#1 of Get Backers

Another story series me and my good friend Catstihx came up with. Me and him are pretty much retrievers willing to get back anything and everything. It's a fun little series we are having fun with. And we hope you have fun reading it as much as we had making it. Lets us know what you think.

Trent had a smile on his face as the window installers wiped the glass off after placing it in the sill.

"There you go Mr. Kingston. All set."

"Thank you my good man. Have a good day!"

Trent watched the two bulls hop into their van and drive off. He turned around to see the window again. It read: Get Backers. We retrieve everything and anything. He placed a now open sign before walking into the office. It was a plain old office, nothing special. Two maple desk, each with a monitor on it were by the walls. A couch for the customers was on the left side of the wall right next to the water cooler. Pictures of landscapes and waterfalls lined the walls making it look some what comfortable. A welcome mat was in the door along with a bell chime.

"We are open for business! I hope the paper put our ad in it. Carlo better be true to his word."

He took a seat in the comfy leather chair and put his paws up on the desk, reclining and purring happily. His ears perked as the back door opened and a black wolf walked out, taking a seat at the other desk, cup of tea in his paws.

"We're officially open buddy boy! Aren't you excited?"

The wolf was quiet, eyes closed as he sip his tea peacefully. Trent rolled his eyes before standing up.

"Look, our dream came true man."

"Your dream, not mine. I'm only here to get paid," the wolf said calmly.

"Geez, you're such a buzz kill."

He walked over to the window and looked out as people were going about their daily business. He couldn't wait to get his first customer. He never thought about doing this kind of thing. But sometimes, people can't wait for the boys in blue. So that's where he would come in. It took a lot of arm pulling, but he got the licenses that would over ride police authority to a certain extent. Took a while to get the guild to approve him, but they finally did. Most police didn't have the time or resources for certain cases. Thus the people would be directed towards people like Trent. The police hated it cause it made a bit more paperwork for them but it helped them out in the long run. The licenses even allowed them to take justice into their own hands if the circumstances.

"And just think, we might even find the perfect girl for us."

"Not interested," the wolf replied.

"You lie. I know you want someone. You can't keep bringing random people here for a fling."

"Who died and left you the boss of me?" the wolf replied, opening his teal eyes and staring at the black cat.

Trent held his hands up before speaking.

"I'm just trying to help Devil. I would hate to see you catch something."

Devil snorted before finishing his tea. Trent sighed knowing he wasn't going to win. Oh well, he wasn't going to let him bring his happiness down. He took a seat before clicking on the TV that was on the wall as a game show was playing. The business was open. Now all he had to do, was wait.

///////

The college campus was lively as kids sat in the grass chatting, eating lunch, or enjoying the nice day. The raccoon was reading her book when somebody grabbed her from behind making her yelp in surprise.

"Gotcha," the roo said with a playfully grin.

"Dammit Jamaal. You trying to give me a heart attack," the coon said, pushing Jamaal as he laughed away.

"I'm sorry beautiful. You seemed so lost that I had to bring you back to reality."

The coon let out a humph before crossing her arms angrily. Jamaal finished snickering before rubbing her shoulders.

"I'm sorry Anna. Forgive me?"

"No," Anna said angrily

"Please? If not I'll go to plan two to make you forgive me," Jamaal grinned.

Anna stayed quiet making Jamaal smile. He reached over and started tickling her making her yip in laughter.

"Forgive me?" Jamaal said, paws tickling her sides non stop making her gasp for breath.

"Okay......okay.....you win. I.....forgive....you," Anna barked out in laughter.

Jamaal smiled before pulling her into his lap and giving her a kiss which she returned with a smile.

"Tickle jerk," she grinned, bopping his nose.

"You know you love me," Jamaal smiled.

Anna rolled her eyes but cuddled into Jamaal's chest as he hugged her.

"So what you up to?" Jamaal asked.

"Was studying until your tickle torture."

"Sorry babe."

"It's okay. What are you up to besides terrorizing little old me?"

"Skipping physics. Don't feel like having a headache."

She chuckled at that before giving him a kiss then easing out of his grasp to finish reading. He curled his arms around her waist and nibbled her neck making her shiver.

"There's a party tonight at Anthony's. Wanna go with?"

"I don't know. I know how wild this parties of his gets."

"Relax. I'll make sure everybody's on their best behavior. I'll be your bodyguard."

"Well, since you put it like that. I guess I'll go. What time is it?"

"It starts at eight but everybody will be there by seven."

"Okay."

She looked at her watch and saw he had about ten minutes to get to class. Packing her stuff in her bag, she gave her boyfriend a kiss before getting up.

"I'll see you tonight babe."

"I'll be waiting," Jamaal said giving her rear a pinch making her jump.

A sliver car was parked down the street with tinted windows. The occupants inside watched her walk away.

"You think she'll be worth anything?"

"Of course. Somebody will always want a girl just for sex and she'll be perfect.."

"Okay. I'll tell Gordan to get her tonight.."

///////

Trent let out a sigh as he locked up for the night. The first day went just as he planned. He got one client and it was for a single retrieval. Wife wanted her wedding ring back from her cheating husband. It was simple, except the fact that the husband had ties with gangs. Nothing he couldn't handle though by himself. He wasn't your ordinary feline. He had special a special ability that helps him in a pinch. The ability to see a few seconds into the future and know what was coming. You may be thinking that's cool and all. But it came at a cost. The longer he looked into the future, the more damage and drain it did to his body. He only over used it twice, both times relying on luck to come out of it alive. That and a hell of a lot of bullets.

That wasn't his only ability. He was a damn good shot with the twin guns he carried. One was a custom made Colt Python with custom bullets. One shot by this this and you won't be getting up for a long time. The other was your standard 9mm with an extended clip. He rarely had to reload cause his shots were dead on target. And with the amount of dead bodies he leaves in his wake, he got his nickname, Reaper. He tried not to leave that many dead bodies. It wasn't his fault they walked into his line of sight. Devil always frowned on that cause it seemed like a waste.

"Hopefully we'll have better luck tomorrow."

He headed to the back where the stairs leading up to the apartment were. Walking up, he plopped down on the couch and let out a sigh. Grunting and moaning caught his ears as he shook his head.

"He's gonna catch something with all those people he brings home. No matter. I feel like celebrating with a drink."

He would tell Devil where he was going, but the deep growls and slamming of the head board on the wall told him that would be a bad idea. Last time he tried, he disturbed a heavy orgy. On the down side, seeing Devil come home with all those random people reminded him that he was lonely. Grabbing the keys, he made his way to Club Ultimate. It was packed as usual, but what do you expect on a Friday. After showing his ID, he weaved through the large crowd before taking a stool at the bar.

"Hey Diana!!"

