Hey everyone, just wanted to clear a few things up, this is a F.N.A.F. A/U which includes some O/Cs, including my Foxy replacement Wolfie, as for reason stated in the original A/U chapter. Now, this chapter, really had NOTHING I repeat NOTHING to do with the previous ones. I’m just practising with this world and its characters, trying to get a feel for them, and trying to flesh them out, to coin a phrase, to make them feel alive and real.

May 19th 2027 12:30pm; that was what the clock said on the bedside moments before the device released a mind grating horn shaking the inhabitants of the room from their slumber.

“FUCK!” they said with some slight aggravation as they were forced awake. A fist hammered down and slammed into the off button with enough force to cause the bedside table to shake. The bed’s occupant sat up and groaned, they were a young man of nineteen years old, a head full of dark brown unruly hair which was currently stuck up in various places giving him the appearance of a Japanese cartoon character, his eyes; which had yet to open, were a deep and rich cocoa like colour, when standing he was of average height reaching five-foot-eight tall all the while wearing on a navy blue t-shirt and a pair of green boxer shorts. He groaned in a deep throaty tone before climbing out of his bed, stood up and then stretched eliciting several cracks from his joints.

“JOSH!” a voice called from outside his room, “YOU UP?!”

“YEAH DAD!” Joshua called back loudly,

“I’M MAKING LUNCH, HURRY UP AND GET A SHOWER!” his father called back to him.

Joshua lifted his arm and took a quick sniff of his arm pit and grimaced, yeah he needed to shower.

After gathering some fresh clothes for the day ahead and having a quick shower Joshua looked at himself in the bathroom mirror, placing his hand gently on the cool glass surface then wiped away the condensation and looked at his reflection and took in every detail he could see. He didn’t think he was handsome nor ugly, his opinion of himself was average, may that be truth or teenage insecurities he didn’t know.

“You don’t look bad.” His father had said.

“Oh Josh, you’re the spitting image of your dad.” His aunt Mary had said.

So he guessed he couldn’t be all that bad. With a shrug he put the thought aside, sprayed deodorant under his arms and pulled on his clothes, a simple blue t-shirt and black jeans, and for those curious; grey boxers.

Joshua found his dad in the kitchen working at the stove, “Smells good dad.” He said as he announced his entry.

“It better.” His dad replied and turned towards him with a smug expression, his dad was taller than him nearing six-feet tall, in his early 50s, his own brown hair was starting to go grey, upon his face; starting from the top of his cheeks and ending at the bottom of his jaw was a scar resembling three lone lines now faded with time, but it looked like the cut had once been deep. The scar didn’t make him ugly, goodness no, but it definitely caught people’s attention when they first laid eyes upon him.

“What you burning?” Joshua asked in a joking manner.

“You if you keep making fun of my cooking.” His dad joked back. “Making pasta, use up what we got left before it goes rotten and finish up that cheese sauce from last night.”

That sounded good to Joshua, his dad was a good cook, had to be since he was a single parent. It had been hard for both of them but Josh felt sorry for his dad, after his mother’s death which in turn had been his birth, his dad had never dated anyone, never even looked interested. His dad raised his all by himself more or less, of course he had his aunt Mary who adored him and his grandparents, his mother’s parents always told him about her, what she was like, showed him pictures; he almost felt like he knew her. But still he knew it had to have been hard on his father, every time her birthday came up, every time his birthday came up, there were times when Josh was young he found his dad crying in his room alone, the young Josh would rush up to his dad and embrace up.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” He would repeat over and over only for his father to tell him he did nothing wrong, though Josh never quite believed it, if he had never been born his mother would never had died and his dad wouldn’t have been sad.

“You’re my son, and I love you.” He dad would say, and still did.

As Joshua grew he came to realise life had been hard on both of them.

Within the next few minutes’ pasta was served up and the two men began to converse as they ate.

“So, another night?” his dad asked.

“Yeah, another night.” Joshua replied instantly knowing what his father was talking about.

“They tried to stuff you?” his father said, partially joking.

Joshua huffed with annoyance, “no dad, you know very well they won’t do that.” He replied, they always had this conversation, “I thought you liked them.”

