#6 of Max & Myles

It has been nearly a week and a half since the young Border collie was bought by his new family. The excitement of owning a new pet wore off at the end of the weekend they picked him up. Now he was lucky to get padded on his head when they dumped his food in the morning. Alone with his thoughts day after day was Fable's reality. Thoughts about his sister, his parents, and his ex-owner ran through the Border collie's overly bored mind as he trotted circles around his rundown dog box. Attempting to chat with the rabbits for some entertainment was only met with silence. Today was just another dull early morning until -

"Hey," Fable heard someone say outside of his dog box. It was something the Border collie could understand, so he knew it wasn't any of the children. He stepped out into the cool spring air and shook the old straw out of his coat before glancing around for the source of the voice. Standing a dog length away from the pine tree was a large black and tan dog wearing a red collar. His long tail was wagging away while his brown eyes were fixed on the young dog.

"Are you new here?" The Shepherd asked. Fable just nervously nodded as the much larger male dog approached him and stepped slightly past the timid dog. A cold nose slipped under his black-and-white tail and took a few deep breaths. "...Oh..." He heard the large dog disappointingly sigh after a few more breaths. He stepped back out in front of Fable before awkwardly looking around. "I... Was kind of hoping you were a female... So what your name pup?"

The Border collie just backed up and blinked at the strange dog. Was he only here to breed females? Why does he get to free roam around?

"Are you all right?" The larger dog asked, but followed it up with another question. "Do you need to sniff my butt before we exchange names?"

"That's okay," Fable finally spoke up as he took another step back. Butt sniffing wasn't really something that he got into. It still seemed like a foreign concept to him. "My name is Fable."

The Shepherd remained silent as he intently looked at Fable's neck. Then he glanced over at the dog box and stared at it for several seconds as well.

"Your dog-tag and doghouse both say Beaver," he pointed out to the young dog when he looked back down at him.

"You can read the human symbols?" Fable asked him a bit shocked. The tan dog just gave him a nod. The Border collie has never heard of another dog that could understand human writings. Then again, he has never spoken to another dog outside of his parents and siblings. "How did you learn to do that?"

"I've picked everything up from being around my humans." The Shepherd coolly answered as he sat down. "Though, I'm still a little slow with reading their letters, but Rome wasn't built in a day."

Fable just tilted his head. What was this Rome?

"The name's Max since you can't read my tag." The tan dog pointed out. He looked like he was going to continue, but his ears perked up as he glanced past Fable.

"DOG!" One of the border collies younger owner squealed. He spun around in time to see the child caring his food in a butter bowl, drop it and storm over to the new dog with his three older brothers. They all roughly petted and rubbed Max's fur the wrong way. All Fable could do was step back and watch in awe at how well he handled them. The Shepherd just wagged his tail and even gave a few of them a lick on their grubby upper paws.

"Kids!" One of their parents hollered from the front of the rundown house.

"Bye doggie!" A younger kid yelled as he beat on Max's head a few more times before joining the other children running to the front of their home.

"Do you have anything I can maybe chew on to get the taste of those kids out of my mouth?" The Shepherd asked.

"You can have my food," Fable answered as he pointed at the spilled container many dog lengths away. "They dropped it when they saw you and it's too far for me to reach..."

"I'm sorry," Max apologized as he dropped his ears a bit. After a moment of awkward silence, the Border collie caught his guest intently staring at the camouflage collar around his neck. "Let me make it up to you since you can't eat because of me."

"How?" Fable asked the large dog padding past him. He was a little afraid of Max taking mouthfuls of his dog food and feeding him like a mama bird.

"Walk all of your slack out of your chain, face your dog box, and lower your head." Max said from the grass surrounding Fable's dirt circle. The Border collie bounced nervously from paw to paw before heading out to the edge of his boundaries. When he got into position by the Shepherd, Max began pushing all around on him with his cold nose. "Head and butt lower and take a step further back."

"Remember, I'm not a female." Fable growled up at the nosy dog.

"I'm not into males pup," Max laughed. After he settled down, the chained down dog held the pose he was sculpted in for a silent moment. Finally the stillness was broken when he felt the Shepherd's jaws grabbed the back of his neck behind his collar and yanked him back. Fable hit the ground with a loud thud and quickly scrambled up.

"Hey! What was... that... for...?" The Border collie snarled as he collected himself, but something felt off. The baffled dog looked down and saw his black and white speckled paws obscured by grass. It has felt like ages since this dew covered magical green stuff was under his paws. Definitely a hundred times better than the hard dirt around his dog box. Fable looked up at Max with his blue eyes widened and muzzle dropped open when it sunk in that he was no longer chained down.

"You're welcome," the Shepherd simply said to him.

"I'm free!" Fable triumphantly barked. He was free from the never-ending boredom that the crappy family who bought him puts him through. He can reunite with his parents, find his sister, and -

"No you're not," Max said. That stopped Fable's celebratory dance in the grass to give the Shepherd a heated glare.

"That dog-less collar and chain right there says otherwise." He growled as he pointed at the camouflage collar with his muzzle.

"I didn't help you so you could just go out and starve to death."

