Insanity: Prologue

Feel free to criticize it, as feedback is always welcome. This is, however, only the prologue so it is but a taste of what is to come.
People say that life is full of lessons which are demonstrated and executed every day of our lives. Unfortunately for some, these lessons are not always taught to us in the most pleasant of ways. In some cases, what we must endure is so scarring that it is near impossible for us to come back from it. But the question arises in such instances; what are we supposed to do? Are we simply to move on from it? Forget the horrors we encountered? And what of the aftermath? How are we to deal with that? What society seems not to understand is that we as humankind have emotions and when these emotions are suppressed, they build up and continue to do so until they overflow, often wreaking havoc on everyone and everything.
And so began the story of Kai Wenzel, a rather troubled young man. Life constantly on the run would do that to someone with a mind of such fragility as Kai's. As it stood, he was probably crazy anyway without all the stress he faced. As for why he was on the run even he was not sure of. He just knew he had to run. Capture would be the end of him. The men in the white coats, he knew, would not take kindly to his behaviour. For one reason or another, nobody seemed to understand him and as a result, hated him. Something he himself might never understand.
At the beginning, before he realized he was crazy, Kai had lived a somewhat normal life. That is, his definition of normal. Outside of everything going on at home, his life might be considered normal by society. Maybe. Though who and what really is normal anymore? All this aside, we are about to endeavour into a rather dark and mysterious place, so let us begin.