“I tolerate them because you like them.” His father said between mouthfuls of pasta, he swallowed before he continued, “I mean hey, don’t get me wrong, when I was a young I used to love Freddy Fazbear just as much as the next kid, even in ’87 when all that crazy stuff was going on, I stayed faithful to Freddy’s because I loved them … then I started working for them.” He said finishing with a grimace.

“Times have changed dad, better programming and stuff.” Joshua replied, not deterred by his father’s story which he’d already heard time and time again.

“Yeah true, but kids these days are way smarter, using computers and hacking stuff like its second nature it’s only a matter of time before some nut job hacks into those bots, and then its 93 all over again.” His father warned him.

“Dad trust me, their programming is a little more sophisticated than what’s available, and they’ve even told me they’re programmed to shut down and reset if they find any malicious software.” Joshua replied calmly, completely confidant in the animatronics’ words.

His dad shrugged, “I guess they’d know better than me.”

“Why don’t you come tonight?” Josh asked and immediately regretted it.

“No way, no, no no no! NO! I’m not going anywhere near a Freddy’s, a Candy’s or a Rachel’s after dark.” His father protested much to Joshua’s delight.

“Dad those other two chains aren’t even open anymore.” Joshua replied with a slight chuckle to his tone.

“Something your aunt Mary is very happy about.” His father replied then shook his head as he himself laughed.

“Dad I’m safe, I swear, the animatronics are great they’ve got some real personality to them and the only stuffing that’s been threatened was Chica threatening to stuff pizza down my throat.” Joshua replied hoping to relieve his dad.

His dad looked at him with a confused expression, “Why would she do that?”

“It was the day the college had that long ass open day for the public, and well I got made to stay behind after put stuff back, I only got a few hours’ sleep that day and didn’t each much so all through my shift my stomach was rumbling, thus … threatening to stuff me with pizza.” Joshua explained in an awkward manner.

“… oh …”

What followed was an awkward silence which only seemed intensified by the confused yet somewhat amused look the older man was giving his son.

“Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway.” The older man said before going back to his pasta.

Well that had been awkward.

“Oh hey dad?” Joshua asked as something just came to him,

“Mm?” his dad looked up to him and he slurped a long piece of pasta into his mouth.

“Does aunt Mary even know I work at Freddy’s?” Joshua asked.

“Dear god, no! Are you kidding me, she’d fire bomb the place quicker than you could blink if she found out.” His father replied in shock and horror, “I remember the first time she came back from her job at Candy’s, she was never the same again.”

“Then you with Freddy’s.” Joshua added.

“And now you with you Freddy’s” his father concluded, his family sure did have a strange history with animatronic animals in fast food restaurants, “let’s just hope your experience with them stays better than ours.”

‘it’s going great so far.’ Josh thought to himself remembering all of his night encounters with a certain grey furred wolf. If things had been awkward before bringing up her would have assuredly made things worse, sometimes some people are just not ready for some things.

Joshua finished his pasta before looking at the clock, “ah damn it.” He grunted and quickly grabbed his weathered backpack, he had College in an hour.

“Hey don’t worry, I’ll drive you.” His dad said as he put the dishes into the sink and grabbed his car keys.

Elsewhere in the city things were a little quieter, too quiet to be honest.

The new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria was having a slow day, and that made it a long day. Just through the entrance was the main dining room, with the band’s stage located on the right hand side, currently, branching off from the main room in the top right corner was a second room Pirates Cove, which currently had only one occupant, the Pirate Wolf simply known as Wolfie. Wolfie’s character was made in an homage to the original Foxy characters all the while keeping away from the characters’ dark history, she stood seven-feet-tall, from the tips of her ears to the bottom of her toes was covered in a life like suit covered in deep grey fur, with a bushy tail sprouting from behind her just above her hips.

Currently she was dressed in her pirate attire, long deep brown trousers custom made to fit her large size with a hole in the back for her tail, with several belt to not only fit the character but to hold them up, over her body was a white shirt design to look weathered and beaten as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years, over that was her pirate coat a long black coat went stopped just below her knees, a top her head was a stereotypical black pirates hat, that like the rest of her costume had been designed to look old and beaten, over her left hand had been was her child friendly hook, it was made of a cheap tin alloy and was about as dull as a spoon, you could barely cut butter with it, and to finish off the ensemble was the black eye patch over her left eye.