"I'll find my own food." Fable snarled at the other dog.

"Where?" Max asked with his ears pinned back. Growing up with little exposure to others dogs left the younger dog a bit slow in dog etiquette, but he knew a challenge when he seen one. To his surprise, the Shepherd lifted his ear slightly and sat down. He took on a whole new tone when he continued. "Do you see that forest behind me?" Fable loosened up his tense body and gave Max a nod. "I live with another dog that frequently runs around these woods and lately, he hasn't been catching any food. On a good day, he might catch something every week or two thanks to this short supply of prey. And he's a seasoned hunter. You're a puppy."

"There are plenty of strays out there that make it on their own." Fable pointed out to him. His parents warned him about the struggles of being a stray, but anything had to be better than living here.

"There are," Max admitted with a nod. "But there are a lot more dogs that parish than there are that thrive. I've met my fair share of strays and even the ones doing well are sick or skinny. It's not an easy life." Fable glanced away from the Shepherd and let out a light sigh. Growing up was tough, being ripped away from his family is tough, and dealing with his new owners is tough, but will it make things even more difficult on himself if he leaves? Will he be less lonely? Fable would have continued pondering, but Max spoke up again. "My housemate does his running around much like I do. We just return home before the humans do so we still have the food, shelter, and care that they offer."

"So I have to stay here with these horrible humans?" Fable asked the large dog.

"Do they beat you or mistreat you in any way?" He asked the Border collie right back. Fable remembered how the older kid aggressively jabbed him in the ribs and shoved him out of the van when they brought him here.

"They... They were pretty rough with me at the start, but now... I may as well barely exist." He answered as he sat down onto the cool grass. There was one thing he could understand though. Why would Max free him, but then tell him that he couldn't run away? It didn't make sense.

"So you're just lonely now?" Fable nodded. "Well, I know a lot about these humans in this community. I have to if I want to be able to move around without getting caught. The kids here," Max said as he pointed at the rundown house with his snout. "They go to school in the morning much like my owner does. The parents here leave for their jobs in the morning much like my owner's parents do." Then a smile crept across his muzzle when he turned his attention back to the Border collie. "And when the humans are away, Max gets to play."

Fable looked down at the grass that had been inches away from him for over a week now. He wants to run away so badly, but where would he go? The fantasy of running away and finding his parents and sister quickly came to a halt in his head. He had no idea on how to even find them. Locating food would be troublesome as well. He didn't know how to hunt and with scarce prey, that'll make learning to hunt a bit difficult. Max made some good points, but Fable couldn't shake this feeling that was urging him to flee from this place.

"So... What you're saying is... that I get to run around until they get home?" The Border collie asked when he looked back up. Max just nodded. "Well...," He started, but glanced over at his empty collar. "... I can't exactly strap that back around my neck."

"You can easily slip it back on if you slide your muzzle into it and walk out to the edge of your dirt circle." Max explained. "Instead of facing your dog box and backing up, you'll face away from it and walk all of the slack out of your chain. That should cause it to slide over your head and back where it will look like you were never missing. Got it?"

"I think so...," Fable quietly growled. "I still would like to run away... but I'll give this a try before I take the steps to becoming a stray."

"That's good," Max said as he stood up. "I'm going to go ahead and take off. I live about a block and a half that way." The Shepherd pointed his muzzle to the East for a second before continuing. "So give me a bark if you need anything."

"Max wait!" Fable barked at him before he could even take a step. This was the first dog that he got to talk to since he was brought here against his will. But now that Max was giving him his full attention, the Border collie's head went blank on what to say to him. "Uhmmm... D-do you have anybody you enjoy being around and talking to?"

"Like friends?" Max simplified the awkward dog's question, so Fable nodded. "I've got plenty of dogs I like to hang out with, like -"

"The ones you plan on impregnating don't count." He interrupted.

The Shepherd stayed quiet for a moment as he flicked his ears and dug deep into his alpha male brain. "Then no," he finally answered.

"W-would you like to hang out -"

"Yes Fable, I'll be your friend," Max interrupted this time. Another smile formed on his muzzle as he approached the Border collie. The Shepherd positioned himself beside Fable and pressed against him as he rested the bottom of his muzzle on top of the Border collie's head. What's happening!? Fable practically howled in his head while he held still. He thought that this might be some bizarre dog behavior that his parents failed to teach them, but then the Shepherd whispered. "I'll put you in a temporary friend's zone before we become more than just friends."

"What!?" Fable barked as he scrambled away from the winking and smiling dog.

"I'm kidding," Max laughed at the embarrassed dog. "Well," he continued when Fable settled down again. "You're free."

"I am," he said back to the Shepherd. "Thank you for helping me out."

"Anytime, just don't stay out too late and maybe one of these days I can take you on a grand tour of the neighborhood?" Fable nodded. "Alrighty. I'm only a bark away if you need anything buddy."

Max gave him one last smile before returning to the tree line and continuing along it until he disappeared behind the neighbor's home. Fable was alone. But he was free. It felt amazing to have those green blades sliding between his toes as he's padded around the backyard.