The zebra barkeep turned around and gave a smile when she saw Trent.

"Well if it isn't my favorite kitty. What brings you around here?"

"Celebrating the opening of my business and first client."

"Well congrats. You finally got your dream up and running. Victory drink?"

"You know it."

She smiled before filling a glass with soda and sliding it to him. He gave her a smile before taking a healthy sip with a purr before letting out a burp. She leaned on the counter, squeezing her breasts together in her shirt before locking her diamond colored eyes on his.

"So how've you been doing cutie?"

"Pretty good. How about yourself?"

"Oh, I'm getting by. Still miss your purring at night."

Trent blushed at that making Diana giggle. They were an item at one time before breaking up and deciding to be just friends.

"Oh yeah, you ever hear back from that girl you lost?"

Trent went quiet at that, smile fading. The girl in question was Nei. She had his heart and soul until that faithful day. Diana frowned seeing his happy features turn sad.

"Forget I brought it up. Your friend was here earlier and left with another girl."

"I heard," Trent said, remembering the banging of the head board.

"Where did you find him anyway? He's a weird sort of a duck."

"Haha, you don't know the half. But I'll tell you."

/////

It was my first attempt at the retrieval business. It was a simple job that the police wanted me to handle. A routine file grab job as I heard it described to me. Get in, grab the file and leave. I arrived at the pier and the warehouse where the file was suppose to be located at. What they didn't tell me, was that this file was going to be heavily guarded. But it didn't matter to me. I wanted to avoid confrontation if possible, but you know how I operate. Silent isn't me. So, I pretty much let myself into the front door. After dropping the last of the guards, I saw a figure up on the roof holding my file and giving me a two finger salute. Whoever it was, must've used my flashy entrance to nab the file. So I dashed after the person. Whoever it was, was pretty damn fast cause they were jumping from rooftop to rooftop with ease. I trailed the person to another warehouse and cornered them.

"Alright buddy. Hand over that file."

"Sorry. Can't do that," the person said.

I raised my gun towards the person and bared my teeth.

"Look, don't make this hard. You already seen what I can do. Just give me the file and you can keep living."

The person chuckled before shaking their head.

"You may have killed backwater muscle for hires, but you'll find me a tad harder and more experienced."

I gripped the handle on my gun harder. Whoever this person was, was testing my patience quickly.

"I won't ask nicely again buddy. Give me the file, or I take it from your cold paws."

"Try it."

I pulled the trigger, only to hear the sound of a ping as the assailant brought out this sword and deflect my bullet like it was nothing. Then he took a step and literally disappeared. I mean vanished like a ghost. Then the next thing I knew, there was something sharp touching my neck making me freeze.

"Like I said, you'll find me a lot harder."

"Who are you?"

"None of your concern."

"Looks like you're pretty tough. Guess I have to up the ante."

I had to use my ability to see what this person was gonna do. It was probably the only thing that I had to give me some kind of advantage. Luckily, I got the person from behind and slowed their momentum.

"You have an unique ability. Not many people can stand up against me."

"I should say the same about you. What's your name? If I may ask?"

"Devil."

"Devil huh? How about we team up? We can earn some pretty good money if we put our skills to good use."

Devil stood there for a second, almost like a statue before nodding.

"I'm with you until I feel the need to move on. Is that satisfactory to you?"

"Fine with me," I said before holding out my paw.

Devil looked at me before walking up and shaking.

"But there is still one small matter. I need that file to give back to the police."

Devil raised an eyebrow at that.

"Officer Craig?"

"Yes. Wait....don't tell me he sent you as well?"

"Yeah. Ironic wouldn't you think?"

"More like dumb luck. But maybe he did us a favor."

Devil shrugged before tossing me the file and heading for the door.

"Hey where you going? I thought we had a team going?"

"We do. But there are things I need to finish first. Don't worry, you aren't hard to find."

"And that's how our partnership began," Trent said, finishing his drink.

"Wow, sounds like you two do make a good team. If you can stop being such a hot head," Diana chuckled.

Trent chuckled at that before hopping off the stool.

"Thanks for the drinks hun. I'll be sure to come back and visit you."

"I'll be waiting."

//////

Anna finished dressing for the party as she stood in the mirror looking over her appearance. She was wearing a simple pair of jeans and a sweater. Nothing special cause she already had her special man. Grabbing the keys to the door, she headed to Anthony's party. The cool night air made her shiver a little as she walked down the path. For some reason, she couldn't help but get the nagging feeling that somebody was watching her.

"Hello!?" she heard a voice say. "Anybody there?"

She froze at that and looked around.

"Hello?" she said nervously.

"Oh, can you give me a hand please? I had an accident."

She followed the voice to see a deer sitting underneath a tree and leaning on it. Its ankle looked pretty bad as a bike was laying next to him. The front tire was bent and chain was off.

"What happened?" she asked.

"Wasn't paying attention to the road. Hit a deep hole and tumbled down the hill spraining my ankle pretty badly," he said pointing to the hill behind him.

"Biking at this time of night is dangerous, especially that hill."

She went to one knee and touched his ankle making him hiss in pain.

"Sorry. Just wanted to test it. That's really swollen. No walking or biking a bit for you. Come on, I'll help you to your dorm room."

She threw his left arm over her neck and helped him up slowly.

"Thanks. Sorry for the trouble," the deer said, hopping on one leg. "Name's Gordan. What's yours?"

"Anna. And it's no trouble at all. I couldn't leave you out there."

They made their way out to the campus parking lot. As soon as they hit the asphalt, a black van that was parked turned its lights on and sped its way towards them, tires screeching as the sliding door opened.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You crazy or something?" Anna barked angrily.

A few people dressed in all black hopped out and walked over to them.

"Yes, you'll do nicely," one of the said, looking Anna up and down.

"What are you talking.......about?" Anna said before feeling something stick in her neck and liquid applied making her pass out in Gordan's arms.

"The old fake bicycle accident routine?" one of them asked.

"Don't fix what ain't broken"

Gordan handed Anna to two of them as they placed her inside.

"Alright, let's get going."

The van sped off into the street, tires squelching on the asphalt.

//////

Trent let out a yawn as he sat up in his bed, scratching his stomach and rolling his neck around. Getting up, he went out his room to the bathroom and opened the door, only to hear a scream.

"Don't you knock?" the skunk yelled.

"Shit, I'm sorry. I didn't know anybody was in here," Trent said, closing the door quickly.

He went back to his room, a steady growl in his throat. A few moments later, he heard footsteps leading to Devil's room as he headed for the bathroom.

"This shit has to stop seriously," he mumbled.

