#1 of Kaiju Chaos

Hello everyone, this is the manual of a new story that has been on my mind lately.

Although to tell the truth, I'm not that optimistic about, but here's to hoping you'll like it.

Kaiju Chaos.

Real World:-

The story takes place in the year 2130, the world became familiar in many aspects of advanced technology, like hard light, solid holographic projection, where mere holograms have a physical sensation to them. But the thing that really awed everyone was the new Cyber Transfer technology, which briefly turns the human body into data allowing them to physically travel through the cyber plane, allowing them to travel instantly to different parts of the world, or even transport them into a game of sorts.

The mobile game Kaiju Chaos took the whole world by storm, utilizing the full potential of the Cyber Transfer tech, allowing the players to briefly enter the game world and monitor it personally through actual physical involvement.

Game World:-

'Kaiju' or strange/abnormal creatures, are beings that have existed for a long time, hidden from the mortal eye.

Kaiju come in different shapes, sizes and even origins, some are feared as powerful predators or revered as gods or celestial deities.

They all live in a separate world of their own called Asteria, where they roam free and in the open, with no need to hide their presence.

Asteria: The homeworld of all known Kaiju.

Bazarus: One of the eastern regions of the world, the place has a hindu atmosphere and landscape, complete with thick jungles and old temple ruins. The region's flag was golden in color with the emblem of a water lily flower.

Amanus: A western region of the Asteria, the region looks like japan in its old warring eras, complete with tall tower-like castles and temples all around, not to mention the beautiful landscape. The region's flag is olive green with the emblem of a cherry tree

WakuWaku: A tropical region located in the far southern parts of the world, a continent surrounded by warm and clear oceans, it's home for mostly reptilian and oceanic Kaiju. The region's flag was bright blue with the emblem of a tiki mask

Erentia: The serene and tranquil eastern region, the landscape is chinese in design and feel, and it's home to exceptionally strong elementals. The region's flag was crimson red with the emblem of a lung dragon holding different colored orbs

Gondo: The far northern cold region of Asteria, mountains, forests and snow all around. It's home to water, ice and wind Kaiju. The whole region has a few ruins that look like viking temples. The region's emblem was black with the emblem of a shield flanked by a tomahawk and a sword, with the sign of the Ice element engraved on the shield.

Neos: The advanced, western region of the world, ruins of modern cities, tall skyscrapers and huge facilities. This region is the birthplace of the Science paths, as well as home to the mechanical, bionicle and mutant Kaiju. The region's flags was white with an android's head facing sideways as an emblem.

Ankh: The desert region on the far south, sand and rocks as far and wide as the eye can see, with a few oases every few miles. The main landmark of the region is the main city that has pyramids that are bigger than the real ones. The region's flag is dark blue in color with the picture of three pyramids conjoined together, with the sun peeking from behind them.

Argenia: A region that is located near the centre of Asteria, the place is what one would call ruins of the modern world, with large buildings tipped to one side or fallen completely down, covered in moss and fungus, but with the exception of a few areas that seem to be used as bases by players. This region is a hotspot for mutants.

______________________

Terminology:-

Kaiju Tamers: The title given to the players of the game.

Medium: A mechanical device or mystical construct that gives the player/Tamer the ability to freely control their Kaiju and base. This can be anything from a simple focus to a weapon of sorts.

Gate and Key: A player's mobile acts as the Gate to the game world and the game app itself is the Key.

________________________

Gameplay:-

Kaiju: The mysterious monsters that the player controls. Their forms and characteristics can vary from both the methods used to call them and from their origin.

Tamers: Those who can control the Kaiju and draw their potential in battle, adventure and research. When a Tamer reaches a certain level they are able to participate in certain battle modes, as well as the ability to create weapons and armor for themselves to give them extra power.

Main Island: The base of a player is located on a big island in the middle of the ocean, this is where all the defences and facilities are built.

Isles: Small islands that surround the player's main island where their base is located, each isle gives a number of resources for the player to gather and use in different ways.

__________________________

Elements: The attribute of the Kaiju and even the defences that gives them extra abilities or effects.

The known elements are: Fire, Water, Earth, Nature, Wind, Thunder, Light and Darkness.

