The sun was just about set, and Tails was planning to wrap up his inventing for the day. It's been a few years since the attack by the Metal Overlord, and the 15 year old fox was getting kind of bored. He watched from the window in his warehouse, as the sun sank beyond the horizon, and the stars and moon came out.
Then there was a knock at his door.
Tails glanced towards it, and then got up to answer it. The one on the other end was a tan colored echidna, a female. She had a gold colored headband, and another around her neck. A small, blue colored tailsman hung from around her neck. She had a skirt on, which reached down to her ankles, slippers, and a large strip of cloth across her breasts. She had white gloves with claws, similar to Knuckles.
Tails looked at her for a couple of seconds, thinking that she looked familiar.
"Can I come in? I need to talk to you." she asked.
"Oh, yeah, sure." Tails said, stepping aside to let her in. He led her to a red couch, one of the few things in the room you could actually sit on comfortably.
"My name is Riona, daughter of Tikal." she said. "I'm on a quest, to find the 7 Chaos Emeralds, and to protect them from those who wish to use them for evil."
"Tikal?" Tails said, remembering the name.
She was the one that sealed Chaos away in the Master Emerald. The girl in front of her certantly looked like Tikal, which is why she looked familiar. But Riona didn't look any older than 16. She was far too young to be her daughter.
"How can you be her daughter?" he asked. "You're too young."
Her eyes trailed to the tailsman she wore. She brought her hand up and curled her hand around it.
"This tailsman was one I found when I was 16. My mother sealed Chaos away 15 years prior to that. It's power keeps me at the same age as long as it's around my neck, as well as quickly healing any wounds I may sustain." she said. "After what happened with Chaos and the space colony ARK, I dedicated my life to finding the emeralds. My body is like a living emerald tracker, and I can sense when an emerald is close."
Her eyes went around the room, landing on the safe in the corner.
"Like the one you have in the safe." she continued. "Chaos is power, and power is enriched by the heart. The controller is the one that unifies the Chaos. But if evil has them, the only thing that comes is death and destruction."
But then her gaze went to the ground.
"My tribe labeled me as a witch, because of the tailsman's power, and banished me from the tribe. I have been living alone ever since." she finished.
Tails put a comforting arm around her, giving her a small hug. Riona looked up in his eyes and smiled at him. Tails felt himself blush slightly at her smile.
"What's your name, anyway?" she asked.
"Miles Prowler, though most people call me Tails." he said.
"I can see why," Riona said, glancing at his two tails. "You know, you are kind of cute for a two tailed fox."
He blushed even deeper. To tell the truth, he kind of liked her, ever since she walked in the door. And she was closer to his age than Cream ever will be.
"I...I think you're cute too," he said, stammering a bit.
"A little shy, are we?" she said, as she leaned forward to kiss him.
He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back. She fell backwards on the couch and they continued kissing.
His kisses moved down to her neck, and she tilted her head to allow him. He took off the headband and necklace, but was stopped when he went for the tailsman.
"If that is taken off, I'll automatically age to my true age, and it can't be reversed." she said.
He nodded, as he went back to her neck. She moaned a bit, as she felt the gentle kisses on her neck. 6 months later...
Tails walked out of the workshop and sat down next to it. He watched the sun set, as he thought of the night he had with Riona. He sighed and smiled, thinking back to it.
Riona watched from a nearby ledge. She smiled, as her eyes went downwards, and a hand went to her swollen belly, rubbing it gently.
She carefully glided down to the ground, and went to the jungle, soon disappearing in the trees. She knew that she would never forget the passionite night she spent with him