Flushing the toilet, he washed his hands and began brushing his teeth as he opened the door to see the skunk leaving. She looked at him and stuck her nose up before leaving. Trent rolled his eyes before rinsing his mouth out. Walking past Devil's room, he saw him still under the covers, tail twitching left and right.

"If you want a turn, you'll have to wait," Devil said with his back turned.

"Sorry. I prefer my partners with more curves."

"A hole's a hole. What do you want?"

"I ran into another one of your flings in the bathroom."

"And?"

Trent bared his teeth, claws digging in the wall and shredding the paint.

"You need to cut this shit out for real Devil."

"Duly noted. Now if you don't mind, Heather kept me up all night."

Trent was gonna respond when a long, loud rapping noise caught his attention from downstairs. With a growl, he left Devil's door and headed downstairs. At the front door was a raccoon peering through the tinted doorway.

"Hello!? Please help me!" the coon said.

Trent unlocked the door as the coon busted in and started rambling.

"Hold on sir, calm down. Let me get some coffee going and decent apparel and we can talk."

After getting dressed and a cup of fresh coffee each, they started talking.

"So, how can we help you?" Trent said taking a seat behind his desk.

"My daughter. I think something's happened to her. She's not answering any calls and wasn't in class."

"How do you know something has happened? Maybe she's sick or something."

"She would've called her mother and I and had some food brought to her."

Trent took another sip of coffee before drumming his claws on the desk.

"Why come to us? This sounds like something the police can handle."

"I tried them and they said they would get around to it when they have the time. I need to know something now. I can't wait and find out she's dead in some alley."

The coon took another sip of coffee himself before sighing.

"She means the world to me and my wife. We can pay you whatever you want. Money is no object. The only thing that matters to us is our daughter."

Trent's eyes sparkled at the sound of money as his ears perked.

"Very well mister...."

"Donaldson. Kevin Donaldson."

"Okay mister Donaldson. Let me make out a contract for you before we go any further."

Trent turned to his computer before typing out the contract he needed and printing it out. Stapling the corners, he turned it so Kevin could read it.

"Okay, this contract is for official use to cover our butts and yours in case of legal ramifications. It states that you hire the Get Backers for the whereabouts of your daughter and only your daughter. All expenses will be added to the total amount once the contract is completed, no sooner. If you don't have the money to pay us when the contract is complete, we have all rights to sue you and take it. If this contract is to your liking, sign on the dotted line for me."

Kevin grabbed the pen and signed without hesitation as Trent smiled.

"Okay Mr. Donaldson, you just hired the Get Backers. Now then, what's your daughter's name?" Trent said bringing out his notebook.

"Anna Donaldson. She's twenty two and goes to Vector Community College. She's studying to be an accountant."

"Any known associates?"

"She has a boyfriend by the name of Jamaal. Don't know his last name. He's a decent and very respectable roo."

"You have a picture?"

Kevin pulled out his wallet before producing a picture of Anna with her parents, all smiling. Trent took it and studied it.

"You can have it. I have plenty."

"Thank you. Anyway of getting in contact with you?"

"Of course. Here's my cell number. Its always on," Kevin said writing down his number.

"Alright Mr. Donaldson, we'll be in touch."

"You keep saying we, but there's only one of you."

Trent chuckled at that.

"My partner had a rough night and is sleeping it off. You are in good hands so don't worry about a thing."

"Thank you," Kevin said standing up and shaking his hand. "Please find our baby."

Trent watched him before smiling as he headed upstairs. Devil was in the kitchen drinking tea.

"We got us a job buddy boy!"

"How much?"

"Is that all you care about?"

"Yes."

Trent sighed before joining him at that table.

"What's the job?" Devil asked.

"Finding a missing girl."

"Police not good enough?"

"Doesn't want to wait and hear his daughter was found in an alley somewhere."

Devil sipped his tea before setting the cup down.

"I'll do it for a thousand."

"Jesus Devil. I was only going to ask for a thousand. Five hundred a piece."

"If you want me to do something the police are suppose to handle, I up my rates."

Trent drummed his fingers before sighing.

"Fine."

Devil opened his eyes before nodding.

"So what's the plan?"

"Split up and look for anything at the campus. Do what you do best."

"Don't I always?" Devil grinned.

////////

Anna woke up with a groan, head spinning. Everything was a blur as she tried to remember anything about what happened.

"How are you feeling?" a soft voice said beside her.

She looked up, eyes focusing to see a four tailed kitsune looking at her.

"My head's spinning a lot."

"It's the drug. It'll wear off."

Anna regained her equilibrium before sitting up and examining her surrounding. She was in a large jail cell with several other girls, at least twenty to thirty. They all had collars around their necks with a number on a dog tag. She felt around her neck to feel the same thing.

"What's going on?" she panicked.

"They are selling us off as slaves. More then likely to perverts."

Anna started to check her pockets for her phone.

"Looking for this?" a voice spoke up.

She looked up to see a man holding her phone.

"Give that back you asshole."

"Ohh, you got a mouth on you. You'll make somebody happy with that tongue of yours. The feisty ones always break first."

"Let me out of here and I'll show you feisty."

The man chuckled before biting his thumb, drawing a little blood. He lashed out towards Anna as the blood became a whip, twisting around her neck and pulling her face towards the bars making her yelp and gag.

"Don't make empty threats girl," his smile fading from his face as his eyes glowed. "Otherwise, things might happen that will be out of my hands."

"Let her go," the kitsune said, her eyes glowing lightly.

The man looked at her before sucking his teeth. The blood whip vanished as the door behind him opened and a red dragon walked in wearing an all black suit.

"Are we all set for the auction?" he asked the man.

"Yes. All the girls are ready to go."

"Good. All the buyers will be in town in three days."

"What about the kitsunes? When are we going to sell them off?"

The dragon looked at the cage holding the two and three tails kitsunes before walking over making them huddle together. He reached in and touched one of them by the hair making her whine.

"Leave them alone," the kitsune growled, tails glowing.

The dragon chuckled before walking over to her.

"You, my dear, are going to make somebody very happy."

"Well?" the man said crossing his arms.

"Not until the high stakes people come rolling in. These people are willing to pay big money for furs exotic as these. I bet they are tighter then virgins between their legs. A shame I can't try them on."

"Gotcha."

"In the meantime, grab a couple more girls. Nothing wrong with an extra girl or two."

The red dragon chuckled before taking his leave. The man followed but stopped and looked back at Anna.

"Maybe if I play my cards right, you'll be my personal bitch. Oh the fun we'll have together."

The door closed as Anna went to her knees, tears filling her eyes. The kitsune held her softly as she cried.

"Why is this happening? I want to go home."

"I know child. We all do."

///////

Trent eased the car to a stop as he and Devil got out on the campus parking lot.

"Lets split up and ask around. Maybe somebody seen her," Trent said.