Wolfie had just finished telling some young kids a pirate story filled with adventure and treasure, leaving out all the bloody deaths the raping and pillaging, that Pirates did in their time period that her CPU had brought up, didn’t want to frighten the kids after all, that was bad for business. Right now she had a moment alone to relax and watched as the band entertained them with delightful songs both old and new.

But still, it had been a long and boring day, as it usually was from Monday through to Thursday, their best days being Friday to Sunday, but hey at least they were still getting customers which wasn’t bad after eight long years, well nine years for the others.

Without an audience other directives became an option, one of which was to walk the ground and mingle with the customers, giving helloes and the like. Choosing that one she stepped out of her room and walked towards the gathering of people.

Some turned to look at her, she’d smile nod and utter a friendly “Hope y’ar havin’ a good time at Freddy’s.” or a “Is good to see ya, enjoy your stay at Freddy’s.” and other such welcoming and friendly words.

“Mommy, mommy, I want a picture with Wolfie.” One little girl said.

“I’m not sure if that’s a good idea hun.” The mother replied and looked down to her fancy looking camera.

“Is no trouble miss, flash photography had no effect on me.” Wolfie ensured as the girl squealed with delight and hugged Wolfie’s leg, said animatronic looked to the woman who gave in and nodded before readying her camera. Smirking internally Wolfie knelt down carefully beside the girl and placed her furred hand over the girl’s shoulder, “When ya ready lass give tha camera yer best aaarrrrr, ready?”

“Ready!” the girl replied excitedly, the grin having never left her face.

“Ready over thar?” Wolfie asked and looked to the girl’s mother, the woman nodded, Wolfie turned her head slightly and gave the girl a gentle reassuring squeeze. “Okay on tha count o’ three ready?” a nod in return, “One … two … three …”

“AAARRRRRRR!” they both said in their best pirate tones, Wolfie raised her hook slightly in front of herself for added effect, the flash went off and Wolfie released the girl, “how’d we do? I think I blinked.” She jested.

“Really?” the girl asked then looked to her mother.

“Come and see.” Her mother said and the girl rush over to her and looked at the picture, “Awesome!” the girl took the camera and rushed back to Wolfie and showed her.

“Well I must say ya mother really caught me best side.” Wolfie said appreciatively and nodded to the woman, who just smiled back a little awkwardly. She gently patted the girl “Well I gotta be goin’ ya take care and have fun at Freddy’s” she rose up to her feet.

“Bye Wolfie.” The girl waved bye as Wolfie walked off.

“Bye.” Wolfie returned the wave and looked onwards greeting a few more guests whom arrived.

She stopped her activity briefly to look at the band on stage, Freddy had just finished singing and now they were making their way off the stage, Bonnie using the stairs, Freddy slowly climbing down and Chica not caring simply jumped down. It wouldn’t give her any problems, their endoskeletons were pretty durable made of a high grade carbon fibre material, which thankfully also made them rather light unlike herself with a skeletal frame made of Titanium why? She didn’t know, but her nightly activities were leading her to a few theories.

Bonnie, Chica and Freddy were stating to talk amongst the patrons, children were still excited to meet and talk to them, they were their heroes, she herself had a few fans but not many when compared to the band, not that she was jealous or anything … okay, maybe a little jealous, in the story of their show she was a kind of villain, she was rough and tough and try to take their pizza from them, while they were goody-little-two shoes who would stop her in the end and convert her into being a good guy, well girl rather. She didn’t mind, it was all just a show and it was fun even after all these years.

“Alright children.” Freddy spoke up, his tone deep but very soothing and soft, speaking directly into his microphone, “now it’s time for a song,”

It was time for a song, their programming informed them as such, and if things were still going by script as they had been for the last few years, she was to join.

“Wolfie why don’t you come up on stage and give us a hand.” Freddy said as he turned and looked at her offering her a hand of friendship, even though he was about fifteen feet away from her.

“Arrrrr, why no ya good fer nothin’ bear!” she called back raising her voice a little to make up for lack of microphone.

She moved with a quick pace and quickly climbed up onto the stage and stood next to Freddy and the others, it was always during times like these where one who see the noticeable difference between herself and the others, not only was she taller by a whole three inches, but her fur suit covered the entirety of her endoskeleton unlike that of the others who had small joints exposed and a gap around the neck where, if one was close enough could peer inside at the internal workings.