"I've got several hours to do whatever I want..." He quietly said to himself after walking in a few circles. There was a whole city for him to run amok in... But he wasn't sure where to even begin or what to do when he got there. His whole life was of him being stuck in a room at his ex-owners home, a chain link pen beside his parent's pen, and now on a chain. This is the first time that he could pick a direction and nothing will be in his way or hold him back. Before he decided to do something, Fable padded over to his spilled food and downed most of it. With a full stomach, he stepped onto the narrow path beside the roadway.

The neighborhood was dead silent. Most of the kids and their parents in the neighborhood were gone for the morning either at school or work and those that were at home were in their houses to stay out of the cold. There wouldn't be very many humans to interrupt him. This feeling of freedom was a bit underwhelming to him. It didn't help that Max ruined it earlier by being all sensible. After a few minutes of sliding pebbles around on the sidewalk, Fable decided it would be best to stretch his legs and think about what to do later. So he started by padding west of his home.

"This feels nice," Fable quietly woofed to himself. Not only did it feel good to get to freely walk around for the first time in his life and stretches legs, but the morning sun soaked into his black fur and heated him up.

A few blocks away from his horrible home, something caught his eye at the end of the block. When the Border collie got closer, he saw that it was another dog sitting alone on the sidewalk. He quickly padded most of the way to it before slowing down to a crawl. It was a young Australian cattle dog with long blonde legs, grey muzzle, dark fur that covered most of its body, a purple collar around its neck, and a solid black patch around its right eye. The dog's fur had a hint of deep blue to it from the morning light. Beside the blue heeler was a light pole decorated with artificial flowers, crosses, and pictures faded by the weather. Fable made himself look as small as possible when he closed in the gap between them. Unintentionally angering another dog wasn't something he wanted to do on his first day of freedom.

"H-hi," Fable quietly and awkwardly said to the other dog as he sat down a few feet from it. The heeler kept its dark brown eyes firmly locked on the house across the road. "My name is Fable. What's yours if you're alright with me asking?"

"Lieu," she said with her eyes still on the home. Fable looked over its two-story house. It was all white with a decent sized front porch and driveway that led to a detached garage that matched the home. But it all looked a bit unkept. The grass was nearly as tall as it was at Fable's home, there were leaves overflowing in the gutters, and there were spider webs in every window. With a bit of TLC, the home could look as nice as the rest in the community. The Border collie looked back over at Lieu and came face to face with her. "So are you a stray or something?"

"Not yet," Fable answered. The heeler tilted her head at him. It took him a few seconds to catch that she was puzzled about his answer. "This is my first time getting to be out on my own since my friend showed me how to get off my chain." Talking about Max made him wonder if this was one of his females that he talks to, since that was all the Shepherd hunted for. "You wouldn't happen to know a dog named Max?"

"Oh, I know Max." Lieu said confidently with a wide grin and head nod.

Wow... Fable thought to himself. He really has gotten around... If this was one of Max's girls, the Shepherd probably wouldn't want him hanging around her. So the Border collie lowered his ears and eyes from hers' and started to scoot away.

"F-Fable, I was kidding." He heard her say when he got a few inches away. "I've never heard of or met this Max."

He breathed a sigh of relief as he straightened back up to face her. That warm smile she had there for a second was gone now. Only concern filled her.

"That's good...," He quietly said to her. "He's only on the lookout for females, so watch out for him."

"I will, but...," Luna started before straightening her head and tilting her muzzle up. The way she was showing herself off gave Fable a clear view of her slender figure. She looked over at him out of the corner of her eye with a smile and continued with her muzzle still tilted up. "Does this look like a body that has had males crawling all over it? What do you think?"

His cheeks burned as he looked her from top to bottom. She was very beautiful and confident, where he was shy and timid. If she didn't have males lining up to be with her, she wouldn't have to wait very long for them to.

"You look... v-very nice..." He quietly stuttered as he averted his gaze down from the blue pearl.

"Aww, the puppy is shy," Lieu chuckled at him. When the Border collie looked back up, she had scooted over to him and pressed her flank against his. The small patches of brown fur above her eyes raised and lowered quickly a few times before she started rubbing the top of her head against him like he was her favorite scratching post. Everything around Fable seemed to stand completely still while her soft head fur brushed against him. Only his rapidly beating heart and the oddly friendly dog beside him was animated. Finally she stopped rubbing him long enough to poke her cold nose under his flopped over ear and whisper, "hey Fable... You can breathe now."

The Border collie hadn't realized that he had stopped breathing until she pointed it out to him. With a head turn and a deep gasp, Fable's face stopped matching the color of his eyes while a light laugh came from Lieu.

"You're kind of fun to pick on," she said to the light headed dog. When she gave him a tender poke to his cheek with her nose, the chili world around him may as well have been summer from how warm that poke with her cold nose made him feel. "What type of things do you do for fun?"

Fable caught his breath and dug real deep to try and remember the last time he actually had fun. His mind came up blank. "There isn't anything fun to do where I live now."

"That's kind of sad...," she whispered to him. "I take it you were a pup from a breeder's home?"

