I was falling. The world changing from white to grey. Turning I see the ground; preparing myself I hit the ground on my hands and feet. Pushing myself to standing I stretch hearing some bones crack. I look around as I walk onto a dirt path seeing light snow swirling around.

"Is this the right place this time?" my ears twitch as I hear running foot steps coming towards me "I guess coming through didn't go unnoticed"

I dust off my dark purple pants and adjust my matching scarf around my neck and down to my knees turning towards the approaching person. Seeing a big panda running up I raise my paw to wave but he gives me a look and comes at me swinging at my head. I duck spinning around him watching him as he turns back.

"Hey.. Thats not a very nice way to greet people" "How are you still alive? Doesn't matter, knowing you you're just here for revenge." "For what?" I tilt my head confused; dodging more of his punches and kicks aimed at my head and torso "I don't even know you"

"What.. but you're" I miss the end as I sense too late an attack from behind from someone else and black out.

I woke up in a room laying on a cot. I sit up my head still hurting slightly. "What happened?" I groan rubbing my head. "Po said you collapsed on the road to the valley so he brought you here" Startled I turned to see a red panda standing in the door. "You mean that panda?" "Yes. And he wasn't wrong. You do look a lot like Tai Lung" "I.. I am Tai Lung." I look at him confused. "But thats impossible. Po took care of Tai Lung, and you sound younger than him."

"Well if I am where I think I am, I'm the Tai Lung from here and the one your referring to is not."

"I'm sorry, I don't follow"

"My memory of when I was a child is a bit foggy, but I remember when I was about five I was woken up in the middle of the night. I turned and saw it was me standing in the door. Before I knew what was happening I was pushed through a portal of some kind, but there was a problem. There wasn't anything on the other side; just grey with no edges. After a long time a blue orb of fire came up to me, it said I was in the in between. It said I couldn't leave and that I would be stuck there for awhile, and that I wouldn't age, or need food or anything so I didn't need to worry about dying. It was a long, long time before I got out and when I did I was in what I would say is a different dimension. It took years but I eventually was able to make a portal in a way that would avoid the in between and I got back here."

"So how old are you?"

"I think about 21, but I have no idea how long I was stuck in the in between."

"I see. You look tired, I'll leave you to get some rest."

"Wait, whats your name?"

"I am Master Shifu." he said before walking off.

'Why does that sound familiar' I thought before falling asleep.

I was on a stone slab floating in a void with no idea where I was or how I got there. I looked around seeing other rocks an land masses of varying sizes floating around.

"Took you long enough to get back here" I turned, hearing a deep voice, to see a dark figure standing behind me.

"Hmm.. Since everyone here thought I was dead I assume you're the one who took me away from this place."

"Yes. As you seem to have heard that didn't end well." He said slowly walking towards me.

"Yeah.. That cute panda killed you right. Though judging by your aura you deserved whatever you got." I smirk watching his movements.

He growled bearing his claws "You're going to help me weather you want to or not" he appears in front of me grabbing my wrist; a chain with a purple stone on it wrapping itself around my wrist several times. "I'll be seeing you kid" he says pushing me off the edge.

"Naaaaahh!!" I yell landing face first on a wooden floor.

"Whats wrong?" the panda said bursting into the room panting lightly.

"Sorry.." I push myself up to sitting on the floor "It was.. just a bad... dream" I say just then noticing the black chain on my wrist still.

"What was it about?" he asked reaching out to help me up.

"I.. was pushed off a cliff by.. someone" I took his paw getting pulled up "Guess I did fall for real at the end there" I blush dusting myself off.

"Well I bet you're hungry now. I could make you lunch if you want" he says smiling at me.

"I'd love to" I smile back following him out to the kitchen.

"I'm Po by the way. You're Tai Lung right, Shifu told me what you said about the one we knew."

"Yeah. You can just call me Tai" I scratch my head feeling a bit awkward.

"Alright the Tai. Hope you like noodles cause thats my specialty" he grins as he starts adding things to a pot.

