking at the wet tiles in the bathroom. "The hell did they do?" he muttered, looking at how they were positioned before him. Curious, Rose walked up behind him, poking her head out from behind as he shook his head with a scowl. "Looks like they got the floors so wet they came in here and slipped all over one another. It's a step I guess..." he added, poking them again and calling for the two to get up, only for Rose to tug his sleeve again. "What's wrong? I told you they'll be fine." he affirmed, only for the rabbit to shake her head and start tugging the back of his coat, motioning towards the entrance. Raising an eyebrow, Chris looked at the two and sighed before responding with an "alright, alright." and following Rose back into the other room, the rabbit smiling while closing the bathroom door behind them. "So what's the problem?" he asked, blinking when he saw the door shut. "S-Shouldn't we get them off the floor? They'll probably wind up sick if we leave em' like that." he point out, the rabbit waving and letting out a raspy "it's fine, it's fine!" noise and grinning.

"I-I dunno. The floor's all wet in there too, that's especially bad for Alicia..." he replied nervously, only for Rose to give the same response before tugging his sleeve, having him follow her to the bedside.
