A poem that describes the foolishness of placing one's belief and ideal above action and purpose.

One of three poems I made this afternoon I'll post.

Hungry are men who pray for fish,

Desperate are men who seek salvation in fortune cookies,

and foolish are those who seek not to help themselves and others,

for they are those who shall starve and lose hope,

for they will damn all others who blindly follow them to death.

Follow not in prayer, follow not in tricks, follow not the selfish,

for those that help themselves and their own have true hope,

and for this they shall be blessed, for thanks to their willpower,

they shall never be, hungry and desperate.