"I was, but I'm not very happy where I am now," he admitted with a quiet growled. If his owners had been nicer at the beginning and actually acknowledged his existence, he wouldn't be contemplating about becoming a stray. "Were you a product of a breeding home?"

"I am," she answered with a head nod. "I currently live out in the country on a small farm with a sweet old human after I was taken away from my last owner."

"You were taken away from your last owner?" Fable asked her. She just nodded. "Do you have any idea why?"

"No," Lieu quietly said with a shake of her head. "When I came into town a few months ago, I found this pole decorated with him." Both her and the Border collie looked over at the shiny light post beside her. The photos were too faded to make out any real futures on them. "I don't remember much from when I was a puppy, but I do remember how sweet and kind and..."

The sound of Lieu talking about her previous owner trailed off when Fable straightened his head back up towards the house across the road. Sitting on the homes porch at the top of the steps, was a very large white dog. It was looking directly at him and something about it pulled at him. Like a puppet having its strings pulled, Fable stood up and slowly stepped into the road with a ringing noise in his ears. After a few steps into the roadway, something much louder over took that ringing. He had only heard that blaring noise a few times, but the Border collie was certain of what it was. A car horn.

Fable scrambled backwards, but the quick switch in the direction made him trip over his own paws and fall onto his back and bounce his head off of the sidewalk. There was absolute silence as everything went black for Fable before there was an explosion of metal colliding with metal followed by a sharp squealing sound. Then shouting sounded all around him, but he could only catch a thing or two out of the mess of noise.

"Is everybody okay!?" Someone shouted.

"Help me get him out!" Another shouted. Fable blinked a few times and his vision cleared up enough for him to make out two blurry figures standing over him. Details were hard to make out, but it was enough for him to know that the towering figures were humans.

"We'll get you some helps sir. Just hang in there." One human calmly said to him as they began feeling around his body. Fable blinked a few more times and now a slightly blurred Lieu was over him.

"Are you alright Fable?" She asked the downed dog. He took a glance around him to see if he could spot the crash, but there were no destroyed cars in sight.

"Did that car missed me?" He asked her. The horn sounded real, so he hoped that it at least happened, but the look she gave him told him that it didn't.

"What car?" Lieu asked back while she looked around a bit for the imaginary vehicle. When the heeler looked back down at him, she asked, "are you touched in the head?"

"Maybe...," Fable grunted as he stood up. "I was a last picked puppy..."

A smile crept across Lieu's concerned face. When the Border collie gathered his bearings, he looked over and saw no sign of that white dog anywhere at the house. The strange noises, visions, and dog that appeared and disappeared, left Fable very distant. He only snapped back into reality when Lieu spoke up.

"Are you going to be okay?" She asked the distracted dog. He gave himself a quick shake before facing her again.

"I'll be fine," Fable tried to answer confidently. Then he thought of something to say to her that made his legs tremble and breathing increased. It sounded good in his head, but it didn't sound quite as well when he spoke it. "I-I'd feel better if you would stay here with me until I get better..."

Fable cringed at what he just said. If he was trying to get rid of a female, he would just have to spew out more awkward stuff like that. But his tail began to wag when a soft snicker came from Lieu. "A shy and touched in the head dog that is also cute. I'd love to stay, but I had better get back to the farm before I'm missed." She leaned in and gave the Border collie a poke on the cheek with her nose. "Take care Fable."

With that, the blue Pearl turned and started padding away. Before she could get a house away from him, Fable took a step forward and all of his nervousness was gone. "Will I get to see you again?"

Lieu paused mid step and looked back at the now confident Border collie. "I usually show up here every few days." A smile crossed both dog's muzzles and she continued on her way home. When the heeler disappeared around the block, Fable let out a few barks and bounced in a circle. He had so much energy now that he felt like he could run for hours on end. There was still plenty of time left before he had to be home, so the Border collie just picked a random direction and took off running.

Fable return to that two way stop a few days later to see if Lieu would stay true to her word. And she did. They hung out at that decorated light pole for a few hours just chatting and wagging tails. The Border collie talked about his ex-owner, his family, Max, and his current owners and the heeler talked about the old human that cared for her and all of the small horses on the farm she lives at. During their first chitchat, she let out that she was a few months older than the ten month old Border collie.

The following days they met up were spent walking around town together. When they ran out of words, Lieu started chewing on Fable. He wasn't too sure what to do the first time she done it, but he built up enough courage and gave the soft scruff of her neck a gentle shake. When the slobbered up Border collie released her, she had a look of absolute horror on her muzzle. Shame hit him like a car and made him squatted down with his tail tucked between his legs. Taking advantage of his off guard state, Lieu shoved him over and took off laughing. She was faking it! Fable bounced to his paws and barked as he ran full speed after her. A single flower bed in someone's front yard was the only thing that fell victim to the roughhousing pups.

After several weeks of seeing each other every other day, Lieu started getting a bit clingy. She tracked Fable down to where he lives and started dropping by every day for a week straight. He didn't mind one bit though. Having her around made him as happy as a clam. He even blew off hanging out with Max once just to be with her. But the other time he got together with the Shepherd, Lieu was all he talked about. In the short month Fable has known her, the heeler had gotten her claws into him and he couldn't shake her from his mind.

