Yiff-Star is the best adult furry fiction site on the internet. It's a perfect example of the evolution of a community content based website. Before the advent of such sites, it was the responsibility of the owner to have to post everything... in addition to maintaining the site as well.

This is probably why a number of very good sites fell by the wayside. Allowing the members to post their stories, as well as rate and comment, is a good idea. In this sense, the site can only be as good as we make it... so we have to take some responsibility.

Part II:

"** Just the Beginning..."**

Three years ago...

Carmen had tried to keep up a social life during college. She'd gone out with friends and on dates with guys. She's had a couple of boyfriends, but nothing really serious. And yet, somehow, she had felt a little empty... She had always assumed that this was what people did when they got older. Girls were supposed to go out- that was what her friends did.

Yes, she had gone out on dates with some guys... and even had sex with some of them. There was never any pressure about it, she had always consented. Any yet, the vixen had wondered why none of these relationships ever seemed to go anywhere- she wasn't really expecting to find true love, just decent chemistry with the person she was with. She wondered what was wrong- was it something she was doing? She was attractive and outgoing, so it wasn't that hard for her to find someone... But in the end, she found herself growing away from her partner so quickly.

She envied Natani... The raccoon seemed perfectly happy being alone. She just went on with her studies and kept to herself most of the time. Really, the only social life that she seemed to have were the occasional outings the two of them went on together. And in her case, it seemed like that was enough. The red fox wished that she could find the same sort of contentment on her own as her roommate seemed to enjoy.

This evening, the vixen found herself sitting on the couch in the den- reading one of her text books. Carmen was just wearing a pair of cut-off denim shorts and a black t-shirt. Her dark red hair was hanging loose down her back and around her shoulders. Over the years, she'd gotten used to dressing pretty casually around Natani.

She looked up to see the raccoon step out of the bathroom they shared. She had come back from working out at the gym and had taken a shower. Her hair was damp and a heavy towel hung from around her neck. She was only wearing a black sports top and matching underwear. Carmen felt herself blush slightly at the site of her roommate and covered her face with the book again... The top Natani had on clung to her and the fox had been able to see the points caused by her nipples.

"You okay?" Carmen looked up as Natani, still only dressed in her underwear and a towel, sat down beside her. "You've seemed kind of tense recently." The raccoon added calmly.

Carmen was silent for a moment, then set the text book down on the coffee table. "I'm not sure." She began in a low tone. "It just feels like I'm missing something... but I have no idea what exactly it is." She continued. "It's all starting to feel like a rat race for me."

"What is?" The raccoon asked, opening the can of beer she had been holding in her hand.

The fox sighed. "That's part of the problem, I'm not even sure what to call it..." Carmen replied with a sigh. "It's sort of a social thing- I feel I'm just going through the motions and nothing's really happening." She confessed.

The raccoon took a drink as she mused over what the fox had just said. "...Everyone feels like that sometimes, it's natural." She reasoned.

The vixen looked over at the raccoon. "I guess so, but I wish I could be more like you sometimes..."

Natani paused. "Me? Why the hell would a social gadfly like you want to be more like me?" She asked her in a shocked tone.

Carmen looked away. "Well, you seem perfectly fine with being on your own. You don't need anyone else to make you feel better. And you--"

WAPP!

Carmen lurched back slightly when Natani slapped her (hard!) across the cheek. She rubbed her stinging face and looked over at the other girl. "What was that for? I ju--" She fell silent when she saw the strange look in the raccoon's eyes.

"You think I don't have problems?!" Natani exclaimed in annoyance. "Shit! I've got way more problems than you could imagine... First off, people keep saying shit about me because I don't act all slutty like most of the princesses on this campus!" She added bitterly. "While you've been having your fun, I've been busy coping with the fact that I'm probably a lesbian!"

Natani continued in a furious tone. "So when you couple all of that with what an awful person I am- it probably means that I'll be spending my life alone..." She declared. "So don't go on about how you wish you were like me!" She finished angrily.

Carmen looked at her in shock. "But Natani, you're not a bad person. I..."

The raccoon slammed the beer down onto the coffee table and tackled Carmen, laying her out across the coach. She fixed her arms over her head as she straddled the vixen's waist. "You really think you know me?" She asked her in a surprisingly threatening tone. "I'm not a good person... the sooner you realize that about people like me, the better off you'll be." She added.

"W-what's wrong with you Natani?! Stop it! You're scaring me!" Carmen exclaimed in a panicked tone as the the raccoon leered down at her.

"Good," She replied. "You could use the wake-up call honey." Natani added in a husky tone. "You're always so unaware of everything around you... If you really knew anything about me, then you wouldn't be showing off your goods like this when I'm around..." Carmen blushed suddenly at the insinuation, but was too afraid to look away from Natani.

Natani leaned down and brushed her lips across the vixen's neck, causing her to tremble. She moved up slightly and lapped at her jaw briefly, resulting in a whimper from the red fox. She moved up so that her lips were closer to Carmen's ear. "A nice girl like you should be more careful around someone like me... you act all sweet, but you don't know anything about how people really are..." She added, rising up to look down at her.

