*~.::Sinn & Shadow::.~* Chapter 1 - "A Lady & A Tramp"
#1 of Original Stories & Writings
This is an original story that I am writing (and working to fine-tune with the assistance of my husband) featuring my primary fursona Jade Nightwalker and my husband's character Hinata Lupinalos. At this time I am not certain how many chapters there will be. This story will be a work in progress and new chapters will be released as I work on them. While I was originally going to put this up once I had three chapters already completed, I decided to go ahead and put chapter one up to "test the waters" so to speak. See what interest there may be in it to gauge just how far I might be able to go with it. I haven't written anything in so long, I'm a bit rusty. But I still think this is a refreshing change of pace for me. At this time I am not seeking full out criticism, but honest thoughts/opinions are appreciated. :) I hope you enjoy what you read here so far! And because I may not be able to thank you all personally for +faving this or watching me, I want to give a huge THANK YOU to those who support me in advance. I greatly appreciate it. <3

Chapter 1 - "A Lady & A Tramp"
The small pub was by far not the best in town. But the place at least had decent service, was mostly clean and often had good drink specials so it attracted decent business. Due to the pub's location, so close to the main freeway, it was just usually the first place people went because it had easy access and didn't look like an absolute shithole. At least from the outside anyway. There were your standard accommodations and quite a few regulars in attendance tonight: the rock music playing on overhead speakers out of an old, obligatory juke box. The small cluster of sports fanatics crowded around a tiny, old TV set hung above them and had definitely seen brighter days. The middle-aged, brown bear bartender known only as 'Bear', going about topping off drinks and idly chatting with some of the fellas at the counter. A handful of rowdy, barely-of age-to-drink kids hogging the only pool table with a full set of balls in the farthest, darkest corner. An 18 year old slut of a cheetah with a fake ID in a cheerleader mini skirt wearing a leather jacket entangled with her Sloth jock boyfriend making out and practically climbing the walls of the dimly lit hallway leading to the bathrooms. A thirty-something year old Hippopotamus who looked like she'd just been mugged, possibly raped and beaten, and was definitely on some kind of drug (other than alcohol) and mumbling softly to herself as well as the napkin dispenser in front of her. And then there was the spritely, red headed ocelot waitress wearing far too much makeup and perfume and her greasy colleague, a coyote who looked as nervous as anyone who'd just left their mom's basement and landed their first job, fearing doing anything to risk losing it. Both were bustling about taking orders from the scattered customers at the booths and tables to bring back to the bartender and into the kitchen. In the back, unseen, was the chef and owner of the pub himself, an old mastiff dog called Bjorn whose cooking was more for those who enjoyed a lot of carbon in their diets than anything else, but his ale was die for. And no, he won't tell you what's in it. Overall it was a dive, but at least it had a good reputation.
Locals from this part of town knew that old' Bjorn's pub was 'okay' at best (read: you will get drunk, very drunk) but the guy was a good, hard working and honest fellow and trouble rarely ever came from within his establishment so nobody ever felt need to complain or try to redirect customers elsewhere. However, with its more or less outdated and grungy visage, it could definitely be considered a surprise to see someone from the "nicer" side of town within its walls. Given this fact, tonight was to be a night of surprises indeed as Jade Nightwalker, one of the most popular, professional performers at the uptown gentleman's club, was to find herself there, at Bjorn's...
In a momentary lull in the music, as the Juke box hadn't been given a selection to play yet, quite suddenly the heavy wooden door of the pub was pushed open. Warm street light from the lamp outside poured in on the dingy atmosphere, causing many a patron to look up from the drinks they were nursing. Anyone that did suddenly found themselves wide eyed in disbelief at the sight that greeted them, standing poised and silhouetted in half light, like something torn straight out of the centerfold of a rich man's porn mag. Long, dark, flowing locks cascaded down the back and shoulders of a tall, supple and decidedly feminine figure of the monochrome wolfess in the entryway. Deep, golden eyes flecked with dark green accents scanned the room before she stepped forth and crossed the floor towards the bar in fluid movements making it appear she was half gliding, half sauntering; hips swaying and three inch heeled, black, thigh-high boots clicking emphatically upon the grainy old wood planks. With the subtle swoosh of the partly buttoned, trailing long coat the hue of pine needles in summer that was pulled tightly closed around the woman's middle Jade reached the counter and drew her stark white fingertips across it before leaning into the stone slab, her breasts practically popping free and out onto the surface as she did. A heavy smirk remained upon her muzzle as she addressed the bartender in a voice as sultry and smooth as silk.
"A double shot of whiskey please; extra ice."
