Jake gasped at what he saw as he awoke. Gatomon, standing right in front of him, held a digi-egg in her paws. It was yellow in color, and on one side - the side facing Jake - was the symbol of a flame. Jake blinked, wondering how this had happened. 'Did- did she mate with another digimon?' he thought, but shook it from his head. After the way she acted before, he couldn't possibly imagine her taking another. Gatomon looked up at him with just as confused an expression as he had. As he continued to gaze at her he knew she was just as lost. He then slowly reached out and placed his paw on the egg.

"Whoa!" Jake yelped as he suddenly felt the energies inside the egg. At first it was a little overwhelming, but after a moment, for a reason as yet unknown to him, he could make the energies out. "I... I feel you in there... and myself," he whispered to Gatomon, his eyes wide. He could sense it; it was indeed his child. After so many years it had happened - he was going to be a father.

Gatomon blinked at Jake's words. She was dumbstruck as to how she had conceived through him. She knew well that they were incompatible, that it was impossible for a Digimon and a furr to produce children together, yet here was the result of their pairing resting in her paws. They stayed like that for a moment before Jake cracked a smile and took both Gatomon and the egg into his arms and petted over her ears. Gatomon purred softly and closed her eyes, leaning up against Jake as he covered her with his tail.

"Jake, how did I?" Gatomon asked, still confused over it. She could feel the energies in the egg as well, and though she was happy to finally have given Jake what he wanted after so long, it didn't do much to help her understand just how it happened.

"I don't know, but I do know that it is ours. Maybe... maybe Micah could figure it out," Jake said and smiled down at his mate as he took his digivice and hovered it over both Gatomon and the egg. It flashed and scanned the two, analyzing their data, then he scanned himself with it. After it was done Jake transmitted the data along with a note explaining what happened to Micah. After putting the digivice back into his pocket the fox held Gatomon close to him while setting the digi-egg aside, then laid down to go back to sleep as it was still dark.

However, just as they were about to doze off, a sudden tremor made them jump and the two got up to look around. "Um, Jake, something's coming!" Gatomon mewled as she heard a far-off rumbling. Jake nodded as he too heard it, the sound coming from the distance straight for them. Jake swished his tail and flicked his ears as he soon could make out voices.

"There's a lot of them, perhaps an army," he said as the voices and rumbling came closer. After a moment he could make out the words they were saying, which made his eyes go wide. "Lets go!" Jake yelped as he grabbed both Gatomon and the egg and made his way back towards Zhuqiaomon's temple. Gatomon screeched in surprise as she was snatched up by Jake and sped through the desert.

As he ran he saw a massive army of digimon close up behind them, which made him run even faster and harder. As the digimon chased the fox and feline they taunted the two, saying things like "Myotismon wants your data" while letting out roars and screeches. As they closed in Gatomon took the initiative and jumped from Jake's grasp to digivolve into Angewomon and started attacking the mass. Using her Celestial Arrow and Heaven's charm attacks she took out a bunch of the pursuers, then grabbed Jake and flew off for the temple with the army resuming their pursuit.

"There it is!" Jake yipped as he saw the large stone building come into view and Angewomon flew right towards it. The army was right at their heels as they entered the stone doors and pushed them closed. Thinking quickly Jake pulled his digivice and aimed the screen at a Zhuqiaomon statue. A beam shot out and engulfed the stone structure and then moved it in front of the doors right before the army outside started to bang on them.

"That was close," Angewomon remarked, then turned to see Leomon motion the two over to the entrance to Mark's gravesite. Wasting no time the two rushed into the room along with Leomon and shut the door to it as well.

"Over here!" Leomon motioned to the far end of the room as he pushed on a stone. A secret door opened in response and he quickly motioned them to run through. "I'll hold them off while you get out of here," Leomon told them, then the three jumped just as a loud noise came from the entrance, indicating that the digimon army had forced their way through.