Carmen was looking up at her with tears in her eyes. The raccoon suddenly went silent as she looked down at her... This gorgeous girl was pinned underneath her- her hair spilling out everywhere and crying. Natani suddenly felt sick, she looked away and started to pull back. But she stopped suddenly when she felt a tight grip on her wrist.

The raccoon looked back in surprise to see Carmen clutching her wrist tightly in her dark hand. The fox looked at her for a moment with watery eyes, her expression was a strange mix of confusion and longing. "Wait... Natani, please don't go..." She began in a pleading tone. "Just now, I felt something..." She added in a timid shaky voice. "I don't know what it was... but I want to feel more of it..."

Natani looked at her in shock, unsure what to say at first. "What the hell?! I just jumped you and now you're saying this?!" She replied.

Carmen pulled with all her strength, and Natani tumbled onto her. Before the raccoon could pull away again, Carmen reached up and wrapped both arms around her neck, pulling her into a kiss. Natani struggled for a moment, but soon found herself giving in...

Carmen's lips were soft and inviting. Her whole body radiated a welcoming warmth that drew the other girl to her. The raccoon felt week and confused... yet also a strong desire as well. All she knew was that at the moment, she wanted to 'feel' the other girl as much as possible. Natani eased into the embrace and gently ran her hands through Carmen's long hair.

The vixen suddenly felt moisture on her face. She opened her eyes to see tears running down Natani's face from her eyes. The two locked gazes for a moment, and Natani tried to pull back from a mix of shame and embarrassment. But Carmen caught her again and pulled her back down onto her once more. She wrapped her arms around her back comfortingly. "I'm sorry Natani, for being so selfish... it looks like we were both hurting."

Natani could only cry even harder and she clung to Carmen. No one had ever touched her so gently before- let alone kissed her! She couldn't believe that someone as beautiful as Carmen could want someone as awful as her...

Two and a half years ago...

The two women rushed into the apartment- almost forgetting to lock the door in the process- and rushed to Carmen's room. The vixen had a better bed, so the two had decided to use her room for these sort of occasions.

Natani practically tackled Carmen onto the bed. She slipped off her own sweater and then instantly set about pulling the vixen's up over her head. The two kissed frantically as they fiddled with their pants. Again, Natani was the first to shed her jeans, so she snagged the top of her roommate's pants and deftly slid them off her.

The raccoon looked hungrily down at the vixen. Carmen was clad only in a matching lacy purple bra and panties combo. 'Damn her' the raccoon thought, realizing she was wearing a strapless bra! The fox smiled at the frenzied look on her lover's face and reached up to unhook the bra from the front- to the amazement of the other girl. Carmen used her superior size and brute strength to switch them around. Now the vixen was on top of the raccoon. Natani held onto Carmen possessively. "I'll become strong enough so that no one can ever take you from me." She remarked softly as she caressed her back. "Even if it sounds bad, I just couldn't bare the idea of you with anyone else but me." The raccoon added calmly as she watched the fan blades spinning overhead. Natani paused and looked over at the vixen beside her. "Tell me, does that make me a selfish person?" She asked her softly.

Carmen looked at her for a moment, then shook her head with a smile. "No, I don't think so..." She began. "When you want to be with the person whose the most important to you, then it's only natural that you wouldn't want anyone else to come between you and that person." She reasoned calmly. "To me, there's no such thing as a 'selfish love'... regardless of any sort of pretense, love by it's very nature is selfless." She added.

The vixen looked at her intently and smiled. "Besides, I'm just as guilty of coveting you and you are of coveting me." She added with a devious smile, much to the surprise of the other woman. "Despite what you may think of me Natani, I can be pretty possessive too... especially when it comes to you." She added with a smile.

Natani smiled and sank back into the pillow. "Relationships sure can be complicated sometimes..." She commented out loud. "But I guess that's part of what gives them meaning... the initial pursuit in all relationships is what makes it so enjoyable." She reasoned with a smile. She turned to the side to face Carmen again. The vixen smiled at her. The two women shared a brief (but meaningful) kiss before returning to their cuddling positions.

"We'll be graduation soon..." Carmen commented. "What do you think will happen after that?" She asked her, somewhat nervously.

Natani shrugged. "Don't worry... I'm sure things will work out." She offered. "And like I said- I will not give you up." She added with a smile.

Two years ago...

Carmen and Natani set the boxes they were holding down inside the apartment. The fox and the raccoon looked around the den for a moment. Carmen brushed her dark hands together- her long hair bound up in the back. "Man, this sure was tiring..."

The raccoon leaned back against the wall and nodded. "Yeah, but at least we're done." She began, pausing to look around. "Besides, with our jobs and this new place- things are finally starting to look up for both of us."

The vixen glanced over at her and nodded. "Yeah, you're right... I guess this really is the beginning of a new chapter in our lives then." She added as Natani walked up behind her and placed her arms around her. Carmen craned her neck around and the two kissed.

Again, I had a hard time coming up with an ending. Basically, this story starts out taking place six years ago and ends two years before when the others take place. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this. I'll try and have another story about these two up soon.

I taught myself how to use html because I felt it was time I started stepping things a notch. It's not a huge difference, but it still helps to add some polish to the writing here and there. As a result, I can actually have some variation in the print... It helps in terms of transitions and in narrative. Plus, I can actually accent certain bits of the narrative as well.