From the side a human member of staff retrieved a second guitar, custom built to be held with Wolfie’s hook, a microphone and stand.

“Gimme tha’ ya land lubber.” She growled with rehearsed frustration as she snatched the guitar and held it close to her as the human placed the stand in front of her.

“Thank you for joining us Wolfie.” Freddy said as he looked up to her and gave her a thankful smile.

“Don mention it,” she muttered loud enough for the audience to hear, “seriously, don ever mention it again.” She said a little louder.

“That’s our Wolfie.” Chica said humorously from behind, her voice was typically feminine, less rough than Wolfie’s even when she wasn’t using her pirate accent, and slightly higher in pitch.

Keeping to script Wolfie turned her head away and growled with annoyance before looking back to the audience and spoke into the microphone, “can we get on with this, I got a ship t’ get ta.”

“Of course Wolfie, after our song you can get back to your ship.” Freddy promise in a calm manner, “Now I know the perfect song for this moment,” the song he would sing would’ve been “Ol’ man River” a song from just about a century ago. “Heeeeere we all work oooooon …”

If the script didn’t have him be interrupted by Wolfie.

“No! No, no, no no! If I’m a be part of this song, we’re gunna be singin’ somethin’ that won’t send us all ta sleep!” she growled and strummed her guitar for a moment before looking over her right shoulder, “Keep up bunny!” she snarled before her head snapped back towards the audience and she spoke into the microphone. “DO WHAT YOU WANT ‘CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE, YOU ARE A PIRATE!” she sang before the whole gang went into the song and people started to clap along.

The kids loved the song and so did some adults, she herself enjoyed it as it was really the only pirate song programmed into their memories, but hey she liked it nonetheless.

“… blue sky above and blue ocean, ALL TA’GETHER! YOU ARE A PIRATE!” she sang getting the children to sing all together loudly, “You are a pirate, ya land lubber.” She concluded using the censored version the company had written into them.

The applause died down and Wolfie looked to Freddy with annoyance, “Can I go back ta’ me ship now?” she grumbled.

Freddy chuckled and nodded his head, “of course Wolfie, of course.”

She placed the guitar on the ground and quickly made her way back to Pirate’s cove.

“Well, that was fun!” Bonnie said in an optimistic way, completely undeterred by Wolfie’s scripted attitude.

“Yeah, but jeeze is she a grouch.” Chica complained adding a roll of her eyes.

“Now, now Chica, Wolfie is set in her ways, she’s just different from us,” Freddy said as he turned slightly to look at her yet allowing the audience to get a good look at him. Freddy turned back towards the audience and waved his hand from one end to the audience to the other, “as we are different from you, but we’re all still very important to each other.”

That was Freddy’s role in the band, not just leader but the morality teacher, to try and promote equality among differences, and he played the part really well and his voice just added to that.

Back in her cove she closed the curtains, her show wouldn’t be back on for a while now and she could relax for a little, she turned back to the room designated as hers, it wasn’t overly large, nor was it small, but just big enough for herself, a few props which included large eight-foot-long, three-foot-high ship prop, it wasn’t a whole ship obviously, just a piece of one, with a door meant to be the captain’s quarters which actually led to a storage room, which connected to via a short hallway to the parts and services room and by extension the band’s stage.

She groaned and rolled her shoulders making her way to her ship and stepped through the door to her storage room, it was a little like an actor’s personal quarters which in a sense fit her situation, she was of sorts an actress, and this is where she rested. She removed her hat placing on the hat stand next to many others, removed her eye patch as her systems recalibrated her depth perception and placed it on a small table Sitting herself down on a chair, which groaned slightly under her weight, she placed her left arm on the table in front of her then began to carefully dismantle the hook assembly that fit over her left hand.

“Ah finally.” She groaned dropping her pirate twang and stretched her fingers out. “Bloody stupid hook.” She grumbled, she didn’t really mind the cheap tin prop, but the construction of it could’ve been better, like most of their props to be honest, she looked over to her broken plastic sword, that thing had been abysmal even when it wasn’t broken, she remembered a few years back when one of the staff had been playing with it and had accidentally broken it, the manager had been mad to say the least, she however couldn’t have cared less, she rarely used it, just like that piece of crap tin knife/dagger thing that she was told to sometimes carry around.