"Fine by me. But no harsh interrogations," Devil said looking at him.

"What are you talking about? I'm a gentleman through and through," Trent grinned.

They headed off in separate directions, Trent taking the dorms and Devil the campus grounds. Trent arrived at her dorm room and knocked lightly. It opened as a honey badger looked at him.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"Yes, is this where Anna Donaldson stayed?"

"Yes, but she's not here right now."

"Do you know where she is?"

"She didn't come back after the party at Anthony's."

That raised a couple of flags in Trent's head.

"Her father sent me to check on her. Mind if I check her stuff out?"

"Sure I guess," the badger said giving him room.

Trent gave a thank you for that and walked inside. The dorm was cozy and well cleaned. He walked over to her desk and examined her stuff laid out. She had pictures of her and Jamaal as well as her mom and dad. He grabbed a picture and studied the roo.

"You know who this is?"

"That's Jamaal Bush, her boyfriend. Those two make the perfect couple. Never fighting and working out their differences. Wish I could have a boyfriend like that," she says.

"Where can I find this Jamaal?"

"Probably at the soccer field. Its in the back of the dorms."

"Thank you kindly."

He left the dorms and went around the back as he heard the sounds of shouting and yelling. The soccer field came into view as several youths were there paying a friendly game and laughing away. He took a seat on the bleachers and watched the game, eyes looking for Jamaal. He spotted the roo playing forward and doing a damn good job. After a while, they all stopped to grab a drink.

"Good stuff Jamaal. Don't see why you don't join the team?" a puma said.

"Not my thing," Jamaal said with a smile.

Trent walked over as Jamaal was wiping the sweat off his brow.

"Hey Jamaal," Trent said with a smile.

Jamaal looked at him before smiling.

"What's up? What can I do for you?"

"Just wanted to ask you a few questions if that's okay?"

"Sure but make it quick. I need to get back out there."

"Not a problem. You know Anna Donaldson?"

Jamaal chuckled at that.

"Of course I do. I better know her if I'm sleeping with her everyday."

"Great. Then you can tell me where she is."

"What do you mean?" Jamaal said looking at him.

"Her father came me asking for her whereabouts. You sure you haven't seen her?"

Jamaal's face went pale.

"I was wondering why she never showed up for the party or responded to my texts. I thought she just forgot or fell asleep studying like she usually does."

Trent looked at him, studying his face.

"So you don't know where she's at?"

"Of course not! If I knew, I would tell you wouldn't I?"

"My apologies. But if you do hear from her, tell her her father is looking for her."

Trent turned and left the way he came, arms crossed. "So the boyfriend doesn't know anything. Should've figured that but doesn't hurt to ask. Hopefully Devil's got something." He walked back towards the car and leaned on the hood, looking around the parking lot. Something caught his attention as he saw the tires track. Walking over, he knelt down and examined it. "Somebody sped out of here in a hurry. Maybe my friend in the police station could id these tracks."

"Find something?" Devil asked.

"Tire tracks."

"Could be anything. We are at college with a bunch of hormone pumped up teenagers and hot rides."

"Never know. You know me, I'm always the cautious type."

Devil barked a laugh at that.

"You, cautious? That'll be the day."

Trent ignored him, snapping a few pictures with his phone.

"I'm going to have Ford run the tire marks and see if he can find anything."

"Fine by me. I'll hang out here and check out the cheerleaders," Devil grinned, tail wagging happily.

"Just don't get any ideas. Some of these girls have very big boyfriends."

"Good. I love putting people in their place," Devil smiled, walking away. "I'll be here if you need me, which you better not."

Trent rolled his eyes before hopping back in the car and pulling his phone out.

"Hey Ford, its Trent. Listen, I need a big favor from you."

//////

Anna sat on the wall, legs curled up to her chest as she sighed. The kitsune walked over and sat besides her.

"How are you feeling hun?"

"I want to go home."

The kitsune wrapped her four tails around her and rubbed her shoulders.

"Don't worry hun. Everything will be fine."

Anna let out a growl at that before standing up with a huff.

"How is everything going to be fine? We're trapped here ready to be sold off to old geezers who will do god knows what to us. I'm not a piece of meat."

She started to pace back and forth, hugging her shoulders as the kitsune looks at her.

"You will be fine little one. Somebody will come for you. Have faith."

"Why do you sound so certain about that?"

"Because you have family that are worried about you. I don't."

The kitsune held her head down, tails limp. Anna looked at her before sighing.

"I'm sorry. I just never been in this situation before. I don't even know why this is happening. I've done nothing to nobody."

"None of these girls have done anything either. Worrying about something that's already happen is pointless."

Anna let out another sigh before sitting next to her.

"If I know my father, he'll have the cops looking for me."

"Then you have nothing to worry about."

She looked at the kitsune before giving a smile and a nod.

"I just hope they come quick."

///////

Trent walked into the police station as the cops looked at him. He paid them no mind as he headed towards the forensic department. Walking down the hall, he saw two cheetahs and a lynx chuckling before they spotted him.

"Well look who it is? The self proclaimed wanna be detective."

"And if it isn't the three stooges, stupid, idiot, and asshole."

They all let out a growl at that before the lynx stopped them.

"Ain't worth it. Come on, we have reports to file."

They walked past him, letting out growls as they did.. The lynx stopped and looked back.

"One of these days Trent, you'll end up on the ground with me looking over you."

"Sounds kinky. I'll make sure to bring the toys."

The lynx grunted before leaving as Trent shook his head with a chuckle. He continued down the hall to Ford's office. He gave a few knocks before walking in to see a skinny man typing away at a computer.

"Ford my man. What's happening?"

Ford's emerald eyes looked up before back at the screen.

"You know I get in trouble every time you ask something of me. I can't keep doing this shit Trent. I do have a family to provide unlike your ass."

"I know Ford. I'm sorry but you're the only one I can count on in here," Trent said taking a seat.

Ford let out a sigh before saving his work and looking at him.

"What do you want? And make it quick."

"Thanks man," Trent said, digging out his phone. "I need you to analyze these tire tracks for me."

Ford looked at him, Trent giving him a sad cat look with ears half folded.

"Fine," Ford said, snatching the phone and hooking it up to his computer.

He typed in a couple of sentences as the screen displayed the tire checker program. He extracted the photos from Trent's phone and started the search.

"So, how's the misses Ford? Is she still doing good after the operation?"

"Yes. And what about you? Still trying to find that one girl whose family almost did you in?"

Trent went quiet at that before nodding his head.

"I'll find her Ford. Then I'll make her explain why she did what she did."

"I think you should find somebody else. Any girl that's crazy enough to let her mother stab me, I want no part of it."