I sat at the table watching him fiddling with the chopsticks as I wait. "You were told to watch me.. Judging from how fast you were in the room" I look down spinning a chopstick in my paw.

"I ah.. I was just... around.." "Its okay.. I'm used to people not trusting me."

He frowns putting a bowl in front of me "I'm sorry.. its just we don't know you and.." "He did bad things" I finish for him "I get it. I won't mind hanging out with you; I've been alone long enough." I smile eating some of the soup "Wow.. This is really good. Where'd you learn how to cook?"

"My dad owns a noodle shop and he taught me so I could take over some day" he says eating from his own bowl.

"I bet all my friends would love this" I smile lightly finishing it.

"Maybe they could come see you some day and I could make it for them" he smiles at me finishing himself.

"Yeah.. maybe" I look down knowing it wouldn't happen.

"Well I have a little something to do today so if you wanna go for a walk" he said standing up and smiling at me.

"Sure thing" I got up stretching "Wouldn't wanna keep you from anything" I say as we walk to the door.

"I never really thought of it but can you fight?" he asked as we walked through the gates.

"Sure thing" I jab the air a few times and stick my tongue out at him.

"Haha. Just thought I'd ask just incase something happens." "No worries I can take care of myself. Comes with being alone for years" I look down the large set of stairs we were currently walking down "Do you guys have to do this all the time?"

"Ahh don't get me started" he groans.

I laugh and follow him out of the town. Smiling as he tells me about some of the adventures he had. Coming up to a long bridge with fog under the entire thing I run out over it leaning over the edge looking down into it.

"Whoa.. how far down is this?" I ask the bridge swaying under me.

"Uhh.. I'm not sure but I don't think you wanna fall and find out" he says sounding a bit worried.

Grinning as I look over at him "Hey. I'm not that- Ahhhh!" I flip over the rope disappearing into the fog.

"OH NO!" I hear him yell running over and looking down where I fell.

Appearing behind him I laugh lightly "Whats up?"

He gasps turning around and hugging me "I thought you died!" he lets me go looking me over "How'd you do that?"

I blush lightly stepping around him "Magic~" I say in a goofy voice waving my paws around. "Come on I don't know where we're going" I smile Turning around and walking across the bridge.

Coming off the bridge he led us along a path up a few hills up the mountain. Eventually coming to a small house about half way up a mountain he pulls out a small box.

"Whats in there?" I ask looking over at him.

"I didn't look.. well.. actually its locked"

I take it shaking it a little hearing something inside "It sounds metal.." I say lowering it from my ear "Can I deliver it?" I smile up at Po.

"Uhhh sure I don't see why not"

I walk up to the door I knock with Po standing behind me. A wolf opens the door slightly looking out seeing me with the box and Po behind me.

"perfect timing" he says pulling out a knife and jabbing at me.

My instinct kicks in and I block it with the box kicking the door sending him flying in; the knife staying imbedded in the box. My paws light up with a black flame and I throw the box at another wolf standing inside who yelps as it hits his head. Quickly going inside towards the one I kicked in whose picking himself up and punching him in the chest sending him through a window. Turning towards the other one I kick him in the stomach and grabbing his shirt I throw him hard out the now broken window and hear them both yelping.

"I guess you weren't lying about the fighting.." Po says stepping in and looking around.

Rubbing a paw over my head as I calm down seeing them run off into some trees "Yeah.. Who were they expecting to get caught in that trap with only two people here" I laugh awkwardly turning around "C'mon.. lets go back." I march out the door looking down, staying mostly quiet the whole way back. Once back through the village I stop looking up the stairs.

"I don't suppose you could magic us up there.." Po says from behind me

"As long as you don't tell anyone" I smile grabbing his paw "Come on big guy" I pull him slightly and theres a sound of rushing air as we appear at the top of the stairs.

"Wha.. where.." He looks around confused "You actually can.. magic.."

"Keep it between us" I pat his belly smiling, turning around and walking through the gate; my tail swaying behind me.