"Psst... Fable...," Someone whispered loudly. The Border collie knew who was. There were no humans that she had to wait for before taking off in the morning to go running around. But he did and she was nice enough to hide out until they left. "Are you awake?"

"I am now...," Fable mumbled as he slowly got up and stepped halfway out of his dog box. He looked left then right and blinked the fuzziness out of his eyes, but his friend wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Where are you -"

The Border collie was cut off by something warm and wet going against the grain on the top of his muzzle. That surprise sliming made him leap back into his dog box with a yelp. Hanging down from his flat roof were two blond furred paws and a smug looking blue heeler head that was upside down and staring back at him. The sound of Lieu's tail sweeping back and forth over the roof could be heard over his beating heart.

"How did you get up there without waking me up?" Fable asked her from the back of his dog house.

"I'm like a cat," Lieu answered as she slid off to the ground. A poor reenactment of a feline purr came from her when she entered his dog house.

"Are the human still here?" Fable asked his weird friend. She shook her head and sat down in front of him.

"The short bus picked up the children earlier," Lieu answered. Max had told the Border collie about that vehicle that picks up his owners every morning. He called it short, but it still seemed a whole lot longer than the other vehicles. "And their parents left shortly afterwards."

Since the coast was clear, both dogs left the box into the cool morning air. Lieu immediately took a hold of his collar with her muzzle and pulled it over his head.

"What do you want to do today?" She mumbled back to him as she took his collar to the end of his dirt circle.

"Surprise me," Fable said like he normally does when she asks him that every morning. The heeler dropped his tie down and returned to her friend.

"Lie down."

"What?"

"Lie down and close your eyes if you want a surprise." Lieu said to the baffled dog. Nothing popped into his head that would involve both lying down and being blind. She would probably chew on him, push him over, or run off while he was immobile and impaired. Even with the likely chance that his friend was going to pick on him, Fable got flat on his belly and shut his blue eyes.

"Now tilt your nose up a little more." She commanded and again, he done as she said even though he was sure it would lead to a face full of dirt or covered in slobbers. But nothing happened. Only the sound of Lieu shuffling around a bit, birds singing, and distant traffic was all the voluntarily blind dog could hear.

"Hey Lieu, what's going... on..." Fable started but trailed off when a strong scent flowed into his snout. Something about it made his mouth water like he took a big whiff of some human leftovers in one of those large cans beside the roads. So the Border collie inched forward until his cold nose poked something hot and fleshy. The contact made his eyes shoot open and found his snout pressed against a part of Lieu that was usually barely visible from her thick fur or tail. Now it was wet, swollen, twitching, and exposed to the world with her tail flipped to the side.

There was a brief shock of embarrassment that hit the young male, but that strong aroma kept his snout firmly against her winking folds. It only took a few more breaths for that twinge of embarrassment to fade and his tongue to slide over her quivering pooch. Lieu let out a quiet whine as she bowed her back and pushed her rump towards his wide tongue. This was a very foreign taste to him. But the combination of her thick scent and flavor made him lap at her like he had a thirst that needed quenched. And when all of those satisfying juices of hers seemed tapped out on her swollen lips, Fable dug a little deeper. He pushed his licker past her tight folds which made Lieu's tail shoot straight up.

"Hmmmmm...," the heeler moaned as he stroked her velvety insides. Every lap from him at this point was about as mindless when he was trying to lick out every last crumb in his food bowl. Only this food bowl was wet, whining, had an irresistible taste, and was beginning to move around... a lot. He had to stand up to keep his tongue buried deep in her as she started rocking her hips. Each tight squeeze from her soaked pooch felt like it was trying to pull him deeper, but he bottom out in her when he tried to find a few more drops of her sweet taste.

Lieu let out a few excited yips before her gentle rocking went to full on humping the air. Fable's tongue nearly slide out of her when she bucked forward and when her rump swung back into him, he forced himself back into the heeler. The friction from his wide licker probing Lieu and her frantic thrusting made her insides slicken up with her juices. After several seconds of whining and riding the air, she settled down enough for Fable to retract his tongue and stepped back from the blue pearl. This whole ordeal left her winded and shaking a little.

"Are you okay?" The Border collie tried to ask with his muzzle filled with excessive slobbers and her flavor. She slowly spun around with an almost glow on her face before everything went south. Her ears pinned back and a snarl escaped from her clenched and exposed teeth. This was a whole new side of her. It was terrifying. She seemed to have enjoyed what he was doing to her, so Fable couldn't understand why she was so ticked off now. He took several steps back from her and her pearly whites and bumped into something soft with his rump. The plush contact made him hop to the side and spin around to see a familiar muzzle.

"Max!" Fable barked at the goofy German Shepherd that was just wagging his tail and glancing back and forth between them. "What are you doing here?"

"I was just passing through when I stumbled across this," Max answered with a wave of his paw. "I was going to say something like _BOO_while you two were preoccupied, but your girlfriend caught me. And this pretty little thing must be -"

"Lieu and keep your distance," she growled when the Shepherd took a step towards her.

