"Hello? Are you awake?" A voice came form somewhere as Kai opened his eyes. The room slowly came into focus as he looked to the door. A white fox was standing there with a tray of food. He looked a little scared to be here but excited at the same time.

When he was done the two got up and left the room. Outside it was cool and relatively dark. Jade showed him around the village, telling him about their technology and different customs. "Marriage is probably our biggest celebration that isn't a holiday." Jade stated as they left the village, taking a small worn path away from the buildings. "When a couple is married, a male and female, the male and female are adorned with markings on their fur that are permanent. The couple then leaves for thirteen days. When they return a huge feast is thrown and the whole village is usually invited. If two males, or two females are married then they-"

"It's not very common, but yes, same sex marriages occur. They are welcome, the only difference in the ceremony is along with a huge feast they are blessed by the Gods." Jade smiled a little and shrugged. "Same sex marriages are thought of to bring good luck to the village."
"That's... unbelievable..." Kai continued to walk with Jade along the path.
"I take it that it isn't the same where you come from?" Jade looked over at him as they walked.

"The red moon is Bastet, and the white one is Osiris." Jade explained. He sighed contently and sat on the hill, gazing at across the lake. "The lake is called Hathor."
"Those names... they all sound so familiar." Kai sat next to him, thinking to himself.
"They were thought of to be Gods. In turn they tried to rule over other planets, were killed and defeated... it's a long story." He smiled and lay back on the hill, closing his eyes.
"This place is beautiful... I can't wait to see more of this place." Kai mused, looking around at the lush forests and plants. Everything was so serene.