Though she had the be fair, she realised, to create herself, the gang and restart the whole franchise would’ve cost several million dollars if not a few hundred million so of course they’d have to cut corners here and there on quality. Besides, what would she actually use a sword and knife for, the only people who were to sword fight were the kids and that was for legal reasons, if she accidentally hurt one of the kids or anyone there could be legal actions, so a big no on the sword fighting.

Then again a nice steel sword would help with her nightly duties. Wolfie’s pulled the most recent file of her activities from her CPU and brought it to her HUD where she watched it from the corner of her vision like a movie.

It had been twenty days ago 10:32 pm, someone had snuck in from the outside via a ventilation shaft and used the ventilation system to make their way inside, she had awoken from the sound of shuffling coming from the vents and had followed the sound till they emerged from one of the air ducts, the person had been dressed all in black, which included a balaclava over their head. The infiltrator stood exactly 117 cm or five foot ten inches tall, that included the height they gained from the large boots on their feet, they moved quietly yet quickly moving between cameras seemingly in search for something, she followed them just as silently as they were. This would-be ninja seemed to find what they were after, the manager’s office, Wolfie glanced to the camera seeing that the device didn’t quite reach the manager’s door effectively making the thief invisible. That wouldn’t do. That wouldn’t do at all. She marched up behind the thief who seemed to sense her presence, they turned moment before she wrapped her hand around their throat and lifted them up to her eye level, they tried to scream but her hand was closed just tightly enough to stop them from making too much noise while allowing them to breathe though with difficulty, she reached up and pulled the head covering off, she didn’t know this man, he had blonde hair and appeared to be in his 30s, but that didn’t matter, he was a threat to her family. She grabbed his face with her other hand and forcefully twisted his head around snapping his neck, quick and clean, she dragged the body to the kitchens for later disposal then she needed to edit the camera footage.

Back in the present Wolfie put the file away and turned to look at her hands, furry and soft yet incredibly powerful. She’d killed the thief, like she’d killed others, even if it was to protect her own surely somewhere in her programming there would be regret? But no, hell she felt more regret when she’d accidentally tripped Joshua with her tail, sure she loved him but that had been before their little affair began. She didn’t care, she’s spilled the blood of men and a few women and she didn’t care, did that make her morality programming faulty? Perhaps. But she was protecting what was hers thus she was in the right.

As if further stating her lack of regret for the killings, her CPU quickly concentrated on a different subject matter; Joshua. Her lips twitched up without her conscious thought to do so. He’d been such an adorable and shy little boy, she even remembered his first day at the pizzeria all those years ago. He’d been nine years old and the company had arranged trips for the local schools, paying the expenditure for the busses, to celebrate their second year anniversary of the pizzeria being open. The trips had been coming all week each from a different school through the city and Joshua had come on the final day, he had been unsure of the animatronics, scared even at the time she hadn’t put much thought into it, people had their phobias and fears. Eventually, it got to the point where he was being left alone and her programming wouldn’t allow that, while the other kids were eating and being entertained by the others she stepped out from her cove and quietly made her way to the boy. Upon meeting, he’d been scared, trembling and near to the point of crying.

‘The poor dear.’ Wolfie thought with pity but couldn’t help the little smirk forming over her lips.

She had spoken to him softly without the use of her pirate twang to ease the boy’s nerves, invited him back to her cove, they had been alone together for about half an hour until he felt comfortable enough to join the others, whom by then were making their way over to the cove. He ended up having a great time and he became a regular to the pizzeria, much to the chagrin of his father, whom had discovered Josh sneaking out to go there, and even told her that she was his favourite character, which he proved by spending most time with her, and even she while not meant to be performing at the time would spend time with him. Josh continued to come despite his father’s attitude towards the franchise, though with good reason, and eventually Josh had his birthday here, that had been a major turning point with the animatronics relationship to Josh’s father, whom seemed to tolerate them for his son’s sake.