"Fair enough," the peeping Tom said as he sat down. All three dogs just remained silent for several moments. Several awkward moments. Then Lieu padded over to Fable and gave his wet snout a lick before nosing under his ear.

"Meet me at the park tomorrow morning so we can have some alone time..." She gave his ear a blast of hot air and then left his side. Her slobbered up pooch gave him a few winks as she headed into the woods.

"Wow," Fable heard Max say from beside him. The Border collie pivoted his whole body to face his friend. Held up about to his eye level was the Shepherd's tan paw. "If she weren't this tall, I'd be all over that."

"Max...," Fable said in a deep growl. The thought of having someone who wanted to breed anything with a pulse, impregnating someone he had strong feelings for, made the Border collie's fur stand up and claws dig into the earth as he got to all fours.

"I'm kidding," Max said as he placed his paw back onto the ground. "I'd be all over that regardless of height."

"Don't you dare!" Fable snarled with his lips curled up. Getting in a fight with a dog that size would be almost a guaranteed loss, but he knew his pain-in-the-butt friend wouldn't risk getting any battle scars. And as predicted, the pretty boy of a dog scooted back when the Border collie stepped towards him.

"Relax Fable," Max coolly said even though he was ready to bolt at any moment. Then he lifted his paw back up and pointed it at Fable's white furred belly. "You also need to calm down your horn-hound."

The Border collie glanced under his belly and saw a bright red tip poking out of his sheath. Sometimes it would be hard and visible to the world in the morning, but nobody was there to deliberately point it out. His cheeks turned the same shade of color as his exposed member and he tucked his tail in between his legs and sat down once everything was covered.

"And I'm kind of sorry for being a cock blocker earlier," Max halfheartedly apologized.

Fable let out a heavy sigh. "It's... All right..." It's wasn't, but the Shepherd's usual durpy look made it hard to be too upset at him. "I'm not very sure what to do anyways..."

"You know what they say," Max started as he un-tensed a little, but didn't continue until the Border collie tilted his head." If it bleeds, it breeds."

"T-thanks Max... thanks for that..." He growled to his friend that had no filters. Now Fable's mouth was watering from that new gross thought instead of Lieu.

"Aww, you'll learn to love that very rare meat when you get a better taste of it without getting interrupted." Max laughed. Fable didn't laugh back. A glare was all the Shepherd got from him. "I'm probably going to head out since you seem pretty sick of me now."

"Yeah, I'm done with you for a while... A long while..." The Border collie growled.

"I can imagine," Max said with another laugh. "I'll catch you later."

"Stay away from Lieu!" Fable barked at him as he headed towards the street.

"I will!" He barked back at the Border collie before the house blocked their connection. With the nuisance gone, Fable let out a heavy sigh. Tomorrow felt like months away. This worked up feeling he had started to ache when he gave his chops a lick. Lieu's taste and scent still lingered strongly on his snout and mind. He wanted her. No. He needed that blue pearl. But tomorrow is so far away.

Yesterday was hell on poor Fable. Aside from the extremely exciting, awkward, and frustrating morning, all he could think about was Lieu's scent, her soft body, her voice, and her irresistible taste which made it impossible for him to do anything. He rolled around in trash and chewed on as many gross things he could find just to knock out two of his senses. But he still wanted to feel her under him, to hear her whimper and moaned to his touch. After running aimlessly around, he tried to sleep that evening and night which didn't get him anywhere. The nerve racking thoughts about helping produce a litter worried him, but his body craved hers' and that was almost enough to shut out the thoughts about being a parent. But none of the other thoughts he had about his heeler helped him get any sleep that night. So Fable didn't even wait for his owners to take off this morning before sneaking away. If the humans discovered his disappearance, he would be content with becoming a stray as long as he got to be with Lieu. But just in case, he pulled his dog-less collar into his doghouse so they might not be any wiser about him taking off.

On his way to the park, the Border collie caught a mailman and got a bone shaped biscuit from the friendly human. He wanted to crunch it up and eat it right there, but he decided it would be a nice gift for his girl. Unfortunately, thinking about Lieu brought back all of those repressed scents, taste, and needs for her and his mouth begin to water causing his gift to get soggy and fall apart. Not wanting to show up empty pawed, the Border collie located a single white flower before continuing on his way to the park.

"What's going on Fable?" The Border collie heard someone say. He stopped and dropped his single white flour on the sidewalk before turning to see his friend. Max had told him where he lived, but this is the first time Fable was seeing his home. It was a well-kept and very modest looking two-story suburban home.

"I'm off to meet Lieu at the park." He said to the dog on the other side of the chain link fence. Immediate regret hit him after he said where he was going. Now the Shepherd could interrupt them if he decides to track them down.

"Aww... Puppy love," Max whined in a high pitched voice. Fable had to glance down and hold in a laugh when he started making poorly sounded smooching noises at him. When the noises stopped, the Border collie put on a straight face and looked back up. "What's the deal with the flower?"

"It's a present for Lieu." Fable answered. "I figured girls liked flowers more than dead animals for gifts."

"True," Max agreed with a head nod. "You could have also given her a squeaky toy or dog treat."