"No, I can't just leave you to fend them off yourself, there's way too many of them!" Jake protested, but a shove by Leomon pushed him and Angewomon through the door just as it closed. Jake yelped and tried banging on the wall as it closed up.

"Jake, let him be," Angewomon told the fox just as they heard another crash. He sighed and nodded, then traveled through the passage with Angewomon to try to find a way out. The way was quite straightforward, and seemed to be some kind of secret escape route. However, they soon came to a split, with the only options being left or right. Jake took out his Digivice to see which way to go.

"What?" the fox yeeped as only static was displayed on the screen. He and Angewomon wondered at it for but a moment before Jake decided to try left. "Weird, I can't get anything to show," Jake said as he pushed buttons, but nothing came up at all, like something interfered will all its functions. However, a sudden rumble behind them would cause the two to quicken their pace.

"Sounds like they found the door," Angewomon said as she and Jake ran down the hall. Jake nodded and panted as he moved his legs as fast as he could, but after a moment he turned his head and noticed Angewomon was no longer at his side. Coming to a halt he turned around to see her knelt on the floor and breathing heavily, then soon glowed as she reverted back to Gatomon and looked up at Jake wearily.

"Gatomon!" Jake yelped as he picked the kitty up into his arm. 'That's strange, she shouldn't have used up energy this fast,' he wondered, but the sight of some digimon approaching them drew his attention and he found himself backing away.

"Ooh, yes, time to delete you!" one of them said as his comrades chuckled menacingly. However, as they approached they started to walk funny and shake their head. Jake watched as they began to weaken and wonder what was happening.

'Oh, ok, this area must drain digimons' strength,' Jake thought and grinned. As he looked down at Gatomon she, however, seemed to have gained her strength back. Jake wondered at this until he noticed his digivice glowing, although the screen was still scrambled, restoring her. Gatomon rushed the enemy and attacked them, deleting a few to force the others to back off. They then resumed running down the hallway and left their pursuers behind, who found the only course of action was to retreat.

Jake and Gatomon walked through various hallways and corridors for what seemed like hours, with no end in sight. The sheer length of the passage drained their spirits as well as their strength, and they found themselves wanting somewhere to just sit and rest. As if the place sensed their thoughts, further along they found a door to their left.

"Hmmm, well, not like any other direction has been any better," Jake remarked and opened the door, thinking what was behind it could either be a trap, another corridor, or perhaps some empty room where they might at least rest for a while. Preparing themselves for whatever might await the two stepped through and found themselves in a dark room.

"I don't see anything," Gatomon said as she tried to peer through the darkness. As they slowly stepped further in a sudden beam of light made them jump and yelp. The beam shot over to Jake, who squinted as it scanned over him. He could feel it analyzing him and he wondered what was going to happen. Soon it disappeared, and as Jake and Gatomon wondered what just happened the room was lighted up and Jake gasped at what he saw.

"My old room?" the fox yipped as he looked everything over. Along one wall was a brown, wooden dresser. As he opened it he saw all his old clothes he wore six years ago, before coming to the digital world. Next to the dresser was a desk on which his computer sat, and at the corner next to the desk was his old bed.

"So this is your home?" Gatomon asked as she looked out a sliding glass door on the opposite wall. Outside it looked like his old town with people going about their business. Jake nodded as he looked out with her and smiled at the sight.

"Too bad it's only a hologram," Jake said as he noticed a slight corruption in the matrix that quickly disappeared as the system stabilized. Before him he saw his 14-year-old self re-enacting a time playing street hockey. The score was tied and Jake was on his rollerblades trying to hit the puck into the net when he suddenly tripped and fell on his face. The young fox-hologram howled as his face was scratched up and Jake winced at the memory. "I still remember my mom pouring rubbing alcohol on the cuts. Stung like heck," Jake chuckled and smiled down at his little mate as he placed their egg on the desk and sat on his bed. Gatomon joined him and the two laid down on the bed together.