Once the player reaches certain levels, they gain access to sub-elements, which are:

Fire: Magma, Smog, Ash.

Water: Mist, Ice.

Wind: Sound, Storm.

Earth: Metal, Crystal, Sand.

Nature: Poison.

Thunder: Lightning, Flash, Plasma

Light: Spirit, Star.

Darkness: Shade, Void, Blood.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elemental Variants: Some species of Kaiju has elemental variations among them, same species and same names and titles, but with different elements and a few different abilities.
___________________________
Base: The players, at the start are given a small island to build their base of operation, which can be created and built using the two knowledge branches.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Base Options:-

When in their base, the players have multiple options that makes use of the resources and materials they collect.

Facilities: Specialized buildings or rooms that each have specific functions.

Resources: This option allows the player to build gathering and manufacturing facilities.

Defenses: Each base must have a set of defenses to protect it from other players and stray Kaiju. Both paths of knowledge have their own exclusive defenses and defense effects.

Summoning/Creating: This lets the player use their resources to either create or summon their Kaiju. Increasing the rank of the facility will allow the player to bring forth higher leveled/ranked Kaiju.

Kaiju Chambers: The facility used to summon/create a Kaiju also double up as rooms that can use any excess resources lying around to level up and evolve their Kaiju. Evolution however takes time, to allow the Kaiju to gather the necessary energy to do so. Increasing the rank of the room will decrease the evolution time.

Training: This room is a customizable facility that is used to increase the stats of the Kaiju, but it doesn't give them any worthwhile experience. Their are neutral rooms that give equal points to all stats and there are rooms that are specialized for specific stats or elements that give extra points to the element or stat in question. Increasing the rank of the facility will increase the points allocated to the stats.

Craft: This facility allows the player to utilize either path of knowledge to create weapons and armor for both themselves and their Kaiju, although crafting takes time. Higher ranking crafting facilities increases the number of crafting processes to be done at one time, as well as decrease the time of all.

The Two Knowledge Branches:-

Mystic: Using magic to build your base, the place could be a magic library or anything that is related to magic. Mystic Kaiju can be summoned using altairs, runic circles or obelisks

Science: Technology and mechanics are the pillars of scientific knowledge. The base could be a hanger of sorts or a laboratory. Scientific Kaiju can be summoned, or created using mechanical science or mutagenic science.