"You think my owners would get me any toys?" He asked his friend. The Shepherd just continued nodding his head. He knew quite a bit about the Border collie's owners from their chats when he would unexpectedly drop by Fable's dog house. "I caught the mailman on the way through and he tossed me a biscuit, but it got soggy and fell apart in my mouth. So I grabbed this flower from some old person's lawn. I hope she likes it."

"Girls like that kind of thing."

"Maybe humans, but I don't know about dogs." Fable said as he glanced down at his gift. How did he know humans liked flowers? They did grow them in their yards all of the time, so maybe that's how he picked up on that.

"She will like it as long as it comes from you." Max put in his usual mushy way. In the short time Fable has known him, he has figured out that the Shepherd can say something that is heart melting, but then turn around and say something vulgar or embarrassing. The Border collie couldn't help but wagged his tail from what his friend said as he glanced around at shadows.

"Well... I'm running a little late," Fable said when he looked back up at his friend. That wasn't true though. Lieu said to show up in the morning and didn't specify when in the morning he needed to show up. But he didn't like the idea of her being alone in heat at a place that is frequented by other dogs. "So I'll catch you later and let you know how things went."

Fable grabbed his quick gift and started towards the park with a bit of pep in his step. "Go get her stud!" He heard Max barked from behind him.

"Oh God...," Fable cringed as he broke into a trot. "Please don't follow me please don't follow me please don't follow me please don't follow me..."

After padding a few blocks, the Border collie arrived at the local Park. It was completely vacant. Nobody visits this place this early in the morning since all of the humans were busy with their everyday lives. That made this the perfect place to romp around at. Both Lieu and Fable came out this peaceful place several times in the past just to play around. But now they were going to do more than just play around. They were going to fool around.

"Lieu!?" Fable barked through clenched teeth. He got no response. Thinking back on their few romp arounds, there was a spot that hid them from prying eyes while they slobbered up each other's muzzles. Past the playgrounds but before the restrooms was an ancient tree that was circled by sidewalks and shrubs. He approached their hideout and found a narrow slot that was open in between some bushes and pushed his way to the tree. There was several feet of clear space all around the old lumber with rust colored mulch covering the ground.

"Fable!" He heard the girl of his dreams bark when he made it through the twig and leaf assault. The Border collie was greeted with Lieu's intoxicating scent and a flurry of licks to his present holding snout. When she finished giving his face a tongue bath, they stepped back from one another and Fable dropped to the flower.

"I-I brought this for you." Fable awkwardly stuttered as he nervously bounced from paw to paw

"Aww." Lieu and the Border collie both looked down at the beat up flower. It had slobbers, crushed spots on its stem from his teeth, and several missing petals that were torn off by the shrubs he passed through. "It looks nice."

"No it doesn't," Fable disagreed with a shake of his head. It looked pitiful.

"Well...," The heeler started as she took a step towards him. She nuzzled his neck, cheek, and ear before whispering. "I brought you a flower as well..." Fable's heart skipped a beat when she spun around and presented herself to him. This time he didn't hesitate.

He dove in.

Fable pressed his cold nose against her swollen vulva. Contact from his chilly nose made Lieu playfully whimper and pushed back into his snout. He drew in a deep breath of that thick aroma coming from her quivering pooch. It was much stronger today than it was yesterday. After a few more breaths, the Border collie pulled his nose back far enough for his tongue to lash out and strike it. Her playful whimper went to a long whine as he pushed into her depths. Those nervous feelings that made his legs shake, quickly faded away when her sweet flavor splashed onto his tongue and scent lingered in his snout again. Each probe rewarded him with more of her irresistible taste. Fable withdrew his tongue one last time and stepped back when that unfamiliar burning and tightening feeling filled his sheath. The soaked folds to his blue pearl eagerly bounced as he tried to figure out what to do next. Lieu looked back at him with a lustful lick to her muzzle and she gave her side a few taps with the tip of her tail like she was inviting him up. He eagerly accepted her invitation and slid up onto her back.

Her soft fur felt better in reality than in his head when he hugged her closely. Fable began to excitedly whimper and wine with her as he immediately started humping forward. The nagging thought of becoming a father that ran through his head all day yesterday and this morning, were rapidly pushed aside when his tip poked her rump. He repeatedly jabbed for her slick folds with zero success. It was only when Lieu started shifting her rear into the last spot he poked that helped his tip come into contact with her exposed flesh.

Both Lieu and Fable drew in a sharp gasp when his next thrust buried his entire member deep into her. Heat surrounded him on this chilly morning as he tightened his grip around her waist and rapidly jerked his stiffening cock back and forth into his blue pearl. There was no slow and steady for the pup. But the heeler didn't seem to mind the frantic humper above her. She panted, whined, and rolled her hips back into the Border collie. Both of the virgin's instincts done their best to push them to their climaxes as quickly as possible.

Fable kept his rapidly growing doghood buried as deep into her that was physically possible. He pressed his nose down into Lieu's back fur and took deep breaths of her attractive lure when he wasn't panting. The scent on her back wasn't quite as strong as her beautiful pooch, but it was her scent and that was more than enough to make the pressure in his fuzzy orbs to intensify. Lieu kept pushing back into him to the point that her front paws were stretched out in front of her and her chest was against the mulch. It was almost like she was stretching, but she normally doesn't whimpered and moaned when she does.

