Equestrian Stories Book 1 Chapter 3 Dark Truths

Alex bolts past Spike "ALEX wait up!" Spike tries to stop him but Alex keeps going "Spike stay here and keep at Twilights side, i will be back soon!" He tells spike as he dashes out of the castle. He begins to flap his wings and takes off in a hurry and flies toward Canterlot.

After a few hours of flying he finally arrives at Canterlot and he sees the barrier and shivers "Now I know what Fluttershy was talking about, it does sound like the dead are screaming." He says as he slowly approaches the barrier and a hole appears in it. "Am... I being.. invited...in....?" He asks as he cautiously approaches and enters the hole in the barrier and the hole closes around him. What he saw even shocked him... there were pony corpses littering the area around the city and it looked like the ones that didnt manage to escape were killed instantly by the dark energy flowing around the barrier "This.. is wrong... whoever did this will pay." He says as he dashes through the city until he finally reached the castle.... and his heart sank when he reached it.

Canterlot Castle was completely decimated. The one tall and regal castle was now in ruins and shambles as if something tore the castle from the inside out. He slowly entered the ruins and looked around trying to find any signs of Luna or Celestia. Instead he saw a pony standing in the middle of the ruins. He recognizes the pony immediately as Pinkie Pie and runs up "Pinkie! What are...." But he stops as he felt an aura surge come from the pink mare. "No. You are not Pinkie Pie... Who are you?!" He growls as he gets into fighting position. "Oh I am Pinkie Pie but then again I am not. My name is Pinkamena, Welcome to my hell Alex. Its good you finally decided to come back. I was getting so bored, the princesses were far to easy to manipulate, especially little old luna... i wonder why hmm?" Pinkamena slowly turns around as she cackles. "'He'll rescue me! I know he will! Alex will come back!' She bellowed to me as she was imprisoned. But you didnt come back did you? Well... you did now but it was far to late!" She cackles even more as she held her hoof up as the dark star appears in her hoove.

"Zalgos dark star! I knew it! Where did you get that?!" Alex yells as Pinkamena cackles once more "Simple Zalgy gave me it, and this" She said as her other hoof shows a folder. "All your memories he had managed to get information on when he temporarily possessed you. Even the most intimate ones you dirty stallion." She mocks "Oh that juicy information of you fucking her would send the world creaning to chaos. But that job aint mine its Discords but that bastard reformed so even if i gave him the info he wouldnt ever use it. So i made new plans. One far more delicious and delictable."

Alex growled "Are you finished monologuing? Im going to stop you here and now!" He snarls as he makes the keyblade appear and grabs it in his snout. "Oh its a fight you are after now is it?" She begans to cackle insanely once more "Then try me dirty stallion. We shall see if you can even lay a hoof on me!" Pinkamena begins to float up in the air as a demonic barrier surrounds her and she begins to cackle insanely once more.

Alex charges at her making his keyblade shine and slams the keyblade against the barrier only to be thrown back, Pinkamena makes a gasping sound and begins to laugh. Alex growls and uses the low magic powers he has access to and begins to bombard the barrier and then attempts to slash it once more and gets thrown back, she begins to make a tch tch sound shaking her head. He tries to teleport inside the barrier but gets thrown back.

"This is really boring you know that? You cant break the barrier no matter what you do." She says as shakes her head a few more times. "But now that you are done trying to attempt to hurt me, its my turn to attack back." She lifts her hoof up as the dark star begins to spin on her hoove as a dark spell begins to charge within it. Alex brings up a barrier to protect himself. "DEMONIC HELLFIRE!" Pinkamena screeches as the spell easily shatters the barrier Alex had up and throws him into the broken pillar, the large rocks fall on top of him pinning him down as he cries out in pain. "Pathetic, i cant believe you destroyed Zalgo. How was that even possible when you are this weak?" She says as Alex struggles to lift the boulders off of him. She picks up the folder and flips through "AH I SEE! You were not a pony when you fought Zalgy but a human? whats a human? no matter, you are far to weak in the form you are in to even stand up to my new powers." Pinkamena states as she uses her new powers to lift Alex out of the rubble and begins to beat him down brutally. She first snaps his wings making him screech out in pain and then snaps his spine.

"Forget about your precious Selena. Shes mine now, and theres nothing you can do to save her, get out of my sight!" And with those words she uses a magical power to throw Alex far into the sky and sends him through the barrier and slamming sickenly against the ground repeatedly. Rainbow Dash who just couldnt help but come to the barrier to see if Alex was ok, finds his broken and battered body and carries him back to the friendship castle.

At the castle

"What happened to him? He looks nearly dead!!" "I dont know! I just found him like this!" "We must hurry! Call Starlight! We gotta use our magic to save his life or he'll die!"

Slowly Alexs eyes opened and he sees the others and hes wrapped in bandages and stitches "Sel...ena..." He tries to get up but Spike stops him "Dont move Alex... you were nearly dead when Rainbow Dash found you. Luckily Starlight, Rarity and Twilight used their magic to fix you up.... who did this to you?" Spike asks and Alex looks away "Pinkamena." And everyone froze up their eyes widen. "Pinkamena?? It cant be, she should be dead." Rainbow Dash states "Im not lying. It was her. She has a new power thanks to the foe i slayed.... she knows everything about me and about Selena. I have to go...gah!" He tries to move again but Spike stops him once more. "The barrier must be broken.... the last time this happened there were 5 guardians guarding 5 giant crystals that powered the demonic barrier. I wont be surprised if this is how the barrier is being held together by the same method." Alex states as everyone looks at him

"We need to destroy those crystals right?" Applejack asks and Alex nods. "Alright then you rest, leave it to us." Rarity says as she makes the blanket cover Alex. "We will break into groups of 2. Fluttershy, see if you can get ahold of Discord and you 2 head to the desert to the west, some of the desert ponies have been complaining of strange visions when they go near the ruins they discovered. Rarity and Applejack will go to the southern peaks near the crystal empire. They have been sending reports of strange occurances happening on the peaks. Rainbow Dash, you head to the skies as there has been commotions going on of a large fast dragon terrorizing the skies and having a large strange crystal attached to its chest. Starlight, see if you can get ahold of Trixie and you both head to everfree forest, Zecora has sent us a message of discovering an large strange purple rock that feels of pure evil. I will head to pony meadows myself as there have been ponies complaining of getting a headache when they try to travel across the fields. Lets go find those crystals and break them!" Twilight instructs everyone. "But first its getting late, lets rest up and get some sleep before we head out." Twilight says and everyone yawns and agrees as they all head off to bed. Alex cant sleep and looks outside at the moon rising as tears begin to flow from his eyes....