"She had to have a reason. Otherwise she wouldn't have let it happen. And when I find her, you can bet your ass I'm going to find out."

Ford chuckled at that before the computer beeped. He looked at the screen before typing away.

"Looks like your tire came back with a match. Owner is a one Dennis Gordan. Address is Fifteen sixty Alewife Brook Parkway."

"Thanks man. I owe you one."

"Yes you do. Now stop coming here dammit. I want to be able to get my pension when I retire," Ford said, throwing the phone back to him.

"You know you love me," Trent smiled, sticking his tongue out.

"I love to choke you. Now get out so I can finish what I was doing."

Trent gave a salute before heading back out. Now he had a lead and planned to follow up on it.

///////

The red dragon sat in his chair, claws drumming on the desk. A knock on the door made him look up as the man walked in before taking a seat.

"We are wasting time. We need to get rid of those kitsunes."

The dragon looked at him briefly before looking out the window.

"Not until the high stakes people come in. You want to waste them on a bunch of slime balls who will only pay minimal at best?"

"What are they worth anyway?"

The dragon grinned at that.

"A cool two mill each. That's the starting price we'll set."

"I see. What about the other girls?"

"Those other girls we'll start off at around five hundred each. Those people aren't worthy of the majestic and beauty of a kitsune."

"What's the big deal about them anyway?"

The dragon looked at him before standing up, arms behind his back.

"I'm sure you noticed the power each one of them have?"

"Yeah. That's the only reason I haven't done anything to any of them yet."

"Well imagine that power inside a child. They are the perfect breeding material. And their child will continue the blood line for eons. Thus the reason we start them off so high."

"So in other words, you want to breed an army?"

The dragon turned to him and showed his sharp teeth.

"Now you're using your brains. I knew I hired you for a reason other then bodyguarding."

He walked back over and took a seat, smoothing out his suit and looking at his computer as it beeped.

"Tell Gordan to round up a few more girls. Seems like we have a few more filth then I thought."

"Right," the man said getting up. "Oh yeah, Decker?"

"What?" Decker said looking at him.

"If possible, can I get that raccoon girl? She stirs me up."

Decker chuckled at that before waving him away. The man smiled at that before leaving.

//////

Trent pulled up to said address and stopped about a block away. He checked the surroundings carefully before he spotted the van. Getting out, he made his way carefully over and knelt by the tires, bringing his phone out. He checked the pics against the photo and smiled.

"This is the one."

He checked around before heading to the small apartment complex. Looking at the mailboxes, he spotted Gordan's name on the third floor. Heading up, he stopped at number five and brought one of his guns out, knocking on the door lightly.

"Who the hell is it?" a muffled voice said.

"Landlord. Need to check your fire alarms."

"Fine whatever. Give me a minute."

Gordan opened the door, only to have a gun pointed at him as Trent put a finger on his muzzle telling him to be quiet.

"Have a seat Gordan."

Gordan sat down on his couch, eyes never leaving Trent.

"Now then, you're going to tell me exactly what you know."

Before Gordan could answer, the barrel of the gun goes into his mouth. Trent's smile never fades, if anything it looks more sinister.

"Look, I want to have a nice conversation. And I have no time for your bullshit. So we'll make this fast. You will nod for yes and shake your head for no. Do you understand?"

Gordan begins to shake as he looks into the feline's eyes as he nods.

"Good, off to a great start. Now let's try this again," Trent pulls out a photo. "Do you know this female? Now remember, lying gets you some lead poisoning. Know that your body can only take so much before I decide to really hurt you."

Gordan begins to sweat as he nods vigorously.

"Good. Now this is important. Because if I'm unhappy with the answer to the next question, I will pull the trigger. Is she still alive?"

Gordan nods again as his body begins to shake.

"Good boy. Now, I'm going to pull the gun out of your cute mouth that seems to know how to take a nice, long barrel without gagging because the next question will be about where she is. And nodding yes or no will not work."

Trent removes the gun from Gordan's mouth as he coughs trying to breath again, tears coming from his eyes as he looks at the feline.

"Now loser, where is she at?" Trent asks as he seems to relax, lowering the gun.

At that second, Gordan's thought is to grab the shotgun under the cushions of the couch. As soon his hand reaches for it, Trent aims right by his hand leaving a hole next to the floor.

"You know, I didn't say you could attack me," Trent sighs. "Now if my partner was here, he would do some staring down and maybe use his sword to cut pieces of you off for trying that."

Trent walks over to Gordan and places the hot muzzle on his forehead making him yelp in pain.

"You know this is more fun than it feels for you. I''m having a blast doing this. Now I'll ask again, where is she at?"

"Look I don't know where she's at. But I know she's alive. They keep them alive for the trade."

Trent looks at him for a second when it hits him what he is talking about. He hits him hard with the butt of his gun hard, busting his lip before grabbing him by the neck.

"And just how many girls have you taken away from their families? Ten? Twenty? How can you live with yourself afterwards?"

"I needed the money. I'm sorry. College was getting to expensive and this guy came up to me offering more money then I would ever make."

"Then you're going to contact them right now!"

"I don't contact them. They call me when they need a girl picked up."

"Your cell, where is it?"

Gordan nods towards the nightstand next to the couch as Trent recovers the cell. Trent scrolls through the names before it starts to ring. He tosses it to Gordan who fumbles with it.

"Answer it. And if I don't like the answers you give, bang."

Gordan hits the answers button and holds it to his ear.

"Hello? Yeah I'm here. When? Okay, I'll be right there."

He hangs up and looks at Trent.

"That was my mom. I need to go."

"Well, family comes first. But just remember, I'm coming back here for that answer," Trent smiles. "Oh yeah, I'll be taking this. Wouldn't want you to shoot yourself in the foot."

Trent takes the shotgun before leaving and heading to his car. He gets in, waiting for Gordan to make a move. He didn't have to wait long as Gordan leaves the building and hops into his van. Starting it up, he burns rubber down the street.

"Mom must be really in trouble," Trent chuckles before following him.

He kept a close eye on the van, making sure to stay back a good ways. It turned down Green street as Trent followed, only to stop as somebody was standing in front of him.

"Hey buddy, you want to get out the way?"

The man smiled before holding out both hands to his side to show he was unarmed. But that didn't stop Trent from ducking out the car as the whip that appeared cut the roof off with ease.

"Hey asshole, I just got this detailed."

All the man did was smile before turning his back and walking away. Trent gave a snarl and pulled out one of his guns.

"I wouldn't try that if I were you," the man said calmly.

"Well you're not me."

Trent fired a couple of rounds as the man moved quicker then his ability could pick up. The whips the man holds crack violently as the gun Trent was holding drops from his hand. He let out a grunt as his neck was grabbed.