Fable's thickening cock needed more effort to squeeze into his girl when her tight insides began tensing and clamping around the thing they both wanted to erupt in her fertile womb. Every forced thrust made his swelling knot pop in and out of her tight lips.

"Get that thing deep into me!" Lieu begged as she pushed back into the Border collie that was plowing forward with short and powerful jerks. Fable had no intentions of letting his knot out any more even though it wasn't swallowed up enough yet to lock them together. The whimpers and moans his blue pearl was making were almost like a treat to him. Every slam from his hips into hers made the heeler's head tilt up to the sky and eyes roll back towards him. It was almost as though she was watching him probing her most fertile parts.

"I'm going to fill you with a litter of mutts!" Fable growled dominantly in between heavy gasps for cool air. This was a new side to himself he had never heard before. It was raw and lustful. He wanted her to bear him those pups he was so worried about. And she needed was for him to fill her with the only thing that will make that possible.

Finally, Fable's thrust started getting his thick cock nowhere when his knot held firmly inside her tight swollen lips. He buried his snout into her thick back fur and drooled onto her with his muzzle gapped open as she let out a high-pitched howl. The size of his hard twin glands in her tight and virgin insides was almost too much for the inexperienced male. The tightness was nearly painful, but the clamps and squeezes from her muscles massaged Fable to the point that he has never felt before. It was unlike any feeling he got from a head path, belly scratched, or dog food. It was explosive, made his body tingle like it was regaining feeling after being numb, and made his legs shake when the pleasure rolled over his body.

"Yes!" Lieu barked up when Fable's life giving seed started squirting into her needy womb. She shut her eyes tightly and continued to bark into the air as she pushed her shivering body back into his. The Border collie gasped and groaned into her back when she started rubbing him strongly with her insides. He removed one paw from his blue pearl's hips to steady himself while he left his other paw to keep her soft and shuttering body against his. Each twitch from his still cumming cock made his hips give a slight thrust forward into her and sent a pleasant shiver down his legs and spine.

When Fable caught his breath, he gathered his bearings and released Lieu's hips and stood directly over her with his nose still against her slobbered up fur. She lowered her muzzle and eased up on pushing back into his twitching and squirting doghood. In the afterglow their heated romping, the reality of pups hit him hard. Now his heart was racing because he was unprepared for a litter and not because of their energetic meeting. He wasn't ready to be a father. He was still a pup himself. The rapid thoughts made him almost panic and attempt to pull himself out of her viselike grip, but those panicked thoughts melted away when his glowing pearl looked back at him with a gleam in her brown eyes.

"You were wonderful...," she whispered up to him. He might not know how to rear pups, but with her by his side, it should be more than enough for them to figure out what to do. Seeing her tired and panting afterglow made him remove his muzzle from her slobbered up back and give her snout a few tender licks. She shut her cracked open muzzle long enough to smile at him.

"You too...," Fable panted back to her. She was more than just a wonderful first time. She was a wonderful dog that he was tied to, a wonderful mate, and she will be a wonderful mom to their mutts.

With one last smile, Lieu faced back forward while she was being filled to the brim with Fable's life giving seed. All the while her womb was being topped off, the border collie nuzzled the back of his lovely's head and nibbled on her soft ears. Sliding off of her was out of the question. The warmth he got from her fur against his underside put his tired body in a state of peace. He needed to be close to her. It felt as though he was magnetically attracted to her. Like his small world revolves around her. When he was around her, he didn't have to pretend to be a captive animal, but he got to be a dog. But now they were going to be more than two dogs romping around every day. They were going to be mates. And a few months down the road, they will were more than likely going to be parents.

Finally after nearly half an hour, his overly sensitive cock stopped squirting into her and they both felt the pressure from the tie lighten up. Lieu crawled forward and Fable took a step back and with a sloppy slurp, they were separated. The heeler let out a quiet whine as she stood up. Her stretched lips bounced and rapidly dripped their excess fluids. Before she could recover and go to work on cleaning herself, the Border collie stepped forward and gave her fertilized folds a long lick. She let out a slightly louder whine this time as her tail flipped over to her side. Her heat kept her wound up and ready for another round with the black and white dog. Several more well-placed licks to that bud of flesh just inside of her sweet pooch got her hips rocking.

"O-okay Fable... That's good...," Lieu moaned back to the eager male. He gave her depths a few more good licks before stepping back from her. Midway through humping the air again, the heeler spun around and gave the front of Fable's soaked muzzle a lick. "Keep that up and we will have to get stuck together again."

"There is still plenty of time for us to do that two or three more times." Fable confidently said with a broad smile as his cock slipped back into its sheath. Lieu smiled back at him, but she had a familiar gleam in her eyes that he was all too use to. Mischief. She lunged forward and knocked him to the mulch with her front paws. By the time he scrambled up, she had bolted out of the shrub circle and was in a dead run for the playground. He let out an excited bark before giving chase to the spunky heeler. She was going to make him work for those two or three more ties.