She winked at the old bear that had paused in mid-polish of a glass to meet her gaze with a simple raised brow. He gave a curt nod and set the glass aside, grabbing for a new, clean one from beneath the row of taps along the bar and began to fill her order. Chuckling softly to herself, she then turned to face the rest of the room, ignoring the gaping mouths and ogling eyes of the rest of the patrons and instead took in the joint. She noticed the young coyote waiter lurking nearby, looking as if he wanted to ask her a question, but too nervous to approach someone such as herself that was so clearly out of his league. Flicking her ear in his direction, the woman acknowledged him a small wink, a lick of her lips and friendly smile. Upon being noticed and hit on by the gorgeous woman, the tray of dishes the boy held within his paws suddenly slipped and went crashing to the floor, shattering and causing a huge raucous and mess. The ocelot redhead, hearing the commotion came bursting out from the kitchen to the sight of her coworker bumbling about trying to clean up his mess and simultaneously flatten the bulge that appeared quite suddenly beneath his white apron.
'Oops. ...My bad.'
Jade thought before making an innocent, yet sympathetic face at the boy and the now flustered feline at his side before returning her focus to the rest of the bar. Sighing softly, she took a moment to locate the coat hooks upon the wall next to the juke box. Making her way over to the old machine, and subsequently, the hooks, Jade first paused to browse the available music catalog. Flipping the switches upon the machine to seek through various titles, searching for something fitting to break the noticeable lull in the pub, the woman leaned in against the glass front to get a better look and was amused at the sound somewhere behind her of a chair sharply scooting out from under a table, followed by the heavy thud of a body hitting the ground as some poor soul literally fell out of his chair at the sight of her against the juke box like that. Some men were just too far easy to get riled up. Tucking a stray strand of hair out of her eyes, Jade found a suitable tune. Once satisfied with her selection, she pressed the large red button to load in the record of her choice. She then proceeded to the coat hooks as the song "Roar Some Sugar On Me" by 'Jeff Leopard' began to play across the loudspeakers. Some hoots and hollers of approval erupted behind her and she just chuckled, glancing over her shoulder a moment at the cheering guests, glad they approved of her taste in music. Turning back to the coat rack, Jade began to slowly unbutton her coat. The particular garment accentuated her curves well, hiding just enough that there was much to be left to one's imagination, but also remaining revealing enough, showing plenty of leg, hints of lace and promising that less was more underneath it's emerald folds to entice and tease those who ventured their gaze upon her. But now, as the confines of the heavy cloth came free from her body, and she swung it around and up onto a spare hook, quite suddenly, over the blaring chorus of "Roar Some Sugar On Me", the entire pub could now gaze upon the woman in almost near full-nude glory.
The amount of vocal uproar that rose up as Jade's black leather and lace stage attire was revealed made the woman blush slightly and laugh audibly. She waved her paw dismissively at the increasingly excited crowd.
"Oh come on now. I'm only here for a quick break then I gotta get back to work!"
She said, speaking loudly so as to be overheard from the song.
"You can see my show and more over at Sinn's Cabaret!"
She giggled and grinned before moving back to the bar to accept her drink from Bear who just huffed softly, looking at her clearly provocative attire up and down before turning away and getting back to his work. Jade couldn't help but smirk as she noticed a small shiver pass along the burly male's spine. She was used to having this kind of effect on people. It was her job after all to tease, entice, perform and pleasure. Taking a sip of her whiskey, Jade surveyed the bar again, noticing more and more details of the place this time. She had never actually ventured inside Bjorn's before, but had heard a few good things about it. On her break between shifts, the wolfess had decided to give it a go. It had been slightly out of her way from work and her usual hang outs on the other side of town, but hey, she never turned down a good recommendation from a customer; no matter their societal status. So far, she was pleased with what she'd experienced.
As she slowly made progress with her beverage, at the far end of the bar, Jade took notice of a lone, deep gray, almost black furred male with his head bowed low over his drink seemingly unaware of the world around him. She'd seen the look before countless times. The look of someone who was staring their whole life in the face through the reflection in their glass. For some reason, this male drew her attention more so than anyone else on this night. She studied him a moment before throwing back the last dregs of her drink and setting her glass on the counter. Glancing at Bear and lifting a paw and gestured to him.
"I'll have another if you don't mind."
She smirked before making her way down the bar and over to the lonely male. Sliding onto the bar stool beside him, she waved Bear over to her new chosen seat for him to deliver her second drink. She nodded to him in thanks placing a few coins on the counter in payment before taking a swig and then turning and smiling lightly at the dark stranger beside her. Her eyes once more roved over the oblivious male before she spoke.
"Hey there... I couldn't help but notice you're all alone over here. You seem lost in thought. Anything I might be able to help with?"
She smiled coyly at him, taking another sip of her drink and peering interestedly over the rim of her glass.
