#33 of Shaman Squirrel Chronicles

This takes place in SY 1706, which is 30 years after "Drayle, the Shaman Squirrel" and 76 years before "Pakaly, the Shaman Squirrel." Enerka will be Pakaly's grandmother.

Enerka was a 33-year old Shaman Squirrel who lived in a small village called Nimrione with her mate, a 30-year old Shaman Great Pyrenees dog named Ryany. The village of Nimrione had renewable energy resources, organic food production, vertical farming, aquaponics, and other self-sustaining practices, using little or no advanced technology.

Enerka and Ryany lived in a small cottage surrounded by trees, and they had their own vertical farm, which resembled a large wall containing shelves of various edible plant species.

Enerka came out of her cottage to see Ryany staring at the sky. "What is it, hon?" she asked him.

"Something isn't right," said Ryany. "I can just sense it."

"Come on in and have some tea," said Enerka. "Maybe it'll calm your nerves."

"Sounds good," said Ryany. Ryany followed Enerka back into their cottage. As Enerka began to brew the pot, a low groaning noise could be heard. "Was that Tatydra?" asked Ryany.

"I heard that too," said Enerka. "She only makes that sound when she's concerned about something. Let's go out and check on her." Enerka and Ryany went outside to the back of the cottage.

Laying down with her head perked up, was the large, majestic 327-year old Cygnan Mammalian dragoness named Tatydra. She was the loyal riding steed of Enerka and Ryany, who flew on her for various errands. She was mostly chocolate brown with golden fringes on her mane, belly, and wing tips. She also had a small goat-like beard on her chin. She kept looking into the sky and groaning.

"Apparently you're not the only one who's on edge today," said Enerka.

There was a beep on Enerka's wristband, the only form of technology she possessed. It was the communication signature of her father Drayle. She answered it. "Hello?"

"Enerka," he said. "I'm glad you're okay. This is an emergency. Wyverns have been attacking village after village. I think they're heading towards Nimrione."

"Oh, no!" Enerka said. "What can I do?"

"Just remain calm," Drayle said. "It's not good for the villagers to panic; that might make things worse. I've sent Zara and her friends and descendants." Zara was the oldest of the Cygnagons (short for Cygnan mammalian dragons) befriended by the Shaman Squirrels, and she was the great grandmother of Tatydra.

"Do we need weapons?" asked Enerka.

"There is no need for you to be involved in this fight," said Drayle. "We Shaman Squirrels are peace lovers, but we will defend ourselves the best we can. Our Cygnagons are our best weapons and our only hope. I have confidence in their fighting abilities."

"I hope you're right, daddy," said Enerka. She closed the communication.

"What is it?" asked Ryany.

"We're going to try to get all the villagers to stay indoors," said Enerka.

"We should go to the radio tower to make the announcement," said Ryany. "They all know who you are and trust that you're not a prankster." Enerka was well known as the daughter of a rabbit named Joyce, the mayor of Nimrione. While her father Drayle also lived in Nimrione, he had been away helping creatures in other villages stay safe from the wyverns.

There was very little technology on the planet Silvania, but it had a simple communications grid. The village of Nimrione was no exception. Enerka and Ryany walked to a small radio tower, and Enerka made the announcement: "Enerka, the Shaman Squirrel reporting. This is an emergency situation. All Nimrione residents must remain indoors. I repeat, this is an emergency. All residents of Nimrione must remain indoors."

Meanwhile, southeast of Nimrione, a large swarm of wyverns was flying above the clouds. Pursuing them stealthily were the Cygnagons. There were hundreds of wyverns, outnumbering the Cygnagons who only numbered in the dozens.

The Shaman Squirrel and Shaman Dog walked out of the radio tower and headed to their cottage. "Did you hear that?" asked Ryany.

"Yes, some kind of unearthly squawking sound," said Enerka. "We have to go inside fast."

Meanwhile, one of the wyverns attacked the radio tower by scorching it with it's fire breath. Two Cygnagons grabbed one of the wyvern's wings each, and pulled up, and flung the wyvern toward a rocky outcrop. Then four other wyverns tried attacking one of the Cygnagons, the weight of them bringing her to the ground. The other Cygnagon used her four legs to grab and throw the wyverns off, but it was too late, she had already fatally landed on the ground.

A huge wyvern, roughly the size of a female Cygnagon came to the village, followed by a horde of smaller wyverns.

Still looking out the window, Enerka was shocked by what she saw. "Oh, no!"

"What should be done?" asked Ryany.

"I think they have a weakness," said Enerka. "I've read about this type of wyvern once. They are controlled by a huge leader. Once that leader dies, they all die."

"So someone must kill the leader," said Ryany. "But who and how?"

Enerka continued looking out the window. She saw a familiar ancient Cygnagon. "That's Zara!" said Enerka. "She's nearly seven hundred years old! That's way too old to fight, even for a Cygnagon."

"Isn't she Tatydra's great grandmother?" asked Ryany.

"Yes," Enerka said. "Let's go check on Tatydra." The two of them went to a back window and looked up. "There she is! She's pursuing a wyvern."

