Human Puppy (poem)
poem originally written: 1997-09-2
I saw the anger
and knew it was gonna linger in your eyes
then you yelled at me
saying we gonna start a family and that I should grow up.
Oh, this isn't about you
it never has been so away,
Oh, why won't you just accept me
as a human puppy and give me away,
oh, I'm drowning in sarrow cause there's no more tomorrow left for me.
oh, I want someone to play with me
and scratch behind my ears as I romp around
I want to eat out of a food bowl
and take walks round ' the park,
I want someone to cuddle me and hold me forever more,
oh, I just want a family and not just any family and not you,
oh, why won't you just accept me as a human puppy
and give me away,
oh, I'm drowning in sarrow cause there's no more tomorrow left for me.
oh, I wanna go to heaven, this isn't a deception
I really wanna go now...
Well, I guess I'll do it I'll bite the d*mn bullet
and let it whisk me away.
Oh, and as you listen to this "chorus"
my final words have reached you now,
*BANG!* Just remember, I'll be in your heart forever,
as I'm slipping out, away into the great beyond where I belong.