After reaching a certain level, the player can use both branches of knowledge simultaneously to create/summon Kaiju, and build their defences.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Knowledge Branches and Paths:-
Both branches of knowledge have their own variations or paths, that players can take, each having their own defences and ways of creating and summoning Kaiju. All of them are capable of using all of the different elements and sub-elements, but some are more attuned with a certain few, capable of using their full potential.
~~~~~~~~~~

Mystic Paths:-

The Mystic path can branch towards:

Shamanism: Calling forth creatures of spiritual origin, like ghosts, fairies and souls of ancient beings as well as the ability to create great healing spells. Shamans are more attuned with the main elements, especially Nature.

Witchcraft/doctory: Black magic, curses, hexes and even voodoo, they can summon heinous creatures to do their bidding, like phantoms, wraiths, banshees and even the undead. They are more attuned to the Darkness element and the Poison and Void sub-elements.

Celestial: Gods, holy spirits and revered idols, those are the pillars of Celestial Mystics. They are more attuned with the Light element as well as the Flash, Spirit, Crystal and Star sub-elements.

Alchemy: The rare mix of magic and science to create homunculi and golems, as well as the ability to create potions with different and varying effects. They aren't attuned to any element, but can draw out their full potential all the same.

Demonology: Using blasphemous and unholy means to call forth the evil forces of shadows as well as cast powerful curses and hexes on their enemies. They are more attuned to the Darkness, Fire and Earth elements, as well as the Smog, Magma, Ash, Poison, Shade and Storm sub-elements.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Scientific Paths:-
Science is not as exclusively attuned to any certain element like Mystic, they are capable of using all the different elements and sub-elements equally.
The Scientific Path branches towards:
Bionics: The science used to create cyborgs. This is mainly used to create Kaiju.
Bio-genetics: The method of creating Kaiju by mutating and/or mixing their genetic material, others have managed to use it to create defences, like bio-weaponry, by using living matter to create them.
Mechanics: Using machines and circuitry to create their defences and Kaiju, their 'Kaiju' however are called mechs, androids or automatons.
Cosmic: Flying saucers, galactic machinery, extraterrestrial creatures and many other-planetary things. This path's Kaijus are mostly xeno/alien machines and beings.
Steampunk: Clockwork and steam energy, the very first steps towards science still hold some influence among many scientists. This path's Kaiju are what most would call the early versions of machinery.
___________________________
Kaiju Rank and Level:-
The Kaiju can gain levels through battling, training and excavation.
Kaiju Evolutions:-
They all have four evolution forms that vary in ranking.
Child: This is their first form when they are either summoned or created, it can be used in excavation, help around the base and battle as well, but they're pretty much useless in combat and are more effective against stray Kaiju. But they get more points from training in this form
Adolescent/Teen: This form is stronger than Child and is more effective in both PVE and PVP combat. They have a chance to get rare resources or materials that will help create stronger defences, or strengthen other Kaiju.
Adult: This form is stronger than both Child and Adolescent, with a greater chance of finding rare or s.rare materials or resources. In this form, the player can get their essence (Be that their DNA or a piece of their energy, depending on the path of knowledge the player chooses to use) and mix it with another Kaiju's to create hybrids.
Ultimate/Maximum(Max): This is their greatest form and is only attainable by reaching both their highest rank and level, but this form is only usable in combat and only for a short time before the Kaiju returns to it's Adult form.
Evolution Variant Paths: Each Kaiju evolution has multiple variations, which branch from 2 to 4 maximum, each variation is dedicated to a certain stat or group of stats.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kaiju Classes:-

The Kaiju come in different classes that define their role in battle and the defence of their Tamer's base.

Those classes are:

Fighter: They focus on attack and damaging the opponent or the base of the enemy Tamers.

Defender: They focus on protecting their teammates and their Tamer's base and absorb the damage to themselves.

Caster: They specialize in in using strong abilities to attack multiple targets and/or wide areas.

Support: They specialize in healing and buffing their allies and their base defenses, they can also debuff their enemies and hinder the function of the enemy base's defenses.

Assassin: Spies and masters of deceit and illusions, they are able to slither through the battlefield unnoticed and strike before the enemy can figure out what hit them. They can walk past the enemy defences unnoticed and sabotage the enemy's base.

Hunter: Masters of gun wielding, expert snipers and veteran trap smiths, they can hit a target from a long distance and their traps can be a real pain to deal with and/or get out of.

____________________________

Game Modes:-

Combat Rules: Combat is fast based and real-time, no turns or enough time to strategize, only the Tamer's quick thinking and their own and their Kaiju's fast reflexes.

Excavation: This mode allows the player to travel around the world of Asteria in search of treasures, materials to build and repair the base and even methods and recipes of summoning/creating their Kaiju. There is also an option that lets them have some of their own Kaiju accompany them.

Battle: A team of eight Kaiju can be used in battle, with four in the front and the other four as backup for when one is down. The rules for a battle can vary, including the number of participating Kaiju.

Tag Battle: This allows two teams of players of a maximum of four each to battle side by side against an enemy team, but each player can use only two Kaijus each.

Battle Royale: A maximum of eight players take part in a free-for-all battle, no teams and no helping any of the other players.

War: This mode is branched into three options.

  1. Scout: This option allows the scouting player to send a small squad from 2 to 4 Kaiju or the player themselves can get quick analysis of the enemies base.

  2. Espionage: This lets a Tamer send one of their Assassins or any Kaiju with enough Evasive stats to infiltrate the enemy's base and steal their resources, gather information and/or sabotage their production and steal their research.

  3. Invasion: This option lets the Tamer choose a squadron of 10 Kaiju to boldly attack the enemy base, destroying their base as much as possible and take whatever resources they could get their hands on.

Tournament: A consecutive set of 5 battles that give out extraordinary prizes and great titles.

League: A consecutive set of 10 battles that are the same as a tournament in rules, but are harder and only accept high ranking players and Kaiju, as well as give out legendary prizes.