Soon, Tatydra had her mouth on the wyvern's neck, and sunk her teeth deep. While flying around in circles, she choked the life out of it and it dropped to the ground.

"Good girl!" said Ryany. "Now let's see what's going on with that huge wyvern."

They went back to the other window they were looking through. "Is Zara... oh, no!"

Zara flew through the swarm of smaller wyverns and headed straight for the huge leader wyvern.

"She can't possibly do that on her own," said Ryany. "She's way too old."

"Looks like she's got backup," said Enerka. They watched Zara's daughter Noraxia and granddaughter Persephone ram some wyverns. Other Cygnagons, most likely their half sisters and cousins, helped out as well.

Zara clung to the neck of the lead wyvern. It screeched and tried to struggle for freedom. Because neither large beast could fly very well while in combat, both were plummeting to the ground. Soon, there was a loud thud. They landed in a wooded thicket not too far from the outskirts of Nimrione.

The other wyverns did not need to be attacked anymore. "Look!" said Ryany. "They're dropping like flies. Zara got their leader!"

"We need to check on her," said Enerka. "It should be safe to leave the cottage now." The two of them got out to see dead and dying wyverns in the woods and on their dirt road. Enerka sighed mournfully as she also saw some dead Cygnagons. They walked toward where Zara had landed with the lead wyvern.

"There she is," said Ryany.

"Oh, Zara," said Enerka, as both of them ran toward her.

Zara moaned in such a way that sounded like she was telling them it's all over. "Can you heal her?"

"I'm afraid not," said Enerka. "I can only stop her pain." Enerka lay her hands over the ancient, dying Cygnagon. A purple mist of energy enveloped Zara, and she stopped moaning in pain. "The Shaman Squirrel ability to heal has a limit. She's simply too old. She's ready to join the Nature Spirits." A tear drenched the fur on Enerka's face.

"She saved us all," said Ryany.

The two of them stayed by Zara's side until her spirit gave way.

Later that day, the other Shamans came to visit Nimrione. All injured Cygnagons had already been healed by the Shaman Squirrels. Five large graves were dug for the fallen Cygnagons, including one for Zara. Great Elder Fengle, who was Enerka's 117-year old great grandfather, gave a eulogy:

"It is with great sadness that we must bury our companion who had been with us for nearly seven centuries. Zara had been with us from the very beginning with the very first Shaman Squirrel, Redra. She died a heroine, and will be remembered in the generations to come."

Fengle's 85-year old son Seradd had a cedar flute and played a beautiful melody in Zara's honor. Next to him was his 456-year old Cygnagon wife Persephone who looked down at him, a tear in her eye, touched both by memory of Zara and the prettiness of the tune.

When the funeral was over, many Cygnagons ceremoniously stayed to pay their respects for Zara and their fallen sisters and cousins. In a large circle, they bowed their heads. The females allowed much smaller males and youngsters to climb onto their shoulders for a better view of the graves. They stayed there while the sun let it's crimson light wane as night began.

Back in their cottage, Enerka and Ryany were cuddling on their bed. "I can't believe she's gone," said Enerka, fighting tears.

"I know Zara meant a lot to your clan," said Ryany, comforting his wife by petting her furry head and neck. "But at least Tatydra and most of the others are still around."

"We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Zara," said Enerka, hugging Ryany. "Do you know something that might cheer me up?"

"I'm not sure, but I bet it has something to do with me," said Ryany.

"Oh, it does," said Enerka. "Let's do it."

"Right now?" asked Ryany.

"Of course, my big goofy puppy," said Enerka.

The big white dog unbuckled his trousers while Enerka took off her tribal garb. Enerka got into the natural position, her fluffy tail in the air. "Would you like me to shift between my rabbit and squirrel forms?" she asked.

"That would be hot," said Ryany. "You're so cute in both forms."

Enerka began in her squirrel form, as Ryany grabbed her hips. He slid his canine member into her tight lady squirrel part. "Oh, yes, give me that knot," she said.

Ryany kept pounding in and out of his wife, and while doing so, she concentrated. Then, her tail got much shorter and her ears got longer. She was now in her rabbit form. "Ahhhh, that's so hot," Ryany said as he felt the sensation of the squirrel's vagina becoming a rabbit's. They felt like different vaginas, but they were both very warm and welcome places for his canine penis. Ryany kissed the neck and back of his now rabbit wife as he continued to thrust.

Enerka moaned in ecstasy, "Mmm, yes! You're my favorite doggy," she said. "Ohhh!" She giggled playfully as she morphed back into her squirrel form.

That sensation did it for Ryany. "Oooh," said Ryany. "Here comes my load!" Then burst after burst of canine semen oozed into Enerka. He stayed in her, locked by his knot. He lifted his leg so they could be rear to rear in a typical canine tied position. While locked into this position, Enerka morphed back into her rabbit form again.

"Ooooh," said Enerka. "This is amazing. This does make me feel better."

Ryany was panting as his seed continued to fill Enerka's rabbit form. When he was finished emptying his load into her, he pulled out. The two of them got up on their feet, the fur on their legs drenched with his sperm and her orgasm juices. They faced each other, and kissed passionately. "All better," said Ryany. "Now, let's get some sleep."