Gatomon snuggled up to Jake as he talked of events in his life, enjoying his stories. As he did she inched closer to his face and Jake smiled down at her until their muzzles slowly met in a kiss. As they enjoyed the embrace Jake would find himself rubbing at her slit and enticing soft mewls from his love as he slowly stroked at her petals before pushing a couple fingers in and rubbing about.

Gatomon enjoyed his ministrations, her tunnel slowly leaking her juices as he pushed his fingers in deeper and bumped against her cervix, which caused her to jump and mreow loudly as her sex tightened up in response. Jake smiled at her reactions, twitching his fingers inside her and stretching her out while her body thrashed about. As soon as her sex was stretched out enough he pushed a third finger in and began to thrust them in and out of her.

"Ah, J-jake, I'm close!" Gatomon screeched as her walls clenched over the invading digits. She tensed up as she reached the edge and Jake held her over his head, his tongue flicking out to lap at her clit. As Gatomon felt the appendage on her it drove her over and she let out a series of screeches and mewls as her juices shot out over Jake's fingers. He smiled and murred happily as he pulled his fingers from her and held her close, then held his fingers to her muzzle. Gatomon smiled and licked Jake's paw, purring softly at her taste while Jake rubbed her ears, then eventually dozed off as the exhaustion from traveling for so long took over.

"Jake? Jake!" an elderly voice called from his digivice, snapping the todd and feline from their slumber. Jake looked around groggily for a moment, then snapped his eyes open as he took the device into his paw.

"Micah! Hey Gatomon, the digivice is working again!" Jake yipped as he looked at the screen.

"Jake, I've been trying to call you for hours! Where are you?" Micah asked, his voice serious and his gaze also serious and somewhat confused. "I've looked over the data you sent me, and it's got me confounded as heck! What exactly happened?"

Jake proceeded to tell Micah all that had happened to them; their encounter with a Ladydevimon, arriving in Zhuqiaomon's temple, what they did later that night and what Jake awoke to shortly after, all the way to the current time with them having evaded Myotismon's army underneath the temple. Micah seemed to become more and more thoughtful as he heard it all.

"That's... quite a story..." the elderly human said as he took it all in. Jake was about to respond but Micah interrupted him. "I think you better get back here right away. I'll be looking up some stuff until you do. You say you're underneath Zhuqiaomon's temple? There's somewhere down there that a portal can be opened, let me see... Ah, got it!" With that a bright light appeared where the door to the room once was. Jake and Gatomon walked over to it as they wondered where it went.

"Ho ho ho! Yes, that'll take you straight to the border between Zhuqiaomon's and Azulongmon's realms. I'll see you when you get back!" The signal was then closed as Micah's face disappeared from the digivice. Jake smiled and grabbed Gatomon and the digi-egg, then walked through.

The two appeared right at the edge of the valley that was Azulongmon's territory. Behind them was a line of hills that served as the barrier separating it from the desert they were just in. The mountains themselves were technically part of Zhuqiaomon's realm, but it had long been decided to consider it the dividing line. As Jake was about to head through the grass a voice from behind caught his and Gatomon's attentions.

"Well, well, what do we have here? If it isn't the ones who managed to escape my army, heheh," the voice said and they turned around to see the face of the vampire digimon Myotismon. Gatomon hissed at the sight of the evil lord and jumped off Jake's shoulder to stare him down while Jake set the digi-egg in a safe place a good distance away..

"Not much of an army," Gatomon taunted and grinned in response before digivolving to Angewomon. Myotismon chuckled at the sight, seemingly not amused at the enemy he now faced.

"Yeah, they're a bunch of fools, but that's ok, it gives me the chance to feast on your data myself!" he grinned back and stared her down. Meanwhile, in the distance two shadowy figures watched from atop the mountains, one of the figures being a BlackGatomon.