"Why are you here kitty? Are you a lost stray or something?"

He lifted Trent up easily, feet dangling a little off the ground.

"Come back when you present a challenge. Just because you have a gun, doesn't make you a fighter."

He tossed Trent hard onto the car knocking the breath out of him. When Trent looked up, he was gone. He let out a few coughs before getting to his feet.

"Perfect. What next?"

He rubs his throat as he feels like a rookie being tossed around like that. He didn't see the guy as a threat so he didn't use his ability to see what was going to happen next. His father always told him to use all your tools all the time. Otherwise, you'd end up as another victim. He looked at his car and let out a sigh. This was gonna cost a pretty penny to fix.

He got a cab back to the office, slamming the door hard with a growl and headed up the stairs. He heard giggling from the front and saw Devil with a cute cattle dog in his lap.

"Where the hell were you when I tried calling for a ride back?"

Devil looked at his phone and saw that he had several messages from Trent.

"Sorry. Turned my phone off so I wouldn't be disturbed with Lucy here," Devil said calmly.

Trent looked at the cattle dog, eyes narrowing making her shiver a little.

"I think I should go," she said.

"That would be a good idea," Trent said sarcastically.

"But we haven't even started," Devil whined.

"Maybe next time. You have my number cutie," she smiled, giving Devil a wink.

Devil watched her leave before growling and looking at Trent.

"What the fuck man?"

"Some partner you are. I'm out there trying to find this girl while you do nothing but get your cock wet."

Devil rolled his eyes before standing up and stretching.

"I was following some jackass responsible for the kidnapping when some jerk appeared out of nowhere and blocked my path. And also wrecked my car."

"So take him out then. No need to scare off my date because of your ineptness."

"I couldn't," Trent growled before taking a seat and hitting the table.

Devil looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Somehow my ability was useless. I even pushed myself a little but couldn't do anything. Now the only lead to Anna is gone and more girls are going to be kidnapped and sold to slavery."

Devil's ears perked at that before growling.

"My apologies. I'll see where they are being held at," Devil said, heading for the door.

"And how are you going to do that?"

"I have my ways. I'll be in touch."

///////

Gordan pulled the van into the warehouse and got out along with his buddies as they carried two girls to the cage. Decker watched with a smile before walking up to Gordan.

"Nice job. Here's your pay."

He was about to accept the envelope when a whip snatched it out of hands. They both looked at the man with confusion.

"Care to explain Wraith?" Decker said.

"He was followed. But luckily, I stopped him."

Decker's eyes looked at Gordan who shivered.

"You were followed?"

"I wasn't followed," Gordan said with a little nervousness. "I made sure of that," he added with a growl.

Decker looked at Wraith who's face was impassive before nodding his head.

"I'm more inclined to believe Wraith then you. Wraith, you know what to do," Decker said leaving.

"Wait a minute. I haven't been followed. Why don't you believe me?" Gordan barked.

"I believe you," Decker stopped and turned around. "I just don't like to take chances."

Gordan watched him leave before he felt a chill come up his spine. He turned slowly to see Wraith walking up to him, a sinister smile on his face.

"Look man, you can keep the money. I'll just leave town and you never have to worry about me again. Cool deal right?"

"Sorry. Mr Decker's orders are absolute," Wraith said shrugging his shoulders.

The whip in his hand glowed a bright white. Gordan panicked and started to run towards the van. He jumped in and started the engine, only to let out a gasp. Standing there in front of him was Wraith. Gordan gritted his teeth and hit the gas, hoping to run him over. Wraith smiled as he lashed his whip forward, smoothly cutting the van in half. Gordan tumbled out and scrambled to his feet. He didn't get far as the whip went down his body, head first to the floor. Blood spilled out everywhere as Anna and the girls let out a scream as Gordan's body split in two parts.

"I love the sound of that. Makes me feel alive."

Wraith walked over to the still twitching body of Gordan and went to one knee. He dipped his finger into the warm blood pool before taking a lick.

"Not a bad flavor. Never had a deer before."

His eyes met the terrified gaze of Anna and smiled.

"Don't worry beautiful. I would never harm such a beautiful flower such as yourself. Your pain would only intensive into pleasure."

Decker walked out and raised an eyebrow.

"Must you mess up my warehouse?"

"Apologies," Wraith said with a small bow of his head.

"Get the girls ready. Buyers are getting anxious and want their product."

"Understood."

Decker smiled before leaving and stopping short.

"Oh yeah, have the kitsunes moved to my personal warehouse where nothing can go wrong. I want to be cautious with that screw up."

Wraith bowed his head as Decker left. He looked at the girls again as he cracked his whip, burning the cement making them jump.

"Alright ladies, time to make yourself presentable for your new owners."

///////

Devil arrived at the downtown area, avoiding the hustle and bustle of the pedestrians walking around him. He turned and opened the door to a small thrift shop at the corner of the block and walked in. At the front counter was a meercat showing off a nice keyboard to a hawk.

"Are you sure its going to work?" the hawk asked, looking at the electric keyboard on the counter.

"Positive sir. Here, be my guest and try it out," the meercat said taking it out the box and plugging it in.

The hawk started playing, fingers moving deftly over the keys as the music played vibrantly.

"Wow, there is some great sound coming out of this. I can't believe the other owner tossed this. How much do you want?"

"For you sir, thirty."

"Deal."

"Excellent. Let me put it back in the box and let you be on your way."

The meercat placed the keyboard back in the box and made the transaction with a smile.

"Have a good day sir."

He looked at the door before seeing Devil and scowling.

"Oh its you," he said with a bit of sarcasm.

"Nice to see you to Dunn."

"What do you want?"

"I need info Dunn. And you can get it better then anybody else I know."

Dunn looked at him, his turquoise eyes looking into Devil's teal. With a grunt, he walked over to the front door putting an 'Out to Lunch' sign on it before locking the door. Walking back, he motioned Devil to follow as they made their way to the back. Stepping into his office, he took a seat behind his desk and crossed his arms.

"Talk," Dunn said flatly.

"Somebody's kidnapping girls to use as slaves. I need to know who and if possible, where."

"I see. Since when have you developed a conscious? The Devil I remember was a horny, lone wolf with an appetite to screw anything that walks."

Devil's eyes narrowed before giving a grin.

"Let's just say, a co worker of mine is making me see things. But don't mistake that weakness for anything else. I still screw anything that walks."

"You got a partner? I thought you didn't work good with anybody?"

"I don't. There are times I want to kill him, but I find myself holding back."

Dunn chuckled at that.

"Wow, whoever this person is must be good. I have to meet him now."

"He has his moments. But what about my request?"

"Very well. Let me get my associate."

He opened his top drawer and pulled out a small bell and rang it twice. The lights flickered on and off a few times as a small ball of yellow of light floated in the room and landed on the desk.

