The Child (Chapter 1)
The story of how Faun came to be.
Britani rested a hand on the swell of her stomach as she wandered the woods near her small village. She was the princess, this could not be happening to her, she could not birth and keep the demon child. The pains were getting worse, in a matter of hours she would be rid of the dragon curse. Her pace slowed as she looked up into the sky, grumbling and cursing the day she had ever let the damn dragon take advantage of her, but at the time she was under the impression it would save her village. As she continued to walk, she came to a secure spot, deep in the forest, it took all of her control not to cry out as a sharp pain wracked her body causing her to back against the rough surface of a large tree. Her hand instinctively flew to her stomach, and she gasped as the warm gush of fluids ran down her inner thighs and legs. By now, the silk of her gown was stained and ruined, as she looked down and felt the first shift of the child nestled inside her as it moved down wanting to make it's entrance into the world. Britani would not lie, she was frightened, she did not know what this /thing/ inside her would look like or even be. As another strong pain took her by shock, she gripped a near by root and thought of the beast who did this to her.
He had been massive and feared by all in the village where Britani reigned. He was a deep shade of purple, which without the light of sun, made him look black. He knew he needed someone strong to carry and birth his child, if he ever wanted one and he knew then, he did. Britani had just been the lucky, or unlucky as she believed, woman he had found first. She had remembered being in the forest at the hour the dragon had arrived attempting to find wild flowers for her mothers remembrance feast that night seeing at the old queen had finally, peacefully, passed in her sleep. Her father had warned her since she was old enough to walk to never go into the woods alone and Britani never listened. Even with the whole village in mourning, she still wore revealing clothing, it had just changed to black. he had found some flowers that were pink in shade; her mother's favorite. As she bent over to pick them up, a massive thud was heard behind her and would be followed by the quake of the ground. All she could feel was the gust of wind and the massive beat of the beasts wings hitting her over and over. Her breath hitched in her throat and she looked back over her shoulder in time to see a massive paw press against her back keeping her bent to the ground, the beast showed no sign of being careful as its claws ripped off her underwear and she felt it's breath, and soon something else, press against her.
Pain snapped Britani back to the real world as she felt the child try to make it's way further down. She panted softly to herself and reached down, sliding off her silken panties, feeling herself to see if she had been stretched enough to deliver the demonic child inside her. She had been overtaken by the need to push, her body trying to expel the foreign object from her body. She looked around, and screamed, knowing there was no one around to help her, nor anyone who could hear her. She was frightened, if she alerted the dragon, what would she do, it would find her and kill her. She cried out as she pushed with all the force she had, causing the child to inch forward slowly. She panted and moaned as she squatted grabbing the roots to support herself as she cried out again. She could now feel the smaller head dangling from herself, she reached one hand down to support the baby. She cried out again loudly, she had been informed the shoulders were the hardest part, she could feel, even with the baby still inside her, the nubs where wings would form. She panted softly as she pushed harder and felt one shoulder make its way out, the other soon to follow with one large push. At this point, Britani was crying, the pain she was in was intense. With one final push, her demonic child enter the world.
Even though she really did not want to, she picked up the small child and cradled it to her chest moving her shirt away enough for the baby to nurse. She ran her hands over the child's back and choked a sob. The small girl, born with vibrant purple hair looked up at her mother, with sky blue eyes. Britani stood and looked down at the small girl, and even though her heart was filled with hatred, she couldn't help but kiss her forehead and sighed. She leaned to her ear and murmured. "Mother loves you Faun." She whispered, having sealed the babies name. She grabbed the small basket she had brought with her and laid the child, swaddled in a cloth, inside and wrote a quick note, explaining the origin of the child. With another choked sob, she ran back to her village, spouting stories of the wolves that had stolen her baby as soon as it was born.
Little did she know, Faun's father, had been watching from a distance. Once the mother had fled, he landed near her and nuzzled her gently, hoping nothing but pure love for his daughter in his eyes.