"Hey, do you think they'll win, huh huh huh?" the black cat asked as she watched in excitement at the impending battle. Her partner smiled down at BlackGatomon and giggled.

"Now now, settle down, and lets see. This should be interesting," the figure responded as she picked the feline up and held her in her paws. Her voice was seductive, alluring. She watched with equally seductive eyes, and behind her she swished a long, slender tail.

"Oooh, they're starting!" BlackGatomon chirped as Myotismon and Angewomon began to exchange blows. Angewomon used her Heaven's Charms as a shield to protect herself while Myotismon attacked with whatever he felt like. He used his Nightmare Claw in an attempt to shatter the shield but it held and was now using his Crimson Lightning attack as a whip. Angewomon deftly dodged the attack and tried to counter with Celestial Arrow but Myotismon's energy whip struck it and sent it off course.

Angewomon growled a bit as she watched her arrow be deflected and tried to flank Myotismon, but he suddenly exhibited a sudden burst of speed and wrapped his energy whip around her ankle. This caught her off guard and she suddenly found herself smashed into the ground.

"Hahaha, is this all you got?" Myotismon taunted as Angewomon picked herself up and glared at the vampire. All around them a fog had developed and cut off the sun. Angewomon thought of using Heaven's Charm to try to paralyze him, but a sudden Grisly Wing attack changed that as she found herself swarmed by Myotismon's bats.

Jake growled at this as he rushed over and tried to drive the bats away, but soon found himself chased by some of them. He brought out his digivice and shot a beam of light from it at them, which fortunately worked and drove them all off. Myotismon merely grinned at this and dove right for Angewomon, bearing his teeth.

"Take this, demon," Angewomon gasped out, and as the dust cleared Myotismon found a Celestial Arrow attack aimed straight for his head. The arrow was fired, Myotismon flinched back, but just before it would've hit him he had summoned his bats to take the hit instead as he dodged out of the way.

"Ooh, good try, good try," he chuckled as he then grabbed the weary angel and slapped her around. Angewomon yelped with every blow, and Jake watched in horror as she fell from the sky and reverted back to Gatomon then tumbled around as she hit the ground. Myotismon cackled and then charged at great speeds towards Gatomon with every intention to finish her off. "Nightmare Claw!"

"No, I won't let you!" Jake bellowed as he jumped right in front of Gatomon just as Myotismon reached her. Gatomon could only watch as Jake took the blow instead and slumped to his knees. He gacked as he held his wounds, data, rather than blood, coming from them. "I-I can't move. Ga-to-mon..."

Gatomon hissed as Mytotismon chuckled at the fox's predicament. She tried to get up, but she could barely move herself. Slowly Jake managed to look back at her as he started to destabilize like a defeated digimon. 'No, I can't, I gotta hold on," he thought as he turned to Myotismon and growled, his eyes glaring fiercely. "I... I won't let you hurt her!" he roared at the smirking vampire. Gatomon looked up at Jake in awe, tears starting to flow from her.

"Ahh, what a touching little scene. It almost brings a tear to my eye, hahaha!" Myotismon mocked and grinned at the two. "Well, I think it's time to end this, what about you? Gris- what?!" Just as Myotismon was about to finish them, a strong force made itself known. Jake and Gatomon felt it, too and turned to the mountains as they started to rumble. Suddenly a red light shot up from them and engulfed the area. Once again Jake and Gatomon found themselves healed from the power flowing into them. They stood up while Myotismon screeched and tried to shield himself from it, the light burning him.

"Whoa! Wow, that was sudden!" BlackGatomon said as she and her shadowy partner watched as an object formed in the light, then made its way over to Jake and Gatomon. It was a golden necklace, and connected to it was a ruby with the Crest of Love etched into it. Jake watched in awe as it slid itself around his neck and he looked over the gem, it glowing with a gentle light. Suddenly he and Gatomon felt connected to each other, as if they were a part of each other. Jake smiled down to his mate, who smiled back as both his digivice and his necklace glowed brightly, this time filling them both with an immense power as his digivice displayed the words "Digital Fusion".