"You rang master?" it spoke up.

"Yes. I need to know if anything is happening around the black market. Use my computer."

"Yes master."

The ball of light entered the computer making the screen flash as lines of code appeared.

"You still have Sherri I see," Devil said sitting back in the chair.

"Of course I do. You think I would part with my lovely lady?"

Dunn kicked his feet up before chuckling.

"While she's looking, have you found somebody to settle down with?"

"Why? Plowing the same hole over and over gets old."

"You're going to catch something. Then you'll be sorry."

"Haven't caught anything yet," Devil grinned.

"Then you're one lucky bastard."

The computer beeped as Dunn looked at it.

"Hmm, not much of anything going on."

"Read them off."

"Lets see, you have a chop shop selling boot cars. An underground art auction is happening in Harvest City."

Devil rubbed his chin before speaking.

"Look for anything out of the ordinary."

Dunn looked at the list before something caught his eyes.

"Here's a couple. One of them says Super Deals and the other just says Seventh Heaven."

"That's the one. Where's it at?"

"A warehouse down on Cypress Road in the slums of the city where not even the police go. There's a note saying the bidding has been pushed to tonight."

"Well, I'm not the police. And if they are pushing the bidding, that means we don't have much time. Thanks Dunn."

"You owe me."

"You know I'm good for it," Devil grinned before leaving.

He made his way back to the office where Trent was on the phone when he saw Devil walk in.

"Thanks again Rodney," he said hanging up. "Well, they found the guy I was following cut in half so there goes my lead. Where you've you been?"

"Getting info. I found out where they are going to be."

"You have? Where?"

"A warehouse on Cypress Road down in the slums."

Trent smiled at that before standing up, holstering his guns.

"Then lets go clean up the filth and get Anna back to her father."

///////

Decker watched as all the buyers huddled into the warehouse. He tapped the ring on his fingers a couple of times as Wraith stood besides him.

"Look at them all. Nothing but a bunch of leeches. Should kill them all."

"Do you want me to?" Wraith said, a bit of joy in his voice.

"Nonsense Wraith. If you did that, we wouldn't get paid."

Decker smiled before walking out onto the stage.

"Alright everybody, have a seat and we'll begin the auction."

All the people took a seat. There were a lot more then expected, but that's okay. It meant that the bidding would go high and be profitable in the end.

"It seems we have a bigger turnout then expected."

"Well you always seem to get great merchandise," a bison spoke up.

"Don't I always? Now that everybody's here, lets bring out the merchandise."

Wraith snapped his whip causing the girls to hurry up the stairs and onto the stage. They heard the hoots and cheers making them shiver.

"Now then, shall we start the bidding?" Decker said with a smile.

Devil and Trent arrived at the top of the warehouse and looked down into the room.

"There they are. There must be about twenty girls down there. Do you see Anna?" Devil asked.

Trent looked around until he spotted Anna.

"There she is."

"So what's the plan?" Devil asked.

"We save them all. Let's go."

Devil grabbed Trent by the shoulder and spun him around.

"That's not in the contract Trent."

"Damn the contract. Those are helpless girls down there being ready to sold away like pieces of meat. I refuse to let that happen."

"Its not always about you."

"Look, I'm going down there and saving those girls, with or without you."

Devil looked at him before grunting.

"Do you even know who that dragon is along with his bodyguard?"

"No. But I couldn't hit him even if I tried," Trent said with a growl.

"That would be Wraith. He's not your typical bad guy. He has the ability to be just that, a wraith. Untraceable to the naked eye. You wouldn't have stood a chance anyway."

Trent rolled his eyes at that.

"And what about the dragon?"

"That would be Decker Greystone. Willing to sell anything and everything. But don't let that calm expression fool you. There's a lot of power underneath that suit. So don't take any chances."

Trent smiled at that before chuckling.

"You forget who I am?"

"Not really. You're still an asshole who gets on my last nerve," Devil grinned. "Now, what's the plan?"

"I'm going through the front. You do what you do best."

"I'll wait for your signal."

Trent nodded before hurrying across the roof and hopping down to the floor where a few bodyguards were standing post. They jumped when he landed and raised their guns.

"Who the fuck are you pal?" one of them said.

"Oh I'm just your friendly neighborhood watch cat."

"A wise ass huh?"

"And proud of it."

They were about to fire when Trent appeared right besides them, gun pointed at their heads and a sinister smile on his face.

"Now, you guys are in violation of plenty of laws. So, I'm gonna do a favor and do a citizen's arrest on you both."

Decker was talking up a storm when two gunshot echoed outside making everybody go quiet. The doors opened as Trent walked in with a smile.

"Is this a private auction, or is anybody invited?"

"Young man, do your parents know you are out this late?" Decker said smoothly.

"Of course they do. But do their parents know they are out this late?" Trent replied looking behind Decker at the girls.

"I don't think that is any of your concern."

"I beg to differ. See, I was hired by Anna's father to bring her back where she belongs. And I'm not just taking her, I'm taking all of them."

Everybody started laughing at that. Trent caught Anna's eyes and just gave her a wink making her blush a little.

"Well, if you haven't noticed little cat. There are twenty of us, and only one of you," Decker smiled.

"Who said I was alone," Trent grinned.

Devil walked out of the shadow in the corner and gave a grin. Some of the buyers recognized him and started to sweat.

"Hey, that's Shadow! Shit, lets get the hell out of here!"

The seats emptied quickly as they ran out the door leaving only a few people, Decker, and Wraith.

"Well, that just leaves five against two. What say you Decker?" Trent grinned.

Decker let out a snarl, his claws digging into the podium he was using.

"You don't know who you're fucking with cat."

"Of course I do. A fucking, pathetic loser who wasn't given enough attention as a baby."

"And a smart ass to boot. Well, we know how to deal with people like that. Don't we boys?"

The three guards left, each with swords on their sides drew them out with smiles on their faces.

"Are you sure you boys don't want to reconsider. There's still time to run out the door and to families that will miss you if you are dead," Trent said softly.

"Mr. Decker is our family cat," a doberman snarled. "And you are not welcomed here."

A flash of power from Devil's katana swept across the room, cutting their swords in half. The guards gave a swallow before looking at Devil who held his weapon at his side, the blade glowing a light purple.

"As I was saying, the door is still open," Trent smiled.

They hesitated a little before high tailing it out the door.

"And then there were two."

Decker slowly took his suit jacket off, his muscles threaten to rip through the shirt he was wearing.

"I would advise you, not to take me lightly cat. Most people tried, and ended up to messed up to be recognized. One more isn't gonna make me lose any sleep."

"Don't be so sure of that," Trent growled, aiming at Decker.