When he was fourteen he’d informed them that he’d be going away to high school in another city, at the time, she couldn’t but feel an ache in her power cell upon hearing his words, that day there had been some heartfelt goodbyes and some metaphorical tears, literal ones coming from the boy himself. They hadn’t seen him for four years, then their old night guard was retiring, at the age of 72, he was calling it quits, thankfully a new night guard had already been hired.

Her surprise when midnight finally arrived, signalling the entrance of the new night guard, she and the others had already gathered to greet him, when they reached the office, they saw the guard with the tablet raised to their face.

Freddy had emitted a mechanical grunt, mimicking a clearing of the throat when the night guard lowered the device and smirked at them.

“Hey guys, I’m back.”

They paused, confused by his words before their facial recognition software activated, the similarities to one other person they knew came up at over 89%.

“Joshua?” Bonnie had asked.

With a simple nod, they all rushed to him, he stood up to greet them and was encircled in hugs. That night they’d all caught up with one another, she herself was beyond excited, he was back, her little favourite was back.

‘Not so little’ she had to remind herself. No, he wasn’t a little boy anymore, he had grown, eighteen years old at the time. For a time she and he still had a platonic relationship, the closest of friends, sure by the standards of what the ancient Greek’s deemed handsome or beautiful, he was quite the looker, nothing on him looked too big or too small, he was … an adult, that took some time to click.

Their current state of relation came several months ago back in January, New Year’s Eve 11:55pm to be perfectly exact. Before the Christmas holidays his girlfriend of a few months had left him and he was feeling awful, he was going through a bought of misery, talking himself down, thinking himself worthless and unlovable when she couldn’t take it anymore, she declared her love for him, by that time she’d pieced together that she had loved him since they started spending time together during his night shifts, but knew he couldn’t love her back. But right then, right there, she’d told him and crashed her lips against his, to her surprise and joy he kissed back.

Wolfie smiled widely at the memory before getting back to her feet, she’d spent enough time reminiscing and soon it would be time to get back to work, she put her jacket back on, reequipped her hat and eye patch then made her way out the door and back into her cove.

‘Show time.’ She thought as she pushed the door open.

The day came and went and darkened into night, at the Pizzeria all the animatronics were in stand-by awaiting for the clocks to strike midnight and for Joshua to arrive. The main door was unlocked and Joshua, now dressed in his purple night guard entered the building then closed and locked the door behind him. “Hey guys!” he called even though he knew they couldn’t hear him, at least he thought they couldn’t. He walked the stretch of the main room then took a left down a hallway, branching off into a separate hallway to the behind the scenes areas, and entered the security office, he sat down and checked his watch, 23:50, plenty of time to review the security footage. He brought the tablet up to his face, entered the command code the start recording at 9:30 at night, when the pizzeria closes. He checked the footage through each camera at an accelerated rate, nothing seemed to be happening, he switched to each camera after running the course previous, he was on the fifth camera when he felt large hands land on his shoulders, he jumped a little in shock before said hands began to knead his muscles.

“You’re tense.” Wolfie said from behind him in a soft sultry tone.

Joshua’s first reaction was to blush, he calmed his nerves and continued to look through the footage, “Oh you know, course work for college” He replied moment before groaning in pleasure as Wolfie put a little more pressure onto his muscles. “How does a child’s entertainer know how to massage?” he asked.

“Internet.” Wolfie replied nonchalantly, she leaned closer and looked at the tablet in his hands, “anything good?” she asked.

“All’s quiet, as usual.” Joshua said as he finished with the fifth camera, “I really don’t get why they even have night guards.” He commented with a chuckle.

“If someone broke in what are we gunna do?” she asked softly, “We’re programmed not to harm anyone remember? We wouldn’t be very good deterrents.”

‘Oh yeah.’ He thought, cursing himself for forgetting, “Good point, but what am I going to do?”

Wolfie shrugged, “Call the police, threaten them with your flashlight, use your imagination.” She jested. She felt him tense a little more under her fingers, “Hey don’t worry about it, worse comes to worse, we’d figure something out.” She leant down and planted a kiss gently on his cheek.

“Yeah, I’m sure we would.” He said as he finished looking through the footage of the last camera, then looked to Wolfie with a grateful smile, “thanks again by the way, you’re right I’ve been way too tense lately.”

Wolfie sultry look returned as she leaned closer to him so her snout was just an inch from his mouth, “I’ve got the perfect way to relax you.”