"What's this?!" Myotismon demanded as he saw the two glow and merge into one-another, forming a new Champion-Level digimon. Its size was the same as Jake. It had Gatomon's ears and yellow-gloved paws, except with four digits instead of three, and the claws became retractable. The size of the snout was in-between that of the two, longer than Gatomon's but shorter than Jake's, and showed feline heritage. With the exception of the white Gatomon ears and forepaws, the rest of its body was foxlike just like Jake with red fur, and it had two tails, one Gatomon tail with a power ring at the end and a red fox tail.

"Hmm, so they finally did it," the shadowy female grinned as she pulled out her own digivice to scan this newcomer. "Hmm, Gatovulpanimon, a Champion-level cat-fox hybrid digimon. Fitting name, considering what shi came from. Ooh, a herm, too. Interesting." She was about to read off Gatovulpanimon's attacks when she decided to just watch and see for herself.

Myotismon glared at this new digimon for a moment as he tried to assess what kind of threat shi was, then grinned and started laughing while Gatovulpanimon cocked her head and looked back at him seriously.

"Ah, for such a display, you're only a Champion-level. I'll finish you quickly," Myotismon mused as he took a step back. The next instant he charged at hir while shouting 'Nightmare Claw!' and slashed his claws right at the catfox. With speeds greater than Gatomon's shi jumped back to dodge the attack and unsheathed hir claws.

"Crystal Slash!" Gatovulpanimon shouted as shi swiped hir claws in the air, which created bluish energy slashes that cut through the air at Myotismon. He quickly swung his cape in front of him, and the attack was easily deflected.

"Is that all?" he quipped as Gatovulpanimon flinched back from seeing the ineffectiveness of hir attack.

"Grr, Shadow Transport!" Gatovulpanimon growled and became enshrouded in shadows before disappearing altogether. The next instant shi appeared behind the vampire and started punching and swiping hir claws at him at lightning speeds. However, they once again proved to be virtually ineffective against the Ultimate. Myotismon grinned and used his Crimson Lightning attack against hir, trying to wrap the whip around hir. However, showing hir speed and agility once again, Gatovulpanimon deftly backflipped, sideflipped and ducked under the red whip, each time barely missing getting caught by it.

'Dang, this isn't working!' Gatovulpanimon thought as she continued to evade Myotismon's attacks. "I can dodge him, but nothing I do can harm him! Guess I better kick it up a notch." Before shi could do anything, however, Myotismon's whip finally caught hir by the waist and the catfox found hirself slammed into the ground and various boulders strewn around the area. Shi howled and screeched every time hir body made contact with something, but soon shi managed to focus fast enough between blows to use hir Shadow Transport to escape.

Myotismon grumbled and grit his teeth as he watched the catfox reappear in the air. Suddenly shi started glowing as the Crest of Reliability briefly appeared on hir chest, then changed shape as shi digivolved to Ultimate. Hir ears remained the same, but hir snout became more foxlike, while hir paws lost the yellow gloves to reveal red catlike paws. Hir two tails then merged briefly, before splitting into five light-red fox tails, and then a pure white robe appeared over hir. Finally the wings of Angewomon formed on hir back and a silver celestial broadsword with a crossbar shaped like angel wings appeared sheathed at hir side, and with a shout shi announced hir name; "Kitsanumon".

Myotismon glared at his opponent's digivolution, while BlackGatomon and her shadowy partner watched in interest. "Hey, they did it, they did it!" the black feline squealed happily, but then pondered something as she looked at Myotismon. "Hmm, but I don't remember Myotismon being so strong? He sure wasn't like this a few weeks ago. I thought Angewomon would have beat him easy?" However, the figure didn't answer and merely rubbed BlackGatomon's ear while grinning at the imminent battle.