Decker's cool, dark yellow eyes looked at Trent before they flashed briefly. Trent was confused at first until his guns started to heat up making him drop them to the ground. Looking up, he saw Decker coming at him full speed even with his build. He ducked a solid right, feeling the wind from it go past his ear. Thinking he had an opening, he swung his right fist up, only for it to be caught easily. He flinched feeling the pressure Decker was applying.

"I'm not even using my full strength."

"And I'm not using my full strength."

Decker chuckled before letting go and putting his hands behind his back.

"Then show me kitty cat."

Trent growled at that before taking a stance.

"Come on at me big guy."

Decker's eyes narrowed before coming at him. This time, Trent was ready for him with a smile. Decker was being rocked with staggering rights and left, even before he could make a move. A solid uppercut made him stumble backwards before catching himself as he rubbed his muzzle.

"It seems you have some skills. I could offer you a job with me."

"Already have a job. Making people like you disappear."

Trent let out a small grunt, as he starts to feel light headed. This was too soon. He only used it twice today, yet now he was feeling the side effects of his power. He had to finish this quickly, or else he wouldn't survive another onslaught. The next time he used his power he would start bleeding and he would really be at a disadvantage. There had to be something he could do or use to take out this walking tank.

"A shame. You could make millions under my payroll. But if that's the way you want, so be it."

Decker took a boxer stance, dancing on his toes. Trent stood ready, head spinning. Whatever Decker was planning, it was gonna be painful. Decker came at him full speed, this time faster than before. Trent did his best, but couldn't dodge them all, feeling his body taking blow after blow before tumbling over some chairs and holding his side.

"Shame. I was expecting more from you since you seem to be a retriever. Yet you seem to be a one trick pony. Even than you seem not to be good at much else. Without your guns you are nothing." Decker says mockingly.

Trent grunts in pain before coughing up a little bit of blood. There was one other option, but it was very risky considering his condition. But at the moment, it was the only thing he could think of. He stumbled to his feet and looked at Decker with a smile.

"One trick pony huh? You know, I do actually have one more trick up my sleeve."

"And you actually think I'm gonna let you try it? You've already cost me enough time and money. So unless you can come up with the money that I'm going to lose because of this little hero show, I'm going to pull you apart slowly."

"And how much would that be?" Trent smiled weakly.

"Twenty fine young girls will run you about two million."

"Cash or charge?"

Decker eyes narrowed at that.

"You know what, I changed my mind. A smart mouth like you would get on my last nerve."

Decker open his hands as his claws started to glow black. Trent gritted his teeth. This would call for perfect timing. He would feel this in the morning, but it would be worth it for this piece of shit.

"This game is over, mister retriever."

Decker came at him again as Trent readied himself. He would only get one shot. Decker lashed out at him, claws slicing cleanly through the chairs before melting. He managed to dodge them all before tripping over a chair and falling on his back.

"Say goodbye."

"Goodbye," Trent growled.

He held his hand out as a bright flash of light appeared making Decker close his eyes. When he opened them, he was staring at the barrel of a gun he never seen before. Trent gave a smile as the gun started to glow. Pulling the trigger, the gun hums before a blast of energy comes fourth and pierces Decker's chest leaving a gaping hole. Decker stumbles backwards in surprise, looking down as smokes comes from the new hole in his body.

"Im....pressive," Decker gags out, going to one knee. "You are.....more than.....meets the eye."

He drops to the ground, blood pooling out underneath him. Trent held his stomach, feeling his body wanting to tear itself apart. He felt somebody above him as he pointed the gun at the person, only to feel his arm get grabbed.

"You know, I'm getting sick of you pointing your gun at me," Devil growled.

Trent couldn't help but crack a smile through the pain as Devil helped him up gently. Police sirens could be heard in the distance as Trent looked around.

"Where's Wraith at?"

"Got away," Devil said with a growl. "I'll meet him again."

The police cars stopped on a dime as officers hurried out.

"Good timing Rodney," Trent said looking at the warthog.

"Seems like we always miss the party with you."

"What can I say, I throw one hell of a party."

Rodney chuckled before looking at Decker's body.

"Well, looks like Decker Greystone won't be doing business anymore here. This is gonna be one fun report to file. We've been trying to get him for awhile "

"Sorry I can't help. I'm feeling a little under the weather as you can see."

"Not a problem. We'll see that the girls get back to their homes safe and sound."

"Thanks Rodney."

"Do we get a reward for this?" Devil sounds hopeful as Trent looks at him as with a pissed look.

"Damn greedy bastard."

//////

Trent was typing away at his computer, Devil sipping his tea as the door opened, letting Anna and Kevin in. They took a seat near Trent as he smiled.

"Thank you for helping me and my daughter," Kevin said.

"All in a days work," Trent replied with a smile. "Now that we kept the contract up, we'll talk about pay."

"Yes of course. How much do we owe you?"

"Fifteen hundred," Devil spoke up.

Trent growled angrily at him before correcting him.

"Only a thousand sir. That'll cover everything."

Kevin smiled before writing out a check and handing it to him. Trent smiled before signing another paper and handing it him.

"That's a receipt for everything. No refunds sadly."

"No refunds needed. You brought our daughter back and that's all that matters," Kevin said hugging Anna making her giggle.

They stood up before Anna stopped and turned to Trent.

"Oh yeah. Do you think I can hire you?"

"For what my lady?" Trent asked curiously.

"To help a friend that helped me while I was held hostage."

"You mean she wasn't with you and the other girls?"

Anna shook her head, closing her eyes. Trent folded his arms before leaning back in his chair.

"Well can you give me a name?"

"She didn't say. All I know was she was a kitsune. That's what that the dragon said."

Trent smiles as he looks at Anna.

"I will do my best to find her for you. I can tell she means a lot to you if you want me to find her."

"She helped me out in the cell we were in. I just hope she is doing okay."

"Just so you know, the odds are not in our favor. Kitsune trade is worse than the normal slave trade. There are some high rollers who will hide them from everyone."

"Just promise me you'll do your best?"

"You have my word."

Anna smiled at that, tail wagging happily as she hurried over and hugged Trent. She let go and gave his cheek a kiss before heading out the door with her father. Devil let out a growl as he looked at Trent.

"And again, I get cheated."

"Oh relax. Did you see how happy she was to be back with her parents?"

"Well excuse me for not being so bubbly."

Trent rolled his eyes before standing up, grabbing his light jacket and heading for the door.

"I'm gonna deposit this in the bank. Hold down the fort for me."

Devil gave him the finger as Trent chuckled. He walked down the sidewalk, head in thought. I wonder if this kitsune is the same as Nei? Oh well, I'll find you Nei. Then me and you will have a nice long talk.