Kitsanumon glared at Myotismon and unsheathed hir sword, holding it with hir right paw while Myotismon sneered. "You first," shi taunted as she hovered over him, which made Myotismon flinch and seethe with rage.

"You dare taunt me? Nightmare Claw!" he bellowed and lashed up at the kitsune intent on ripping hir apart, but shi swooped under the attack and slashed at him with hir sword, narrowly missing as Myotismon twisted and flew away from the blade.

"King of the Pride!" Kitsanumon yelled and the area grew dark. Myotismon watched as shadows of felines formed around Kitsanumon, before merging together into a large lion shadow and rushing at Myotismon at great speeds. The vampire barely had time to even move before the shadow engulfed him and rendered him immobile.

"Agh, gack, wh-what is this!" Myotismon demanded as he struggled and squirmed inside the shadows, trying to escape as Kitsanumon approached with hir sword held back, ready to deliver a blow.

"Crystal Slash!" shi howled and hir sword glowed with a bluish aura before she sliced right through the shadows and into Myotismon. He cried out at the blow and held the large gash as data streamed out from it. He growled and seethed as he saw that he was losing the battle, then even more so when he saw the smirk on Kitsanumon's muzzle.

"I'll wipe that smile off your face! Crimson Lightning!" With that he quickly let go of his wound and lashed out with the energy whip, wrapping it around Kitsanumon's sword. Shi yelped and growled as he tried to pull it away from hir, and shi held tight and tried to pull him in.

'Argh, where'd this sudden burst of energy come from?" shi wondered as the two struggled, but yelped as Myotismon gave a strong tug and wrested the silver sword from his foe's grasp.

"Ha! Now without your weapon, I can finish you off!" he claimed as he lashed the whip at Kitsanumon, but shi grabbed onto it briefly and swung hirself over to him. Before Myotismon could react shi dug hir fingers into his wound, causing him to writhe in agony.

"Take that, demon!" Kitsanumon growled fiercely as shi dug hir fingers in deeper and Myotismon grabbed hir wrist, trying desperately to pull the kitsune away from him.

"Argh, let... let go you accursed fox! Grisly Wing!" he bellowed and flung his data-gathering bats at point-blank range. Kitsanumon yelped and growled as shi felt the bats attack hir, but a quick dive eluded them and shi flew for hir sword. The bats followed but shi had already grabbed it and a quick Crystal Slash attack destroyed them.

"That's it, time to end this!" Kitsanumon growled as shi turned hir attention to Myotismon and gathered hir strength. The vampire dove at hir and prepared to use his Nightmare Claw until he felt a sudden, intense heat. Kitsanumon, hir eyes focused and hir sword pointed straight at hir foe, uttered the words "Judgment of the Myotu!"

With that a large fireball erupted from the tip of the sword straight at Myotismon. He flinched back and looked on in horror as the fireball approached and engulfed him. Screams could be heard as he was incinerated and broke down.

"I can't allow one as dark as you to be reformed as an egg," Kitsanumon said and decided to summon and load the data of hir fallen enemy, using it to restore the energy shi lost in the fight. With a sigh shi smiled gently as Myotismon's fog dissipated and the sun shone down. Shi then flew over to where Jake put the digi-egg and smiled as shi looked down at it.

"Hmm, quite impressive indeed. Lets go test ourselves against hir, shall we?" the shadowy figure said and jumped down the hill with BlackGatomon on her shoulder and landed near Kitsanumon. The kitsune was about to split back to Jake and Gatomon when she saw this furr and the digimon that accompanied her.

"And who are you?" the kitsune asked as shi gazed upon a black-furred feline. She was Kitsanumon's height, slender, and had an athletics' build. The two black felines giggled and Kitsanumon recognized BlackGatomon as the one who attacked them before as a Ladydevimon. They stared at each other for a moment before the black feline spoke up and grinned.

"I am called 'Kitty'."
